Re: winning...jezabelles, dj's and other things.
Wednesday served up a double-win for me & the @Rockcreeksocial family! Peep the highlights, “We won!”
The day started with a “Flash Mob Street Fashion Show” coordinated by the homey Domo (see; talented shoe designer) another RCSC cohort. The 1st Impressions team was on hand to capture the moment. The models rocked Domo’s signature line of “Jezabelle” custom heels in and around DuPont Circle NW, DC.
The models were wonderful and the shoes were even more beautiful, a lunch hour well spent!
Next up was the Red Bull Thre3style DJ Battle! Modi cooked up something at Howard Theatre w/ those good folks and put the squad down! Plus Spinser Tracy was battling for the title and DJ Spicoli was opening!
Peep the button…gotta support! (Too bad I didn’t wear my Spinser tee)
Spicoli kinda bodied it! The competing DJ’s were complaining due to the heat from his tables..ha! Oh well…
Gettin kinda hectic.
Crazy right!? Anyway this was the Spinser Tracy show!
Somehow I ended up with that tee! It was only right to go Taliban style and assist the Spinser Tracy led attack on the Howard Theatre! Here'e what Complex.com had to say…
"After jumping his set off with Rare Essence’s Go-Go classic “Overnight Scenario,” Spinser Tracy had the whole building rockin’ along with him by the time he spun NWA’s “Express Yourself.” Just when he had the crowd in the palm of his hands, he dropped Future’s “Same Damn Time” and hopped into the madness to party with them—crowd participation squared…“
Oh well…it was all worth it..after some HAM going our boy took home the prize! Congrats Spinser Tracy we love you!
”…a shocked Spinser Tracy was victorious. With less than three years of experience in the DJ booth, he offered the most genuine response to his win: “How the FUCK did I win this shit?” Gotta love that honesty.“ - Complex.com, Julian Kimble
Oh and don’t forget Mayer Hawthorne closed out the show!
This is Rock Creek *Motherfuck!n* Social Club and WE WON!
