starting with my on my theme

Bloody Bouquet, Tsukinami Carla and Shin.

Hi guys! It has been a while since I published something for the DL fandom, but a few days ago I woke up with the great news of reaching my 100 followers! Thanks to the support of this fandom in my first edits I was able to reach this goal, so to all those people who helped me send them a virtual hug. To celebrate this achievement today I started to edit some wallpapers, I chose the Tsukinamis because I had never done anything about them, and take advantage of all the official art for the Bloody Bouquet. Hope you enjoy them!

PS: Would you like me to do more wallpapers of the rest of the guys with this theme?

"Dark Star: H.R. Giger's World" was a pretty good documentary on him, I enjoyed it. My favorite thing I learned bout him was the tiny train he used to ride in a miniature nightmarish theme park he had in his back yard.

And you just improved my day considerably since I’m now imagining Giger (with a black conductor’s hat on, of course) rolling around on a tiny train. :D Thanks. You know, I’ve had that doc suggested to me before…I think. Yeah, I believe I have. I also think I say that I don’t know anything about him and would probably enjoy learning more pretty often (every few months or so). I guess I should bump it up on my endless list of stuff to explore, hm? I appreciate the rec very much. Have a nice weekend.

How do you make aesthetic posts like the one you just posted? Do you use any templates, or psds or anything? Is there a tutorial I could use?? I really want to make some but I don't know where to begin

I don’t use templates, unless it’s an instagram au edit. but I do use psds! you can find a ton here and here! and some on my personal resources blog.

I highly recommend using a psd, because that makes all the pictures go well together. if you don’t have photoshop, I’ve heard the app VSCO works really well becasue you can reapply the same editing settings to another photo, which is exactly what a psd does.

as for tutorials, check this out. I’ve also made two tutorials; character posters, and animated gif (the pics in my tutorials show up squished on my theme sorryyy don’t know how to fix that)

honestly, it takes practice. start with a moodboard or character poster. it takes time to find good pictures that match, but they are quite easy to make in terms of editing. and keep making stuff. don’t let the notes discourage you. make stuff for characters and ships you like so when you’re making the edit, it’s genuinely fun. try to challenge yourself. once you’ve done a few of the same edits (like moodboards), try a picspam. or a typography edit. just to try new things and see what you prefer doing! hope this helps!! xx

Disney Park Laughs pt. 2

I had such a good response to the first one, so here I am spilling more of my silly things I want to happen~

- Haunted Mansion: To start us off in here, the ominous deep voice already gives me goosebumps. I believe he says something about how we can only leave “his way.” I imagine you can lean in, or maybe even under your breath, mention being “tickled to death.” Which is a phrase that could be a theme on this ride. Don’t let me forget it.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Another favorite of mine. Sitting in the boats listening to them sing and reliving the movie. “Dead man tell no tales, what do ticklish girls tell?” We come to the end and there sits my favorite pirate, Captain Jack. Make sure to ask me how much rope work a pirate knows, and how many places on a ship Jack could tie me…
- Imagination! With Figment: Now this hell of a ride is only exclusive to Walt Disney World I believe. You explore the five different senses, including touch. So when we get to the part where we go past *the door* make sure to let that smirk come to your face. Or you can even squeeze my sides a little, because my laughter will fit right in.
- Indiana Jones: This one is short and sweet, because the ride is fast. Anticipation is everything though, right? Make a deal with me…if I don’t scream the whole ride, you’ll stop hovering your fingers over my knee. Maybe “accidentally” grab my knee a few times because you “got scared” too.

So maybe I really want these things to happen.

Things: Chaotic Neutral Weekend Edition
  1. OK so most of these are not chaotic neutral but it’s this weekend’s theme apparently so here were are.
  2. I had the weirdest fucking dream last night. I was accompanying Jay to a music festival and it was taking place on the beach where I grew up. There were a lot of people milling around and I started to notice that the tide had gone way out and usually in my dreams that means I’m about to get fucked by a tidal wave (a recurring dream theme in this old brain). But instead I look out and see the shadow shapes of these huge mountains that were never there before and they are covered in like Nazi insignias?? And then I notice there are these like Prometheus-movie-ancient-ones robot-looking motherfucking aryan aliens walking around and making sure everyone was white enough?? I told Jay “I’m….gonna find my way out of here” and one of the aliens started looking at me and asking why my hair was dark? And then got in an argument with another one because they had a couple of dudes who had curly hair there who were “cool” and they were trying to find the “acceptable” line? In the confusion I hightailed it to the exit which was in this like medieval cobble stoned alley and manned with a shrew-mouthed snaggle-toothed transparent old dude bouncer who was only letting “acceptable” people in or out. He started giving me the once over so I had to fight him to get out.  WHAT THE FUCK, BRAIN???
  3. There is this big cemetery that I pass a lot while driving to do inspections. I just recently noticed though that at the very end of it there is monument with a large Mary statue arms up and pointing like a V. There are also three smaller ones facing out/away making a diamond of Marys facing cardinal directions like they’re over here calling the fucking corners.
  4. It is so immensely relieving to bring up your dislike, distrust, and fear of cops to a new friend and instead of them defending the one good cop they know, they just whole-heartedly agree. Yay, new friends!

i think im in love with mariella (also SYW inspires me so much!! i wanna start my webcomic sometime!! is tumblr a good platform for it? pros and cons?)

dude me too

and oh man i’m really happy syw can inspire you! as far as whether or not tumblr is a good platform:

i like it because it’s easy to use. i use the simple webcomic theme, which isn’t difficult to set up, and it looks nice. posting and editing are easy, and it’s no problem to keep track of how many people are following the comic and how many people interact with the pages. in my opinion, it’s a good first webcomic hosting site!

however, i wouldn’t call it a permanent solution. for me personally, it’s not the most professional of sites, and i’m actually in the process of researching other webcomic hosting sites

but yeah, if you’d like to dip your toes into starting a webcomic, tumblr is a great place to experiment!

When The Bard Uses Polymorph

Context : We’re all level 8 in the middle of a battle between the party and a group of Fomorians and giants. I, playing a Wizard who’s a little too brave for his own good, cast fly on myself and close in on a Fomorian who tried to run away. Once at the end of my fly speed, I drank a potion of fire breathing.

DM : It is now Mestipen’s (Bard) turn.

Mestipen : I want to call out Leocanto (me) “Hey, Leo! Check this out.” And I want to start playing a rendition of the Jurassic Park theme on my Lute and cast Polymorph to change Leocanto into a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

DM : Does Leocanto resist?

Me : Never even crossed my mind.

DM : Okay. You are now a flying, fire breathing T Rex roaring in the face of a Fomorian who looks VERY afraid.

Me : *ooc* God I love D&D.

Let’s talk for a bit, because I’ve known about this for a while and I think now’s a good time to explain how I feel about using music not originally written for OC’s. This might be a lengthy read, because it’s personal. This vid was one of the first to use Tokyovania as Ink Sans’ theme.

I absolutely love when music can be associated with a character. I think it’s magical when a track makes you think of something you love or enjoy, and I love seeing messages or comments that I track I wrote would fit someone’s OC, because it feels special. Originally, this video was meant to be a tribute, with my track as the proposed theme, and I didn’t worry about it. After all, I didn’t write Tokyovania for Ink Sans, I wrote it for personal reasons, and I was sure most would understand that.

After a few months, it started to catch on for some reason that this indeed was written for him. A few other tribute vids were posted, and my name was nowhere to been seen as the artist of the track. On some videos, the name was also changed to Inklovania. The “Tokyo” was just erased, on a song containing the melody of “Tokyo Teddy Bear”, an incredibly special track I adored in 2014-2015.

Back then I was in high school. It was me against the world, and I had two friends. Things became rough around September in 2015, and I’ll keep the events hidden because they’re not something I need a reminder of. By December I was alone, and I had nowhere to turn but to music. I walled myself off and focused on composing, and being quietly alone all the time eventually led to the idea of Undertronic.

It was around this time that I decided to compose a remix of Tokyo Teddy Bear, as it’s a song I associate with wishing I could be anywhere else when things aren’t great. Seeing as I was also remixing Undertale at the time, I thought I’d combine it with another track, as a particular character was also in the same situation as I was, in terms of emotion.

In short, it was a special little remix to me and it would stay that way until Ink Sans became involved. Like I mentioned, I love when others use my music for OC’s, but I started to realize there was something wrong when I was accused of stealing this theme from Ink Sans, that it solely belonged to him, that I didn’t write it and I was a terrible person.

And the list goes on and was almost constant. To many, I’ve been disregarded as the artist of the track because “It doesn’t matter who wrote it,” and nothing hurts more to a musical artist than having a personal song be taken, even accidentally, from you and it suddenly becomes something else. The meaning behind the song no longer matters, and no matter what I do, this song will always be known as his theme.

It feels like a inconceivable back-stab knowing that literally millions believe this is his theme. I don’t even want to know how many would believe I stole the track from an OC, as if an actual artist doesn’t exist and the track magically created itself. Months went by, then a year went by, and I was very bitter about this track and the accusations I kept receiving. Finally I decided to write a response, and this response was “Tokyovania Control.”

I wrote in the description that I didn’t like the old Tokyovania. This is only partially true. I loved it for what it represented to me, I hated it for how I was being treated because of it.

If you may have noticed, I included new lyrics for Tokyovania Control. It was a slightly hidden, but direct message to how I felt, and it started at 0:53. Breakdown of the meaning is in the brackets.

How’d I get this feeling?  [How’d it come to this?]
I am running from this beauty,  [I am running from Tokyovania.]
Misunderstood or  [It’s been misunderstood what the track is about.]
Whom it’s made for?  [Who was the track made for? Even I’m not sure now.]
There’s no purpose,  [The song has lost its original meaning.]
Words are worthless.  [Explaining/arguing won’t do anything.]
Well, it’s still charming.  [I still adore the track though. It was special to me.]
I’d say “Sorry.”  [Sorry, it was my mistake to let harsh words harm me.]
“My mistake to let it harm me.”
“Pardon my writing.”  [Pardon my music, I’m sorry I got in your way, I should be thankful that this track is loved right? Indeed I am selfish for believing my name should be next to Tokyovania.]
Though it hurts, it still sounds special taken from me,
“Heh, oh well.”  [Though it hurts, Tokyovania still sounds special taken from me. There’s nothing I can do now, so oh well.]

It was hidden well, and I didn’t expect anyone to catch on. And I was right, no one figured out why these lyrics were added or what they meant.

So no, I still don’t mind when a track I write is used for an OC’s theme. I only mind when I become non-existent as the producer, because “Who cares who wrote it, just enjoy the music.” I also mind when I am repeatedly told my work doesn’t belong to me, and I’m a horrible person for stealing a theme that belongs to an OC.

It’s one of the reasons I tend to include signature melodies in my music now. I don’t want to be forgotten or disassociated with my work. I don’t want to be told I don’t deserve to be the artist. Is it annoying? To some it is, but it’s a hell of a lot better than going through another Tokyovania situation. Having a track recognized by millions as an OC’s theme scares me much more than having someone simply steal the track, and nothing is worse to a musician than being repeatedly told my work doesn’t belong to me anymore, it belongs to an OC, and I’m scum for thinking otherwise.

I suppose what I’m trying to say, is be careful when you decide to pick songs to represent OC’s or AU’s. You may think no harm will be done, but it’s impossible to tell if something will take off. I don’t think this has ever been discussed before. I haven’t seen any musicians write about this, or share their thoughts. But I am friends with many of the Undertale remixers, and it’s sad to see that this has also been happening to one of my best friends Kamex with his “Your Best Friend” remix:

His music is gorgeous. He’s so kind & doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. If the remix is titled “Undertale Remix”, that does not mean it is an AU Remix. It is a remix for Undertale. But because this theme was used in an AU theme compilation video, the track apparently belongs to Underfresh. Again, no artist apparently exists and track magically created itself. Even worse, he feels he needs to prove it, so far as to say he has the project files if he needs to show it. To some, he’s not even respected as the producer. If you understand how I feel with Tokyovania, you can imagine how he feels as well.

Even Inktale’s creator recognizes Tokyovania as a theme for Ink, though it’s probably accidental.

Which makes me feel even more guilty, because I hate bringing people down. And knowing this wasn’t written for the AU will probably be a disappointing let-down.

So that’s about it, I thought I might as well share my thoughts, now that it’s almost been a year since this has been going on.

On another note, I’ve been working on something for Dusttale and Outertale. The Dusttale track will probably be the next vid, I dunno.

[Edit: I took a look to see if there were any comments marked as held for review, and the first one I find is-]

[The word choice gets more colorful in there.]

Tell us about the parrots and the zipline? That sounds like the worst thing to happen ever.

Oh boy ok brace yourself cause this entire debacle was just a mess. Imma tell the story of this entire day cause it was just absolute bs

So I’m in Mexico with my family, yknow, having a nice vacation. My dad doesn’t do heat, so it was just my grandparents, my mom, and me. Keep in mind, I was like, 16 at the time, so this was a few years ago now.

So, i fully admit, I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Always have been, always will be. So when they said we could go to a massive park that was 90% underground, and the rest was like 300ft in the air, i jumped at the opprotunity.

so we get there and I immediatly beeline for the ziplines. Now, you can’t just do one of these suckers. Once you do one, there’s no going back until you’ve conquered all 12 (or something like that, there was a lot.) It took the better part of two exhausting hours to get through them all.

So before the parrot issue there was some other bs first. We brought my best friend with me that year, but because we were both too light, we had to go tandum for a lot of the lines, or else we wouldn’t make it across. We’d just get stuck in the middle of the line dangling like a pinata, and no body wants that.

so the first bs comes along. I’m singing the batman theme song to keep my friend calm, because she is not a fan of heights. Like, we are screaming NANANANANANANA BATMAAAAAN at the top of our lungs. And we look ahead and see this massive gap in the trees. Now, we’d gone over a couple cinotes already where we could see the people doing the under ground activities. We figued, hey, let’s laugh at the people doing the river swim that’ll make us feel better. SO we get up on it and my friend starts freak tf out. It wasn’t a cinote.

it was a snake pit.

A massive round, man made snake pit will with hundreds of writhing snakes. They were climbing the walls, even the trees that were like 3ft from our toes. So we’re freaking out like “I don’t wanna be indiana jones i’m too young!!” But we pass it with no problem. We keep going another few second or so, and we see another break in the trees. We’re bracing like cause we assume it was another snake pit. It wasn’t.

It was a crocodile pit.

cue freak out number two.

but we pass it and all is well. Then we come onto the landing strip. We were just starting out so this one was pretty low to the ground. And then i see a weird shape on the grass landing pad.

There was a crocodile on the lawn

we freaked OUT like you wouldn’t believe.

so we’re soaring at this thing and there’s no stopping. We’re waving at the guys who are supposed to catch us with a net like “yo guys u got a coc problem.” and they don’t seem bothered in the slightest. We pass over this thing and it doesn’t move, but i’m 99% sure i tried to kick it. Now we’re free we’re safe and we should be slowing down…why aren’t we slowing down.

we slam into the safety net full force and bounce back a couple feet. When we manage to unhook ourselves we find the two duded pissing themselves laughing.

it was a fake crocodile. i tried to kick a concrete lawn ornament.

onto the parrots.

for this next one my friend was freaking out, as we were over 300ft up. I wanted to go asap so i went attached to my mom instead. At this point, i am alrady 5′8″, and my mom is like 5′5″. so you have this massive beanpole of a child strapped to her tiny mother. So we take off and our combined weight has us absolutely flying down the line. It’s all idealyic and serene, and i’m enjoying my crocodile free cruise. I look down and through a break in the trees i spot the amphibian vehicles going in and out of the cave systems. All good. Right beside them is a pack of leopards sunning themselves on a rock, which is also directly below us. and im thinking “wow, this would a crappy time to fall” immediatly i hear

thunkthunkthunkthunkthunk

my legs hurt all of a sudden. I glance down and see blood dripping down my leg. Mom is screaming/laughing.

we hit a flock of parents mid flight

and they were pissed.

So im screaming and swatting at them, they’re screeching like little feathered demons and pecking t us, some were dangling off my shoe laces, shriekingly like hellions. I still have scars from those suckers. They eventually fly off starnig us down like “dont ever come to our terf again”

we finished the ziplines without incident after that.

but my day isnt over yet.

we have a wonderful lunch, i get my legs cleaned up, and we make the trek to the amphibian vehicles i saw earlier. We hop in and we’re going through the motions. Up and down, into caves and out. Super cool. Loved it.Then we come to where i saw the leopards.

all the cars in front of us pass without incident.

the second we roll up the leopards perk up and start running after us

cue freakout number 4654783

now, my grandpa is driving and i’m sitting there, with nothing but a mesh door between me and a pack of leopards

“grandpa go faster, we gotta goooo” and he just looks at me all calm like

“i know why they’re here.”

“THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOU KNOW WHY THEY’RE HERE GO FASTER”

He just calmly, oh so casually, pulls out a hot dog from lunch.I just kinda stare at him like GRANDPA

Obviously i do the smart thing

i grab that stupid hot dog at chuck at the nearest leopard

i hit it in the face

they all fall on each other trying to get a taste of that mustardy goodness and we take that moment to make our escape

and that was my” wth is going on in mexico extravaganza”

and that day didn’t even include the sting ray incident

‘Oh the bitten mouth, oh the kissed limbs,

THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS!! So I did a MysticMessenger themed promposal for my girlfriend, which took so much effort to prepare. I literally tried so hard to include the main story and all of the dlc’s.

I’m just gonna give you guys a run down of how my promposal went. It was based off of Seven’s Valentine’s Day special, where MC had to go to each member of the RFA to retrieve a gift from Seven. So, it started off with me texting her as Unknown to retrieve a phone her friend lost and told her where to go (original story). At the location I told her to go to she would find a chatroom and a certain type of flower depending on who was in the chatroom (Christmas dlc). Each chatroom had a different member in it and would tell her where to got next.

She had to got through 4 different chat rooms before she got to me. But it was worth it, she said yes💘

Here’s a REALLY INCREDIBLY HORRIBLY ROUGH comic (I’ll probs not finish this sorry) based on today’s piano video from @danisnotonfire

(today my animation prof told us that studios love seeing rough work bc it shows the thought process so I’ll use that as an excuse to not finish this hahaha)

Also bonus piano-themed unfinished piece:
