When your husband and you both agree “this baby totally sucks” and you feel dread for the whole process, it’s not time for you to have children. The twins kept Lane from living up to her potential (vapor rub tour, etc). I don’t know why ASP wrote the whole show so pro-life. Sherri should have aborted, Lane should have aborted, Sookie should have aborted her third child. It’s not some taboo subject.
For today’s quote of the day, I share with you only a very small fraction of hilarious lines from one Lorelai Gilmore! She is by far one of my all time favourite characters on TV, she is brillaint. Not that this is even possible, but if by some weird reason you have not seen Gilmore Girls; I suggest you do so… ASAP 😍🙌🏼🔥😭
My favorite canonically autistic characters are Spencer Reid, Zack Addy, Narset, Julia and Symmetra. As for headcanons (which is why I don’t list Narset with the Planeswalkers I headcanon as autistic and likewise with Symmetra with the Overwatch heroes, since they’re canon representation), here’s a bit of a giant list
Everyone in the Pokemon universe (and I truly mean everyone, I just consider Cyrus a bit of an embarrassment to autistic-kind)
All SBURB/SGRUB etc. players from Homestuck (I love someone’s headcanon I read somewhere that the game does that on purpose)
Every Warehouse Caretaker, past, present and future, from Warehouse 13 (from good ones like Claudia and Mrs. Frederic to evil ones like Paracelsus) and, as with SBURB, I headcanon the Warehouse does that on purpose, selecting for at least the most autistic traits (because they’re best suited to the responsibility) even if no one (like was the case for most of history) has a diagnosis
Carrie White from Carrie
Tracy Turnblad from Hairspray
Alexander Hamilton from Hamilton
Nina Rosario and Usnavi from In The Heights
Matilda Wormwood from Matilda
Mark Cohen from Rent
Eleanor Fairchild from Starmites
Leaf Coneybear, Logainne Schwarzandgrubinierre, Marcy Park and Olive Ostrovsky from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Elder Arnold Cunningham from The Book Of Mormon

Elphaba from Wicked
Zanna from Zanna, Don’t
Buster Baxter, D.W. Read, Fern Walters and Prunella Deegan from Arthur
Jackie, Inez and Matt from Cyberchase
Dipper and Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls
The Question from Justice League Unlimited
Arnold, Dorothy Ann and Tim as well as Ms, Frizzle from The Magic School Bus
the whole Botsford family as well as Captain Tangent, Dr. Two-Brains, Lady Redundant Woman, Miss Question and Mr. Big from WordGirl
Live-Action TV characters
Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds
Douglas Fargo, Henry Deacon, Holly Marten and Jim Taggart from Eureka
Emily, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, Sookie St. James, Lane Kim, Luke Danes and Jess Mariano from Gilmore Girls

Henry Mills from Once Upon A Time
Kara Danvers from Supergirl
Gilda Flip, Marcus Barnes and Manny Spamboni from The Electric Company
Barry Allen, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Eobard Thawne, Harrison Wells (in all seen incarnations), Hartley Rathaway and Leonard Snart from The Flash
Cassandra Cillian, Dulaque, Ezekiel Jones, Flynn Carsen, Jacob Stone, Jenkins and Lucy Lyon from The Librarians
Sue Heck from The Middle
the Bird-Kersee family from The Neighbors (granted, they are aliens, but they do display a lot of traits between them that could be thought of as autistic if they were human, and no, not all are from classic alien “stranger-in-a-strange-land-ness”)
Pete Lattimer from Warehouse 13 (Claudia’s mentioned with the other Caretakers above)
Characters from other forms of media (books, movies, etc.)
Elsa from Frozen
Pip from Great Expectations
Luna and Xenophilius Lovegood from Harry Potter
Chandra Nalaar, Elspeth Tirel, Jace Beleren, Nissa Revane, Ral Zarek, Saheeli Rai and Tezzeret from Magic: The Gathering (yes, even villains can be autistic without being stereotypical and I have a couple more MtG headcanons but this is just the Planeswalkers)
D.va, Efi, Hanzo, Lucio, Orisa and Sombra from Overwatch
Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez and Percy Jackson from the Riordanverse
WAIT! You aren’t watching Gilmore Girls? Well here’s why you should be...
Gilmore Girls first aired on October 5th
2000. It lasted seven long, fabulous
years as it ended on May 15th 2007.
However, now that Netflix have uploaded all seven seasons and the
revival four episodes from late last year; everyone has started watching
it. There is a new generation of people
watching a classic noughties show.
The show focuses on
Lorelai, a single mother, raising her daughter Rory, in a small town in
Connecticut; Stars Hollow. The town is
filled with many interesting characters, and Lorelai and Rory are only the
beginning of the craziness that fills this fictional town. Everyone in Stars Hollow has a great bond, it
would make anyone watching, want to live there.
It is the perfect place to stay.
Now, here are the reasons you should be watching Gilmore
Girls. I must warn you, after you watch
you won’t be able to stop…
Lorelai and Rory’s Relationship
Now this is not just a mother, daughter
relationship, they are best friends. The
scenes between the two are hilarious and heart-warming, they are a brilliant duo. With their incredibly fast and witty banter,
they are an unstoppable pair.
Rory is totally relatable
Throughout most of the seasons, the
beginning in particular, Rory has struggles.
She fights through everything that every young girl like her has to
survive. From stress of school, self-loathing,
dealing with boys and the feeling nothing is going right.
Peaceful yet crazy town of stars
This small, quaint town in Connecticut is
the image of the ideal place to live. From
heated town meetings, to over the top events, you definitely wouldn’t ever be
bored staying here. Stars Hollow is not
only filled with colourful people like the eccentric and quirky town mad-man
Kirk, to the loud mouth town gossips Miss Patty and Babette, but the most aesthetically
pleasing buildings and scenery.
Lorelai is reason enough!
Personally, Lorelai is my favourite
character on the show. With her charm,
wit, bubbly personality and ability to drink copious amounts of coffee within
24 hours, Lorelai will win you over easily.
She makes the coolest mum, speaks the truth and does not apologise for
being herself… EVER! Go Lorelai
Watching it now, makes it the biggest
If you are starting Gilmore Girls
now, it is such a throwback to simpler times.
Seeing the fashion, the technology, the food, the music and the
lifestyle of an early noughties culture is like a breath of fresh air. Also, not to mention some of the actors and
actresses we know now, we can see them here when they were just young things.
As I said before about few familiar faces
you will see throughout this seven seasons, a lot of them are Rory’s
boyfriends. Let’s start with Dean Forester,
he is played by Jared Padalecki, who lots of you will know and love from
Supernatural. Also, Logan Huntzberger, who you may know from
his role in The Good Wife. Milo
Ventimiglia also plays one of Rory’s boyfriends, Jess Mariano, who has recently
been in ‘This Is Us’. Hell, even Chad
Michael Murray played a boy that Rory had a little something with. Safe to say Rory has had a rather good
looking pick of boyfriends through the years.
7. LUKE DANES.
Ah… Luke Danes, he absolutely makes the
show. He may be a stubborn loner but he
is such a funny and kind hearted guy.
His dry wit and care for those close to him is what will pull you in to
love him. He is by far the funniest character,
in my opinion, on Gilmore Girls.
The women empowerment message
Gilmore Girls makes it clear that women can
succeed and survive in their lives without anyone else to rely on. Lorelai’s story in particular, since the age
of 16 when she fell pregnant with Rory, she has thrived on her own. As she moved away from her parents to Stars
Hollow and began working in an Inn, climbing her way up in the business, soon following
her dreams of owning her own Inn.
Showing that when no one believed in her she could do it and all by
Takes you away from reality
A great thing about watching
Gilmore Girls is that you feel so invested in the characters lives and care
about them. This gives everyone watching
the opportunity to escape for a while, relax and live with all the residents of
Stars Hollow. You know it is a good
show, when it is easy to watch; when you lose track of time.
10. And finally, let’s not forget the
iconic theme song!
When you tune into Gilmore Girls the theme song will have you singing
along each word by the third episode. It
has become a classic, extremely well-known for Gilmore Girls fans.
Ok, so they are just a few, out of a million reasons, you should be watching Gilmore Girls. Summer is coming and you have plenty time to binge-watch seven seasons. So let’s get to it, join the Stars Hollow Community.
FEMALE AWESOME MEME|| (4/5 Female Driven Shows) » Gilmore Girls ↳ “My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to be… As she guided me through these incredible eighteen years, I down know if she ever realized that the person I most wanted to be was her.”
Luke and Lorelai already married, maybe with a kid (though I can’t decide if this might seem weird…but they really did want kids.) Luke being supportive and loving to Lorelai throughout the emotional tumult of losing her father.
Richard’s death & its emotional impact on the other characters being appropriately addressed. I think his funeral would be a really interesting starting point for the first episode.
Lots of Lorelai/Emily/Rory time - as a threesome, but also as pairs. I want to laugh and cry along with them.
JESS. ALL THE JESS. Jess with Rory, Jess with Lorelai, Jess with Luke, Jess with everyone. And yeah, Jess ending up with Rory.
Adult Logan. Maybe it’s just my obsession with Matt Czuchry’s character on The Good Wife, but I really do want to see where this dude is at now. I also hope he gets some sort of closure with Rory.
I oscillate between hoping Dean grew up and moved on and is happy and being convinced that he basically turns into the guy in the bridge of Taylor Swift’s ‘Mean’.
Paris and Doyle, being…Paris and Doyle. Possibly with mini-Parises and Doyles running around. Let’s be real…they probably have a monopoly on the entire world at this point.
Lane having accomplished something really awesome. Her character was given such a raw deal towards the end that I really need to see her living her dream in some way.
Mrs. Kim. Being Mrs. Kim.
Sookie and Michel. I need lots of Sookie and Michel. This show is not complete without Sookie and Michel.
Kirk and Lulu with a son named Kirk, who is basically a miniature clone of adult Kirk.
I’d really like to see April make an appearance, though yeah, this may be mostly because it would make me excited to see Bay Kennish turn up in Stars Hollow.
But for the love of all things holy, please no Anna.
• Rory’s and Logan’s characters were off but not completely. Logan was ready to marry Rory so I think it’s a shock that he would want to carry something on with her but at the same time, Logan was known for having a couple of girls on the go. Morover, I think Rory always changed when she was with Logan, she was nasty and didn’t seem like the same Rory we knew. (She was so cautious and didn’t want to hurt anyone like remember how she wouldn’t let Jess kiss her in public because she was worried about dean but now she can cheat with logan and its all fine???)
• RORY WAS A DICK TO PAUL! SHE DRAGGED OUT A 2 YEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM! And when we first meet him, he sounds like he really cared and tried to impress Luke and Lorelai by taking notes of the small things they said.
• LUKE AND LORELAI ARE FINALLY MARRIED IM SO HAPPY
• Luke saw Rory as his own daughter
• Luke also saw Jess has his
• EMILY GILMORE HAS GIVEN ME LIFE – her character development was the best by far and I’m so happy they touched on so many subjects like grief and her maids and the society which she always had to be happy in
• JESS. Jess is still in love with her after all these years and he wants nothing more for her to succeed and get all her goals even if that means pretending like he doesn’t love her anymore
• I’m so glad they paid richard all the respect he deserves – plus Lorelai’s story about when she was 13 had me balling
• Michel having a husband and them not making a big deal about it was nice - it felt natural
• SOME OF THE SCENES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL – like the secret wedding and the Life and Death scene (plus colin, finn and robert are back)
• I’m not a fan of the ending – that was not closure and it hurts my heart
• The dean scene made me so happy – it was just perfect and it felt natural
• I don’t think they needed the Christopher scene. They’ve touched on him being absence loads of times and every time he said he felt guilty about it
• I love that Lane’s band is still together
• Kirk and Lulu wanted kids
• I don’t like how absent Sookie was – remember when she was pregnant and she came and stayed at the Inn to make sure Luke’s food was okay, she was in love with the Inn I just don’t see how she could leave it for 2 years
I now get the importance of the Chris scene - It was actually well done then
AND THE ENDING WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER IF LORELAI TURNED TO RORY AND WENT ‘can’t wait to meet the new gilmore’ I’d have been happy then
I love all the Paris scenes. Remember the episode where Rory has a dream about Paris being married and owning the house, it reminded me so much of that and all her scenes just worked. Plus the stairs joke (relatable)
Update: If they could only get Sookie for one episode, they could have wrote her out better. It’s just not in her character to have upped and left the Inn and there’s no way in hell she would have gone that long without staying in touch. Like her and Jackson and the kids could have gone on a long holiday and I would have liked that better.
