anyways tofu is my new fave food for the following reasons:

  • super healthy
  • cheap af!! (like $2 for 4-5 servings)
  • plain but holds flavor really well for any sauce/seasoning so you can do a lot with it
  • high protein and low carb
  • easy to make
  • doesn’t taste bad like everyone says it does (if u cook it right and use enough sauce)
  • vegetarian
  • can replace meat in literally any dish

I feel so confused about food. I used to use it as a way to cope with my depression and was really unhealthy because of it. And then I went vegan and things got better and my depression is almost gone finally after a decade. I'm a figure skater and want to eat better so that I can be in the best shape to skate to my fullest potential, but I can't go to the grocery store often, and I usually end up eating random unhealthy things I find around the house. I just feel very lost.

Need to start getting organised! When you actually have the time to go to the supermarket, stock up!! There are lots of healthy meals you can make in bulk and freeze. Soups, curries, stir fries, pastas, lasagna, tofu, tempeh etc. You can also freeze bread and have peanut butter handy in your pantry! You will find having all these meals prepared a lot less stressful for you, as you can just get them from the freezer when needed and warm them up!
Don’t be too hard on yourself, food is fuel. Nothing more or less! Yes it’s super essential for you.., throughout the day every damn day. But it shouldn’t consume you or make you feel bad. Are there any awesome Thai or sushi places around you? They are great when you need a nice vegan meal but don’t have much time. I hope you’re okay xxxx
