Confession: It frustrates me so much that everyone nationwide pissed their pants over The Hunger Games when it came out, but Stephen King's "The Long Walk" published years before had the same "kids dying for a competition" premise and it gets NO praise.
Confession: I am convinced that there are things Stephen has seen or experienced that he will never share except through parts of his stories, and I desperately wish to know which scenes aren't totally fiction.
Confession: The Dark Tower books keep me sane. They're my home and my base to touch back on when my life gets crazy. They helped me through my rough years and have given me a strength in my adulthood I didn't know was inside me. I don't know where I'd be now if they had never fallen into my life.
Confession: I think The Talisman is such an underrated work. I mean, people, it's great! The places, the characters, the whole story are so damn amazing. I really can't stand who stops reading it "because it's too slow". And The Black House is stunning too.
Confession: My best friend caught me crying while reading The Dark Tower. She has now refused to read it (or let me talk to her about it) because she is afraid that one of the main characters is going to die.
