“We have known each other many years, but this is the first time you’ve come to me for counsel or for help. I can’t remember the last time you invited me to your house for a cup of coffee, even though my wife is godmother to your only child. But let’s be frank here. You never wanted my friendship. And you feared to be in my debt.”
Scenario of female S/O telling Akechi that she wants to have a child with him? Maybe?
Poor S/O’s gotta take care of two kids now lmao. Thank you for the request! Enjoy!
S/O truly admired how much Akechi had matured over the years throughout their relationship and into their marriage. They tied the knot a few years ago, and their bond has still continued to flourish. Now that the two have reached a point of stability in their life, S/O was now ready for the next step: parenthood.
One morning, the couple was chatting at the kitchen table, happily holding hands and drinking coffee. They had the day off of work, and S/O determined that it would be the perfect day to express her desire to have a child.
She was extremely nervous, but seeing the peaceful and content gleam in her husband’s eyes strengthened her resolve. “Hey… Goro.”
Akechi attentively glanced at her. Somehow he grew more and more handsome as the years progressed. “Yes, dear?”
S/O fidgeted with her coffee mug. “I was wondering what you would think… about having a child.”
One thing that remained the same was his sterling poker face, but S/O could almost hear the gears turning in his head. He took a sip of his coffee and spoke carefully. “I’m not opposed, but… may I ask what brought this up?”
“We’re at a good point in our life. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could share the joy of existence with someone else? I’m ready to do this… with you.”
He smiled softly, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “That’s a great reason… but I worry if I am… capable enough.”
Akechi isn’t always adept expressing himself, and S/O knew that she was asking a lot, but there wasn’t any doubt in her mind that he would be a fantastic father.
“If you’re not ready for this, that’s completely fine. I don’t want to pressure you; I want this to be unanimous. But if you’re concerned about your abilities of being a father… that’s fine, too. I have my concerns about being a good mother as well. I don’t think any parent is ever sure. But I know that you’ve earned your right to be a father, and you’ll change our child’s life in the best way possible… just as you did for me.”
Akechi blinked. “I… didn’t know you were so passionate about having a child with me. Truthfully, it’s been on my mind for quite some time, but I always managed to make up an excuse, or focus on my flaws…” He paused. “However, if I have you to pick me back up if I fall, then raising a child would be… far less intimidating.”
S/O was practically sitting on the edge of her seat, clinging on to his every word. “So… what do you think?”
Akechi stood up and gestured toward the bedroom with a mischievous glint in his eye as he said, “let’s get started.”
