“We as women do a lot of incredible things in this world other than just procreate, and not that that is not. But it’s like, we just get boxed in, they love the narrative, they love the story, they love the ‘she is jealous’ and 'this person’s depressed’ and 'oh my gosh never gonna have a child’ whatever the horrible little headline is, we just gotta break out of that.” (x)

"Raising and Releasing Personal Power" By Ellen Dugan

Stand up with your feet a little ways apart. You should stand in a position that feels comfortable to you, but do not close the energy off by crossing your arms or legs. Leave your arms at rest by your sides. Now imagine your personal power or picture your aura, if you prefer growing bright around you. Close your eyes, if it will help. Imagine a little glimmer of bright golden energy running along your skin, only an inch or two high at first. When you can picture this shimmer of light, move on.

Okay, now I want you to make that energy expand and grow larger. Imagine that it surges and grows out into a full, shining halo of bright light around your whole body. (As you imagine this, you may feel a tingle) Hold that expanded energy in place for a moment.

Visualize what you want to do with this energy.

Now i want you to deliberately release the halo of light. Push it out with a smile, gently and firmly away from you. Imagine that the halo of light is swirling away from you. Your personal energy now spins happily out on a breeze and off into the world to go and do its assigned job. Thank the element of air for its assistance. A simple “Thank you element of air” will do nicely.

Take a deep breath, and hold it for a second or two. Now slowly release your breath and crouch down and place your hands on the ground or the floor. Imagine you are drawing a calming, stabilizing, and strengthening energy from the Earth. (This calming technique is called “grounding and centering.”) Stay there for a moment or two. When you feel that you are finished, stand up, brush off your hands, and congratulate yourself at raising and then releasing positive magickal energy for the first time.

The raising and releasing of energy is a pivotal part of spellwork and magick. All magick requires a strong, positive intention and concentrated focus on the desired outcome. When you combine that focus with the natural rhythms of nature and the ability to direct your personal power toward a specific goal, you will create magick.

I suggest not using this for any sort of negative purpose.

If you have any questions or concerns you can message me or send me an ask.

A Hero

“She died a hero?!” Will Solace screams, throwing his medical supplies across the room. “What good is that supposed to do her?!”

“Will, please, calm down.” Nico di Angelo pleas softly, stepping towards him. He remembered just a few minutes ago when he woke up, the camp was buzzing. Everyone was talking about how a little girl came back from a quest, mostly dead, her partners barely able to stand up themselves.

Lou Ellen told Nico that Will was on duty that night, cleaning up the infirmary when they stumbled in. Will did everything in his power to save her, but it wasn’t enough. Will had cracked, she told him. But as Nico looked at Will, he saw that he was shattered, not cracked.

“Whats the point? Why do we have to be the heroes? We save the world, but who’s supposed to save us?!” Will looks at Nico, pleading for an answer. “Who saves us?”

Nico steps closer towards him, wrapping him in a hug. Will diffuses, nestling his head in Nico’s shoulder. “We save each other,” Nico promises when he feels cool tears hit his neck. “We’re enough.”

“She died a hero?” Annabeth mutters, leaning her head on Percy’s shoulder. She watched the burial shroud turn to smoke and ash. “Look how worthless that is to her now.”

Percy weaves his fingers with hers. Annabeth breaks the silence once again. “She was only ten, Percy. This was her first quest, you saw how excited she was. She wanted to be a hero, and now she’s dead.”

Percy holds Annabeth as her bottom lip starts trembling. He doesn’t talk, what was he supposed to say. “Whats the point? Why do we try so hard to be heroes when one day we’ll end up like that?” Annabeth asks as a tear rolls down her face.

“She died a hero.” Chiron assures himself quietly. He shuts the photo album, each with a picture of a fallen camper, smiling and happy. A snapshot to remember when they were the most alive, inside and out.

The newest picture, a ten year old camper with armor two sizes too big, smiling at the camera with glee. She was missing a tooth, but that didn’t stop her from giving the biggest smile Chiron had ever seen.

“At the end of the day, that has to be enough.”

“You’ll be on in ten.” A guy with a headset said quickly before poking his head back out the door.

My manager looked at me and smiled getting up from his seat. “You ready?” He asked.

I looked in the dressing mirror and look over myself sitting in the chair. My hair was in fluffy curls, makeup simple for daytime television. I had a nice blue tartan top on with a matte black skirt. I felt really good and was excited.

“Yeah. I’m good. Excited actually.” I smiled back grabbing my phone from my lap.

My manager went through tips for the interview. We had not given any specific limitations on questions as we didn’t have scandals or secrets the public was aware of. But regardless he went over them.

“It will probably be similar to last time. Maybe a little more different. You’ve gained a lot more popularity since the last time on the show. You know how she likes to blindside you with questions you’d have to be careful answering.”

I nodded but felt prepared. I scrolled through my phone waiting for them to call me to stage.

The guy with the headset turned up a few minutes later. “Alright, they are ready for you. If you’ll follow me.”

We got up from our seats and exited my dressing room. The guy in the headset began prepping me. “So you’ll wait at the steps and head down after Ellen introduces you. You’ll have the first part of the interview for about 5 minutes. She will cut to break. The second part of the interview will be a game, I believe you agreed to ‘Who’d You Rather?’ correct?”

Request: Can I get a namjoon scenario where you’re an American music artist on a show kind of like jimmy fallon, and the host asks you who your celebrity crush is and you say it’s namjoon. The people are like “who dat” and then the reader explains (maybe gets asked to dance to a song and they do so?). Then somehow the boys see it and show it to nams ^~^ sorry if this was too much

Word count: 2.2k

A/N: I had a great help from @sunwasrising when adding the last bit, hope it’s okay! I didn’t know if you wanted a fake text, or a short story. So, I did this lol, and if you had a stage name? I have NOT edited or corrected the story, because I am a little busy and I’m hoping, there aren’t too many errors.

Y/S/N = Your stage name

Rock-records = Music company (I maybe, have watched big time rush)

“Welcome to Y/S/N!!” A female confidential voice, were searching your name. As the big blue boarders revealed your dressed-up frame, giving the audience your latest song. The crowd cheering and clapping at your entrance, as the speakers boomed with your angelic voice. After a few minutes of performing, a short-haired blonde approached you with open arms as her smile were pulling your lip muscles.

“Welcome to the Ellen show! Thank you for coming!” She spoke, guiding you to the white chair. Her contagious smile, made your cheeks hurt.

“Thank you for inviting me! I was so thrilled getting an invitation” You responded with a light giggle, as you both got seated in each of the chairs.

“I’m glad you could come, I wasn’t sure if it was possible with your stuffed schedule. Your latest song has been reaching the charts the past weeks, how does it feel?” Ellen questioned, as the crowd clapped at her. You couldn’t help but feel shy, after finally getting a song to reach the world charts.

“It is a bit busy nowadays, but I’m happy. I’m glad people love my song and it brings me so much energy!” You spoke happily at the woman, who you had a small wish to meet as a teenager.

“You started as a person who did youtube, making covers of famous songs. After working on your vocals, Rock records reached out to you, how did you react?” She explained, for the people who maybe didn’t know your background.

“I was excited and I almost couldn’t believe it myself. Even though I was nervous, they didn’t seem to take ‘no’ for an answer. They have helped me a lot, to produce and develop my talent.” You answered with a smile, making the crowd cheer. The audience didn’t fail to react, either to your answer or appearance, but the loud clapping made your legs shake of excitement.

“It was already last year in 2016, January that they announced a new singer to America. Did they choose your stage name?” She asked, leaning at the arm chair.

“It has been going so fast, and I couldn’t believe it when my song hit the charts. My manager and me, decided on my stage name. Unique, but easy for people to remember” You answered again, making her nod along.

“Then your fanbase must have been sky rocking on social media and across the world?” She questioned curiously, making you think of your twitter’s following count blow up.

“They did, but back then when I started in my career. I still had supporters, encouraging me through the media. My first fans, has been incredible.” You spoke firmly, having the people around to clap.

“They must be proud of your achievement. Here on the Ellen show, we have a segment of answering some twitter questions. My crew has been plucking out a few, and hopefully you could answer them?” Ellen requested, making you smile widely with a silent ‘yeah!’. The screen behind you, lit up with a twitter question as Ellen read them out loud.

“What is your goal, now that you have gotten a song to hit the world charts?”

“My goal will always be, to hit the charts. But right now, I’m hoping to do a US Tour, or world Tour.” You answered, hearing the crowd cheer of the idea.

“Will you change your appearance or your behaviour after getting more recognition?”

“I don’t think so. My appearance will always be up for a change, for the better. My behaviour and goals, will always stay the same. I’m confidence, that I do not need to be ‘faking’ for my fans, to get more. The ones who has always been with me, knows what I stand for. If I lose fans, for the way I am now, then that’s too bad. I strive to be true, for everyone.” You spoke loudly making the audience stand up to clap. Ellen had a wide smile, as you saw her eyes glister of joy. Being true to your fans, has always been a priority. Seeing famous people change for the voice, always broke your heart. Betraying your fans, would be the last thing you wanted.

“Alright, the last question is a bit juicy. WHO is your celebrity crush?” She cooed, making the crowd gasp curiously. As you felt your cheeks heat rise, of the person you had in mind. Your finger fiddling nervously, as you answered.

“Rapmonster…” You almost whispered, making Ellen tilt her head. The crowd went silent, making it obvious people were confused who this ‘Rapmonster’ is.

“Rapmonster? I don’t think I’m familiar with that person…” She wondered, making you feel like a school girl, as you overcame your shyness. This show was a famous program, and the thought of that Kim Namjoon would be seeing this, was a dream.

“Rapmonster, is his stage name but his real name is Kim Namjoon. He is a rapper, composer and leader in the group Bangtan boys, but BTS for short. They reached the US charts not too long ago, with ‘Blood sweat and Tears” You explained, hearing a few gasps here and there. Apparently, not a lot of people knew. But Ellen’s confused facial expressions, disappeared as she clapped her hands once.

“Oh of course!! I heard their song and saw their MV. Their choreography seems intense, have you thought about collaborating with them?” She questioned curiously, as her smiled came back.

“I wish, their songs are amazing. I always wanted to collaborate with them, because their voices are so unique and their choreography is inspirational of me, wanting to dance.” You laughed, as Ellen waved her hand at the crew.

“Is there a choreography you can dance of theirs?” She asked, making you smile at her. While the crowd cheered, for you to show it.

“I know the key point of the dance ‘Blood, sweat and tears’ but not all of it” You shyly spoke, making Ellen put on the song. Her hands flatly pointed to the clean floor, making you stand up to step out. The song’s rhythm taking your limbs and showed the crowd how Jimin’s iconic move. Everyone was fixated at your movements, while not a single fail was made.

After finishing off the dance, with a light bow. Ellen thanked you again, for joining her show. A ‘follow’ on Twitter, and the crowd clapping at your exit. One of your teenage dreams has been fulfilled and nothing else could overcome that.

“Hyung! Look, Y/S/N is mentioning you on the Ellen show!” Jungkook spoke, as he handed his phone to Namjoon. Putting away his pen, and scrambled paper he took the phone to see a Youtube video. A on-the-rise star that he had been mentioning to the boys, was now talking about him. Your angelic voice, that would make his knees weak and even, give inspiration to write more songs. Your wish of collaborating for a song, made Namjoon wonder. After finishing your video, he was calling his manager. A serious talk, about the US tour and ideas were on display. The boys were curious, what the leader had in mind.

Reading the tweet over and over again, you jumped upon your couch. After a few days of being on the Ellen show, you had no idea this would ever happen. Namjoon, had tweeted to you. With your shaking hands, you called your manager to bring the news. Barely getting a correct word out, your manager liked the idea and set the deal in motion. Only an hour later, he called back to make sure, that Rapmonster was ready in three hours to talk about the song. The joy of your scream, almost made your manager’s ear deaf. The excitement and opportunity to meet your celebrity crush, was too surreal.

“What am I going to wear?!” You screamed, after hanging up on the phone. You had two hours, of getting ready and find the perfect clothes. After trying on thousands of different clothes, you went the casual way. A white blouse, with black jeans and converse. The two hours flew away, as your phone started ringing again. The manager was just outside your apartment, waiting for you two get down.

The ride towards the studio, made your heart beat faster and a hint of dizziness filled your body. You were still overwhelmed of the news and in just a few minutes, you would be sitting near Kim Namjoon, talking about a song. Your hands were sweaty, as you saw the building come to view. Breathing in and out, you hoped it wasn’t noticeable of your nervousness.

Stepping into the office room, you were met with a male. He wasn’t Namjoon, but he approached you with a smile and handshake. After talking for a bit, his English wasn’t the best. The man explained how long they had in the US and what they had in mind, doing the collaboration. The managers went together, fixing the papers while you walked further inside.

Met by another familiar man, who was seated at the table. His eyes fixated on his phone, as he tapped away. Namjoon, was right there in front of you. Your breath taking away, seeing his fashion clothes shine. His plump lips, that you thought was so full it was unbelievable. He didn’t seem to have noticed you, but you didn’t mind, as you tried to calm your nerves. His leg was shaking, making his foot tap along the floor.

“Maybe he is nervous too?” You wondered, feeling your heart fall to a normal beat. Coughing lightly, his face revealed itself from his phone. A familiar loving smile and stood up from the chair, approaching you with a hand.

“You must be Y/N, I have heard a lot about you” He spoke with his deep voice. His soft hand and slender fingers, made your body shiver. A clear vocabulary, making it unable for you to misunderstand. You nodded along, as you tried to calm down your nerves. Your heated cheeks were burning, as he walked back to his chair, having you to follow along on the other side.

“I was surprised to hear, that you wanted to collaborate” He spoke gently, making you smile of his words.

“I’m more surprised, that you actually contacted me…” You responded with a light smile. The two of you started talking about different genres, that would fit for your voice and his. Where you were going to post the song and what would work best, to get more publicity. His energy and imagination, was beyond the world. Inspirational, to just be around him. After talking to him for a while, you became less nervous and more comfortable. He was as you had imagined, gentle, hardworking and flawless. Even though, you had been talking for more than two hours. Your energy level, started to run low.

“What time is?” He questioned, looking with his brown orbs at you. You wiggled your phone out, to see the clocked displayed.

“It’s about noon, why?” You responded, putting your phone away again. His fingers tabbing on the table, as he bit onto his bottom lip.

“The managers aren’t going to be back for a while…” He trailed off, making you raise an eyebrow at him. A light smile plastered on his face, as he hummed for a response came out of him.

“What do you think about Lunch? Got to get more energy and I saw a restaurant not too far away and I would like to get to know you more…” He requested, rubbing the back of his neck. Unsure, what you would think about him. Maybe, he thought it was all about work, but he was flattered seeing your cheeks turn red.

“S-Sure! I would like something to eat” You chuckled a response, making him exhale softly. Walking together, you chose a restaurant, where privacy was a big hit. Sitting across from him, you never knew how lucky you were. You just hoped, this wouldn’t be the last time you heard from him.

“By the way, should we exchange phone numbers? I’m not certain that we will finish the song today, so it would be nice to have a hold on you for the upcoming days” He requested shyly, as you nodded. Your eyes felt like crying, feeling the joy in your stomach.

After exchanging numbers, you felt like a princess around him. Hearing of his goals and telling your own, coming to a close that you weren’t so different from each other. Even though, his voice made your mind go blank. His face dragged you back from heaven, feeling blessed of his existence. The managers found you at the restaurant, telling about their plans for the collaboration. Namjoon had to attend another schedule, but they would make sure to follow up on the song. There was an urge to hug him, but you knew it was too soon. Maybe he thought, you were crazy if you did. So, a handshake, took place instead. Going separate ways, you went back to the studio with your manager. After getting scolded for leaving, you felt bad about it, until you saw message light on your phone screen.

Already now, you were excited to meet him again.

“You’ll be on in ten.” A guy with a headset said quickly before poking his head back out the door.

My manager looked at me and smiled getting up from his seat. “You ready?” He asked.

I agreed. As we began to enter behind the set, I could hear Ellen talking to her other guest, who I believe was Tom Holland. The guy prepping me began to speak quieter.

“After the game, she will cut to commercial and then reintroduce you for the third segment of the interview that will take about three minutes.”

We reached behind the set and I could hear clapping as Ellen spoke saying they would be right back and be talking with me. I began to suddenly get nervous. This always happened.

“Alright.” He spoke once the clapping was done. “Wait here. I’ll be back to give you the signal to walk out.” As I stood waiting at the top of the curved stairs behind the set I began to feel nervous. I knew I shouldn’t but I could help it, my heart was beating strong in my chest as I tried to control my breathing.

I could hear the crew moving around the set. Then I heard people walking behind me. I turned to look and saw Tom walking back towards the dressing rooms. He saw me and smiled.  I waved. He smiled and cut away from his team, and introduced himself. He quickly chatted with me which help me forget the nervousness surrounding my body. After making quick small talk he wished me luck and joined back to his team.

Now that my distraction was gone I felt the nerves all again. Why couldn’t I had been as calm as I was in the dressing room?

I noticed the guy in the headset come and stand by me. My heart started pounding and felt like I was about to start a race. He made eye contact indicating I would be on soon, he then held up his hand to me wanting me to stay. The set got quite and then Ellen began to speak introducing my limited list of accomplishments and my latest movie.

His fingers began to count down to one. I took a deep breath bouncing on my toes. “Go.” He said dropping his hand.

I began my walk down as I heard Ellen say my name. Moments later ‘Rockin’’ by the Weeknd began to boom over the set and I could hear cheers from the crowd. I grinned liking the song choice for my entrance. Turning the corner I made my way down. Looking up I smiled seeing the crowd emerged while trying to not fall down in my heels.

Once reaching the last step I looked up and saw the crowd. Catching onto the beat, I smiled again to the crowd  and waved, right before I began to shimmy my shoulders. Making it look as if I was enjoying the pressure of all eyes on me.

I walked across the floor and took the steps up to the set. Ellen was standing up from her chair. Going with my nerves I slowed down after the last step up and dance my way over to her. She laughed at me. Once close enough I normalised myself and greeted her and gave her a quick hug.

“Great moves.” She chuckled into my ear. We disconnected and she motioned for me to sit down. I followed her instructions and crossed my ankles. The music and clapping slowly dissipated.

I looked to Ellen and she was smiling back.

“Wow. That’s some great moves you have going.”

I began to laugh, probably from the nerves. “Oh good, because I did not practice that at all.”  I said dragging the last word. The audience laughed seeming to like my joke.

Ellen looked to audience and back to me before she leant back in her chair sitting more comfortably, raising her hand to me. “Well thank you for being on the show again. It’s been a while, a lot has happened since I last saw you.”

I pulled at my skirt. “Yes, it has. Been crazy since I was last here. Thank you so much for having me again, by the way. I honestly love coming here. I wish I could be here all the time.”

“Oh. Really?” Ellen smiled. “You looking for a job?” I think we have some openings? Have any special talents?”

I leant back in the chair. “Oh yeah. Apparently, I’m a really great dancer.” I said pointing my thumb back to the entrance I came from.

The audience laughed, and Ellen flashed them an impressed look. They seemed to like my humour. Which I was a relief because I had no idea where it was coming from.

Ellen then turned back to me and reached out touching the arm of my chair warmly. “No speaking of dancing. You’ve had to do a lot of that for your next moving coming out. The remake of ‘Dancin’ in the Rain’ which you star as Kathy Selden! Which is incredible by the way!” The audience clapped and I nodded to them in thanks.

“Oh thank you.” I spoke to Ellen. I pushed back my hair behind my ears nervous. “Yes, It’s been absolutely insane. I wasn’t really prepared for everything that was required to take on Kathy. The dance numbers were so intense on their own, and then to add I needed to sing on top of it was a lot of work. But I absolutely love the original picture growing up, so obviously I just had to do it.” I finished smiling to the crowd.

Ellen watch me intently, her blue eyes so bright in the lighting and the nerves from before began to fade away. “Yes.” She began again. “And my god. You have such an incredible voice!”

The audience quickly cheered and I blushed shyly.

“Like I did not know the last time you were here that you also sang. You’re absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the trailer that just came out.”

I smiled trying to hold back how pleased I was to hear Ellen complimenting me. “Aw. Thank you, that’s so nice.” I paused shifting a little and resting my hand on my armrest. “Yeah. I don’t know the whole singing thing was just something that came up. I didn’t really come into this thinking I’d ever really get to use it because honestly, I didn’t think I was that good of a singer.” I shyly looked to the audience. “ But the opportunity came up and I was like ‘Well why not?’ I shrugged my shoulders.

“Well, I think we can all agree your singing is beautiful.“ She looked to the audience for their approval which they gave in cheers. She then looked back to me “I think that’s amazing you’ve been able to expand so much this past year it’s probably been crazy for you!”

“Yeah, it has. It’s been so much. I’ve just been taking it in and just trying to sometimes step back and humble myself because it’s been so amazing. Sometimes it becomes a lot and you forget all the amazing accomplishments and people you got to meet and work with, so I just try and remind myself of what I’ve made for myself.”

“Yeah, speaking of co-workers,” Ellen said coyly. A picture of  myself, Taron Egerton and Eddie Redmayne came up on the screen behind the set. It was a picture of us on the ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ set as we were shooting the iconic scene for the movie. A couple of whistles came from the audience.

I smiled looking up, an ‘aw’ escaped my lips. “Look at us.” Looking back to Ellen I answered her. “Yeah. I mean it was clearly a hard time working with those two.” I peeked back up to the picture before it disappeared.

Gentle laughter came from the audience, and I continued. “No, but really, they were amazing to work with. They really became my good friends. I was so lucky to no only get to play in this movie but to get them alongside me. They helped me so much. This is my first ‘big’ movie.” I said raising my fingers around the word big in quotations. “So having them alongside me makes everything just so much easier.”

Ellen shuffled forward in her chair. “Yeah, it must have been pretty easy to kiss Taron, huh?” A grin appeared on her face. As the picture from set of me and Taron kissing for the movie came up on the monitor. The stand gave a few whistles  “So the real question is have you been kissing off the set?”

I began to laugh, trying to play this off cool. “Oh, Ellen you’re bad.”

“Yeah, I know.” She paused creating tension, and looking to the audience casually. “But are you?”

I laughed again. “No. I’ve been good. No kissing any boys for me. Especially my co-workers.”

“Oh no kissing any boys? I’m going to take that as you’re still single?”

I began to laugh deeply trying to speak. “Very, very single.”

She reached out touching my knee with a smile. “Well, I’ll set you up. Anyone in mind?”

“Actually, no.” I laughed to the crowd. “ But you know what Ellen. I fully trust your taste in men. So I’ll leave that up to you.” I gave with a wink. The audience laughed at my banter and underlying joke.  Ellen smiled at me and patted my knee again, before turning to the camera. “Alright, well we are going have a quick break, so I can find her next boyfriend.” Ellen went on to say we would be right back to play a game with me and the On-Air light went out at the back of the room.

Both Ellen and I turned away from smiling to the camera.

“Oh, I’m so glad you’re here again. I just love having you on.” She spoke to me her hand reaching for mine. I thanked her. She went on to talk about the movie asking me about it as the crew prepared for the next portion of the show. Ellen genuinely was so kind to me I answered all her questions and I told her how nervous I had been, but told her that she was my favourite show to be on. She seemed to be genuinely flattered.

Within no time the crew was directing that we would be back on air soon. We all took our positions and a blonde woman behind the camera began to count down with her fingers. The On-Air light flashed on and Ellen began speaking to the camera introducing myself again followed by the game we were playing. She asked if I knew how to play which I did.

“Alright. Well since I couldn’t find you a boyfriend during the break let’s just find you one this way.” Ellen looked at the camera and mouthed the word “picky”. I scoffed at her joke towards me, but it was very obvious she was joking to the audience.

“Alright.” She began. “Let’s see who we have.”

I looked up to the screen behind us and two men came up. Ooh’s came from the audience.

“Theo James or Zac?” Ellen informed me.

I smiled. “Oh man. I’m going to have to go with Theo.”

The next one came up and it was Niall Horan. The audience cheered a little louder.

“Ellen.” I leant back in my chair I covered my mouth as I laughed hard. “We found him.”

Ellen turned to me smiling. “Oh, you’re a Niall girl?”

“HUGE. Niall girl.” I giggled.

She turned her head and raised her brow to me. “Well, you know who looks like Niall?” She waited a moment before pointing to her chest and mouthing the word ‘Me’.

I began to chuckle. “Yes. You know I think I’ve heard that before.”

She smiled back to me, as the next male came up. There were more ooh and whistles as I looked up.

It was Shawn Mendes, shirtless no less.

My heart dropped. “Shit.” I said out loud. I began to cover my face. There was more laughter. “Ellen!” I yelled again. “You just created my worst nightmare!” I removed my hands from my face. “Why would you do this to me?”

She chuckled and turned her head to me. “No one ever said love comes easy.”

I looked up to the display behind us. “Nooo. This is actually so hard. I don’t think you understand.”

I went on to tell Ellen how much of a fan I was of Niall and One Direction. Telling them of the things I did back when I was a young fan. She and the audience found this really amusing.

“But oh my god this tears me apart. Because Shawn is… well. I mean…” I said looking to the audience referencing the picture. “He also seems so sweet. I’ve never had the chance to meet him but honestly he seems so genuine, and talented oh my god. I’ve listened to his newest album so many time. I waited at home that night for the release.” I looked to the audience and back to Ellen. “I truly don’t think you understand what you’re doing to me right now. This is so hard.”

“So which one?”

I looked up completely torn. Just trying to pick. I took a deep breath looking between the two. But nothing was coming out. I just couldn’t decide. I opened my mouth again and a muffled noise came out but no answer. The audience laughed again at my struggle. I fell back into my chair shaking my head.

“Can’t I have both?” I chuckled.

“I don’t know you’ll have to ask them?” Ellen smiled mischievously. She liked seeing me distraught. There was a pause waiting for me to answer. I sat up again and looked at the pictures and thought more.

“Okay okay. Well, Niall, I’ve loved since I was fifteen. So I mean I’ve been wanting this for a long, long time. Not to mention he’s Irish.” Someone cheered from the audience. I smiled at them before looking back.  “But Shawn.” I trailed off. “Oh, Shawn. He’s just so cute. And I mean he just seems like the sweetest most genuine guy ever, and he’s Canadian too.” I said struggling. A few more cheers came from the audience.

“Oh god. Okay.” I paused one more time, the audience found something funny from my displeasure before I shyly looked to Ellen. “I’m going to have to go with… Shawn.” I perked up in my chair. The audience cheered as Ellen made a joke.

“You know you’d think we’re trying to find you your next husband or something with the amount of thought you put into that.”

We all laughed as the next pictures came on. Before really checking I answered Shawn again. The next picture came up and I answered Shawn again with no thought. Everyone including Ellen laughed. Numerous attractive men kept coming up onto the screen but Shawn never disappeared. I answered his name repeatedly at rapid speed.  The audience found how dedicated I was to Shawn hilarious.

After the last one, there was a ding and Shawn was left on the screen.

Ellen turned to the audience and pointed to me. “I told you she was picky.”

I smiled to her giving a soundless laugh as the audience laughed and cheered. After the laughs subsided Ellen turned back to me. “Well I’ve got Shawns number, he’s been on the show a few times. So I think we should send him a painted portrait of yourself along with your marriage proposal.” She tapped her hand into her chair.

“I think that’s a great idea, You’d know I was cool with just a boyfriend. But I managed to get Shawn Mendes as my husband so I’d say I’m pretty satisfied with your service Ellen.”

Ellen let out a laugh before turning to the camera. She transitioned into an exit to a commercial. During the quick break, she quickly chatted with me some more about work and if I was going to award shows. That was the great thing about her. She genuinely liked to find more about you. Not needing as much time to transition to the next section. We began shooting right away.

The rest of the final segment was mainly about things in my personal life. She asked me about back home which I told her about. This led into a project that I was working on. I told her and the audience what I was doing by partnering with the City of Vancouver to help create funds and new solutions to lessen the severity of homelessness in the downtown region. Ellen and the audience genuinely appreciated the work I was doing, giving me big applause throughout. The final segment finished much faster and Ellen finished by thanking me for the work I was doing to help others. She thanked me one last time before exiting the segment the audience cheered for me and I waved back to them in a goodbye.

The On-Air sign went dim and people began to swarm around the set. Ellen and I both stood up, she gave me one last hug thanking me again for coming to the show, and said she would see me at an award show soon. I thanked her again before I was whisked away by her teams to off stage.

Nothing came from the show other than more interest and popularity for myself within the days after. After the show aired I did notice however the public took a great liking towards the idea of Shawn and myself. My managers overjoyed at one point because we were trending online for a while.  He kept going on about how great it was to gain the attention right before we began promotion for the movie. While I understood the benefits the hype had created I couldn’t help but wonder if Shawn had seen the show and maybe knew who I possibly was now. I only hoped he did.

It was another normal evening at the Roadhouse. Jo was cooking for the few regulars, and you were on the bar. Ellen had hired you because you hadn’t presented yet. It appeared you would be a Beta to Jo’s Omega, so that when she was in heat, you could look after the Roadhouse. The regulars made idle chit chat with you, asking about how you had settled into the town, a few of the more regular hunters asked for information you could slip to them so they wouldn’t have to pay Ash.

“Sorry boys, you know the rules.” You chuckled as one man sighed.

“Come on Y/N, we know that genius tells you practically everything! Can’t you tell us just one small thing?” One of the older hunters smiled his usual half smile as you shook your head, a light laugh falling from your lips before you leaned into him, his interest now piqued.

I was walking to the barn, looking for my boyfriend to spend one last night with him before I left for college. I opened the door to see my cousin Jo and him in a heated kiss. I sobbed out, having them snap their heads my direction. I turned and ran into the house, I had never felt so heartbroken, not since Uncle Bobby had come to school one day to tell my parents had died in a car crash.

I walked into the house and collapsed on the floor sobbing uncontrollably. Ellen rushed over and held me as told what I had seen. She helped me off the floor and led me to my room and just held me as I cried my heart out.

I could hear arguing down stairs but I didn’t care, I knew Bobby was mad, but he let them have it. “Why would he do that? I thought he loved me” “I don’t know honey, but I’m so sorry” “I think I’m going to leave tonight, I can’t face them again” “I understand honey”

Once I knew they were gone, I went downstairs and hugged Bobby then Ellen. I promised to keep in touch and left my home with a shattered heart.

It’s been eight years since that night and it still hurt, at first, they were blowing up my phone with calls and text messages but I never answered. I went to college and worked my ass off, getting straight A’s and graduating with honors. Of course, the day of graduation they showed up, Sam and his girlfriend, had come with Bobby and Ellen. He always told me how proud of me he was. He also kept telling me that I needed to talk to them.

After college, I didn’t go back home, I traveled the world seeing everything there was to see. I decided to go back home after that, I missed my family and I missed my friends. I wasn’t sure if anyone would recognize me though, I had filled out in that last eight years, I had more curves and more weight, I loved my body.

I pulled up the driveway, and saw nothing had really changed. I got out of the truck and walked up to the door and knocked. I was beyond nervous, but when I saw Ellen opening the door, I started crying for simple fact of how much I missed her and Bobby. “Oh honey you look so good, we missed you so much.” “I missed you more”

“Come on, let’s go surprise Bobby” I nodded my head as she grabbed a pitcher of iced tea and some glasses to take out to the guys. As we walked out she told what had happened after I had left. “Jo was really torn up about it, and Dean, they stayed away from each other. There were a lot of nights he cried in arms over doing that to you, Jo left six months after that night. She went to Los Angeles to be a singer. She always had a beautiful voice” “It still hurts so much, Dean was the love of my life. I haven’t been with anyone since”

“That boy wrote a letter to you every day, I think you should read them” “Ok” She smiled at me as we walked into the barn. Bobby was underneath the tractor, Sam and Dean were trying to fix the engine. “Brought you boys some iced tea and a surprise” They all looked up to see me standing next to Ellen, Sam rushed over first giving me a bear hug. “I missed you, y/n/n” “I missed you too moose”

Dean hadn’t moved from his spot but Bobby held on to me the longest. “I missed you so much” “Me too Uncle Bobby” “You made it in time for the annual spring extravaganza, but you knew that didn’t you” I smiled at his insinuation and shook my head, but he knew the truth.

After a welcome home meal, I decided to go for a ride. I grabbed one of the paints named misty, I got her saddle and other gear put on. I then got on, deciding to go to my happy place. The sun was just setting when I had come to the place. The closer I had gotten I noticed a few blankets with a cooler, I was the only one who knew about this place, so who was here?

I got off misty and slowly walked over to see who would be here, I then saw Dean come out of the trees with a single white rose in his hand. This can’t be happening, I never even told him about this place. The only person who knew was Jo. “Y/N honey please say something?” “Like what? You broke my heart, the one you promised you would never break” “I know I broke your heart, until the day I die I won’t stop apologizing for what I did. Let me make it up to you every day of our lives”

I still loved him, I never stopped, but was he telling the truth? Ellen told me he was angry at himself for that whole time. “You have a lot of ass kissing to do Winchester” “That’s been my plan darlin’” We finally reached each other, he reached wrapping his arms around me and pulling me to him. “God, I love you” he whispered as his lips hovered over mine. “I missed you so much” as my voice cracked at the end.

Then he kissed me, not a chaste little kiss, but a slow burning start your skin on fire type of kiss. He led me over to the blankets, he got down first and held a hand up to help me down. I took off my boots and socks, enjoying the warm spring night. I laid down flat on my back looking up into the clear night sky, stars twinkling and the moon full. I looked over to see Dean on his side just watching me with love and desire in his eyes.

I pulled him down to me, kissing him again, missing the taste and feel of his lips on mine. I was always told that make-up sex was the best, I guess tonight I will find out. He fit his hips in between mine making up for lost time. He turned the radio on, classic rock filling our ears as we kissed and chuckled at each other. We slowly undressed each other, relearning each other and rediscovering the spots that made us weak.

We were down to nothing but skin on skin, he slowly pushed in as I felt the stretch that I always felt when I was with him. Once he bottomed out, we stayed that way for what felt like eternity. When he started moving it felt like heaven, I was cloud nine. We took our time, the whole night, just him and I.

When morning came, I was hesitant but he quickly kissed those bad thoughts away every time. We both rode back to the ranch together, to see Ellen and Bobby ringing the bell for breakfast. “I’m hungry, how about you?” “I know I worked up an appetite sweetheart” I laughed at his dorky grin he had. Once we put the horses away and kissed me one more time before heading in for food.

Everyone was thrilled to know that we had fixed things, I was always told that we belonged together. We sat down with everyone else, catching up on what happened those years I was gone. Since tonight was the extravaganza, Dean, Bobby and Sam went to help set up while Ellen, Jess (Sam’s Wife), and I made food for the pot luck before the dance and carnival.

I made my mom’s special bourbon pecan pie, well two, one for Dean and one for the party. I then went to get dressed, putting on my outfit for the night. Since I had a couple minutes, I called Jo getting things out and just coming back together like family again. I told her that we were working on getting back together and she was thrilled to hear it. We said our goodbyes and hung up ready for the night to get started.

“Y/n come on! Time to go!” “Coming” I ran downstairs and Ellen whistled at my outfit. “He’s going to go wild when he sees that” I giggled and shook my head, Jess and I were becoming great friends over the days I had been here. I grabbed the pie and headed out to see both women waiting. “Let’s go party!”

Once we pulled up to the place, it was beautifully decorated and ready for the party it was going to be. The Winchester’s always held the party on their land, well, all our property. John and Bobby bought this huge piece of property together so it was both theirs and ours. I walked into the house and visited Mary and John for a few minutes before looking for Dean.

John walked out with me showing me the new layout of the party they had come up with. “I’m glad you came back, he hasn’t smiled in the last eight years you’ve been gone” “I haven’t either, I hope we can fix things” “He’s smiled more in the last two days than he has that whole time, things are already getting fixed”

I saw the band rehearsing and the rides being prepared, I wondered if I could sing a couple songs with the band tonight. I walked over to see Dean, Chuck, Gabriel, and Michael warming up. I heard whistling as I walked up to the guys that I hadn’t seen in like forever. “Calm down boys, I only belong to one man”

“Wow! You’re trying to kill me, aren’t you?” I giggled and shook my head. “I was wondering if I could sing a couple songs with you?” “Uhm Hells yeah” Gabriel was such a dork, he also had the biggest sweet tooth other than Dean. “That would be awesome, the usual?” I whispered in his ear and of course he agreed quickly to what I had asked.

I started walking away, when a pair of arms wrapped around my middle. “You look stunning sweetheart” I turned in his arms to see him in a grey Henley and dark blue jeans with black cowboy boots. I leaned up kissing him and whispered in his ear “You don’t look so bad yourself” I didn’t know how long we stood there but I felt completely whole being in his arms again.

Once the party had started, Dean had disappeared and I was beginning to worry when I heard the band start up. I walked over and saw Dean checking his guitar. “Hey guys, so as you know y/n has come back home and I have never been as happy as I am now so baby this is for you.” The beginnings of the song started and automatically started tearing at his song choice. As he sang he only had eyes for one woman, me.

As the song ended everyone there were on their feet applauding, Dean had an amazing voice but didn’t share it very often. “Before we go any further, y/n can you come up here please?” I was nervous about what was going to happen but I walked up to the stage, reaching a hand down to pull me up. “Y/n, Since the day you left my love hasn’t changed one bit, I love you with everything I have and would be honored if you would marry me”

“Yes! Oh my God Yes!” He slipped the ring on my finger and kissed me with passion and love, I knew I made the right decision to come back home. “Hey now! I feel so unloved” I saw Jo walk through the crowd. I got down and ran toward her, hugging her tightly. Both of us were crying and happy that we could move on from this.

I walked back to the stage with the plan I had put in motion earlier. “So, I have a song that I may need some help with. Rob wanna start it up?” The notes started and Dean automatically started laughing. I just serenaded him as he smiled wide making his eyes crinkle, he even started singing with me. I finished the song and held him to me, happy that things were finally fixed and that we had a bright future ahead of us.

White Rabbit - Nineteen

Alice finally stopped talking, her eyes leaving the spot on the back of the closet door where they’d been fixated for the last forty five minutes as she recounted her story to Spencer.

As soon she’d started talking Spencer had slipped his cell from his pocket setting it on the floor between them and switching on the voice recorder app. He knew this technically wasn’t official as they weren’t in the interview room, but he didn’t want her to have to go through this story again. Her voice had started out shaky as she’d began but eventually it had levelled out into a completely flat tone with almost no emotion what so ever. He had questions that he needed answers to, things she’d mentioned that hadn’t been bought up earlier today. But first…

“Ally, you won’t be convicted if that’s what you’re worried about. You’re a witness here and you will be protected at all costs. I doubt very much that there’d even be any evidence that could lead to a trial for this particular murder.”

She whipped her face around to his, her eyes narrowed.

“I’m not worried about being fucking convicted. I’m worried because…. Because I could have killed someone. And how many people have I let get killed because I’ve only just spoken up. I’ve been out of that place for five years. How many more have they killed eh? When I could have done something about it.”

“But you had reasons not to. And I understand that, everyone would understand that. The important thing is that you got out when you did and that you have come forward and told the FBI about all of this. The BAU will do something about this, Lewis will be stopped one way or another.” Spencer stretched his legs out, shutting the voice recorder off.

“Are you ready to go back downstairs, or to at least go back to your apartment?” he needed to stand up but he didn’t really want to leave her alone. And it was getting late right now. Alice nodded and pushed the closet door with the back of her hand, letting it close as she rose to her feet awkwardly. Spencer followed suit and the two headed back stairs.

Ellen and Robert were in the kitchen which Alice had to go through to get to her apartment, unless she went outside of the house and around through the back entrance. Her sister’s eyes were red rimmed and her cheeks blotchy. She looked up at Ally as they entered, Ellen standing and walking over to her.

“I’m…. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything you went through and I’m sorry that I didn’t do a good enough job of being there for you and giving you a home that you wanted to stay in. I just…. I couldn’t be Mom, I didn’t want to be. The responsibility was too much. But I need you to know that despite our differences, you’re my baby sister. Whatever you did or didn’t do, you had your reasons and I know that you’ll have done it to survive. I wasn’t there for you then, but I’m here now. So is Robert. I’m sorry.”

Alice had rarely heard such emotion in her sister’s voice, Ellen hardly ever apologised for anything. Robert had a sad smile on his face, pleased that his wife was apologising and trying to make things right, but sad that she even had to. Alice surprised herself and her sister by lunging forward and wrapping her arms around Ellen’s neck, her sister quickly enveloping her waist with her own limbs. They held each other for a moment before breaking apart without words, just a look of understanding passing between them.

“I’m going to my room. I’m tired and I need a drink, I think. Ellie, for what it’s worth, I’m sorry too. For everything. Goodnight sissie,” she used her very very old nickname for her elder sister, earning a soft smile from the older woman. “Goodnight Robert.”

“Night Ally, Goodnight Dr Reid.”

Back at headquarters early the next morning Aaron Hotchner and the other Agents were making a list of questions they needed to ask the girl today. Spencer had sent the voice recording across to the team last night, the two having yet to arrive.

“Blood buyers?” Derek called out and Penelope jotted it down on a notepad. Aaron nodded.

“She mentions someone called Abby, she’s not talked about her before but she sounds important,” JJ commented, Penelope scribbling the name down.

“I still can’t work out why the bodies were dumped in the surrounding counties. If they were so secretive then why not bury them on site or at least hide them. Yet they were left in relatively clear view.” Rossi contributed to the list.

“When they arrive Dave and Spencer will take the leads on questioning again. Penelope, have you come any closer to finding out who Lewis is?”

The blonde shook her head. “No sir, I’ve pulled up a list of all the children that were reported missing and that would have been around his age when he was found, and I’ve used facial recognition software using the few photos we have from Alice of him as an adult. Even with the advanced technologies we have now, it’s not bringing up anything that’s even close to a match.”

“Keep trying.” Hotch nodded at her, turning to Derek and Agent Jareau. “I need you two working the maps. I know they’re normally Reid’s forte but she mentioned that the camp is around twenty miles away from the county she was found in. We know where that is at least. And she managed to get from the compound in two days of walking, or at least so she says. Pull up any aerial photography we have of that area. We need a location on this place, we need to start planning how we’re going to get in, and how we’re going to take it down with minimal losses to life. They have weapons and having been planning for an attack of some kind for years. Do NOT contact any of the park rangers. Garcia has pulled their financial records and their bank accounts are indeed highly inflated in comparison to their wages. Cash deposits every few months. We will crack this one, we have to.”

L-O-ELLen: DeGeneres is joined by supportive wife Portia de Rossi as she performs her second stand up comedy gig in 15 years
Ellen DeGeneres is known as the undisputed queen of daytime talk.

But before her gig as host of the daily chatfest, which has won 59 Emmy Awards, the star, 59, began her career as a stand-up comedian.

And on Wednesday night, she went back to her roots by performing her second comedy show in 15 years at the Largo in Los Angeles.

Ellen was spotted leaving the gig looking relieved after a successful show, joined by her wife of nine years, Portia de Rossi, 44.

The loved-up couple were swarmed by selfie-seeking fans as they made their exit, and were happy to oblige their requests.

DeGeneres deviated from her usual pantsuits, opting for a much more casual chambray button down worn over a t-shirt, matched with medium-wash skinny jeans and her wardrobe staple: white sneakers.

Portia complemented her wife’s casual cue, sporting a grey denim jacket which matched her skinny jeans, but dressed up the look with white heels.

The former Ally McBeal actress also wore a white t-shirt with a horse printed on it for her wife’s big gig.

Portia’s blonde locks were worn wavy with heavy bangs that nearly hid her beautiful face.

A/U: So I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s read this monster. You’ve all been so nice and kind over the past 4-5 months and I cannot tell you how nice it’s been having you get excited or upset about what I’ve written. Having someone telling you how invested they are into something you’ve created is an amazing feeling. I’m bittersweet seeing this coming to an end because I only hope I can make something like this again and have you all support it as much as this. But until that day comes I will give one last thank you and say I love you.

The Ellen Show Master List

<< Previous Chapter |

“Welcome back.” A guy with a headset said to me as I was waiting behind the set. He must have recognized me but I didn’t recognize him.

“Oh thank you for having me.” I smiled before pushing my hair back behind my ear shyly. He then processed to quickly give me a run down but we had both done this so many times now it wasn’t really needed anymore.

I heard my name a few seconds after the guy waved for me to start walking. A few moments later Ed Sheeran’s Galway Girl came over the set and I smiled brightly as I came around the corner. Waving to the audience I walked across the flooring before looking up and seeing Ellen standing up waiting for me.

When I reached her we reached out to one another and hugged. She gave me a greeting even though we had already chatted a lot backstage as it being my third time on the show she had wanted to get to know me a bit more.

We sat back down in the white lounge chairs as the audience faded out, I smiled at them as they did.

“Welcome back! How have you been?” She asked waving to me.

“Amazing!” I said smoothing my loose dress pants. “How have you been?”

She smiled because it was funny for me to ask her a question on her own show. “I’ve been great.”

We both smiled fondly to one another kind of awkwardly but it wasn’t actually uncomfortable it was more because of the cameras. It was a cute moment for T.V.

Ellen sat forwards saying it was great to have me back again.

“My gosh, when was the last time you were here?” She asked.

I took a moment to think about it. “Oh my god, I can’t remember I think that was maybe back in August? I do remember I was here for Signin’ In the Rain before it came out. So that must have been before September?”

I placed both my hands on the armrests and grinned. “Wow, has it really been that long?”

Ellen gave her dazzling smile and I wondered if that woman ever looked mad. “I think it has been that long.”

“Wow,” I said leaning back, before giving a pout. “I’ve missed you.”

“We’ve missed you too. You need to come and see us more.”

“I know, I know. I’m sorry, I’ve just been so crazy busy.”

She nodded. “Yes, you sure have been, haven’t you. Let’s talk about that.”

I started laughing. Ellen was so good and steering a conversation and I knew she was going to start complimenting me next. I began to blush already, I hadn’t gotten used to it yet.

She pulled out a note card on her side table. “So let’s just jump into this lengthy list, just in case anyone missed your world wind of a year.”

I smiled waiting.

“You guest starred on five new episodes of Riverdale, ended up winning Choice Villain at this year’s Teen Choice awards. You filmed a new movie set to come out in a few months. And then, of course, you had all the success with Singin’ In the Rain. Which of course you were nominated for a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, SAG Award and an Oscar. Which you won all of them for.”

As she looked up from reading her lengthy list and I tried to suppress a smile. The audience cheered after she had listed off my successes from the past year since I had seen her last. I thanked her and the audience as well, before needing to answer.

I simply shook my head in awe. “It’s honestly been an amazing year.” I went to say more and a few sounds came out of my mouth but I really was at a loss to say more, it was still a lot to believe.

I finally just finished by repeating myself with a smile. “It’s just been a really amazing year.”

“I can imagine.” She smiled before leading into the next question.

“It must have changed a lot in your life? I mean I can imagine with that amount of success things are very different now in your life.”

I nodded and sat forward. “Yeah. Things have completely changed. At first, things were kinda of happening slowly but then they just snowballed. I used to not think about people following me or recognizing me. And now I do.” I paused a moment and adjusted my words, not wanting to sound conceded.

“I mean it’s not crazy or anything, but it’s something I now have to consider when I go out to just get eggs, you know? It’s odd. Two years ago I was just moving to L.A and no one cared what I was doing and now I have sometimes cars that follow me around, or make up stuff about me?”

I looked at her giving her an amused look. “It’s odd.”

She smiled. “It is isn’t it?”

She went on to ask me about the oddest story I had heard about myself online. And I gave her some rumour that was going around on twitter that was odd. It probably wasn’t the oddest but it was the only one I could think of at the moment.

“Speaking of rumours.” She said with a grin and I knew whatever was next was going to make me uncomfortable and I had a good idea of what it was.

There was some cheers and awes some the audience and I looked up to the monitor behind us and the first thing I saw was Shawn’s face. My heart skipped a moment before it started pounding like the feet of a race horse.

“So what are you trying to say here?” Shawn asked upset.

I covered myself with a blanket from the couch and sat on it. “I’m not trying to say anything Shawn?”

He gave me a very upset look. “Don’t give me that shit. You are.” He slipped over his shirt that had been laying on the floor.

“Shawn I’m not!”

He shook his head upset with me. Shawn hadn’t taken it too well when I had pressed about the future of our relationship because Charlie was pressuring me to do so. Everything had kind of been going alright until I had said that I was asking because Charlie wanted to know.

“What the fuck? This is ridiculous. Are you even asking about what we are because you actually care about it or because your manager does?”

I began to stumble over my words. “Shawn, I -,”

“It’s not a hard question?” He said cold and harsh.

I said his name again but struggled to say more again. I was confused by words for whatever reason. He simply shook his head and began to walk out of the empty living room area that our naked bodies had just been laying in.

I called his name as he began to walk away. He didn’t stop so I jumped up from the couch keeping the blanket curled under my arms.

“Shawn, Shawn stop.”

He kept walking and I had to be careful not to trip as I tried to catch up to him. I was a foot away when he turned.

“Shawn. I-.” I stumbled again now that he was stopped. He was about to turn away before I began speaking quickly.

“Shawn stop acting immature and give me a fucking second to collect my thoughts.”

He didn’t like this and stopped in his tracks turning to me and speaking sharply. “I am not being immature!”

You gave a laugh because of how defensive he was being and it only made the statement more acurate. “Yes, you are.”

Shawn gave an upset look and went to turn away but I said his name firmer and he stopped.

“Would you let me get my thoughts together for two point five seconds? Jesus.”

His face was angry. “Why would you need to collect your thoughts about that? Either you give a shit or your manager does? It’s not a complex question.”

“I do give a shit!” I said almost yelled, my voice went high.

Immediately I didn’t like the way I had raised my voice so I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, allowing myself to finally get a few moments to collect my words and he finally let me.

“I do give a shit.” I sighed again and spoke softly. “I do give a shit Shawn. And so does my manager. Charlie gives a shit because I went on live T.V and said things I shouldn’t have and now we need to give an answer.”

As I was speaking Shawn’s face has grown soft but by the time I was done my sentence his face was hard again.

“So yes you only care because your manager needs an answer for your image?”

“No Shawn. Fuck.” He was turning away and I reached out grabbing his arm harshly and pulling him to turn to me.

“I care. I asked because I want to know. Listen. I went on T.V and said shit I shouldn’t have. I should have lied and I could have, but I didn’t.“

I looked up into his eyes wanting to convey my seriousness.

"Because I didn’t want to. I didn’t want to lie anymore, so I didn’t and how I’m being bombarded.  I backed myself into a corner not even realizing it.  People aren’t just being nasty online but to my face Shawn. I had a girl call me a cunt as I was walking out from an event the other night. It’s a lot, Shawn. So I’m asking because I need to know. Because I want to know, not just because Charlie does but because I want to. Subconsciously I forced myself into a situation that forced me to asked. ”

“When why didn’t you just say that?” He asked. “Why did you say you were asking because Charlie needed to know?”

I sighed and told him the truth. “I don’t know because I was afraid. I was afraid to force things.”

I gave a long pause.

“I am afraid to force things. We don’t get the luxury of ‘just dating’. We have to go from just friends to a relationship, and tell everyone and that’s not how relationships work.” I turned my head away.

“Everything has been amazing. So amazing and I don’t want to let it go. But it also makes me want more now. I know. I know we agreed to keep things a secret, it was better for the both of us. Or well probably better for you, because let’s be real no one gives a shit who I’m dating unless it’s with you.”

I shook my head stopping myself from my ramble. I wasn’t making any sense anymore

“Point is. I want to move forward. And I am asking, just me. Because I want to know and I need an answer on if this is going anywhere and when?”

He stood tall just a few feet away, his hair was messy and his graphic t-shirt with print on the front was twisted from putting it on quickly. Suddenly his posture relaxed and he put his weight on one of his long legs.

“So why didn’t you just say that? Why did you bring in Charlie?” He was still irritated.

I cringed. “Uh. I - I don’t know. Shifting blame? Accountability?” I shook my head I still wasn’t finding the right word, so I found a more embarrassing explanation.

“I just wanted to seem like I didn’t care if you rejected the fuck out of me.”

Shawn began to grin and then smile, which made me feel a little better.

I shifted the blanket under my arm, nervously.

“So do you see this going anywhere, Shawn? Or am I just crazy? I mean not to get dramatic but…”

“Why are you like this?” He asked stepping forwards.

I gave a bewildered look. “Like what?”

He didn’t answer me but just shook his head. He now only stood inches from me and I had to look up at him. He was smiling down at me, and while logically that would have been a very good sign, I was still too uneasy to see that.

“You haven’t answered my question yet?” I pressed with hesitation.

“What’s the question?” He smiled.

I gave a look but answered anyways. “Do you want more Shawn? More than just this?”

He sighed and said my name smoothly. “Oh, the fact you even need to ask that hurts.”

I narrowed my eyes. And a moment later his large hand came up and touched my cheek before cupping my jaw. Instantly my heart quickened in fear, but a moment later it transformed into excitement.

“I want more than this.” He answered. "So much more.”

Slowly his head came down and his lips found mine. I let myself enjoy the touch because it was too nice to not enjoy it. Our lips slowly pulled apart and our lips were still just inches from one another.

“Shawn, but do you want more now?” I whispered on his lips, the heat of my breath reflected back on my face due to our proximity. I wanted him to answer me. “I mean, like now, not later. Right now?”

His lips were already softly brushing mine and he hesitated a moment before saying my name.

“Yes?” I answered.

“Could you shut up and let me kiss you?”

I went to say his name but was silenced. As he kissed me softly and his hand slowly brushed around my sides I began to feel that everything was okay. He was kissing me with the answer. Eventually, I smiled on his lips, breaking the kiss.

“Next time you want to make things official with me, please just ask. Don’t bring Charlie into it okay?” Shawn said jokingly.

“Okay,” I said as I began to laugh at Shawn. He was smiling and brushing his thumb on my cheek. Unable to help myself I rested my hand on his chest and reached to kiss him again.

As I continued to look up at the monitor behind mine and Ellen’s seat I slowly took in the picture. I saw it was one I had posted a month before of myself and Shawn backstage at his show in Milan. I was sitting on the back of the dressing room couch and putting the longer hair on Shawn’s head into a small ponytail. Shawn’s eyes were closed because she was giving such a large grin for the picture, and it added to the silliness of the small little ponytail on his head like a unicorn.

I had to pull myself away from enjoying the picture to return to the present moment. Ellen was grinning at me wanting me to speak, but I just bit my lip playfully and turned away.

“So…” She finally said and the audience giggled.

I blushed and looked away shyly. “So I mean I guess that game of ‘Who’d You Rather?’ really works as a dating service.”

Everyone began to laugh at my joke, but as they cheered I could tell they were excited that I was finally confirming our relationship.

After the night at my house, we stopped hiding our relationship. We went out together and held hands but never outright confirmed it; always avoiding the question but we stopped denying it. It hadn’t been until two weeks ago Shawn and I agreed that whoever was next asked about our relationship next could finally confirm what was already known.

Ellen was smiling to me as I finally confirmed what she was pressing for. When everyone grew quiet again I made another joke.

“I’d have to give it an 11/10 on customer satisfaction.”

They all laughed again and she reached out touching the arm on my chair. “I’m so happy to hear that, you both look really happy.”

There was another awe from the audience and there was a new picture on the monitor. I smiled at it and turned back to her.

“Yeah, I am. He’s amazing.” I smiled blushing. This was new being able to have the freedom to gush over Shawn and I felt almost uncomfortable doing so.

“He is, isn’t he? We’ve had him on the show a few times and he is just one of the most humble and sweetest people ever. Such a nice guy.”

I nodded listening to her.

“Yeah no, he really is. I’ve never met a person who tries so hard to be good to people. But like it’s not fake for him, that’s just genuinely who he is. Like he always makes sure to let people know he cared about them even if he’s so far away.”

I took a quick pause unsure if I should continue but I decided to, I was allowed now.

“Like a couple weeks ago I was at an award show and he was at one of his shows and he must have been watching it on T.V and they panned on me at some point in the show.”

I looked to the audience and then Ellen they were listening carefully.

“So he managed to get a picture of me as I was sitting in the audience and then he sent it to me and saying ‘You look so beautiful’.”

I watched as Ellen smiled and I heard the audience responding, as they did I couldn’t help but smile like an idiot.

“It’s just things like that, simple things that he does and you feel really special.”

Ellen was smiling fondly.  “Well, the both of you are both so nice, and you’re both such good people so I can see why you’re together.” She took a quick pause.

“You seem to be really happy.”

I smiled to her and my chest swelled at the thought of how happy I was. Quickly as I felt all the happiness I had from Shawn a few words came up to my lips to respond to Ellen. The words were overwhelming but I forced them down and responded instead with, “Thank you. I really am.”

Ellen moved onto another topic but as I sat in the seat I brought the words back up into my head and thanked myself for not saying them.

I first needed to tell Shawn that I loved him before I told the whole world.

Was watching some Ellen stand up and this happened at the end of the gig and it just made me smile.

Life Ain’t Simple - Part 6

Dean Winchester x Reader

2142 Words

Dean is incredibly happy to be out on the open road with his baby under him. He hollers out the window, all of them rolled down and the radio blasting. You sit between him and Sam, taking a look around at the nature surrounding you.

“Fuck, it’s amazing!” Dean smirks, his eyes straight on the road, dodging some roadkill. “Listen to that purr!”

Sam raises an eyebrow and shoots you a look. “That’s your boyfriend.” He tries not to laugh, but he enjoys the Impala, too. “Should we pull over? Give you two some alone time?” He teases.

Dean chuckles and slaps his large hand on your thigh, giving it a rough squeeze. “Naw, I got my baby, and my baby, and my baby brother. What more could a man ask for?” He speeds down the road, his foot gently pressing the gas harder and harder until you’re sure he may enter a new year.

“You’ve been giving her a lot more attention than me these last few days.” You stick your tongue out, looking over at Dean.

He reaches over your shoulder and pulls your body against him, the heat seeping off of him. “Showed you a lot of attention at the same time, amiright?” He smirks, causing Sam to turn his head and fake a cough, wishing he were anywhere but here.

Giggling, you sit up and kiss Sam’s cheek. “I think Sam is feeling left out, doll. He needs some lovin’ too.” You coo and playfully twist a strand of hair around your finger.

“Hey! Mine!” Dean barks, yanking you back at his side with a blushing Sam trying to press himself against the door. Dean growls deep in his chest and lets his fingers slip through yours, driving with his left hand on the wheel. “Mine.”

“Calm down.” You giggle, looking up at the man. “I’m just having a bit of fun.”
