Anime Openings

Have you ever wished that someone would make a list of the best anime openings known to man? Look no further! Here are 10 (Opinions)! (Keep in mind there are about 10 million out there, and my mind changes a lot)

10. Noragami Opening 1- Goya No Machiawase by Hello Sleepwalkers

Just watch this. You will have no regrets. Awesome visuals and the coolest vocals ever.

9. Soul Eater Opening 1- Resonance by T.M. Revolution

This was really really close with the second opening Papermoon, but this one’s interesting animation wins it.

8. Attack on Titan Opening 1- Guren No Yumiya by Linked Horizon

I don’t think you can be a part of the anime community if you haven’t heard this song at least once before.

7. Angel Beats Opening 1- My Soul, Your Beats! by Lia

It fits really well with the show, and I love the scenes introducing the characters and the flashing part they change every episode.

6. Steins;Gate Opening 1- Hacking to the Gate by Kanako Ito

Speaking of openings that fit the show…yeah well this one.

7. Sword Art Online Opening 1- Crossing Field By LiSA

LiSA’s voice is the greatest and you just can’t argue with that.

6. Diamond no Ace Opening 3- Hashire! Mirai by GLAY

The animation fits perfectly with the song, and the guitar riff that plays throughout it is awesome.

5. Haikyuu!! Opening 1- Imagination by SPYAIR

This one is mostly based off of the fact that I really love SPYAIR’s music and Haikyuu!!

4. Tokyo Ghoul Opening 1- Unravel by TK from Ling Tostie Sigure

I don’t even really need to explain this one just listen to it and you’ll get why it’s number 4.

3. Guilty Crown Opening 1- My Dearest by Supercell

2. Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso Opening 1- Hikaru nara by Goose House

I love how all of the voices and Goose house can come together like this, and the mix between the animated scenes and beautiful still pictures.

(Honorable Mentions: Soul Eater OP 1 and 2, Guilty Crown OP 2, Nagi No Asukara OP 1, Anohana OP 1, Black Butler OP 1, Blue Exorcist OP 1 and 2, Clannad Afterstory OP 1, Deadman Wonderland OP, Code Geass OP, Durarara!! OP, Darker Than Black S2 OP, Gintama Enchousen OP 3, FMA OP 4, Haikyuu!! OP 2, Yowamushi Pedal OP 2, Aldnoah.Zero OP, Spice and Wolf OP, Hamatora OP, NGE OP 1, Baccano OP, Elfen Lied OP, okay this is a lot I am going to stop)

1. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Opening 1- Again by Yui

This one is sort of biased, because FMAB was one of the first anime I watched and I’ve heard this song about a thousand times. Yui’s voice is so pretty, and I like how it can switch from a fast song to a slow song so quickly. Fits the show perfectly.

That’s it! Tell me if you want credit for a GIF, or if you think I missed any good ones. Hope you enjoyed and found some music you like!

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Cognitive Function Description

Ni is usually associated with envisioning how the future will unfold and fulfilling an ideal vision of how the Ni-user wants the future to be. This is because Introverted Intuition has the ability to recognize how one events follows another through sense of time. All processes take place in time, and there is always a root from the past and the continuation into the future.

We all experience the fear of being late, may develop anxiety for the future, or sense an incoming danger or safety, all due to introverted Intuition. Everyone experiences a sense of time. With Ni we have the ability to forecast events of the future, learn from our mistakes in the past and avoid take the wrong actions.

This also makes Ni detached from the present and generally has a lack of direct attention to the outer world, therefore becoming the opposite of Se by definition.

All types with Ni in the functional stack (NJs and SPs) want have a clear plan of the future ahead of them, and thus might not relate to the experience of just “living in the moment”. NJs can sometimes accurately predict the outcome of events.

This is why I think the story line of Steins;Gate relates to the theme of Ni, as the characters try to figure out the concept of time travel and it’s relation to Einsteins relativity theory. When the protagonist comes across obstacles such as the death happening over and over again, they have to figure out the reason of this and why it keeps taking place through the events of time travel. All the decisions they make to change the following events through time travel is the perception of Ni.

Therefore the main question asked by Introverted Intuition is where is it coming from and where is it going?

The theme of symbolism is also described with Ni. The cognitive function also develops mental imagery, which tends to be highly abstract and deprived from the element of time and intangible processes between the objects or events. For example, the opening Steins;Gate has a butterfly and a time capsule at the ending, symbolizing the butterfly effect (the concept that small things can have huge effects) and it’s metaphorical significance in science.

See this post for Ni vs Ne

Ne in contrast is about the potential energy of an object and possibilities. This is an extroverted focus as it is not related to the individuals perspective like Ni is, with it’s involvement of the individuals own internal sense of time.
