Asheville, NC. I’ve heard of it’s vortex and the natural quartz that grows here in the Southern Appalachia. Sure whats not to love for a foodie such as myself, and a previous organic farmer. Any day of the week during peak harvest season one may be strolling around downtown and have their pick of Fresh, local and organic produce, honey, baked goods, grass fed meat…and so on. After traveling and living all across the country I think I may have found my home amongst the lushness that is North Carolina.
I most recently went out on a darlin’ date with a true Southern Gent. The restaurant Table, was one place I had yet to dine. Farm to table freshness, and Local. Southern dishes done with modern flair. We met for brunch on a fine Sunday afternoon. We split a greens salad with candied nuts, berries, chevré, and granola…simple and to the point. My date had ordered the shrimp and cheesy cheddar grits, with sunny side up egg, and brussels sprouts. Yum. I so wanted to order this dish but I decided on the Fried chicken, with biscuits and gravy. I was too nervous. I had to think quickly. Indeed I will return.
Fellas, take the time and make sure you’re clothes fit you well- makes such a huge difference. 20 bucks at a good seamstress goes a long way. And if you need a fitted shirt don’t go to Express. Go online and try Charles Tyrwhitt (extra slim fit) when they post a sale ($30 a piece!) - BEST deal I’ve found on quality dress shirts. I’ll post a review on my blog one of these days.
Today’s Find: @JCrew is currently running a sale that will give you an extra 40% off of clearance prices.
