  • Makoto has a fear of airplanes in the manga.
  • The song that played during Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako’s transformations was “Todokanu Omoi: My Friend’s Love” (Thoughts that Cannot Be Delivered).
  • The in-flight movie was the one that the Three Lights filmed in episode 183.

FIRSTS

  • A completely new animation sequence for Star Serious Laser was first shown here. It would become the standard stock footage used for the remainder of the series.
  • Sailor Tin Nyanko physically appeared and spoke, but she was not identified by name. The ending credits listed her as “Nyanko,” though.

Plot: Sailor Iron Mouse’s next assignment brings her to a concert headlined by Michiru and the Three Lights.

TRIVIA

  • At the beginning of the episode, Usagi and the other four girls use calling cards. Their card colors reference their respective Sailor Senshi identities: blue (Mercury), red (Mars), orange (Venus), pink (Moon), and green (Jupiter).
  • The date of the concert, as written on the tickets, was June 6, 1996. This episode aired in July of the same year.
  • This episode was loosely based on events from the first chapter of the Stars arc in the manga.

  • The stock footage for Star Serious Laser was updated to include Sailor Star Fighter’s Sailor Star Yell.
