25 No/Low Cost Self Care Acts

1. Have a drink from your favourite cup/mug. Coffee. Tea. Hell, even plain water is nicer when it’s in your fave mug (and you’re probably dehydrated rn so get on that). Allow yourself the couple of minutes to drink it in entirety.

2. Visit the library. Seriously. Nothing says quiet me time like the quiet couches and a novel in a library.

3. Look up some topics on iTunes U and read up on them. You’ll feel accomplished when you learn about a new scholarly topic.

4. Check over your resumé. Anything need to be updated or polished? Do that now, it can come in handy if an opportunity comes knocking.

5. Call a beloved family member or close friend. I just called my aunt for the first time in a little while and honestly you feel a lot lighter and a lot warmer.

6. Listen to ASMR, Binaural Beats, or guided meditation. There’s ASMR and meditation videos on youtube for pretty much any need– general relaxation, reassurance, mock spa days…

7. Volunteer at the local animal shelter. Volunteering is proven to make you feel better about yourself, petting animals helps lower your blood pressure, and nothing compares to the love and gratitude from a dog or cat.

8. Randomly browse Wikipedia or WikiHow. Clicking the random article is always an adventure– probably a laughable one, but you might learn something new.

9. Clean out your closet. It’ll feel like a lot of weight is off your shoulders, and you can sell or donate pieces that are still in good shape.

10. Write out a list of things you like about yourself. It can be tricky at first, but write down whatever comes to mind, even though it may seem trivial. Put the list away for times when you are being too hard on yourself, or need some self love.

11. Movie night. Obviously. Netflix, Hulu, library… A lot of thrift and secondhand stores often have really cheap DVDs. Re-watch your faves, allow yourself a guilty pleasure, or choose something that looks laughably awful.

12. Have a bonfire. Check your local fire codes beforehand, first. A bonfire or a fire pit is extremely soothing, especially wrapped up in a blanket.

13. Meal Plan/Prep. You’re probably going to be cooking anyway, so setting aside a day or half a day to prep meals ahead of time helps free the rest of your schedule.

14. At-Home spa day. Wash your hair. Trim your nails. Soak your feet. Exfoliate.

15. Write letters. Especially to your grandparents if you’re emotionally close– it will make them feel really loved.

16. Sleep in or nap. No explanation needed.

17. Bake cookies or make eggless cookie dough. One serving of edible cookie dough uses only spoonfuls of ingredients you probably have at home.

18. Wash your pillowcases and linens. This is especially good if you’re like me and the depression is real. Washing sheets gets neglected but the feeling of fresh sheets makes everything suck a little bit less.

19. Forgive yourself. Acknowledge that past mistake that’s been eating you alive and accept the fact that you can’t change the past. You’re still growing, still learning.

20. Keep a happiness journal. Before bed, write three things that made you smile that day. Life won’t seem all that bad, and it’s a good way to de-stress.

21. Shamelessly sing and dance along to music you enjoy. That song you would TOTALLY kill on lip sync battle? Own it.

22. If you like makeup/skincare, go to your local sephora or drugstore that has a beauty section. Sephora does free mini makeovers if it’s not busy. At the drugstore makeup counter, ask the beauty questions that you’ve wanted answers to.

23. Remember to say “no.” Declining to do a favour or go on an outing you can’t currently justify or afford does not make you a bad person. It means you have boundaries and deserve respect.

24. Watch some game shows. Lots of channels have them, and there’s plenty of compilations on youtube.

25. Let it out in writing. Sometimes having it all out in black and white can make solutions easier to realize.

I believe in you all! Remind yourself that you’re a good person, and a bad bitch 💕

What we see is not all that happens

I don’t have much time to write something because I gotta go to work and I haven’t been able to rewatch yet. However, I can’t leave without saying some things that were very subtle but I loved anyway. The writers are consistently showing us that what happens in our screens IS DEFINITELY NOT THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPENS in the lives of our boys.

Cas knows dean is an angry sleeper. He knows he reacts like a bear and will use the gun that he keeps under his pillow. This is something that somehow had to remind us of 12x19, the episode in which Cas wanted to return the mixtape Dean gave him as an excuse to steal the Colt that he KNEW Dean would put under his pillow. Dean said in that episode that Cas came into his room and played him. The question is still the same: How does Cas know about Dean’s sleeping or waking up habits?

Dean makes Cas watch movies with him. And we’re not talking about whatever kind of movies. Dean makes Cas watch classical films he’s passionate about. When exactly does that happen?

It was Dean whose first reaction was to hug Cas. It was Dean who welcomed Cas home. It was Dean who said Cas was gone too damn long. It was Dean who said HE needed a big win and that getting Cas back was a pretty damn big win.

Notice that Dean’s learning to use the right pronouns but he’s not quite there yet. “I said I needed a big win. WE got Cas back. That’s pretty damn big win.” The one who needed a big win was Dean. Even though all of them got Cas back, it was textually and subtextually obvious that the person who experienced a big swift in mood was Dean. HE got Cas back. That’s the truth of it all! Sam and Jack got Cas back too, but Dean’s win was that he got what he said out loud that he needed; what he wanted since 13x01 (when the drunk!female angel whose name I don’t remember said Jack could do almost anything but that Cas was all the way dead… meaning Dean’s priority was Cas over all the other losses even though he mentioned them all in his prayer to God). Dean’s win was that he got what he didn’t dare ask Billie in 13x05.

There were many moments from 13x06 that we were not shown. After the brothers picked up Cas, they had to ride to the Bunker. Where did Cas sit? What did they talk about? How did Dean behave?

After Dean decided they should check the case Jack found, they had to pack and then they had to spend around 4 hours in the car (from Lebanon to Dodge City in Kansas). Did Dean and Cas have a chance to talk privately? What did they all talk about during those 4 hours?

Then in the scene where Jack woke Dean up, we could hear the crickets outside, but the sun was up and shining when we next saw Dean and Cas together. How long were they together? Did they grab something to eat before or after going to the crime scene? Did Dean just take a cowboy hat lying around in the motel they were staying in and just put it on Cas? What did they talk about before and after they left the crime scene? Were they alone at the motel before Jack and Sam got back?

The fact that we didn’t see any of those scenes doesn’t negate that there are many gaps for the writers to retcon later on.

It’s like the show is trying to prove a point here. Dean and Cas have a relationship besides hunting. Cas has watched Dean sleep enough times to know his reactions, and they have had enough time off screen to have moments like watching movies together. We already knew they usually text; we already knew that Dean gave Cas a mixtape at some point off screen, but apparently THERE’S A LOT ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP WE DON’T SEE ON OUR SCREENS… and the show is trying very hard to prove that much is canon.

I’m sure this is going to be important one day in the foreseeable future. What we see is not all that happens. Keep that in mind, folks!

Peter’s homemade suit

Can I just talk about how proud Peter was with his homemade Spider-Man suit? In the beginning of the film, he wasn’t aware that Tony Stark made him a suit so the kid brought his own costume. When he was filming everything he said “Okay, Peter. You got this. You got this.” while looking at the mirror looking nervous but excited at the same time because out of all the people, he was going to help Mr. Stark fight Captain America.

So when Happy said, “What are you wearing?” Peter was so confused and the camera showed him looking down to his outfit while saying in such an innocent way, “It’s my suit!”

You can tell it in his tone of voice that this was something he was very proud of. He most likely even sewn it himself. It’s something a 15-year-old with not much allowance can come up with. It wasn’t about just looking cool (for a kid), it was something that he would be wearing around comfortably, swinging here and there. I mean, it’s made up of a hoodie, long sleeved shirt, and joggers. Tony may have made fun of it and called it pajamas, but it’s something Peter was happy about because he designed it himself and you can even notice the spider symbol on his hoodie chest was drawn using a sharpie. He didn’t have resources but he improvised.

His homemade web-shooters? According to the Art of the Movie book, his web shooters have two separate cases that contained two chemicals and when he presses the button, it mixes as it moves forward to produce his webbing. That’s pretty darn neat that he came up with it and manufactured it himself. And I absolutely loved the fact that he was making his web fluid during chemistry lab class in secret when his teacher wasn’t looking and that’s just pretty realistic because again, he didn’t have the materials at home. He’s a dumpster diver and I wouldn’t be surprised if his web-shooters initially came from that.

And his mask? It can squint and everything and then I realized, he made it especially like that because his senses are dialed to 11 and he needed to focus because there was just too much input for him. As much as possible, he’d like to prevent sensory overload. I liked the fact Tony took this into consideration as well since the new suit was able to do that too.

Peter’s a resourceful kid and I loved that about him. So when Happy showed him the new and improved suit made by Tony Stark, he was so over the moon and went “Oh my god. I-I… I don’t understand. Is it… is it for me?!” It was just so pure and the innocence around it was amazing.

And honestly? He deserved it. He deserved it so much and I’m so happy for him that he got a multi-million dollar suit and yet he still kept his first suit.

“Will you please tell me what they’re about?! How do you expect me to help if you don’t tell me?!”
“You should go and see someone about those nightmares. They’re only getting worse, aren’t they?”
“Can we sleep with the lights on?”
“I haven’t slept peacefully in weeks.”
“I can’t tell you my nightmare this time… It’s too bad, I don’t want to have to say it out loud.”
“Can I sleep in your room? I don’t think I’ll be able to fall asleep in my own bed.”
“I’m sorry for waking you… I had a really bad nightmare.”
“I can’t stop thinking about that weird dream I had weeks ago. It’s like it’s haunting me.”
“You look exhausted. Bad night?”
“Calm down, calm down. It was just a dream. It’s over now.”
“You’re overreacting. Everyone has bad dreams sometimes. No need to get all weird about it.”
“Are you still thinking about that nightmare? I’m sure it didn’t mean anything, okay? We’re not in a horror movie.”
“You should go to the doctor. These nightmares are making you miss sleep and you’re always exhausted. Get help.”
“How about you come and sleep in my bed? I’ll watch over you while you fall asleep, I promise.”
“I think I’d feel less tired if I didn’t sleep at all anymore. These nightmares are killing me.”
“I thought you didn’t get them anymore.”
“I guess it was a bad idea to watch a horror movie before bed…”
“When will you finally tell me what they’re about?”
“Wow, you look exhausted. Did you sleep at all last night?”
“Oh my god, that was horrible… that was so horrible…”
“How about you sleep in my bed for the coming days? It can be like a sleepover. I’m sure you’ll feel good enough and the nightmares will stay away!”
“I can’t breathe! It was real, it was!”
“Have you tried writing them down? They might go away if you do…”
“Have you any idea how worried I am? Please tell me what’s up with you or I can’t help! You look exhausted!”
“Please leave the light on.”
“Have you any idea what’s causing these nightmares?”
“I don’t think you understand how exhausting it is to not have had a good night’s rest in weeks.”

Give me LGBTQA Marvel!

Honestly, I really wish Marvel would just step up to the plate and make at least one of their main characters that are still single to be LGBTQA.

Like Steve would be the obvious choice with Bucky. Even if you don’t ship them personally, these are two well-defined, in-depth characters that have been in enough movies for the audiences to know and care about them. They have characterization beyond just ‘that gay characters,’ they both have a role in the coming movies and clear, defined personality. For fuck’s sake, there was a whole movie showing how devoted Steve is to Bucky, with subtext literally everywhere.

And yet, they keep shoving him with random female characters like Shannon who has ten lines and no development whatsoever. And it’s not like they don’t already have a range of characters!

Sexualized aliens? Go for it!

Literal Gods and multiple worlds? Believable!

A robot born from AI and a magic crystal who falls in love with a ‘Witch?’ Well, it’s 2017!

A talking raccoon and a humanoid tree who are best friends? Sure, why not?

But gay superhero?

That’s not believable.

We can’t do that.

Think of the ratings!

They are arguably the largest movie franchise of this decade, making millions of dollars in profit each movie, and they’re still too damn scared to show any LGBTQ characters.

And what pisses me off the most is the hypocrisy.

I grew up with Marvel comics, and no matter if you read X-Men or Avengers, the main point of all the comics was acceptance. It was about people who were different from the norm, who were hated for something they were born into and had no control over, and it was about them slowly being seen and accepted by society.

Hell, most of the X-Man ‘mom I’m a mutant’ scenes was designed to show what it was like for kids coming out to parents they knew wouldn’t accept them! For example, take the scene from the only movies, where Bobby Drake (Iceman) explains to his parents what he is!

Like, the comic books have tons of LGBTQA rep. Bobby is 100% gay:

Captain America is hinted at being Bisexual:

They had an INTER-RACIAL gay wedding years ago with NorthStar:

Godly lesbian couples:

And even shape-shifting gender-fluid couples!

But that’s the whole point of Marvel. It’s about being different, it’s about breaking the mold and changing views. It’s about people slowly becoming accepted by their families or making new families along the way. It’s about everyone belonging and everyone having a place.

I grew up reading these comics, and when I was trying to come out I would find refuge there. I would look at my favorite characters and tell myself if people can accept mutants and aliens, surely society can accept me being gay. And as a scared 15-year-old, this was my ideal world; a world where you could be yourself and have others standing next to you, ready to (literally) fight for you and your right to exist.

I wish Marvel would understand that not everyone watching their movies needs to see a straight, white male saving the day again and again. Marvel doesn’t need perfect, cliché heroes and penny-dreadful romance stories. That’s not what Marvel is supposed to be about.

That’s not who Marvel was supposed to be for.

Marvel is supposed to be for people like us, who are still fighting for their place and acceptance in society. Marvel is for the outcasts, the ‘weirdo’s,’ the people still scared to show who they are to the world because they’re not sure if the world will understand them.

Marvel is supposed to be for us.

I just wish someone would tell Marvel that.

Tending an Injury: Surprise Tangled!Au

libbyangelofthelord  asked:

Steve and Bucky seeing what people call gangsters today and talk about the Irish and Italian mafia when they were growing up and how they got some money during hard times for doing some runs for the mafia

“Huh.”  Steve looks over to Bucky where he sits curled up in a deep, cozy papasan chair. “I don’t think we qualify anymore, Buck.”

Bucky hummed, cheeks stuffed full of popcorn.

“I’m sorry, what?” Sam leaned forward in his seat. “You don’t qualify as what anymore?”  The anticipation on his face was incredible.

Bucky shrugged.  “’Snothin’. Steve n’I just did odd jobs back in the day.  Had to make ends meet, you know how it is.”

Clint narrowed his eyes.  “Wait.  Waitwaitwait. Odd jobs.” He looked at the screen to the rolling credits of the movie they’d just watched and back to Steve and Bucky.  “Oh my God.  Is that your way of saying you were Old-Timey Gangsters?”

It was Steve’s turn to shrug.  “Not really.  Sort of. –I mean.  Officially, legally.  Illegally.  Yeah.”

Oh my God.”  Steve was pretty sure Sam was going to have a heart attack. “Why did I not know this?!”

Bucky wriggled around so he could face Sam better.  “It was prohibition for us.  People were still drinkin’.  Steve needed medicine and an honest job didn’t pay as much as we needed. So.”  He shrugged.

“So I managed logistics and Bucky did the literal heavy lifting. Not really that big a deal.”

Clint was grinning a mile wide.  “This is so much better than I could imagine.  Steve, you had mob connections.”

“Have.”

Bucky hummed.

What?!”  Sam squeaked.

Steve made a defenseless gesture.  “Families like that have long memories.  They know I’m alive.”  He nodded towards the bar.  “You think I buy my liquor?”

Bucky grinned.  “You always did ingratiate yourself.” He looked at Sam.  “He was their best-selling supplier Brooklyn had.  They owe him; he helped keep them in business long enough for for prohibition to end and for them to make real money.”  Bucky held up his glass and let Dum-E cart it over to the bar, smiling wickedly.  “Another whiskey.”

When Baby is on her Period

-she might be more little or less little than normal. Listen to your babies cues and hints. If she is feeling little, treat her little. If she is feeling big, treat her big. Don’t try and coax her into feeling big or little, just let her be where she needs to be.

-She might be in a limbo stage. Not big or little. Give as many choices as possible, cup or sippy for example. But don’t force her to choose. If she cant choose, get her both. That way one minute she can be big, and the next little. This is helpful because just like mood swings are prevalent during this time, switching between big and little also happens, at least to me.

-be understanding, give punishments less frequently and less harshly. Try to remember that she is probably in pain and is just trying to express it. If you would normally give spankings for doing something, try lines, or corner time, and if you do give punishments during this time, after care is so important! She is probably very emotional and vulnerable right now and need reassurance.

-Get her some medicine and a cup of water or juice to help her get it down. Your baby is probably in pain and medicine helps so much. Basically the only time I ever take pain killers in during this week.

-If baby wants cuddles, she should get them. If she wants to be left alone, leave her be for a bit.

-LOTS of liquids. If your baby wants a special drink, try and get it for her, unless its alcohol. If you normal don’t let her have soda, consider it once or twice during this week. She is losing LOTS of fluid, and it needs to be replenished. Water and juice are the best, but any drink gets some liquid back in her system, except for alcohol. I always like to have like three cups at all times during this week. Three different drinks in three types of cups.  Maybe a cup of coffee, a bottle of juice, and a sippy of water. This way I can have lots of choices.

-Try to remind her to change her pad or tampon. I know this may be awkward for some, but if she is feeling extra little it might be hard for her to remember. Try to give reminders every two hours to be safe.

-snacks and meals. Similar to drinks, try to be lenient.  She still should be eating healthy, but if she has a craving, try to get it. If she wants mac and cheese, try and make some, but also make her favorite veggie. She might not want it, but it will help if you get it ready. If she is not hungry, I never want to eat during this week, encourage her by making some of her favorite foods and snacks and give her the choices. Don’t force her to eat, but if you keep her favorite foods around and ready, it will help her find the will to eat.

-Your baby might be more tired than usual, encourage naps and rest time.

-Set up a bathie or shower for her. Warm baths are the best, but if that isn’t an option, get her a warm shower towel and help her get in. Getting the energy to get up and actually take a bath or shower is hard, but it helps so much! She will feel much better during and after.

-If you can’t be with her, like if you need to go to work, send as many cute messages as you can. It makes us feel really special and loved.

-If she needs to go to work, remind her that it’s very important. If she needs to take a sick day, that’s fine, but encourage her to only do it once. Usually for me its the first 24 hours that’s the worst.

-Set up her favorite show or movie and lay her down. If you have a TV in the bedroom, her bed is probably the best place. Lots of pillows and blankets, so she can sit or lay. I always get cold, and then hot, so try to have a fan and blankets so she can switch back and forth. Ask if she want to watch a big show, or a little show, but again don’t force her to pick. If she can’t make a choice try a teen movie or show, something she might like to watch no matter what she is feeling, or if you have a special show you two like to watch together do that.

-Ask your baby if she needs anything. Try to be helpful in any way you can.

-Remember that even if your baby is fussy she still loves you and really appreciates all the things you do to help her. Emotions always run high during this week. She might be really sad, really happy, really mad. It might switch every few minutes. Keep a level head. If you get emotional, it won’t help.

-remind her constantly she is beautiful, cute, sexy, loved. She might be feeling really self conscious, bloated, or just ugly in general. -Never ever blame a littles behavior or emotions on her period, even if you know that’s why. Yes, we are more emotional or likely to act out, but NEVER say “are you acting out/being bratty because of your period?” Our feelings are still valid and very real.
It Wasn't Worth All The "Horror Movie Bullshit"

Context: I am DMing a group of players through an amped-up version of the Death House from Curse of Strahd. This is meant to be a one-shot mini-campaign where many (if not all) of them will die, so I’m doing my best to make things as dangerous and scary as possible, including playing creepy music which has them all on edge. The group has made it to the third floor of the house and found two doors, one locked and one unlocked. This takes place after they fail to open the locked door.

Player 1: So the other door is unlocked, right?

DM: Right.

Player 1: I go to open the door… 13 for perception?

DM: As you look around your notice this room is mostly empty save for a desk with a large iron key on top of it. There is also a window on the far wall and sitting on it as a porcelain doll with a faded yellow dress. It’s eyes seem to follow you.

Player 1: Nope! Fuck that! I close the door.

Player 3: But the key! What if it unlocks the other door?

Player 1: Ugh, fine. I open the door again.

DM: You see the same scene, but the doll is no longer on the windowsill.

Player 1: Uh, perception 17 to see where it is?

DM: You cautiously pure around the room, looking for any signs of a faded yellow dress, however seen nothing… Until you look down.

Player 3: NO.

DM: Yes. The doll is standing by the partially open door, looking up at you with blue glass eyes.

Player 2: I roll to fucking punt it across the room! *rolls a 2*

DM: You take a step forward and go to kick the doll with all your might… only to have it grab your boot with its tiny porcelain fingers.

Player 2: HOLY SHIT! BURN IT! BURN IT!

Player 1: I ROLLED A 15 TO CAST FIREBOLT ON THE DOLL!

DM: You hear a high pitched shriek echoing from the room as the doll’s head explodes into flames, it’s worn yellow dress catching almost immediately. You watch in abject horror as it releases its grip and stumbles back. As its hair burns away, its glass eyes roll upwards to look at you before beginning to melt back into its porcelain skull.

Player 3: NOPE! I roll to slam the door shut!

DM: The door slams shut without a problem and the screaming stops abruptly.

Player 1: Guys… we still need that key…

After some argueing about whether or not getting the key and potentially unlocking the other door was “worth all this horror movie bullshit”, Player 1 again steps up.

Player 1: Okay, I open the door again and get a 14 perception.

DM: The first thing you notice is an eerie silence followed by the distinct smell of sulfur and burning hair, and lastly you see the remains of the doll. Her body is charred black, her hair has burned away along with the clothes she was wearing, and the sockets which once held blue eyes are empty, yet somehow you still feel as if you are being watched. She sits upon the desk, holding the iron key in her lap.

Player 1: FUCK IT, I’M GONNA SPRINT IN THERE, SNATCH THE KEY AND GET THE FUCK OUT AS FAST AS I CAN!

DM: Roll me an athletics check.

Player 1: 19?

DM: You do so easily, slamming the door behind you. Congratulations, you got the key.

Queue having to take a 10 minute break as the DM laughed about their reactions and everyone shared their mutual terror of babydolls, agreeing that after this all was over they were going to burn the whole house down.

Imagine watching your boyfriend Tom talking about you in an interview (Tom Holland x Fem!Reader)

warning: fluffy!! fluff fluff fluff, language

a/n: here’s a cute little imagine I wrote for u guys, i hope u guys like it xx Also, I’m trying something new with this so I’m so excited for u guys to read it!!

You opened your laptop, hoping to find some type of cure for your boredom. Tom’s only been gone for a week and you already missed him terribly. I mean, it’s kind of natural for you to want your boyfriend with you at all times. Or most of the time. Right?

You sighed, opening up YouTube and immediately letting out a little laugh as one of Tom’s interviews popped up in your recommendations. It was titled ‘Tom Holland talks relationships, romance, and more!’ Your eyebrows quirked up as you read it, curiosity getting the better of you as you clicked on it. As the video loaded, you briefly read the description and saw that it was pretty recent, only uploaded two days ago. A thirty-second ad popped up, causing you to roll your eyes in impatience.

Dear Anti-SJWs

No one is “making” Black Panther a “race thing”. It ALWAYS WAS.

Black Panther was created by two Jewish artists as a response to criticisms of a lack of diversity in comics. Even before, Marvel was well known for doing the one of the unthinkable, most revolutionary thing in the world of comics at the time: putting PoC in the background of shots.

And they specifically *gasp* weren’t caricatures (tbf, though, a lot of the dialogue was….yeah. But hey, baby steps)

But you know what? A few Black people used as scenery wasn’t enough for Stan and Jack. They realised early on that Black kids read comics and should have a hero for themselves. They should have someone they could look up to and emulate, someone that stood up for issues they cared about.

So they created Black Panther and wrote him as a fantasy for what Africa could have been if colonialism didn’t happen.

Since then, other authors have used Black Panther to address other social issues from a Black perspective. In fact, the most acclaimed Black Panther series are those with Black creators, lauded for their authenticity. This has led, of course, to the Black Panther movie. If you look up the people cast in this movie, the director, the costume designers, etc. you’ll find that each one is likely linked to a political movie about Black issues in some way.

And y'all say we’re MAKING it a race thing? nah, we’re just making it impossible for you to ignore that it IS a race thing and always WILL BE a race thing.

Seriously, if Static Shock came our right now, y'all would complain about us making it into a “race thing”. I bet I’ll see y'all complaining that we make the Green Lantern movie into a “race thing”. And I DISTINCTLY remember y'all saying we were turning Luke Cage into a “race thing”.

If y'all don’t want to see “race things”, then I suggest y'all don’t watch this or any sci-fi movie featuring a Black person as the central character. Cuz every one of them will BE a “race thing”. Because apparently, pointing out that we live kinda shitty lives and talking about the issues WE face is too much for you to handle. Apparently, you prefer movies like X-Men or Hunger Games when the metaphor is is super vague and behind a white face. But when it’s explicit, you can’t handle it and get triggered (for lack of a better term). That’s fine, I don’t want your ass in the theater with me. Don’t watch it.

But don’t get it in your head that because you antis don’t see it, it’ll flop. Majority of Black people on this website (frak, probably just majority of Black people in general) are going to see it. White “sjws” are going to see it. Non-black PoC allies are going to see it. We’ll be fine. When JUST Black people see a movie we turn it into a huge success. So nah, we don’t need you. Don’t watch it. Cuz I can garuntee that you probably won’t like it if you understand it.

Then again, the fact that this character has existed for such a long time and you STILL don’t see how it’s a “race thing” shows how well you are at understanding complex issues…so maybe you will enjoy it, idk.

Anyway, Takè le Wakanda and fuck you.
