Nine Lives (2016) present

OK so I work at a small restaurant and with the Super Bowl going on we were slow as all hell as expected. Well we had one table come in and eat (I hate these people by the way) and during the halftime show I couldn’t help but overhear them talking shit about everyone up there.
With Coldplay they said the people behind in the back had to be choreographed and were probably paid. What the hell? It’s a show! I would be surprised if they weren’t being paid.
I couldn’t hear what they had to say about Bruno Mars but I could tell from their faces they were talking shit. Somehow they moved on to Steven Tyler and called him a horrible human being, I don’t know how.
And when Beyonce got up there they called her and her dancers dirty whores with poodle hair. That’s when I wanted to snap.

They kept talking shit the whole time and didn’t have one good word to say at all so I don’t even know why they watched. It was ridiculous.

Steven Tyler Is the Biggest Taylor Swift Fan Ever, Says Steven Tyler
  • GQ Magazine:So Pump came out in actual 1989. You guys were already staging a comeback.
  • Steven Tyler:Lifespan, right? She told the audience that's when she was born, and I was like, "Wait, whaaaaaaat?" My God, I got ties older than that!
  • GQ:When she was a fetus, she already had 20 years of Aerosmith records to catch up on!
  • ST:I thought she named it that because she was being quirky! Like if we called our new album 1971 because that's when the band started. I kind of base my life on albums—what year was Rocks, what year was Get a Grip, and what year was Pump, what year was Toys in the Attic. 1989 was such a big year for Aerosmith.
  • GQ:She doesn't seem like your average 25-year-old, does she?
  • ST:She is an incredible entity—it's unreal what that woman is. She reminds me of the wonder around Madonna. Your average person thinks Madonna's singing "Like a Virgin," but if you look at what she endured in this man's-world music business of ripoffs, scoundrels, and bastards, she's doing it like that. She's a phenomenon. She's like a beautiful guitar that's got beautiful strings, and when they're strummed they sing these notes, but if you lean it up against the amp it starts feeding back. If you lean Taylor up against her audience—and she's singing and they're screaming—it's a complete circuit. It's like a feedback loop.
  • GQ:Were you expecting that kind of reaction from her fans?
  • ST:Well, I don't wake up in the morning and go, "Oh, my God, I'm Steven Tyler," but I walked onstage in front of a bunch of 16-year-olds, and they were all singing the lyrics at the top of their lungs. It was a real moment.

“She’s a phenomenon. She’s like a beautiful guitar that’s got beautiful strings, and when they’re strummed they sing these notes, but if you lean it up against the amp it starts feeding back. If you lean Taylor up against her audience–and she’s singing and they’re screaming– its a complete circuit. Its like a feedback loop.” Steven Tyler 👸🎸🎶🎤😆🔄🔁👏🙌💛
