About 'Evolutions'

I would like to thank  Shana (diversityandecho), Esra  (my-memory-palace), Terry  (achello), Lina (alittletasteofmint)  ksjanes, Mel (mel-men), Liz (lizgrandmaison),  glassplitter, Nuria (nurnielfa) and Juergen (hjs-photo) for their kind and nice comments on my photo Evolutions’. And, of course, I feel grateful for all that appreciation received under the form of ‘likes’ and reblogs. All this warm feedback has finally faded the doubts I had  yesterday, believing that it was perhaps an image ‘too minimalist’. To each and every one: thank you, mates!

And I also want to thank the Tumblr editor of Architecture for distinguishing this picture with a blue tag, I would lie if I said it was not a very pleasant surprise :)!

Yours.

JM

You have some great work. It’s all about sharing that experience. I have been and still am enjoying sharing. I also track and enjoy seeing the flame spread. You deserve the growing attention. “The Corner” has the most influence and am enjoying the posts being picked up there.

You my friend have a great eye. I love the work. Thank you for showing that you pay attention and are humble. Just makes the work all the more beautiful.

Hugs,

Andrew & Co……..

'beyond incredible. i love when a shot fires on all my senses, tough to do. this does it!!!!'

Sam, that’s really generous, my friend: thank you;I’m glad you liked it!

'And an other beauty!'

… what’s been said by someone who really knows about beauty… thank you, Carole!

'Lovely, Juan. I can smell the sea breeze!'

Thank you, Terry, I couldn’t ever get tired of that smell!

'dreamy… I can stay there forever.'

That was a beatiful place, Marina. And absolutely solitary that day… what leads me to think that I like beaches in summer, but I really love them in autumn and winter!

'Dreaming of summer! Lovely.'

Thank you, Esra! In fact, the veil you see in the picture had been forgotten and was still hanging on the terrace of a closed beverage kiosk. The remains of the summer!

'Sososo beautiful Juan Manuel, makes me dream of my next holidays! Very shot, love the sparkling light on the sea and the curtain of course :-)'

That curtain was a lucky extra for the shot, Barbara :-)! But what was really beautiful that day was the intense glow in the water of the few rays of sunlight that could penetrate the thick clouds. It was one of those times when you know that however much you try, you will not be able to capture, not even remotely, the beauty of the moment.

Thank you, Maria; I’m glad you liked this (fortunate :) shot!

'Maravillosas siluetas, gran bokeh!

'This is excellent, Juan and so elegant composed. Beautiful how you capture the birds, light and the water jet'.

Thank you Stefan! I was a little bit lucky; everything fitted and I had time enough to compose and to make several shots at different speeds and apertures. At least one of those shots had to be the good one!

'Wonderful image! Everything is perfect!'

Thanks, Terry: I really think tha’s a generous comment :)!

'Great light balance and a nice soft tone, this is great as always'.

Many thanks for your kindness! There was a beautiful mixture between natural and artificial light, and I was concerned about capturing then well!

'Genial foto!'

jenquest replied to your post: Last light' - f2; 1/60s; ISO 400…:

'Wonderful'

Thank you my friend! It was one of those times in which I can be reasonably sure that the photo is likely to look good, as long as I do not spoil it!!

'Esta foto es un primor; me fascina la silueta de la paloma negra, y esos colores de la puesta del sol…'

Todo encajaba estupendamente bien, Fern! Incluso las palomas estaban extrañamente estáticas.Y a mi lado había una chica que estaba fotografiando lo mismo que yo y nos ibamos mirando como preguntándonos si eran de cartón piedra. Estaban tiesas (y estupendas para la foto, claro!)

ravenoussouls replied to your post: Last light' - f2; 1/60s; ISO 400…:

'Me pareció palomo hasta bajar del todo la foto… Que fondo más nostálgico…'

Ja, ja…! Sí que era ‘paloma’, Juan! Tengo que reconocer que el fondo era un primor y ya mientras disparaba, tenía calro que si no la pifiaba con aperturas o velocidades, la foto tenía posibilidades!

Many thanks for your kind (usual) support, Ariel!

Mercury Rising

My blog reached the 1000 followers mark yesterday.  So, I am rebloging the first photograph that I posted here.  It is from my Dumpster series.

I began this adventure in September of last year, not understanding what Tumblr was all about.  I have come to realize the greatness of it all; the tremendous warmth, support, excitement and Talent that all of you bring to my dash each day!

Photography is a hobby for me, one of my greatest loves.  I have taught myself every thing I know about it.  I am weak in technique but strong in my love.  Each one of you make it worth my effort and I thank you!

I particularly have to thank Lensblr and Luxlit for their support and I want to thank all 1003 people who follow, send the love and reblog my art!

I am deeply honored!  With much gratitude,

Terry
