spell please

In all seriousness, yeah Bastille didn’t win an award, but that will never invalidate their hardwork. They’re still continuing with their day and look forward to seeing their fans. Even if they are slightly saddened, we should just continue to show them our support and love for them/their work! We should always let them know that we appreciate them for what they do!

cryptrat said I would love to see Corpse Dance printed in red. Maro:Me too, except without the graveyard order mattering part. Before we start giving red instant speed cheap playable reanimation spells, can we please let black have them back? Rise from the grave isn't competitive standard playable.

I was talking about the effect not the power level/cost.

Simple Water Spell to Dispel Anxiety

Really, it will dispel whatever you need it to.

Materials

  • A large shell capable of holding water (can be subsituted for a bowl, though shell is recommended)
  • A glass of water

  • Black salt

Performance

  • Pour a bit of black salt into your left hand. Once you have, take a moment to hold it and close your eyes, slowing your breath and visualizing that whatever anxious thoughts you might have are rough water, splashing and crashing inside of you.
  • Visualize that the rough water is flowing from your head down into your chest and up into your left hand, leaving behind only stillness and peace where it once was. Feel that energy be drawn into the salt that you hold.
  • Open your eyes and hold your left hand over the shell. With your right hand, pick up the glass of water and pour it over the salt, letting it wash off of your hand and into the shell. Continue to pour the water until no salt or black stain is on your hand.
  • Look down into the dark water inside of the shell and feel that all of your anxiety is contained within it. It is separated from you, leaving you a feeling of pleasant stillness.
  • Take a few breaths to relax yourself further, focusing on that feeling of peace.
  • Dispose of the water (preferably down a drain or somewhere where it won’t harm any plants).
  • Repeat as needed.

hekate · goddess of magic and witchcraft

Hekate was the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. She was the only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea. Hekate assisted Demeter in her search for Persephone, guiding her through the night with flaming torches. After the mother-daughter reunion became she Persephone’s minister and companion in Haides. Hekate was usually depicted in Greek vase painting as a woman holding twin torches. Sometimes she was dressed in a knee-length maiden’s skirt and hunting boots, much like Artemis. In statuary Hekate was often depicted in triple form as a goddess of crossroads.

I HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT ANY AND EVERY POSSIBLY JEWISH CHARACTER. but i gotta tell u that holster is jewish and the only thing he knows how to make are latkes. that's it. all he can cook is make latkes. but he teams up with bitty (who got his recipe for matzoh ball soup from online, but it's ok as long as bitty made it it'll be good) and on the first night of hanukkah they make dinner for the haus (+ cait, nurseydex, etc.) & holster skypes w/ his family when they light the menorah @ home it's great

you saying that it’s the only thing he knows how to make is making me picture holster’s dinner night at the haus. like every week it’s his day to make dinner and everyone’s just like, whelp, it’s latke time. someone asks him if he’s ever thought of learning how to make something else, he just stares at them for a minute.

what’s his opinion on applesauce v sour cream though?

eris · goddess of chaos, strife and discord

Eris was the Greek goddess of chaos, strife and discord. She was the daughter of Zeus and Hera; according to other myths, she was the daughter of Nyx (dark night) alone. Eris played an important role in the events that eventually led to the Trojan War. All of the Olympians had been invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, who would become the parents of Achilles; however, Eris was not invited, due to her inclination to cause discord. As a means of revenge, Eris dropped the golden Apple of Discord into the party, which had the words To The Fairest One inscribed on it. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite started quarreling over who the apple should be given to, so Zeus appointed Paris, Prince of Troy, as the person to solve the dispute. The goddesses offered Paris various gifts, but he eventually picked Aphrodite, who promised him the most beautiful woman in the world; Helen, wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta.

((Alright I’m curious.  Just what do you think that first spell Newt used on Jacob was, in the bank?  ‘Accio Muggle’?  He would have been dogpiled by everyone in range.  How in the world do you Accio ‘that dude over there’?  And it’s supposed to be very difficult to summon living things, so did he just summon his clothes and hope the muggle wearing them would come along for the ride?  Because that seems awkward on many levels.

And yes, it could have been the egg!  But you’d think it would fly out of his hand, if that was the case.  Could be though!))

dionysus · god of wine and the grape harvest

Dionysus was the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness, religious ecstasy and theatre. He may have been worshipped as early as 1500-100BC by Mycenean Greeks according to very old scripts inscribed with his name. Earlier images and descriptions of Dionysus depict him as a mature male, bearded and robed holding a fennel staff tipped with a pine-cone. However, in later images the god is show to be a beardless, sensuous, naked or semi-naked androgynous youth. He is described in literature as womanly or “man-womanish”.
