general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess| like them! | love them | actual love of my life
hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot |gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang (I MEAN HE’S GORGEOUS, HE SAYS SO HIMSELF, BUT IDK MAN. DO I BELIEVE HIM? NOT SURE.)
best quality: He’s charming and hysterically funny (which is also what makes him dangerous lol), and I find that when I am AWAY from Lestat I’m not a huge fan of him, but once I’m actually reading one of his books he has me laughing and cheering for him.
worst quality: This fuckin guy. He’s so selfish and manipulative and he twists all the stories to excuse himself for his terrible decisions. SOMETIMES he pays for what he does, that’s cool, but often he doesn’t.
ship them with: Nicki. :(
brotp them with: Armand, Quinn.
needs to stay away from: Everyone? LOL Mostly his abused fledglings, I suppose.
misc. thoughts: I find Lestat fascinating as a character in terms of toggling between being mad at HIM vs. being mad at ANNE for some of his atrocious behavior. If you can accept canon reality and NOT judge him as a complete Mary Sue the series is actually like a fascinating portrait of an egomaniac and I love unpacking the stories as him being an unreliable narrator, and I love hand-waving away people’s OOC actions by going “Well Lestat isn’t reading them the right way and is relaying it to us with his skewed perception of events” and that can make things really interesting to me. And the more time goes by and the more focus I put on BELIEVING THE CANON, the more it makes me think Louis was telling the truth the whole fucking time. AND LIKE. The funny thing about it is that it’s kind of a happy accident on Anne’s part, I really don’t think she intended for any of this but it’s a way for me to squeeze more enjoyment out of these goddamn books after like 17 years goddamn.
