Invasor II has passed away at the age of 22 years.
Invasor with the rider Rafael Soto was one of the spanish pioneers that took the dressage world and helped to put the PRE horse ( Pura Raza Española) on the Internatinal Competition.
First they went to represent the Spanish dressage team at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, placing seventh in. Before the Olympic games the Spanish horse had gained popularity in the highest levels of dressage competition.
In 1998 WEG they won a gold medal and a place in the hearts and minds of the international dressage community.
Winning some great prizes at international competitions at Nations Cup and WEG events, they ended up competing for Olympic gold again at the 2004 in Athens, placing fourth.
Two ponies this time - Maximo & Mariscal. First one has more stilted movement, head pretty tucked in, and would probably be more if his ginormous neck wasn’t in the way. Also has thrashy tail. Second horse has their nose a good distance in front of the vertical, seems more relaxed, less thrashy tail. Both very very cute.
