A good friend (Lucifer X Reader!Platonic)

Summary: Lucifer had been freed from hell and the both of you happened to become best friends.
It started when you were just walking out of a coffee shop and bumped into someone and as cliche, as it sounds, it sparked something. It didn’t spark a romantic relationship, but a platonic one. You both just happened to get along so well. He had a great sense of humor which you loved. He would always get you both into trouble, and he would somehow manage to get you both out of trouble too. He was like your partner in crime.
He also had a tendency to ask really stupid questions for comedic effect. Like this one time, you were both sitting on a park bench in front of a local elementary school. Luci looked over at you before leaning in.
“What’s the word for the infestation of tiny creatures over there again?” He asked looking back over at the school in confusion.
“Luci, those are children first of all. Secondly, That’s called a school.” You explained.
“Oh. Right. I knew that. I was just seeing if you remembered.” He muttered.
You shook your head and burst out in laughter. “For someone who is older than pretty much everyone around, you sure are stupid sometimes.” You laughed and playfully pushed him.
His lips broke out into a smile. “Guess I’m a little rusty.” He laughed.
Then there was this other time when he found Sam and Dean’s motel room and zapped you both in there. The boys, who you had recently learned about, were gone. Luci took this opportunity to mess with them. You would think that he was the trickster angel, but that was his brother. He mentioned Gabriel once or twice, but he wasn’t too fond of talking about his past. You didn’t try to push it.
Lucifer thought, even though you advised against it, that putting hair coloring into Sam’s shampoo would be a great joke. You finally agreed to help, once he explained that it would wash out in about a month or two.
You watched as Lucifer sneakily pours the bright red hair coloring into his shampoo bottle. You guys heard the brothers unlocking their motel door and Lucifer zapped you both out of there. You were both now standing behind their motel room and began listening for the shower to turn on. Soon enough, the shower started running. You both stood there, waiting until the shower turned off. A scream following soon after.
“Gabriel!” He screamed.
“Oh shit,” Lucifer muttered. “That was the wrong brother. I think Dean has the red hair now.” He began laughing, which caused you to laugh.
It was little moments like this that you enjoyed the most. He was your best friend. It took him about a week or two before he ever opened up and told you who he really was. You weren’t surprised. For some odd reason, you just accepted it. He was your best friend and you knew he wouldn’t hurt you. You knew you didn’t have a reason to be afraid. You’ve never met anyone who was as great of a friend as Lucifer was. There was this time, about 5 days, where he disappeared. You tried praying to him to see if that would work, but it didn’t seem to.
You started to assume that he just left you like you were nothing. It wasn’t until one morning, at like 1 am. You rolled over in bed to see him staring back at you. Literally about 3 inches from your face. You screamed, of course, and jumped up. You then realized who was laying there and threw a pillow at him.
“Lucifer! You scared the hell out of me!” You yelled. You sighed before throwing another pillow at him. “That’s for leaving me. Speaking of, where the hell did you go?” You asked.
“I had to take care of last-minute business, but I am back.” He explained.
“Next time that happens, tell me.” You pointed your finger at him.
He held his hands up in defense, “Yes, boss.”
No matter what got in the way, he would always come back to you. He was your best friend. You were best friends with Lucifer. How did you not see that coming?
