Third-Party Advocates Sue Over Presidential Debates
The lawsuit argues the debates improperly benefit Democrats and Republicans.
I implore you all to get the word out about this lawsuit.
The Libertarian Party and the Green Party, along with their 2012 presidential and vice presidential nominees (Gary Johnson and Jim Gray for the Libertarian Party and Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala for the Green Party), as well as the Justice Party’s 2012 presidential nominee (Rocky Anderson) have opened a lawsuit against the Commission on Presidential Debates.
If successful, the rules of inclusion in the presidential debates will be changed to include all candidates who can hypothetically win the electoral college. This would change the entire precedent of the presidential debates and open up a new national dialogue about politics in general in this country. It would put an end to the two larges parties, the Democrats and the Republicans, controlling the debates, and possibly allow the first third party or independent candidate to win the White House in centuries.
I urge you all to stay tuned and lend your support to the third party candidates as this lawsuit plays out. It could be a new beginning for America.
