squirrel bits

Though it’s a little hard to tell, Jay’s a silver blue tabby cause I always thought it was a shame that none of Crow’s kits had silver too

So there's a lot of arguments about not feeding wildlife. Does that apply to all wildlife or just to predators? Would it be wrong to feed birds or squirrels, or just things like bears that could hurt someone?

With birds & squirrels specifically, and depending on what you’re putting out, IMO, it’s okay. Some people would disagree & push for no feeding wildlife at all. The reasons I say it’s probably fine:

- Both birds & squirrels don’t typically become dependent on just one food source. With birds especially, I remember seeing a study that showed they will adjust easily with other food sources if a human-provided feeder goes empty. (I’m sorry, I can find a source later if someone requests such - I’m exhausted, but wanted to answer this before bed.)

- Most songbirds & squirrels are less likely to become actively aggressive or destructive if the food source goes dry or changes. They also don’t have pose as many serious health risks to humans/domestic pets (that’s not to say they pose NO threats).

- It helps remind people to take time to appreciate nature.

Some considerations that I think should be taken into account if feeding birds and/or squirrels:

- Make sure the food is healthy & appropriate for them. I had a family friend that was putting sunflower seeds out for their squirrels. A great treat! Much appreciated by their yard squirrels! …The squirrels got FAT. Sunflower seeds are okay in moderation, but not as a never-ending banquet. For birds, different species come to different seed mixes & may need specialized feeders, so that takes a bit of research. If you feed hummingbirds & orioles, make sure the food you put out is safe and make sure you’re changing it regularly because it can make them sick if it goes bad. We cleaned & changed our hummingbird & oriole feeders daily in the summer at the wildlife rehab.

- Keep in mind that there still IS the possibility that squirrels may become overly used to people & come too close. They are still wild animals and they pack a good bite. Do not encourage hand feeding or your direct presence with food, especially if you’re in a public area (college campus, etc.) where there are other people around. They can also seriously injure dogs if a dog goes after one & actually grabs it.

- Take a look at what other wildlife you have in the area. You may well attract some less welcome guests if you’re putting food out - raccoons, skunks, potentially coyotes, bears, etc.

- Last thing I can currently think of that isn’t really a reason to NOT do it, just a thing to keep in mind - if you have a bird feeder out, there is a possibility that you may end up with bird-eating predators hanging out. IMO, it’s a good idea to discourage/drive away outdoor/feral cats away from your feeders. They have no business hunting birds.

But you may also end up with natural predators like Cooper’s Hawks (depending on your location). This is normal & just something to deal with. I’ve heard of people (especially older folks) getting really upset about hawks going after their pretty songbirds, but it’s just kind of part of nature. And it IS illegal to harm or kill the hawk, so it’s really not advised to try & do anything about it. (I had an elderly guy tell me about how he used to kill hawks going after his bird feeder birds at one of my first solo educational programs and I was at a total loss for how to respond without just yelling at him. It sucked!)

Oh, and a last note - WATER is especially helpful for a lot of wildlife too, and not a lot of people think of it! Especially in the city & in the winter, water can be a very scarce resource, so having a safe watering station for your local wildlife can be super appreciated. And again, make sure you’re keeping it clean so it doesn’t become a potential danger to them.

reminder that i (myself, the blogger, ry, ya home skillet) LOVE you and you’re important and valid and i hope that you have a good day ok???

i hope u feel loved and that something makes u as happy as texting makes nabalungi, as happy as nabalungi makes mafala, as happy as star wars makes arnold, as happy as orlando makes kevin, as happy as the color pink makes elder mckinley, and as happy as poptarts make elder thomas!!!

i hope u experience that kind of happiness in the next 24 hrs i love u , spread some love!! sometimes u dont realize who needs it most!!!

I got my The Lightning Thief cast album today and I’ve been listening to it all day. I saw the show 8 times and I really miss it.

- I was remembering that time when Chris made his entrance and the audience cheered, it was a wonderful moment.

- Carrie singing Strong is so beautiful

- The feels during Their Sign, I wish Jonathan got to sing more by himself in the show.

- Another Terrible Day always made me laugh. I love the “Girls and their ponies. Speaking of ponies…” line when Chiron makes his entrance. I thought that was one of the funniest lines in the show but I think a lot of people missed it.

- The notes that Sarah Beth hits in Put You In Your Place

- Chris showed so much emotion during Good Kid in the show and you can hear it in his voice

- I’m so glad they put the squirrel bit into the album.

- I love Drive, it’s such a fun song

- The emotion that George Salazar gives during Tree on the Hill

- Carrie slaying DOA

- James’ vocals during Last Day of Summer

- Bring on the Monsters is my favorite song on the album (obviously). The “Bring on the real worlddddd. Bring on the real worldddd” part always gets me so emotional.

I love this show so much.

Facebook Photos

This spring break, one of my classmates who happens to be a lonely child went on a camping trip with her parents. She started posting pictures to Facebook once she arrived at the site. I’m friends with her and check daily for new photos.

During the first few days, they were normal. Just selfies of her and trees and rivers and squirrels. A bit boring if you ask me but, you know how the outdoors are.

This morning, I noticed something in the background, in all of them. Someone or something was always peeking out from behind a tree or crouched behind a stump, always there. She didn’t notice the little girl who was always staring at her. Scowling at her.

She hasn’t posted any new pictures since last night.

Limericks and dares

You stared at him with an unflinching confidence. Sitting in a chair at one side of the table with your palms pressed down on top, your hair swept over your shoulder and face as stern as a pissed off headteacher.
Sam stared back, mirroring your position.

“You only have three lives and then you lose.” you stated.

“I know, I won’t need them. This is my area of expertise, darling.” he smirked.

Smug bastard you thought.

Castiel and Dean sat side-by-side on the end of the table between the both of you, their gazes bouncing back and forth as you took turns to speak. They had placed bets on who would win and who would lose. Dean had put $50 on you winning, but Cas had said he ‘had faith’ that Sam would prevail.

You scoffed. “Well, sweetling,” you leaned forward and brought your hand up to cup your mouth and whispered loudly, “you might want to find something else to excel at, else you might just be left with your deflated ego and a red face.” he narrowed his eyes at you. You grinned and sat back in your chair, lowering your hand to the table once again.

“Fine, no lives. You crack, you’re over.” You dramatically drug a finger across your neck to illustrate and he gave you a bitchy smile.

You started to list off the rules whilst directing your gaze at the persons most likely to break them. “No audience participation, no touching, no commenting on persons involved. We take turns, no interrupting, no criticising, and absolutely NO laughing. First person to laugh loses. Winner gets the beer.”

See, this whole debacle was about the last beer in the bunker that now sat in the middle of the table, awaiting to be drained by the victor. It had been chilled and poured into a straight pint glass, the shining golden colour full of tiny rising bubbles and a clean white head looked like the most tempting thing in the world.
Dean had refused to go out and get some more from the shops as it was pouring down with rain and had been for the past week. Another reason being was that he had managed to snatch the second to last one, leaving you and Sam standing there empty handed and staring at the lone bottle in the fridge. Dean sat there with his beer bottle clutched in his hand as he leant over the back of his chair which he had flipped around to sit more comfortably. Cas sat properly next to him in his own chair, hands folded in his lap.

It was Cas that had suggested the competition to everyone’s shock. Apparently him and Gabriel had previously used this tactic to solve their own personal arguments, and although you were sure Cas didn’t appreciate the concept as much as Gabriel, it definitely would have been a sight to see.

Sam’s hair swished against his jaw as nodded in agreement to your terms, and then he cleared his throat.

“There was a young man from Brighton
Who thought he’d at last found a tight ‘un.
He said, “Oh my love,
It fits like a glove.”
Said she, “But you’re not in the right ‘un.””

The two meerkats next to you swivelled their heads around to see your reaction. You stayed utterly still. Your face never betraying any of the emotions that you had to mentally beat down with a bat to keep at bay. You were a pro, but the look on Sam’s face in contrast to the dirty words spilling from his lips was almost enough to make your crack.
Your turn.

“There once was a man from madras
Whose balls were made of brass
In stormy weather
They clang together
And sparks fly out of his ass!”

Poker face. He didn’t even blink, and it looked like he wasn’t even breathing. He took a few seconds before he opened his mouth.

“There once was a man from Bel Air
Who was doing his wife on the stair
But the banister broke
So he doubled his stroke
And finished her off in mid-air.”

You pressed your lips together tightly and narrowed your eyes a little.

You little fucker.

You would not break. Your will was an impenetrable wall and your face was steel. If you were going to have anything with your life, you would have this. You just had to play dirtier. After relaxing your face, you began again.

“There once was a girl named McGill
Who used dynamite sticks for a thrill
They found her vagina
In South Carolina
And bits of her tits in Brazil.”

Dean covered an abrupt laugh with a cough and covered his mouth with a closed fist whereas Castiel only seemed to recognise the limerick and nodded along.
Sam’s eyes had widened, almost imperceptibly, but you saw it. His adam’s apple bobbed and your heart leapt to your throat. He was going to lose. You were so close, you just had to keep hacking at his defences. He must have seen the light in your eyes, because his fingers started to grip the table slightly. He breathed out of his nose harshly, his shoulders moving with the action and his eyes bored into you.

“There once was a barmaid named Gale
On whose breasts was the menu for ale
But since she was kind
For the sake of the blind
On her ass it was printed in Braille.”

Dean had to bite the fist still at his mouth to try and keep quiet, but you all heard as he let out a distorted squeak, his eyes alight with childish glee. Your chest constricted and you couldn’t quite tame your lips enough to stop the corners of them from turning up a smidge. Sam’s eyes locked onto the movement and when he brought them back up to yours, it was obvious he thought he was going to win. You breathed in deeply and let a wave of calmness wash over your face.

Time to pull out the big guns.

“A young escape artist by the name of Sweeny.
His girl was a bit of a meany.
At the hatch of her snatch.
She had a catch that would latch.
And she could only be fucked by Houdini.”

Dean couldn’t hold in his laughter anymore as it burst from his lips and flung him backwards, almost tipping him off the back of his chair and spilling his drink. Castiel simply looked over at him in confusion, obviously contemplating how it was physically possible to have a ‘latch’ on your ‘catch’.
First of all he had to figure out what a ‘catch’ was.
He would ask Dean later.

The combination of your words, Dean’s outburst and Castiel’s lost face had Sam lightly snorting.
His eyes widened and his large hand slapped over his mouth.

Your smile was positively glowing.
His eyes closed in defeat and his shoulders slumped.

You picked up the glass and proceeded to take a big gulp of the coveted beer. Sam pathetically watched your throat bob as you swallowed down half a pint then smacked the glass back on the table with a loud and satisfied groan. He slapped his hand on the table in outrage making the glass clatter against the wood.
Your other hand shot to the the pint to stop it from moving.
“Hey!” you snapped.
“Damn it!” he slapped his hand down again.
“Awh, c’mon Sammy! Don’t be a sore loser. She beat you fair and square, man. Hell, she’s got a dirtier mouth than me, you did well to last as long as you did.” Dean patted Sam on the shoulder, snickering at his innuendo.
Sam whacked his hand away and pointed at Dean accusingly. “I would have won if you hadn’t been giggling like a 13 year old over there with Mr. Clueless.” Sam flung a hand at Cas who sat looking innocent as ever.

“I wasn't giggling.” Cas said snidely. “You laughed, therefore you lost. And now I owe Dean $50.”
Dean grinned over at Cas and held his hand out to receive his prize.
“I don’t carry cash.” Cas stated.
Dean’s hand dropped against his knee. He looked away and shook his head with an unsurprised face. “Figures.”

“I’m willing to make a trade, Samuel.” You suddenly said, the pint glass still half full in your hands.
His eyes snapped to you. “What do you want?”

You tapped your fingers against the glass in a quick rhythm and you tilted your head to the side, looking to the corner of the room as you contemplated how far Sam was willing to be pushed.

“In fact, let’s make it a dare.”

Dean practically jumped up and down in his seat all giddy. Sam lifted his chin and showed no fear. “Name it.”

“Dean, can I borrow your phone for a second please?” you held out your hand to the side without looking over. Dean dug into his back pocket and deposited his phone into your hand. You scrolled through the contacts until you got to a certain name. Putting the phone on loudspeaker you set it on the table in front of Sam as it started to ring.

“Tell him you have a big crush on him. And that you think about him in the shower.”
Deans head was about to spin off if he swung it any faster, his mouth had dropped open and he waited for Sam’s response.
Sam’s face had scrunched up in confusion. “Tell who?”

“Hello squirrel, bit busy at the moment. Can this wait?” Crowleys voice echoed into the room, along with a painful scream in the background that was cut off with a loud slam of a heavy metal door.

Sam almost choked on his own spit. He threw his hand up and looked at you with a ‘WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME DO THIS’ face.

“Dean?” Crowley questioned.
You pressed your fingers to your smile and pointed to the phone with your other hand. ‘He’s waiting, loverboy.’ You mouthed back to Sam.
Sam rolled his eyes, dug his fingers into his forehead which disturbed his hair, and breathed out a sigh as he started to talk. “Uh-uh, it’s not Dean. It’s Sam.”

“Moose? Why have you got Dean’s phone? Has he gotten into trouble again?”

“No, no listen. I uh- I have something I need to tell you.”
Sam made the mistake of looking over at Dean, who had tears streaming down his pink face as he held in laughter. Sam punched him hard in the arm.

‘Ow!’ Dean mouthed and gestured to Sam whilst looking at you and Cas like he was out of line. Cas rubbed Dean’s arm thinking he was actually hurt, causing Dean to give him a flat look.
You hiccuped trying to stop yourself from cracking up, your shoulders shaking from the strain.

“Well go on then, I haven’t got all bloody day! Speak!”

If looks could kill, Sam would have pulverized you 10 times over. You kicked him in the shin to prompt him.

The room was silent. If this were the place for a tumbleweed to slowly roll past, it would be careening behind Sam right now. Everyone stared at the phone with bated breath, waiting for Crowley to say something.

“What?” Crowley’s hesitant voice rumbled out of the speaker.

“I uh- I-I-” Sam stuttered.

“No, don’t say it again!” and then Crowley was suddenly in the room, smacking Sam repeatedly over the head with a cloth covered in spots of dried blood.
“You can’t talk to the King of Hell like that, you bloody imbecile! My demons heard you say that! THEY HEARD YOU, SAMUEL!”

Sam raised his arms to shelter his face from the attack, Dean had dissolved into a giggling mess leaning his arm on an amused Cas, and you were cackling like a witch with wet cheeks.

“IT WAS A DARE CROWLEY I DIDN’T MEAN IT WILL YOU STOP HITTING ME!” Crowley paused his attack and looked at Sam with an incredulous look.

“It-it” you had to try and breathe for a second before you could cut in, “it was me!” you told Crowley.

You dared him to ring me up, and shout down the phone so all my loyal subjects could hear that he thinks about me when he’s getting cosy with himself in the shower!?” Crowley spat at you.

You sputtered out a snort and then cracked up again, nodding as much as you could as you lost control. Crowley turned to Sam to see him sitting with his arms crossed, a sour look on his face.
“And what do you get out of this?” he questioned and jabbed a finger into Sam’s shoulder.

Sam reached forward and placed the glass to his lips, drinking down the rest of the pint. He looked up at Crowley when he finished. “Half a beer.”

Crowley’s eyes were murderous for a split second before he closed them. When he opened them again he smiled disarmingly. “Well I hope it was worth it, Moose. I’ll be seeing you in your dreams.” He tapped Sam on the cheek before he disappeared.

Sam turned to look at you with his jaw on the ground. Cas spoke up. “Did he mean that he was going to visit you in your dreams? Why would he want to do that?” his eyebrows drew together and he looked at each of you for an answer. Dean slung an arm over his shoulder and held up his beer. “Sometimes Cassie, when you tell a boy you like him, he might not say it back, but might show you how he feels in different ways.” He jerked his beer in Sam’s direction and nodded jeeringly.

Sam smacked the beer out of his hand and it crashed to the floor, liquid spilling out on the wood. You opened your mouth and watched as Dean stared down at the mess.
He faced Sam with thinly veiled fury in his eyes.
“Jerk.” Sam shot back.

“Ookaayyy! Now we’re officially out of beer, I say we start on the whiskey.” You suggested, rising to go towards the trolley of glassware.
“I’m gonna get you back for this, Y/N. I want a rematch.” Sam turned around in his seat and pointed at you as you poured 4 glasses of whiskey out. Gripping two glasses between your pinched fingers in each hand you slid the glasses to each of them and sat back down.

“Try it, Sammy. Just think about what you’re willing to give up next time. I might not be so nice.” You gave him a feline smirk as you sipped the whiskey. The promise in Sam’s eyes was enough to make you long for the next rainy day.

She ran through the town, cool air nipping at her neck and arms. Her legs were strong, carrying her swiftly to the hole in the fence. She knew she should stop going, knew her every move was being watched now and forever. She didn’t need to hunt anymore, she had money, a house, food; but she needed it. Her soul needed it. She needed to be free, even for a few hours. The woods gave her that.

The forest had changed while she was away. It was a darker green now, with hues of orange and red threatening to overtake it all. Autumn was fully here, and soon, the snow would fall, blanketing the world in pure white.

Leaves crunched beneath her feet, making it harder to sneak up on her prey, but she wasn’t expecting to take a life today. She just wanted the fresh air, the open sky; wanted to watch the sunrise through the trees.

An Afternoon Swim

Could you do an imagine where reader is out hunting and it’s really hot out so she decides to take a dip in a stream. Not knowing that Daryl is out hunting and he stumbles upon her bathing. Maybe with a little smut. 😊

I know, I know. I’m the worst. It’s taken like, a week for me to post this. But I haven’t been sleeping well and I think I’ve caught YET ANOTHER COLD. My immune system was still compromised from the last one so another one could sneak in. I think I even had a fever the other night which was giving me the weirdest dreams. But anyways, I’m sorry if this isn’t my best work because I’m really not proud of how this one turned out. I owe you another one shot haha

NSFW: smut!

It was early in the morning when you and Rick were looking over the map while everyone else ate their breakfast around the campfire. Rick had the map spread out across the hood of one of their trucks while you studied it carefully. You were going hunting in the next few minutes but the woods were a large space and after Sophia’s disappearance, Rick was doing everything he could to ensure everyone’s safety.

“I think I’ll stick to this little area right here,” you said, circling the small area with your fingertip, “Around this lake and stream here. This way if I don’t find anything, I can always try and catch some fish. What do you think?”

“Sounds like a good idea,” Rick said, “As long as we have an idea where you are. If we’ve gotta send someone after you.”

You laughed, “When have you ever had to send someone after me? I’m a tough girl, Rick. I’ve got this. You won’t need to send anyone after me, alright? Okay?”

“Yeah, got it,” Rick chuckled, patting your shoulder, “Still gonna have Daryl around just in case.”

“He’s gonna be thrilled,” you said, “I’ll see ya.”

You gathered your things and started walking, passing by the campfire and waving good-bye to everyone sitting there. You passed by Daryl’s campsite which he’d set up far away from the others. He must’ve had a soft spot for you because you were the only one he allowed to come over to his camp and talk to him. Although, he was a complicated man because it seemed as though he liked you but he never showed it. He was so difficult to read.

“Hey,” Daryl called out as you walked by, “Where are you goin’?”

“Hunting,” you replied, “Rick and I narrowed it down to a little grid around this lake and stream. I shouldn’t be too hard to find. Rick seems to think that I’ll need back-up.”

Daryl smirked, “Never needed back-up before.”

“That’s what I said,” you replied. After a bit of laughter from the both of you, he gave you a nod and you gave him a small wave in return, “Well, I’ll be back in a little while. Hope I find something good.”

You continued, venturing into the woods. You were extremely lucky this morning. You managed to catch quite a bit of squirrels while only encountering one or two walkers. But, the two walkers left your clothes and body horrendously stained with blood, making you look like you’d just battled a large horde of walkers. And the sun beating down on you wasn’t helping even a little bit. You’d lived in Georgia all of your life but you would never get used to this heat. You could feel how slimy your toes were in your boots, sweat rolled down your back, and your hair clung to your forehead and some other strands stuck to the back of your neck.

Coming upon the lake you told Rick about, you knew it was time to turn around and head back. But the lake was so blue, so clear, and so peaceful. The trees hung over the lake like a canopy, leaving you with tons of shade and just staring at the water made you feel just slightly cooler. A few minutes in the lake wouldn’t hurt, would it?

You unbuttoned your flannel and took of your boots and jeans, leaving you in just your underwear and the tank top you’d put on underneath the flannel. Dipping your toe into the ice cold water, you shivered and grinned as you dove in, sighing in relief as you felt ten times more comfortable. You could never get over how relaxed you were already feeling. Could it get any better?

“Hey, Daryl,” Rick called out as he came towards the campfire. Daryl was sitting with the rest of the group eating lunch of canned beans and eggs that had been left over from breakfast. Rick leaned against the back of Daryl’s chair, “Y/N has been gone a long time. She said not to send anyone after her but…she’s not usually gone for this long. Think you could go and look for her? Make sure she’s alright?”

“Sure,” Daryl said, setting his plate down, “You’re right, she’s never gone this long. But she’s a tough kid, probably just had to take a different way back.”

“Just to be safe.”

“I know, I’m goin’.”

Daryl gathered some supplies, his crossbow and a gun just in case. The thought of something happening to you was actually terrifying to him but he could never let anyone in the group see his fears.

He remembered you mentioning the lake so he headed there. Your footprints were rather easy to find and they were fresh. You had just been through here. He was confident that you were alright and that brought a smile to his face.

Suddenly, he heard splashing coming from a few feet away. He loaded up his crossbow, ready for anything. What if a walker had gotten to you and you were fighting it off in that lake? It could’ve pulled you down under the water and could be devouring you while Daryl was coming to help. He could already be too late.

Daryl had never been so happy about being wrong. When he reached the clearing, he realized you were fine, just swimming leisurely. You had the most stunning smile he’d ever seen. And when you stood up, revealing a now see through shirt which clung to your curves and made his heart pound. He knew it was wrong to be watching you but he’d frozen, entranced by how lovely you were. He never really had a chance to take you all in as he knew you’d ask why he was staring.

Still, it was wrong to be watching you like this when you had no idea. He wouldn’t want to come across as creepy and make you feel uncomfortable. He walked out of the clearing, his boot snapping a twig as he approached the lake. You whipped your body around but quickly relaxed when you realized it was just Daryl.

“What’re you doing out here?” you asked.

“You were gone for a long time,” Daryl explained, leaning his crossbow against a tree next to your clothes, “Rick had me come out here and find you, make sure you weren’t dead.”

“Shit, I hadn’t realized how long I was out here,” you said. Daryl sat down by the lake, hugging his knees to his chest as he watched you swim around. You stopped, floating there in the middle of the lake staring at Daryl, “Wanna join me?”

“I dunno,” Daryl mumbled, shrugging his shoulders.

“Oh come on,” you persisted. You sent a small wave of water his way which splashed onto his shoes. He kicked his shoes off and peeled off his now wet socks. Giggling, you slicked back your hair, “Sorry. Just come in with me, Daryl. Have a little fun.”

“If you’re gonna get me all wet, might as well,” Daryl grumbled, sliding his vest off his shoulders. You paused as he unbuttoned his shirt, swallowing hard as he opened his opened his shirt and tossed it aside, revealing a firm, tanned torso. You took a deep breath, knowing you had to control yourself despite how difficult it would be. Daryl barely tolerated a simple touch on the shoulder.

Once Daryl was down to his boxers, he slid into the water but he made no move towards you. He just floated there, splashing some water onto his face. You smiled and slowly swam towards him, “See? Feels nice doesn’t it?”

“Guess you’re right,” Daryl said.

“Well come on,” you said, grabbing his wrists and pulling him further out into the lake, “We’re fine. You can swim, can’t you?”

“Yeah,” Daryl grunted, “I know how to swim.”

“Then swim with me,” you said, spinning the two of you around in circles. Daryl was tense and his eyes were darting around uncomfortably but he allowed you to continue anyways. A part of him was enjoying the lighthearted moment between you two but he couldn’t bring himself to show it.

Over the next hour or so, Daryl started loosening up and you finally got a smile out of him as you swam around together, splashing around and laughing, probably making more noise than you should have. But for a moment, you both forgot that it was the end of the world and that there were walkers crawling around like cockroaches all over the place. And it was nice to forget even if it was just for a little while.

“This has been such a nice afternoon,” you said, “I hope we’re not worrying the others.”

“Nah,” Daryl said, “Haven’t been gone long enough. We’re fine.”

Daryl climbed out of the lake but kept his feet in the water, the sun warming his cold, shivering body. You swam to the edge, climbing halfway out of the water, leaning on your elbows. It gave Daryl a clear view down your tank top, which wasn’t hard to begin with since it was a white tank top and it was still wet.

You’d be lying if you said that you weren’t totally aware of your position in front of Daryl. You knew the tank top was see through and you knew that leaning over would show more than you normally would have. But seeing him like this, the sunlight making his wet body glisten and the way water dripped from the ends of his short hair made it even harder to keep it together. You just wanted him to ache as much as you did.

“What’re we doin’?” Daryl finally asked after several minutes of silence.

“Was I that obvious?” you chuckled.

“Ya ain’t exactly subtle,” Daryl replied.

You sighed, hanging your head, “It’s just been a while. But you make me so crazy, Daryl.”

“What’d I do?”

“Absolutely nothing,” you retorted, lifting your head. You reached out and touched his hand, “You’re not even trying. You make me go insane and you’re not even trying. And I’m over here trying my very hardest.”

“Well,” Daryl muttered, clearing his throat as he looked up at the sky, “It’s working.”

“Huh?” you frowned, “It’s working?”

Daryl nodded, “I didn’t wanna say anything but…you said it first.”

“You ache as badly as I do right now?”

He nodded again. You slowly lifted yourself out of the water and sat on your knees next to him. Daryl still wouldn’t look out you, but his chest was rising and falling a little quicker. His heart was racing and warmth spread through his body.

“Well, we’re all alone out here,” you cooed, running your hands up his chest. Leaning in, you placed a kiss on his cheek, “Before we have to go back.”

Daryl finally turned to look at you, his eyelids heavy and his blue eyes darkening with lust you’d never seen before. He was never one to initiate any kind of contact so needless to say, it was a shock when he slammed his lips down on yours. You struggled to keep up with him as his hands explored your body. He groaned as your own hands wandered, reaching the waistband of his boxers.

“Y/N,” he grunted, cupping your breasts in his large hands. You kissed him harder as your hand slipped underneath his boxers. He buried his face in your neck as you took him in your hand, sliding up and down his shaft. A few whimpers escaped his lips, his hands freezing in place, too lost in the pleasure to remember what he was doing, “Y/N.”

You loved the way your name sounded from his mouth. He was so vulnerable under your touch, trembling a little. You picked up a little speed and his breathing became heavier. He grabbed your wrist to stop you as his other hand pushed you until you were laying on your back, “Keep goin’ like that and this’ll be over before we can even start.”

You giggled as you pushed his boxers down off his hips while he peeled your soaked tank top off your body, throwing it away without looking where it landed. As he pulled your underwear down, he kissed down your stomach, making your heart race with anticipation. You felt his warm tongue on your skin and you gasped, arching your back a little. Daryl pushed your hips back down as he spread your legs. You propped yourself up onto your elbows, watching as he kissed your inner thighs. He moved to your core agonizingly slow. Once he finally reached it, your elbows weakened and you fell back onto the ground as his tongue swirled around your clit, his thick fingers suddenly sliding inside of you. Rolling your hips, you moaned and groaned and dug your nails into the dirt.

His expert tongue and fingers filled you with intense pleasure and it was everything in you not to get loud. Daryl groaned against you, the vibrations sending you into a frenzy. He progressively sped up and just as you were about to reach your climax, he stopped and pulled away. It was almost painful to be cut short like that and you whined and moaned.

“Daryl!” you panted, “What the hell are you doing?!”

Daryl scooted closer to you, running his hands up and down your thighs and swiftly wrapping your legs around his waist, “Relax, we ain’t done yet.”

A sigh of relief fell from your lips as he thrust into you, filling you completely. His brow crinkled in concentration, licking his lips as he slowly thrust in and out. He held tightly onto your hips, his fingers pressed into your flesh while you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, your nails raking down his back.

The pleasure was intense and everything surrounding the two of you was hazy. You were so lost in the moment, a horde of walkers could come crashing through and you probably wouldn’t have noticed. You loved Daryl and you loved the way he made you feel, the way he stared into your eyes, the way he kissed you. It was all so perfect.

The pressure built up in your body once more and this time Daryl didn’t stop it. The way your walls squeezed him, he knew you were close and he sped up, your core on fire as you exploded. You brought Daryl’s body down onto yours, his chest pressed against you as you curled your toes and whimpered into his shoulder. You refused to let go of him as you rode out your high, allowing him to finish too.

“Shit,” he panted. He looked around, most likely expecting walkers to start popping up with all the noise he realized the two of you had been making. It seemed he was oblivious to his surroundings as you had been.

“You’re amazing,” you said, kissing his cheek, “Think we’ve worried the group enough?”

“Probably,” Daryl grunted. He rolled off of you but grabbed your hand when you attempted to sit up, “Wait, we don’t gotta go back yet. Let them worry.”

You laughed, “What if someone comes looking for us?”

“They won’t,” Daryl said, wrapping his arm around your waist, “I just don’t wanna go back yet. Just a little while longer?”

You nodded and rested your head on Daryl’s chest, soothed by the sound of his heart beating in your ear and the water rushing through the stream nearby. Leaves, grass, and mud stuck to the two of you but you didn’t care. It was still possible that Rick could send someone to look for the two of you but you didn’t care about that either. You were content lying with this man forever.

"Hello!" the squirrel waves a friendly hand.

Thiccy looked down at the unknown person, but he immediately saw that it was a female squirrel. Thiccy smiled a bit while waving his hand back in a friendly manner. “Hello there.” He said while looking down at the lady.
