Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sukiyaki beef, egg yolk, green onion, sweet onion and Fresno chilli pepper. The noodles have a nice chewiness to them and seem to have a fresher kind of feel than many. They have a slight crumbliness. The broth has a nice spicy vegetable flavor. The solid ingredients hydrated pretty well. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 8801114119068.

A Day at Tuscany! <3

I discovered this place through one of my friend’s Facebook posts. Judging from the title of her post, the interiors of the place & the menu, I thought my friend had really went to Tuscany in Italy!

However, after doing some research, I found out that this place is actually more accessible than I thought and it has actually received quite a number of good reviews from various food bloggers, including one of my favorites - Anton of Our Awesome Planet. I was so excited to try this place out and we finally had the chance to drop by for lunch one Sunday!

Nestled between Tagaytay and Cavite, Marcia Adam’s Tuscany still remains relatively unknown to a lot of people. This is probably because the restaurant doesn’t have a signboard. The easiest landmark leading to this place would have to be its wooden door against a yellow orange wall. However, the actual entrance is at the pathway on the left of this door.

It’s a really quaint and charming place which reminds me of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s Secret Garden. It was drizzling when we went, so the air was cool and the garden was misty, but it only added to the ethereal feel of the entire place.

Reservations have to be made in advance because the place can only accomodate a certain number of people.

An average meal at Tuscany would be within the Php 700.00 range. This includes an appetizer (a choice between the Soup of the Day or Prawns) and Dessert. We chose to have the prawns which was really good!

For our main course, I was choosing between the Grilled Aromatic Pork (because most food bloggers featured this particular dish) and the Spanish Chicken Casserole. However, since I favor chicken more than pork, I decided to go with the latter.

My Chicken Casserole didn’t really turn out the way I expected it to be. I was expecting something more “solid” which would resemble lasagna but what I got instead was something more of a stew.

It was pretty tasty though, but it made me wonder if I should have went for the Aromatic pork instead.

Le boyfriend ordered an octopus dish which I liked more than my own order!

For dessert, I chose the panna cotta with lemon sauce. The panna cotta was really smooth and soft and the sauce was a bit on the sour side, which I liked!

Overall, I had an enjoyable time in Tuscany! I love quaint little places like these and I actually dream of having my own little garden/cafe sometime in the future!

The next time you’re planning a trip to Tagaytay, I suggest that you try this place out! It’s a great alternative to Sonya’s Garden. The price points are not that far from each other. Although it is “eat all you can” in Sonya’s, Tuscany has a less “commercialized” feel to it. :)
