sparks and lightning

That's Not So Different

@lovelylangst, I saw your idea that Voltron is hit by a spell by Haggar that makes them all revert to their original languages and I loved it so much I made a fic out of it.
I don’t know if you like your ideas being written out, so if you don’t, tell me and I’ll take it down.
Also, I kinda changed the idea a bit, so basically Pidge is perceptive and Allura is an oblivious bastard.

I don’t usually write ff alright.

Word count - 2000+

Pidge stumbled out of her lion, her bayard clasped to her chest, wheezing. Her voicebox felt like it had been clapped in hot iron, and black lightning sparked painfully from her armour where Haggar’s spell had struck Voltron. It had lanced all the way through the metal, and Pidge had heard Hunk whimper in pain.

Keith was sliding down Red’s leg. Some of his armour was shattered - no doubt from the hit - and his helmet was off. Sweat stuck to his forehead. His violet eyes were wide, and full of fear. He didn’t seem to want to look at her.

Hunk and Lance were nowhere to be seen - hiding out still in their lions, probably, like a mouse from a cat’s claws. Shiro eased himself out of his lion’s mouth. His helmet was off, too, but he looked unhurt. Voltron hadn’t won - but they’d escaped. For now, they were safe.

“Shiro! Pidge!” Allura came sprinting up to the hangar, her silvery hair flying behind her - she hadn’t bothered to tie it up. Coran was running behind her. “Lance!”

“He’s… He’s still in his lion, Coran,” stammered Pidge. “Oh, God, that was a hit… I feel all weak.”

“It must have been the komar,” deduced Coran, his hands a flurry at the scanner. “That spell Haggar devised. Do you feel like you’re going to pass out? Are you hurt?”

Pidge shook her head, shakily. “No,” she muttered. “I’m f-fine. Just shaken.”

“Keith? Shiro?” asked Allura. Her eyes were wide. “Are you hurt?”

Keith shook his head. Shiro opened his mouth to say something, but Keith, swift as a whip, stuck his hand over Shiro’s jaw. Shiro glared at him, and pulled his arm away.

“Shiro -”

There was something different about Keith’s voice.

It seemed more accented, sounding a little like Shiro’s when he mumbled to himself in Japanese. Keith didn’t seem eager to say much. He had deactivated his bayard, and was staring at it like he’d lost purpose. Pidge felt a rush of fear, down to her toes. Something was different, and if Keith was acting on it, then something was not only different, it was wrong.

“Kīsu, sore o yame nasai -”

Shiro clamped a hand over his mouth.

Pidge glanced at him, curiously. “Shiro?”

Shiro’s eyes had gone terrified. His cheeks were pale as chalk.

“Shiro?!” Allura sounded scared, her hands tugging at her hair in apprehension. “What’s happened? What was that?”

“Japanese,” Pidge said, exchanging a look with Keith. “Shiro, are you okay? You look -”

She wanted to say like death, but she felt like it might be considered a bit too rude and out of place, seeing as they had just nearly died anyway. Shiro looked like he was going to throw up. Keith, standing beside Shiro, put his arm on Shiro’s shoulder, and led him away without a word.

“What’s going on?” spluttered Coran. He was tapping at the blue lion’s leg with his communicator. “The lions are running, but Hunk’s been knocked out and Lance just won’t leave his! What’s wrong?”

“I think,” said Pidge slowly, “that something is different.”

Slav came running in, just as the blue lion’s jaw opened. The noodle alien paused, his eyes round.

“Oh, so you survived,” he said. “The probability of that was highly unlikely. Are you sure you’re alive?”

“Yes, Slav,” muttered Pidge. “Go do something else now.”

Slav didn’t move. He twisted a whisker like tendril around his mouth with his top pair of arms, like the way Coran did.

Footsteps tapped behind her, and Pidge looked back.

Lance limped towards them, taking off his shattered helmet. One eye was bruised and puffy. His knee trembled under his body weight.

“Lance!” Pidge ran up to him, but before she reached him, he collapsed, smudging blood on the floor. Allura gasped, and ran to join Pidge beside him.

Lance’s body was battered with bruises. His eyes were closed, one swollen with blood and purple. His armour was a mess, but at least he was breathing.

“Is he okay?” Allura whispered.

“I think so,” Pidge confirmed. She took off her glasses and pressed the lens to Lance’s bruise to test the severity. While she did that, Coran helped a very dazed Hunk out of his lion. He looked confused, but unhurt. Better than Lance and Shiro, at least.

“Why was Shiro speaking Japanese?” Allura asked, in an offhand voice. Pidge looked up.

“Native language,” she shrugged. “People tend to switch to their native language when they’re shocked.”

“Really?” Allura sounded interested. “What’s yours?”

“Sarcasm.”

Allura sighed. “English, right?”

“Yeah,” Pidge admitted, looking a little guilty.

-

“How’s Lance?” Pidge asked.

Coran was standing by the healing pod, twisting his moustache. He started when Pidge spoke.

“Pidge! Oh, you scared me!” He wiped his forehead. “He’s alright. He wasn’t badly injured. An hour more, and he should be raring to go!”

“Right, thanks.”

Coran eyed her.

“How is Shiro?”

Pidge sighed. “Still in shock. Babbling to Keith in Japanese. Clear to God Keith doesn’t understand a word of it.”

“Oh, really?” Coran looked interested. “Had Keith spoken yet?”

“No…” Pidge suddenly realised where Coran was coming from, and a jolt of horror shook her. “No, Coran. That doesn’t happen to us. Besides, neither Keith nor Lance have spoken, and they have English as their first language.”

“Not Keith,” said Coran. “His family - ignoring the Galra side - come from Korea. They moved to Texas before he was born.”

“Fine, Lance then.”

Coran glanced at her, before saying, in a controlled voice:

“Druid magic is capable of many things, Pidge.”

Pidge shrugged.

“It’s different, certainly.”

-

“So, you’re saying…” Allura tapped her nails on the table. Around her, sat Pidge, Coran, and Slav.

“Yes, princess,” said Coran, not needing the question to be finished. “Earthlings have many languages. It’s totally possible.”

“That’s true,” admitted Slav. He fiddled with his fingers, his beaklike mouth quivering.

“Admittedly,” Allura said, “you could be right. But then why is Lance not speaking? He speaks English, doesn’t he?”

“Yes, princess,” said Pidge. “That, I don’t get. He’s biracial, Cuban-American… Maybe he speaks Spanish.”

Allura snorted. “Trying to get attention, more like.”

“Hey!” Pidge retorted. “Lance isn’t like that! Don’t go like that! When he’s breaking like that, it’s dangerous!”

“Pidge, he’s like that every day!” Allura complained. She looked away from Pidge’s angry face into Coran’s concerned one. “So, I chase down Lance, and then we wait for the magic to wear off?”

“If it wears off.”

Pidge glared at Slav. “You know, for someone who’s always complaining about the odds, your pessimism doesn’t exactly help.”

“It doesn’t?”

Pidge fought the urge to throw Slav out the airlock.

“Princess, your idea of ‘chasing down Lance’ doesn’t seem to work in my mind,” Coran fretted. “He’s earned some rest.”

“Which he has now had!”

Coran sighed.

“Y'know, Princess,” Pidge said, trying to relieve some tension, “maybe I should just go get Lance.”

“No,” said Allura, standing up, and brushing her hair behind her in a determined fashion. “He won’t take it seriously if you deliver it. I will.”

And before anyone could say anything, Allura left, shutting the door behind her.

-

“Lance?”

Her fingers stung underneath the icy feel of the doorframe. The sky-blue light swept over the stooped figure hiding in the corner. Cloaked in an olive jacket.

“Lance?” Allura stepped cautiously forward, before gasping, and taking a few hesitant steps back.

Lance was crying.

The blue paladin sat hunched, her forehead on his knees and his tan hands wrapped over his face. Tears glittered on his hands like liquid diamond, rasping unintelligible words to the floor.

“Lance!” Allura said, for the third time, but now her voice filled with panic. She didn’t know why - Lance had always irritated her, even after he had stopped his stupid flirting game - but the Lance in front of her looked like the last kind of person to flirt with a princess. What she could see of the gleam of his blue eyes he was raw with sadness.

“Oh, my god,” Allura whispered. Lance didn’t look up - had he even heard her?

She heard footsteps behind her, and saw Pidge and Keith. Both of them looked stricken. Keith had his hands over his mouth as he hurried to Lance’s side. His eyes gleamed, and he looked horrified.

Pidge stood, her hands on her bayard. She looked angrily triumphant, accusing eyes on Allura, hissing, “I told you! I swear to god I warned you!”

“I - I…” Allura didn’t have the words. She bit her lip, shaken.

Keith was whispering words in Korean, his hands in Lance’s, trying to make him look at him, wiping at Lance’s tears with the hem of his cropped jacket. Allura caught a few words off the side.

“Ulji mal-ajuseyo. Jagiya, ulji ma.” He kissed Lance’s tear-streaked cheek and wrapped his arms around him.

Allura froze. Only speaking one language. Keith’s words were worthless when Lance didn’t know what they meant.

Lance’s eyes glowed a sharp, water blue through the darkness, fixed intently on Allura. He looked more angry than sad now. Suddenly, Allura felt a chill in her blood that had nothing to do with the cold castle.

“No tienes idea,” he spat. “¿Por qué me subestimas? Quiero que mires más allá de tus propias esperanzas por una vez.”

Only one language.

Oh, God.

She had never been more wrong about someone.

Pidge had gasped a little at Lance’s words, but Keith didn’t move. He kissed Lance, on the lips this time. Tears shuddered down his face.

Allura took off running, not wanting to see anyone. She knew Lance’s tears came from more than just pain, of not having anyone understand him. The way he looked at her… It was her fault. All her fault.

When she reached her own room, she cried almost as much as she had seen Lance doing.

-

Pidge sat at Lance’s side.

She hadn’t known something for sure. Guesses weren’t good enough. She cursed herself.

Not knowing something certainly - that was different. Pidge didn’t like different things.

-

“Where is he?”

Pidge looked wary about telling Allura… Anything… About Lance’s position. He looked pretty broken from their encounter from yesterday.

“In his room,” Pidge said eventually. “Keith is with him.”

Allura nodded mutely.

“This is your fault, you know,” she said accusingly.

Allura sighed. “I know. I’ve never been more wrong about something.”

Pidge turned her head to the blueprints on her lap, and didn’t say anything.

“I was wrong,” Allura repeated. “I didn’t listen to you. Not to Keith when he said that Lance needed more recognition. He nearly died for Coran… God, if Coran had died..” Her eyes drifted off into space, but she made them stoic and rigid again.

“I don’t know a thing about Lance,” said Allura. “I didn’t pay enough attention to him - not even so I knew he loved Keith and Keith loved him back, not so I knew he cried like that… I was wrong. You were right. He didn’t speak because he couldn’t. But when Keith and the others didn’t try, I didn’t care, and Lance could easily have been unable to speak as much as the others. But no, I was stupid. I thought he was flunking. I was wrong. You were right, he was bilingual. Spanish is his main language. Worst of all, he couldn’t tell me… But would I have listened?”

Pidge didn’t stop Allura, idly listening to her words whilst tapping on the electronics.

“I was wrong,” she repeated. “You were right. It’s always you who’s right.”

Pidge blinked. Then she smiled, cocky.

“Me, always right?” she asked. “Yeah, that’s not different. That’s not different at all.”

Parrish is holding the infant like a fullback carrying the football, tight and close to his body, as if he’s afraid someone’s going to strip it away from him at any moment.

“Sir,” he whispers, “this baby is running hot.”

“So call the paramedics, get Sally on the line. For heaven’s sake, Parrish, this baby needs a hospital, not the sheriff” The baby is hot to the touch but his pale eyes, when they blink open, are clear and he’s not flushed like a feverish infant would be.

“No,” Parrish hisses, “I mean this baby is running hot. I don’t think he’s human.”

John looks at the priest, still standing in the aisle, hunched in concern. He looks at the baby in his duck onesie and little yellow hat.

Stiles looked at Derek and found him frowning deeply. He reached for his hand and squeezed, Derek looked at him and gave him a small smile, lacing his fingers with Stiles’.

Scott took them to the big tree in the middle of the forest that had a hollow bark, except this time when they looked inside, it wasn’t really hollow. A little girl, maybe four or five years old, was sitting in there all curled up in herself, her arms hugging her knees tightly.

He lost his mother at an early age, and watched many of his friends die while he was still in high school. He had looked at death in the eye more than once in that year alone.
He had thought about dying. More than once. He had always expected to die mauled by a supernatural creature that wasn’t supposed to exist, or piss off the wrong werewolf, or try Derek one too many times: all of his deaths included a ferocious battle for survival.
But this? This wasn’t him being incredibly stupid. He had lived in Beacon Hills dodging supernatural mauling and killer trees just to die in a stupid airplane crash.

Rainy’s Electric Charge Spell ⚡

A jar spell to be performed during a thunder/lightning storm to increase one’s energy, motivation, and focus! This can be used for energy at work, school, during magick, or just in general.

⚡ Written by Rainy-Day-Witchcraft

Materials:

  • Jar/Bottle
  • Carnelian and/or Quartz
  • Bay leaf
  • Sunflower
  • Cayenne (either pepper or spice is fine)

Setting up ⚡

During a thunder/lightning storm, collect all of your materials together and plan to head outside. In addition to your magickal ‘ingredients’, also be sure to dress in rain gear or bring a poncho!

A jar/bottle to contain your materials and the spell; this may also be a smaller jar, such as the ones that people use for necklaces or keychains, so that you may carry it with you whenever you need a little energy. Carnelian/Quartz, Bay leaf(s), Sunflower (dried seeds or petals), and Cayenne pepper will be the items you are putting into this jar ~

Once outside with your items: choose a spot that you will be able to see the lightning or hear the thunder, feel the strong winds, and be open to rainfall. The best option is most likely a backyard, but DO NOT work underneath a tree or near a large portion of water, such as a spa or pool, as a safety procaution against the lightning!

Performing the Spell ⚡

  • Before continuing, take some time to sit in that spot and feel your surroundings. Listen to the rain and the deep rumble of thunder, and feel the electricity in the air. Channel your magickal energies down from the power of the storm and allow them to fill your body, creating a visualized glow or static effect around your aura. When you feel ready, go on to the beginning of the spell:
  • Placing each ingredient individually into the jar, chant aloud:

“Carnelian/Quartz (whichever you’ve used) for motivation, energy, and success in my endeavors, and to constantly charge the magickal contents of this jar -

Bay leaf for focus, and to grant me what I wish for -

Sunflower, to give me the energy I call for -

and Cayenne, to manifest my magickal intent speedily and enhance it’s effects with a kick!”

Of course, you may also improvise or write your own words for this, if you’d like to personalize the chant.

  • Transfer a bit of energy into the jar. This may be done through mediation/visualization or physically, such as breathing into it, before quickly sealing the cork or lid. When I had performed this spell, I visualized small sparks of lightning coming from my fingertips to charge the entirety of the jar before I sealed the lid ~ so you can definitely get creative!
  • Now, magickally seal the jar. This may be done with a kiss, with a few final words (such as: “it is done” or “so mote it be!”) and if you feel content with the physical sealing of the jar, that’s fine too ~

And you are done! With the rhythm of the thunder and the storm, shake the jar; mix up those ingredients, enhance their power, and urge them to begin working your magick! You can dance around in the rain while doing this, stomp around on the wet earth, or perhaps sing a bit ~ This would also serve as a grounding exercise, so I do recommend something along these lines!

Now whenever you need a little boost of energy, motivation, or focus, shake up your jar and let the spell once again enhance these things. Littler jars may be held with you and shaking throughout the day, and bigger jars should be shaken in the morning and left in your room or windowsill for the day’s effects ~ With my smaller jar, I find it useful to visualize sparks forming inside while I shake it

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the spell here, and I hope you enjoy and find it useful!

Could the Gentry perhaps bestow certain powers to a person for the right price? Like maybe one day Jeff just suddenly doesn't talk at all anymore. But a couple days later, someone swore they saw sparks of lightning coming from his hands. Or perhaps one time a pair of underwear from each persons room went seemingly missing, and Tisha's reflexes seem suspiciously heightened, to an almost inhuman level. Basically what I'm getting at here is that if the fae could maybe make people properly Magical.

They could give them certain powers, yeah, for a price (although the price for something that can be turned against the Gentry is higher than you can probably pay). The problem is that once you left the campus, the power would fade (although maybe not disappear entirely?) and you would gradually forget how you came by it.

But tell me more about Tisha! Did she steal the underwear herself? Did the entire dorm chip in so Tisha could get ‘being Catwoman’ for her birthday present??? What Elsewhere creature demanded like forty pairs of used underwear???????? I am so intrigued

There were trees bursting with green leaves, their shade light enough to be warming and the amount small enough to be flourishing but not a forest. The cottage looked like a child’s dream; cream white walls were always concave or convex, never straight. A pink trim danced around the edges and the chimney looked like a triple layer cake that had half melted and then frozen again. The pathway was stone; large circles with stripes and dots fanning out from the center.

And there, seated on the wooden chair with no table, was the girl Aya had heard of.

Her grin was as bright as her skin was dark; the girl laughed and the sound rung through the mountain—valley—hill—whatever this place was. Aya didn’t know but the fact wasn’t as important as it might’ve been.

“Come out, come out,” the girl cajoled happily. “I can hear you moving around back there!”

Aya didn’t move from her place in the shadows. Here was the very person she was seeking, shining in the bright starlight, yet Aya felt paralyzed.

“You don’t have to run away.”

The voice—or maybe the wisdom that Aya sensed behind it—shocked her into speaking.

“I’m not running.”

“Well, not to him, certainly. Come on, come sit.” There was only one chair, but after Aya blinked there were two. She sat.

That, more than the hazardous journey or first spotting the girl, felt like freedom.

Three thoughts after reading Lord of Shadows

WARNING: Spoilers for Lord of Shadows

As we wear white in honor of the fallen–fallen that would still be living were it up to me–here I am also giving you three thoughts I have after finishing this book and waiting for the next, which comes out in 2019 :
1. I still don’t trust the Rosales brothers. They have a tendency of being suspicious, doing something that makes me trust them and then doing something that makes me not trust them again.
2. Emma broke the Mortal Sword with Cortana and a pain like lightning sparking through her snaked up her arm. Julian felt it too. Emma’s Parabatai rune is on her arm and the Mortal Sword was one of the Mortal Instruments given to the Jonathan Shadowhunter by the angel Raziel. I would suspect it had powers sort of like the Heavenly Fire with which Jace unwittingly took whatever made Jem a Silent Brother along with the yin-fen still in his blood. Since power like that was able to undo a Shadowhunter ritual, I am willing to bet Emma may have undone her Parabatai bond with Julian, they just haven’t had a chance to realize it yet with Livvy dying three seconds later.
3. I think Dru may have met the son of the Seelie Queen and Sebastian Morgestern without realizing it, the person that the Unseelie King has hostage and the Queen is desperate enough to have back that she makes (or at least is very willing to) make a deal with the Clave despite the burnt of the Cold Peace. I am very excited to see how that plays out in the last book that, again, comes out in 2019 .

[Voltron PJO AU] Shiro was walking towards the Big House to discuss some things with Coran when he spotted Keith leaving the place. Delighted to see his boyfriend, he jogged up to meet the son of Hades.

“Keith!” Shiro greeted, giving Keith a kiss on the cheek and enveloping him into a hug that could’ve probably crushed someone’s bone.

“Oh, hey,” Keith smiled weakly. “I… I have to go help Hunk with something.” He separated himself from Shiro, pushing him away.

As Keith was about to leave, Shiro quickly grabbed his hands and asked, “You’re still up for later by the beach?”

“Yeah,” Keith slowly said.

“Okay, I’ll see you later then?” Shiro gave Keith’s hand a gentle squeeze before the younger one left him.

Something was wrong with Keith and Shiro didn’t like seeing how it affected him. He’d have to find out what was troubling his best friend after his meeting with Coran. Inside there was Pidge and Allura and their meeting began. As soon as they were heading out, Shiro pulled Pidge to the side to ask her if she knew anything about what happened to Keith when he was inside the Big House.

“They are scared of him,” Allura answered instead, clearly hearing Shiro’s question.

“What do you mean? Is this still about his Dad coming here—”

“You know what he could do, Shiro. He’s too powerful, he obliterated a group of chimeras all in one go. A lot of demigods believed he was the one who ripped your arm off.” Allura explained.

“What?! That’s not true!” Shiro protested and he felt Pidge squeeze his arm to calm him down. “Keith’s wasn’t the one who—”

“Shiro, we know,” Pidge reassured him. “We know that, but the others wouldn’t believe it, especially since they know what Keith’s capable of. It’s easy for them to believe he was ruthless enough to take your arm. A rumour was spreading that he did that because you were breaking up with him.”

Shiro blinked in disbelief. “What? That’s so messed up! We’re still together and,” his shoulders sagged down as he looked down on the floor with a sad expression. “I would never break up with Keith, I love him too much to do that.”

Pidge blushed and cleared her throat. “Gods, you guys are so sappy. Keith said the same thing a while ago.” She nudged Shiro, “why don’t you go and find him now, lover boy. He’s probably being emo somewhere.”

Shiro left them and he wandered around looking for Keith. He wasn’t in his usual spots, so Shiro only thought of one place. He flew up and spotted a boy with raven black hair, sitting on the rock by the beach. His smile grew and he flew towards the brooding boy who probably might be in need of a hug.

“A son of Hermes said that the reason you’re only with me was because I’m too clingy and I forced you to be my boyfriend because either you become my lover or you die,” Keith said as soon as Shiro floated beside him, not even looking at the newcomer.

Shiro frowned and as soon as his foot touched the rock Keith was sitting on, his best friend continued, “A daughter of Aphrodite said I was too ugly to be with the handsome son of Zeus and that you were wasting your time with me because I refuse to do it with you.”

Shiro understood why Keith and him didn’t have that conversation. Keith just wasn’t into that ever since and Shiro respected that. He would never force Keith to do something he wasn’t comfortable with.

“Keith,” Shiro softly said, sitting down beside his boyfriend.

“I don’t care if they’re scared of what I can do, Shiro. I can’t help that. Dad gave those powers to me.” Keith said with his eyebrows knit. Then he pulled his legs closer to his chest and rest both his hands on top of his knees to hide his face as he softly whispered, “But I care enough to actually feel hurt knowing that the others don’t feel like I’m worthy to be with you.”

“Keith,” Shiro placed a hand on the boy’s back and caressed it. “You kn—”

“I know I’m not the most handsome boy out there,” Keith scoffed. “But being scrutinised about my looks, not taking into account how I fee—”

Their conversation got cut off when screams filled the air and Shiro looked up to see a dragon with many heads like the Hydra. It was the dragon, Ladon. And honestly? Shiro was just annoyed that they had to stop just because someone decided to drop in. Keith and Shiro looked at each other and Keith grabbed Shiro’s hand to shadow travel them near the ancient monster. The demigods tried to fight, not seeing any progress until the big three joined.

“Where’s Lance?” Keith shouted, eyes wandering trying to find the son of Poseidon until he found him near the tree beside Hunk. He looked at Shiro who nodded and flew them towards their friends.

“I want you to try and drown the dragon as long as you can, while Keith and I try to do what we can. Hunk, keep it distracted.” Shiro shouted orders. They got into work but so far nothing was working, it wasn’t until one of the dragon heads caught Keith by its mouth, crushing the son of Hades’ body in the process that Shiro could see blood spreading throughout his shirt.

Now Shiro was pissed. He clenched his fist as he flew in the air, dark stormy clouds surrounding him that might have alarmed the others but he didn’t care. Keith was hurt and Shiro wasn’t going to let that go. His whole body gathered sparks as he flew towards the dragon and sliced through one of its neck that held onto Keith. Immediately Hunk was there below to catch the son of Hades as the son of Zeus gathered all the lightning that he could, forming a really huge thunderbolt that could rival his own father’s. He threw it towards the dragon.

“Lance! Now!” Shiro shouted as Lance directed the water from the beach towards the creature, electrocuting it.

Shiro wasn’t thinking clearly, he only had one thought in mind and that was to kill the creature that hurt Keith. So he threw more thunderbolts for each of the heads, and then clasping both of his hands together, he aimed at the dragon’s body and surged to it the highest voltage he could muster for what felt like an eternity—bright light temporary blinding a lot of demigods except for him—until he could see the the dragon slowly weakening, giving it one final blow causing it to disintegrate, blasting off a shock of energy towards the entire camp like what Keith had done to the chimeras. That should’ve made him weak considering he hadn’t known he could do that, but for some reason, he had too much energy left in him that he quickly flew towards where Keith was.

“Keith!” Shiro breathed out as he landed beside the body of his lover. He lowered his forehead to touch Keith’s, unaware that it electrocuted Keith—just a little—until Keith opened his eyes in shock.

“Oh gods! I’m sorry!” Shiro stared in horror, finally seeing he was still emitting some lightning sparks from his body.  “I… I don’t know how to turn it off?”

“Wow,” Keith coughed out weakly, giving him a smile. “Sparky.”

Shiro laughed, then he noticed the other campers stare at them in horror, still unable to comprehend what they had witnessed, some backing off. “Now that makes the two of us very dangerous. We’re The Power Couple.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Keith whispered as he closed his eyes with a smile as Shiro carried him towards the infirmary.
