I decided to visit 65 South Audley Street during my lunch hour to see where Audrey lived as a young woman starting out her career. The building itself is undergoing renovations but it was so nice to see and *be* where Audrey and her mother Ella van Heemstra lived in London during her early years.
I’ve included here a letter sent by Audrey on light blue headed paper with the South Audley Street address printed on it. The letter was sent on 20th July 1951 and written to Gilbert Miller who was the producer for ‘Gigi’ on Broadway in which Audrey starred. The letter was auctioned by Ira & Larry Goldberg Auctioneers.
