Shout out to Stephen Russel for injecting so much warmth, humour, humanity and likability into Codsworth and Nick -
I’ve recently played through nicks storyline a second time, and hooley dooley, the voice acting is amazing.
I think nicks voice is a huge part of why people love that character so much, and voice actors are often under appreciated - Stephen Russel, if you somehow see this, you rock!
Vulnerability is the only authentic state. Being vulnerable means being open, for wounding, but also for pleasure. Being open to the wounds of life means also being open to the bounty and beauty. Don’t mask or deny your vulnerability: it is your greatest asset. Be vulnerable: quake and shake in your boots with it. The new goodness that is coming to you, in the form of people, situations, and things can only come to you when you are vulnerable, i.e. OPEN.

“Reckless, impulsive, immoral — how come there’s such a difference between the way you teach and the way you live? Why are you so bold in argument and talking, but when it comes to the point, when it’s something that’s actually happening — I mean, now you’re so fucking careful!”
-You don’t like small talk that much. -I do worry about small talk because in the back of me mind, during some small talk, I might suddenly realize that we are mortal and death is coming. Cruel death. The icy hand, the icy hand, death cometh. So sometimes that distracts me from the old small talk, Stephen. -I know the feeling. Death looms at all times. -It’s looming right now.
