Daemonolatry Goetia (S Connolly)
Seek Paimon to understand alchemy.  Seek Paimon for creative pursuits or to design a plan of action.  Paimon can also help in emotional understanding.

Crowley’s Goetia
The Ninth Spirit in  this Order is  Paimon,  a  Great  King,  and very obedient unto  LUCIFER.  He  appears  in  the  form  of  a  man sitting  upon  a’ dromedary with  a  most glorious crown upon  his head. Before him march an host of Spirits, like men with trumpets and cymbals,  and all other sorts of musical  instruments.  He has a great  voice,  and  roars  at his  first  coming,  and his  speech  is  such that  the Magician will  not  be  able  to understand him unless compelled.  He  can  teach  all  arts  and sciences, and other secret things. He can reveal to you what the Earth is, and what holds it up in the Waters; and what mind is, and where it is; or any other thing you may desire to know. He gives Dignity, and confirms the same.  He  binds  or  makes  any  man subject unto  the Magician if  he  so desire it. He gives good Familiars,  who can teach all arts. He is to be observed towards the West.  He   is of the Order of Dominations.(Dominions)  He  has under him  200 Legions of Spirits, and part of them are of the Order of Angels, and the other part  of Potentates. Now  if you call  this  Spirit  Paimon  alone,  you must make him some offering; and there will attend him two Kings called LABAL and ABALIM, and also other Spirits who are of the Order of Potentates  in his Host, and 25 Legions. And those Spirits who  are subject unto  them  are  not  always  with  them  unless  the Magician compels them.

Luciferian Goetia (Michael Ford)
Paimon is an angel-daimon of Lucifer, whom appears as a man crowned upon a camel. This spirit is a familiar of musick, thus by invoking Paimon one may work through an avenue of self-initiation through creating musick. Paimon is a powerful Angelick King of the Witchcraft, whom has 200 Legions of spirits –half are the Orders of Angels, the others being Potentates. Paimon appears with two Spirit/Djinn – Label and Ablim who are referred to as Kings.  Paimon is perhaps one of the most significant Angelick Rulers, which along with Astaroth (whom is more bestial/demonic in nature and appearance) opens the way to the “Grail” of Lucifer’s crown – the perception of “I” and the mind separate from the universe. Paimon is a higher spirit of self-initiation, who is a path maker for ones own becoming. Paimon sometimes appears as an angelick spirit with a flaming sword. His office is Guardian of the Path through Leviathan, the Guardian of the Depths and Subconscious

But I’m not ready to be a parent! *faints* W-what? Oh! They’re not canon? Phew! That’s a relief! ~ Spirit Roots

Completed Crackships Babies! (NONE OF THESE ARE CANON! THEY ARE JUST FOR FUN). (Some of the mentioned blogs may have NSFW material)

So here they are, the completed Crackship Babies. (Note: parent reference pics came from their respective owners blogs. I do not take credit for drawing those.)

I wanted to try something a little different from usual on them so, if you think they look different from my normal style, that is why.

Thank you to everyone involved and I hope you enjoy them. :)

In order from top to bottom For those who are curious, I’m also going to include what was going through my head as I created them:

Ephraim: Child of Oswald ( @nemovonsilver ) and Jeff ( @askthe-twistedking ). Requested by @chance-of-chaos. Like Oswald, he is a bit baby faced. He is also on the smaller side. He has a habit of picking on and teasing people he likes. He likes to sew, particularly making little plushies, but is easily embarrassed by them. He usually covers his embarrassment with faked confidence and cockiness.

Poison Oak: Child of the Wendigo Mare ( @greaserparty ) and Acid Poison ( @loulouvely ). Requested by @gowak. Whenever I looked at the wendigo mare, I couldn’t help but feel like she was kind of sad. I don’t know something about the eyes probably why I be an easy meal for her. I’m also not sure the direction loulouvely is going with Acid Poison’s cannibalism. Poison Oak struggles with her feelings on her cannibalism. She is usually quiet and isolates herself from others, but she is quite foul mouthed when she speaks, something she probably picked up from Acid. She intentionally doesn’t have a cutiemark because she is struggling with who she is and what she wants.

Alto Cornet: Child of Merciful Melody ( @chance-of-chaos ) and Spirit Roots (mine). Alto Cornet is very musically talented. She learned singing from Merciful Melody, trumpet from Spirit Roots, and learned piano as her own instrument. She can be quite shy, but this seems to completely disappear when she performs. She often twirls her hair around her hooves.

Endnote: Child of Airhead ( @airheadlibrary ) and Spirit Roots (mine). Endnote is very studious and well read not surprising with a librarian parent and a teacher parent. He almost always has some interesting fact or statistic to add to any conversation. He can be a bit scatterbrained from time to time, misplacing things. He likes to write research papers on almost any subject.

Meet Tyler Hixon.

Tyler is 18 years old and is from Atlantic Beach, Florida.

This is Tyler’s second year with the corps.

Tyler has been playing the trumpet since he entered middle school in the 6th grade. He has continued to play trumpet all four years while attending Fletcher High School.

When asked his favorite memory of the corps, he explained the story of the first time everyone in the hornline poured their hearts into the ballad in 2014.  Tyler said, “ Uncle Chris kept pushing us and pushing us to put more emotion into it and when we finally did, everyone in the hornline, including myself, was in tears”.

Tyler said he picked Spirit with the help of a staff member who marched Spirit in 2013. The staff member suggested he audition. When Tyler left his first audition, he said he knew Spirit was the place for him.

Favorite Spirit Quote: “We know you’re tired, sore, burnt….nobody cares”. –Everyone on staff.

Follow Spirit of Atlanta for more Member Mondays and updates from the corps throughout the season!

I've been thinking lately: We always talk about Natsu being the chosen one and his destiny, but I get the feeling Lucy also has a destiny to fullfill. What got me thinking was that all major events/developments in FT seem to kick off from when she joined the guild. Of course that's just storytelling, but it seems to be more than that, because I can't see things going down the way they did without Lucy as catalyst. Also she's become more and more important and then there's "the day of (cont)

(cont) fateful encounter” special that marks Natsu and her meeting as important and destined. It would make sense for the other main character to have a destiny as well, right? Do you think I’m on to something?

Yes! I do think Lucy has her own destiny. It’s not as clearly stated as Natsu’s role, but I’ve been feeling this way since Tenrou, and here’s why:

Master Hades spoke of the Seven Kin as wizards he’d trained for years to use magic closest to the source of all magic. Natsu’s counterpart was Zancrow the fire god slayer, but one of the Kin was Zoldeo, a Celestial Spirit mage who’d fused with a Celestial Spirit owned by Lucy’s mother, Layla.

So, Celestial Spirit magic is close to the source of all magic, huh? My spidey senses are tingling.

Not only that, but when Hades spoke of the One Magic (the aforementioned source of magic), Lucy remembered that she had heard about it from her mother. Yep: Layla Heartfilia knew about this One Magic, the same magic that Zeref had been able to access.

That Layla was not a run-of-the-mill mage, that’s for sure!

So, with my radar still on high alert, we come to after the timeskip. In the anime-only KoSS arc, Mashima rids the world of most of its Celestial Spirit mages. By the time the GMG begin, the only two active C.S. mages left (probably) are Lucy and Yukino.

There are more of the supposedly super-rare dragon slayers than there are Celestial Spirit mages at this point!

And in the Eclipse part of the GMG arc, we learn that the Eclipse gates are magic from a book of Zeref, powered by—cue the trumpets—Celestial Spirit magic. Eclipse enables time travel, ie: if there’s funky timey-wimey stuff going on, there’s a good chance Celestial Spirit magic might be involved. (Ultear’s arc of time being the other type of magic you could consider a possibility. Except now Ultear’s left the storyline.)

In one of his discarded notes for the GMG arc, Mashima had doodled a scene with Lucy kneeling before Zeref, or something similar like that. That he had planned a significant interaction between those two characters, even if he didn’t use it that time, is telling.

And so we come to Tartaros. The elite of Tartaros, created from the books of Zeref, are the Nine Demon Gates. They have contracts with Marde, so that when they die, they regenerate in Hell’s Core. Hmm, sounds an awful lot like Celestial Spirits returning to the C.S. realm when they get hurt, right?

The demons are also known as Etherious, which I’m *guessing* is from classical mythology. The aether/ether was thought to be a different kind of air that filled the universe, different from the air we on earth breathe. I think this is another clue, linking the demons to the Celestial Spirits, who also inhabit another realm.

Again, Zeref’s the one who created these Etherious. I wonder if he used Celestial Spirits as templates for his demons? If Celestial Spirits are naturally occurring, did he twist the One Magic—the One Magic that Lucy’s mother told her was love—in order to create demons that are biological weapons? And no matter how evil the demons are, they are motivated by love of Zeref. They’re like abandoned children trying to return to their father figure. If they’re made out of the One Magic, you can still see glimmers of that love in them.

Marde and the Celestial Spirit King also know each other. The C.S. King remarked that Marde was STILL toting the book of E.N.D. around, even after all this time.

And now Marde is aware that one of the FT mages is a summoner capable of calling the Celestial Spirit King himself.

That has me feeling nervous for Lucy.

So yes, all signs indicate to me that Lucy also has a destiny. Fairy Tail began with Natsu and Lucy meeting, working together, growing as friends. And while it’s fitting that Natsu’s backstory and development finally take precedence, I think Lucy is going to have a crucial role to play in helping him deal with Zeref’s legacy. They are a great team after all!
