okay, last aster post (for today at least) i promise… :) these are growing not far way from where i live. the city had some small gardens here for rent for a small yearly fee, but two years ago they took back the allotments (making a lot of people really angry) because of some construction plans, which in the end were never realized…so gardens went wild and feral…didn’t bother these beauties, that’s for sure.
after doing some research, i came across the wikipedia page for the aster genus, which seem to be quite helpful (don’t know if botanically correct though), and the page for Aster novae-angliae and it’s list of cultivars, unfortunately without photos, so i guess i just have to google all of them to get some identification done…but it’s something! (hear me, kihaku-gato? we can both do our math… :)
