You know, it’s not so bad [living with and being one of the Ravagers]. I mean sure, I’ve committed more thefts than most people my age. Or really, most people in general. Then again, I don’t really know anyone my own age. My best friends are a 26-year-old weirdo [Kraglin] and a giant blue alien who constantly hits me. Still, better than my dad. At least they’re AROUND! Huh… where did that come from?
—  Young Peter Quill.
Yondu x reader

Summary: An imagine where the reader helps Yondu raise with Peter when he first arrives, which causes the reader and Yondu to have a discussion.

I watched as the young boy was beamed up to the ship.
“W-where am I? W-what’s going on?” The young boy asked, at this moment in time there was a circle of Ravagers surrounding him, and Yondu (my boyfriend) was at the centre of the circle standing infront of the young boy, as the young boy looked around at the group surrounding him..a bit of fear beginning to fill his eyes.
“Don’t worry kid,” Yondu started, noticing the fear beginning to form in the young boys eyes"I won’t let ‘em eat ya,“ he finished, chuckling as he gestured to the surrounding group who burst out in a roar of laughter. I just rolled my eyes as I pushed my way to the middle of the circle, and knealt beside the young boy.
"What’s your name?” I asked.
“P-Peter,” the young boy stuttered out.
“Okay then Peter, why don’t you come with me and I’ll explain what’s going on okay?” I said as I offered him my hand, hesitantlyhe grabbed it.
“Plus, it means we can get away from this ugly lot,"I whispered to him causing him to chuckle as we walked away from the group.

Time skip-about half an hour later
Peter was explaining to me what had happened to his mother, I felt so sorry for him; as I know what it’s like to lose your mother at such a young age.So, I told him a story that my grandmother told me when my mother died. It seemed to help calm him down.
Before I could even begin to explain to Peter what was going on her fallen asleep on me, which was no surprise given the day that he’d had…
"Y/N/N, where are ya?” Yondu called, walking down the ship.
“I’m in here, Yondu,"I whisper called (,loud enough for him to hear).
"Why the bloody hell are ya-” Yondu began to ask as e entered the room, but before he could finish his sentence I shushed him.
“Why the bloody hell are we whispering for?” He whispered walking towards me.
“He’s asleep,” I whispered as I motioned to Peter who was sleeping across my legs. I heard Yondu let out a small chuckle, before he sat down next to me.
“We can’t take him to Ego, Yondu,"I said looking at him.
"Y/N, baby,it’s just business,” Yondu replied.
“Yondu please, we can’t take him there, you know what will happen to him if we do,” I pleaded. Yondu let out a sigh as he looked down at Peter.
“I suppose he can become a Ravager, he’s small…he could get into the places we can’t” he explained, with a chuckle in his voice. I rolled my eyes but I couldn’t help but chuckle too.
“You’ll love him Yondu,” I said as I placed my head on his shoulder,he chuckled as he lightly kissed me on the top of my head. We stayed like that for a while, and then I began to think.
“Yondu?” I asked breaking the silence that we were sat in.
“Yeah?” He asked moving his position so he was now looking at me.
“Have you ever thought about having kids?” I asked, although Yondu and I had dated for a few years, kids were never something we’d discussed.
“Can’t say I 'ave,” Yondu answered, I tried to show that his answer didn’t bother me, but Yondu knew me all too well.
“That’s not to say I don't want any,” he whispered as he lightly put his finger under my chin causing me to look up at him, his eyes were soft as a smirk began to form on his face.
“Plus, the way to make a baby is pretty damn fun,” he winked at me before pulling me into a long and passionate kiss.
Let’s just say that when we got back to our room, we had a lot of fun .

You know how in The Princess Bride the Dread Pirate Roberts would always threaten Westley with “I’ll probably kill you in the morning”? Yondu literally did the same thing with Peter Quill, but threatening to eat him instead.
