staying strong

When we miss someone,
We think about all the good things they have done and said and all the good times we have had with them.
But
We must not crumble and go back because
There’s a reason we have to miss them and not be with them.
It’s very helpful to in such a moment of weakness think about all the bad things they have said and done and why we don’t talk anymore.
It sounds silly but it really does help.

Here’s to the kids with the screwed up heads.
Here’s to the kids that would rather be dead.
Here’s to the kids who believe a bullet to the head
Would be better than one more night in that cold, hard bed.

Here’s to the kids who are terrified of their mind.
Here’s to the kids who have always felt left behind.
After all, wouldn’t it be better if I just left you all behind?

Here’s to the kids that have nothing to lose.
Here’s to the kids who really know this isn’t just another case of the winter blues.
Here’s to the kids that you would never choose to sit by at lunch,
Or any other time for that matter.
This is more than just a pitter-patter on the roof of my mind.
It trickles down my spine
Until I start to unwind —

PLEASE BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU I AM FINE!

no more questions, please.

Here’s to to kids who really try.
Here’s to the kids that could break down and cry.
Here’s to the kids that stay alive.

Here’s to the kids…

Here’s to the memory of the kids that didn’t make it this far.
Here’s to the memory of those kids that didn’t find their purpose.
Here’s to the memory of the kids that thought they were useless.

Here’s to the kids that won’t die in vain.
Here’s to the kids whose pain won’t be forgotten.

Here’s to the kids who learned how to cope.
Here’s to the kids who still try to hold onto hope.

Here’s to the kids…

Here’s to the kids that don’t want to die.
Here’s to the kids that keep trying to stay alive.

Please, kids, keep staying alive.
