Pench National Park - India
Deriving its name from the river that flows through its centre, Pench National Park is located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. As well as being famous for river rafting, it is an established tiger reserve. The park was the inspiration and setting for Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. It was also featured in the David Attenborough documentary series Tiger: Spy in the Jungle.
Bengal tigers are the main cat species that call the park home. Other animals in the park include jackals, leopards, sloth bear, wolf, monkey, and deer.
