Fitblr start

April 1, 2015 my neighbor asked me to do something called “Eat to Live” with her. It was the only meal plan that ever worked for her, and she swore by it. Problem is…it’s vegan with elimination of processed foods and I enjoy things like sour cream, ice cream, cheese, chicken, cheeseburgers, etc…

She was desperate, and said she wouldn’t succeed without an accountability buddy. I was at the highest weight I’d ever been at (non-pregnant) of 243 pounds, so I agreed to help. I didn’t expect much. I had yo-yo’ed on a LOT of diets for 9 years.

Best agreement ever. She lost weight, enough to allow her to get healthy and pregnant with her second even though she had PCOS and had been trying for over a year without success.

Additionally, I lost weight too. Over the next 5 months, I went from a size 18 at 243 pounds, to a size 10 and 185 pounds. October 2015 was my lowest at 183 pounds. I felt healthy, I loved my body, my energy was amazing. I could run on the soccer field again, clothes fit better. It was fantastic!

I gradually got “off plan” when my neighbor got pregnant and my accountability buddy was gone. I edged up to 208 and 218. I freaked out thinking this was all going to end up back at 240 again. Slowly, over the last 2 months I’ve gotten back down to Onderland again. If I can maintain in the 180′s I’ll be happy. BMI calculators say I should be under 164, but I look at my body and think that’s not what I want. I want muscle, and boobs, and a great ass. I think if I get down that low, all those things will be *less* than I want them to be.

So, here’s to 180. It’s right around the corner. And thanks to the fitblrs who are helping me get there.

anonymous asked:

do you mind sharing your weight loss routine??

well i started going to this all women’s bootcamp about 6 weeks ago & the exercises they have you do is cardio workouts for about 30 minutes. nonstop. then they would have you walking/running for about 20 minutes. Stopped drinking anything but water and tea. i cut out a lot of food with excessive sugars, Stopped drinking milk, yogurt, milk ice cream…i’ll eat sour cream but in very small amounts. i stopped eating a lot of red meat. i stay away from processed foods. i started drinking juices (pressed) instead of meals sometimes. i also make sure majority of my food intake is like plant based. i eat hella veggies and fruits & salads. occasionally eat fish, turkey, chicken & super duper rare of me to eat red meats. don’t really eat bread.

on top of going to the bootcamp and changing my eating habits and being conscious of what i put in my body i also was going to a regular gym to do cardio and weights for about 1 everyday. hikes and being active just became part of my daily life. i started going to the sauna and steam room too on the daily. i love sweating cause my sweat now tastes water and it just feel feels great to sweat.

tbh i have slip ups where i eat junk food here and there but for the most part i am aware of the effects these foods have on my body.

I hope this answered your question. Any more specifics hit me up.

Shadowblog 3- Sundae Sunday

Sugarcoat: Ah, nothing like a delicious sundae on a sunny Sunday without my idiotic friends could calm me down before the cook-off even more than I already am….

Out side the ice cream shop….

I had a BIG buffet dinner today… buttery fish, tons of sushi, orange chicken, sesame chicken, chow mien, sweet and sour chicken, steak kabobs, jello, ice cream, vanilla cake roll slices, these fried cream cheese and chive pastry things that are my favorites… just so much. And I am stuffed. So I guess I just wanted to let the world know!

Apparently I should be staying away from all these things due to my acid reflux:

  • Meats. Ground beef, marbled sirloin, chicken nugget-style, and chicken/buffalo wings.

  • Fats, Oils & Sweets. Chocolate, regular corn and potato chips, high-fat butter cookies, brownies, doughnuts, creamy and oily salad dressings, fried or fatty food in general.

  • Fruits, Vegetables & Juice. Orange juice, lemon, lemonade, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, tomato, mashed potatoes, French fries, raw onion, potato salad.

  • Other Beverages. Liquor, wine, coffee, and tea.

  • Grains. Macaroni and cheese, spaghetti with marinara sauce.

  • Dairy. Sour cream, milk shake, ice cream, regular cottage cheese.

Didn’t realize how much food I love has cheese until I try to stop having it. Really gonna try going dairy free cuz i’m tired of feeling terrible after eating. The lactaid pills help somewhat but I don’t want to have to keep buying them. Gonna go to the grocery store later to get some vegan cheese, sour cream, and ice cream (stuff i like having all the time). We’ll see how that goes.

If you guys have any dairy free products you love please let me know so i can check them out!
