tbh I honestly cannot imagine how anyone would begrudge the sequel trilogy their new special effects because I don’t even care what kind of sentimental value late 70s/early80s cinematography has for you

Bonnie Bennett for 6x21

From the synopsis for 6x21

ALARIC AND JO’S BIG DAY — It’s Alaric (Matt Davis) and Jo’s (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) wedding day and Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) do their best to help a stressed out Jo with the last minute preparations.

Finally, when Bonnie begins having vivid nightmares that Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) is coming after her, she enlists Matt’s (Zach Roerig) help in taking Lily down.

Sounds like in 6x19 Bonnie isn’t helping to bring back Lily’s family. And at the moment Lily doesn’t know she needs Bennett blood to do the spell. I’m guessing by 6x20 Lily finds out that she needs Bonnie to do the spell but Bonnie is going to let her know she isn’t helping because 1. why would she let a group of ripper hybrid vampires out and 2. Kai is there suffering with them. Lily will not take this well of course, so we’ll see some Bonnie VS Lily in 6x21, which leads me to believe Bonnie won’t be at the wedding then, I mean she's teaming up with Matt. So of course he’ll get captured by Lily and she’ll force Bonnie to help her.

Cue the cliffhanger for 6x22 Kai will show up with his new friends at the wedding and fuck everything up. Killing off the wedding guests and the coven, because I’m assuming Jo will invite them. And then in the finale Damon finds Bonnie and help take down the hybrids and Kai.

Secondo me hanno fatto bene.
