Sheriff Knows Best

Stiles/Derek, G, 2K words, Sheriff POV, Coffeeshop AU, matchmaker!Sheriff

(Credit for the title to @cobrilee!)

This is an expansion of the following idea, written by the lovely @artemis69:

the coffee!AU, where John goes to the same coffee shop every day, and there is this very grumpy, quiet barista that always makes him amazing coffee and keep the best pastries for him. And one day the Sheriff learns that Derek is the one to bake them all, so he decides: this will be my son in law, I need a reason to have this man in my family for at least forty to fifty years. Then he matchmakes with no subtility whatsoever, basically offering his only son on a silver plate, Stiles spluttering all the way (but he takes Derek’s number anyway because the guy is just amazingly cute)

John’s on his regular morning stroll when he stops in his tracks and takes in the brand-new coffee shop, complete with a banner advertising their opening day. The little corner space has been boarded up for over a year, and John had no idea it was opening today.

Any new businesses are a boon for Beacon Hills, especially family-run ones like this one is rumored to be, so John ducks inside. It’s warm and homey, and there’s a pair of young dark-haired people behind the counter, close enough in features that they’re probably siblings. The quiet bickering points that direction, too.

They stop, though, when they see the Sheriff—the uniform tends to have that effect—and he pastes on his public servant smile. “Hi there. I saw this place was open and wanted to come on in and introduce myself. Sheriff John Stilinski.”

“Oh, it’s so nice to meet you,” the woman says, holding out her hand for a shake. A nice strong grip—John likes this girl already. “I’m Laura Hale, and I own this place with my brother Derek, our resident grumpy barista-slash-baker.”

Derek rolls his eyes at Laura, but his smile to John is genuine, if small. “Hi, Sheriff. Nice to meet you.”

“Likewise, son,” he says, perusing the case full of tempting sugary treats. “You made these?”

He nods. “Can I get you anything?”

John hums. “A medium coffee, and…any one of these delicious-looking goodies. You pick. Just don’t tell my son,” he adds, and Derek looks up at him.

“Your son?”

“I have slightly elevated cholesterol,” he says, stressing the word. “Nothing to worry about, honestly. But he polices my diet. I don’t think he knows about this place yet, though, so this is great.”

Derek hums. His tongs hover over a muffin—lemon poppyseed, it looks like—before moving to another one. Raspberry-almond, according to the sign, and well, John isn’t picky. Derek drops it into a little bag and hands it over.

“Happy to help,” he says.

John thanks him and opens the bag. Laura’s still pouring his coffee, but it smells so damn good that he can’t resist.

“Wow,” he says, his mouth full. “This is delicious.”

Derek looks quietly proud, and Laura claps him on the shoulder as she reaches over to hand John his coffee. “On the house, today, Sheriff,” she says. “Thanks for stopping by.”

“I’ll be back tomorrow,” he promises.

“Thanks, Nina,” John says dryly, leaning back so she can put his plate in front of him.

“You’re welcome, Sheriff,” she says with a friendly smile, ignoring his stink eye.

Stiles just grins at both of them and digs into his French toast. He insists on having their weekly father-son breakfast at Paulie’s Diner because no matter what John orders, Nina will only bring him an egg-white omelet with a dry English muffin. Stiles must have some serious blackmail or be paying her off somehow, and John is, he has to admit, grudgingly impressed.

“Don’t look so bummed out, Pops,” Stiles says, around a mouthful of what’s surely syrup-drenched deliciousness. “At least I let you have turkey bacon.”

“It’s not the same,” he says grumpily, poking at it. “But at least I’m getting a steady stream of baked goods now.”

Stiles glares at him. “Are you serious? From where? I thought I had paid everyone off.”

He knew it. “I’m not telling you,” he says, a little displeased with how childish he sounds.

“Fine,” Stiles says, sniffing. “I’ll figure it out, you know I will.”

He will, John knows. Goddamn, he loves his kid, even if his life goal seems to be depriving John from any and all delicious food. “And speaking of, I met someone the other day,” he starts, and Stiles gasps theatrically, his hand coming up to cover his mouth.

“Is this you crapping all over my dream of having Melissa as my stepmom?”

John sighs at the reminder. Melissa is…well, she seems happy with that Argent guy. Whatever. He’s not bitter.

“Not for me, Jesus,” he says, shaking his head. “For you.”

“Oh my god,” Stiles says, slumping back in the booth. “Eye roll” is too mild, John thinks. It’s more of a whole head roll. “Seriously, Dad, I’m only 25. You don’t have to marry me off quite yet. You’ll get your grandchildren someday, I promise. Stop trying to set me up with people.”

“I’m just trying to be helpful!” John protests. “He seems nice.”

And makes really good treats, he adds in his head. That’ll be a good trait for a son-in-law.

“And who exactly is he?”

John pauses. “I met him at the aforementioned undisclosed location.”

Stiles snorts. “Find out if he actually likes dudes, then get back to me.”

“Okay,” he says seriously, and Stiles grimaces.

“No, Dad, don’t actually—”

Pst hi I LOVE YOUR FICS you have no idea how much they give me life <3 <3 I came across this really cute (and frankly heartbreaking) AU: "[burgler gently wakes me] you live like this?" (stolen from a post I saw on fb) and I kinda just need Stiles to do everything he can to make Derek's life better? THANK YOU SO MUCH :D

It IS frankly heartbreaking… which means I’m totally into it.

Derek definitely went to sleep alone. He always does, these days. It doesn’t explain why he drifts awake in the middle of the night to the feeling of someone lightly poking his shoulder.

It’s probably not a good sign that when he opens his eyes and sees a gangly teenage boy in a red hoodie and grubby-looking black fingerless gloves standing over him, he doesn’t startle. His claws don’t come out; his eyes don’t flash. He just feels… resigned.

“You live like this?” the guy says, soft. Almost pitying. “I mean. You actually live here?”

That seems too obvious, not to mention too insulting, to merit a response. “What are you doing here?” Derek asks instead. His voice comes out low and rough. This is the first time in days he’s had any reason to say anything. “This is private property.”

The guy shifts on his feet and sticks his hands under his armpits uncomfortably. “Okay, straight to the awkward questions. I like that.”

married part 3- h.s imagine

part 1

part 2

Niall opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it. You rolled your eyes as you stared at him from across the kitchen counter. Niall furrowed his eyebrows as he placed his hand on his chin. He shook his head and leaned against the counter. “Alright. Tell me again exactly what she said.”

You let out a sigh as you leaned your hands against the counter. “She basically told me to fuck off, Niall.” Niall shook his head and sat down on one of the bar stools. “I just can’t believe Kimberly would say something like that to you.” You sighed as you sat on the seat next to his. You leaned your head against your arm. “I can’t believe it either.”

“So did you tell Harry?” Niall asked. You shook your head, “No. And I’m not planning on telling him either. I can’t tell him that he married-”

“The wicked bitch of London?” Niall interrupted, lips quirking up in a smile. You let out a chuckle as you gently punched him in the arm. “I’m serious, Niall. It’ll break his heart knowing Kimberly’s capable of saying something like that to someone. Promise me you won’t tell him?” Niall shrugged his shoulders as he got up to grab something from the fridge. “I guess, Y/N. But he’ll find out eventually. What’s he gonna think when his best friend suddenly stops talking to him?”

You groaned as you placed your head on the counter. “It’s not like I was going to do anything to hurt the marriage. I respect Harry too much to ever jeopardize it. But now I feel like I did overstep my boundaries, that’s why Kimberly wants me out of the picture.”

Niall turned around from looking in the fridge, a bottle of water in his hands. “You did nothing wrong, Y/N. You’re Harry’s best friend. Just because he’s married, that’s never going to change. Kimberly’s just insecure that her marriage is in the runs.”

You rubbed your face with your hands, clearly exhausted of the situation. “Out of all the people I could’ve fell in love with, why Harry?” You let out a laugh at how ironic your life was. “I just had to be the stereotypical girl who falls in love with her best friend.”

Niall smiled, sitting back down next to you as he placed his arm around you. “Harry’s just a great guy. Every girl is bound to fall in love with him. At least you have the privilege of being his best friend?” Niall tried assuring you, giving your shoulder a squeeze. You leaned your head against Niall’s shoulder and puffed out your cheeks, “I hate my life.”

With yet another promise from Niall that things were going to work out in the end for you, Niall left your apartment. You were sitting on your bed, scrolling through your Facebook feed. You sighed as you saw another post from Harry’s honeymoon. You leaned your head against the bed frame as you clicked on Harry’s name. You started looking through his most recent pictures. A lot of the photos were either from his honeymoon or his wedding. You tried not to wince as you would stumble upon pictures of him and Kimberly kissing. You were basically looking at Harry’s timeline in his photos. There were pictures from when he proposed to Kimberly, pictures of them at a Coldplay concert, pictures of them eating crazy looking food, pictures of them on the bed snuggling. Just pictures of them.

You laughed as you landed on the next picture, your hand covering your mouth.

You smiled at Harry as he placed a small cake in front of you. He sat down in front of you, a smile so wide, you were afraid his dimples would somehow burst. “This is my first time trying out this cake recipe, love, so bare with me if it’s not good.” Harry said as he began lighting candles on the cake.

You shook your head, a smile still on your face. “It looks absolutely amazing, H.” Harry looked over at you and smiled. He looked at the clock on the wall and noticed the time. “And now, it’s officially your birthday.”

Since you and Harry were twelve, he’s always made sure to be the first to tell you Happy Birthday. As your best friend, it was his sole purpose to do so. Every year, Harry would make you a cake, from scratch, and would sing you happy birthday. You guys would eat cake in your pajamas while watching Sixteen Candles and eat even more cake for breakfast in the morning. It was a perfect tradition you’d hope would never end.

Your eyes glanced over to the caption. On this day, my beautiful best friend came into this world. I will always remain thankful for this day. I will always love you.

You bit your bottom lip, rereading the caption what felt like a million times. You couldn’t help but wonder how your birthday will be this year. It was only in a couple of weeks. Would Harry still come over? Should he even come over? With everything Kimberly said, is it right for him to come over? You grabbed one of the pillows placed on your bed and screamed into it. With your head still in the pillow, your laptop began to ring. You looked over to see your mom was trying to FaceTime you. “Just what I needed” you mumbled. You plastered on the most phony smile to exist. “Hey mom.”

Your mom smiled, “Oh, honey! How lovely it is to see you!” You shook your head, letting out a giggle. “I saw you at the wedding, mom.” Your mom shook her head, a look of concern appearing on her face. “How are you doing, sweetie?” Besides Niall, your mom was the only one that knew of your feelings for Harry. How could she not? She was your mother. Your mom would always tell her friends that she knew you and Harry would be married someday. She loved your friendship and she loved how Harry respected you. It’s what every parent dreams for their child. When she got the invitation to his wedding, she was absolutely shattered for her daughter. She immediately called you only to be met with you sobbing on the other side of the line.

You shrugged your shoulders, pushing your hair behind your ears. “I’m fine.” Your mom shook her head. “You’re not. And it’s okay if you aren’t.”

You sighed as you stared at the computer screen. “It’s over, mom. He’s married. I can’t do anything but be supportive for him.” Your mom pursed her lips, nodding her head. “Well, Y/N. The reason why I called was because I want you to go out-”

You groaned, interrupting her. “Mom. Please. The last thing I want to do is go on a date.” Your mom let out a sigh.

“Y/N. Harry’s married.” You shook your head slowly as your eyes shifted away from the screen. Your mother continued, “And from looking at how happy he was at the wedding and listening to his vows…Y/N, he’s going to be married for a long time.” You sniffed, trying not to tear up in front of your mom.

Your mom looked down at her hand, looking at her wedding ring. “Every mother wants that for her child. They want to see them in love. They want to see their wedding. I want that for you, Y/N. As your mother, I can’t stand back and watch you hurting.”

You looked back at the computer screen, a tear falling down. “Let yourself be happy.” Your mom whispered on the other side. Your head shot down in defeat. She was right. A moment of silence passed before you whispered, “Alright.”

Lucas was…nice. He did everything you were supposed to do on a first date. He asked about your family, he asked about your job, he asked about your hobbies. He pulled out your chair for you at dinner, he held open the door for you, he paid for dinner. Lucas was a proper gentleman. You couldn’t help but think you needed someone like Lucas. As harsh as it sounds, Lucas was your distraction from Harry.

“Well this is me.” You said as you nodded towards your apartment building. Lucas nodded as he followed your gaze. “Is it alright if I walk you towards your door?”

You smiled, nodding your head. As you and Lucas were walking towards your door, you let out a laugh as Lucas was telling you about accidentally walking into his brother “handling” his business in his room.

Your laughter halted as you saw Harry standing in front of your door. He was staring between you and Lucas with his arms crossed. “Harry? What are you doing here?” Harry stared at Luke before he turned to look at you. “Can I talk to you?”

Lucas cleared his throat, catching on the tension. “I should probably get going, Y/N. I had a really great time.” You turned to look at Lucas and gave him a small smile, nodding. “I did, too.” You leaned over and gave him a hug. As Lucas returned the hug, you couldn’t help but feel Harry throwing daggers at you. Lucas cleared his throat once more as he nodded towards Harry and walked back towards the elevators.

As soon as you opened your apartment door, Harry was quick to ask, “Who was that?” You ignored his question, taking your heels off. “What did you need to talk about, Harry?”

Harry cleared his throat, crossing his arms once again. “Were you on a date?” You closed your eyes and pinched the bridge of your nose. “Yes. Ok, yes, Harry. I was on a date.”

Harry let out a scoff. “That explains why you wouldn’t answer my texts.” You rolled your eyes as you began pouring yourself a glass of wine. “Well I’m sorry my life doesn’t revolve around you.”

Harry closed his mouth, a slight pang of hurt on his face. He shook his head. “I just wanted to tell you that me and Kimberly got into our first fight today. I really needed you, Y/N.” You stared into the wine glass, your mind zoning off as Harry went on about the fight.

“I just need you to tell me what to do.” Harry said. You quickly came back to your senses. “I’m sorry, H. I got none of that.” Harry let out a sigh. He was already frustrated enough with Kimberly and being ignored by you wasn’t making it any better. “Damn it, Y/N. Stop thinking about that guy and pay attention to me.”

This time it was your turn to let out a scowl. “I’m sorry Harry that I wasn’t listening to you go on about your wife. Why would I want to hear your problems in your marriage when I’m having problems myself?”

Harry threw his arms out, “You’re supposed to be my best friend! You’re supposed to be listening to my problems and help!”

“My life doesn’t revolve around you, Harry!”

Harry looked away from you, shaking his head. He realized he was being needy but you’ve never had a problem with it before. You were always happy to help him whenever you could. He couldn’t help but think it was because you had a potential guy in your future. He doesn’t know who that guy was, how many dates you guys have been on, or how much you liked him. What he did know was you didn’t look right with that guy.

Harry placed his hand on the door knob before he looked at you. “You’re right. I’m sorry I ruined your night.”

“Wait, H-” You closed your eyes as the door shut. You wrapped your arms around yourself, hating that you were so harsh to Harry. You were about to run after him but you couldn’t help but thinking about what Kimberly said. You knew you shouldn’t let her words get into her head. Why is she just now having a problem with your friendship with Harry when they’ve been together for two years now? You let out a sigh as you sat on your kitchen barstool. You couldn’t help but think about what it would be like from Kimberly’s shoes. You would be insecure as well if your husband had a best friend that has feelings for him. But you weren’t the type of person to jeopardize a marriage, why couldn’t she see that? You leaned your head against your hand. You didn’t know what to do anymore.

When Harry stepped into the elevator, his eyes were staring at your door, expecting you to run after him. When your door made no movement of opening, Harry looked down at the floor as the elevator doors closed.

A/N: i’m really sorry that I haven’t been coming up with imagines for a while! i just got on spring break, so yay!!

“I still don’t understand why you chose to be with them.” I huff, glaring at the Inquisitorial Squad badge pinned tightly to his robes.

“Neither do I, but Blaise and Pansy did it, so I did it, too,” he shrugged. “Even if it’s with that toad.”

“Well, when you’re done following those two around, maybe look up to someone who’s actually mature enough to stay away from devil women who allow their ‘squad members’ to cheat for house cups.”

“Yeah, maybe I’ll make Theo my role model someday.” He smirks. God, that smirk. That annoying arse smirk. That mesmerising arse smirk.

“Oh, shut up, Malfoy.” I elbow him softly in the ribs.

“Make me.” He elbows me back, just as Umbridge passes by.

“Boys and girls are forbidden from being eight inches or closer to each other. I believe I have made that clear, Mr. Malfoy and Miss (y/l/n)?” Umbridge flashes a sugar sweet smile at us that makes me want to punch her in the bosom multiple times. That would hurt her not nearly as much as she has hurt the school and its students, but, nonetheless, it would feel amazing.

“Yes, ma’am.” Draco and I say in unison as the gay witches and wizards chuckle.

“Good. Next time I catch you two at foul play, two month’s detention will be given to each of you. Have a good day.”

I glare at the toad-like woman as she struts down the corridor, waving her wand every second at students. As she gets farther away from us, I thrust my middle finger in the air at her.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

“I hate that woman,” I set my library books on the coffee table carefully, as Madame Pince would literally murder me if I broke another. “So entitled to her own opinion. Honestly, couldn’t the Ministry have sent someone better?”

“Relax, y/n. It’s Sunday - let’s get Umbitch out of our minds.” Draco sits on the couch and pats the spot next to him. “Sit.”

“And how, exactly, are we going to do that?” I cross my arms and sink into the couch.

“I don’t know, skinny dip in the lake, kill ourselves in the Forbidden Forest, whatever you’d like,” he smirks.

“Well, I’ve been a bit… bored this past month, if you know what I mean,” I wink seductively.

“I’m up for anything. If you are, too.”

“You know I’m joking, right?” As soon as the words leave my lips, I regret it. His words were like music to my ears. For a split second, I thought he was serious. That he actually almost admitted to having feelings for me. And I would admit mine. But the fantasy evaporated, leaving only the bleak, loveless reality.

“Yeah, yeah. I was, too.” He scratches his head nervously.

“Oh, um, ok. Sorry, I thought you were serious.”

“I-I kind of was.” I turn to look at Draco, confusion written all over my face.

“You were?”

“Y-yeah. Listen, (y/n), I know this is sudden, and I certainly did not expect everything to come to the surface this way, but I’m in love with you. Always have been. I know you probably only see me as a friend, but I do, too. The difference is that I want something more.”

I say nothing. I only stare at the fearful, stormy grey eyes of Draco Malfoy. I lean in. I smell his minty breath hitting my face. I feel his lips brushing against mine. And I feel his kiss. Slow, but passionate. He reaches over and cups my face in his hands, while I wrap my arms around his neck.

Then I feel something click, something stimulating, and I know he feels it, too. I continue to kiss him, only roughly. His teeth begin to nibble at my lips, seeking permission for entrance, to which I grant him. Our tongues collide, fighting for dominance, for control. Draco pulls me onto his lap and begins to kiss my jawline, slowly going down towards my neck. He finds my sweet spot and begins sucking. I moan loudly. My moans must have turned him on, because I begin to feel a tent emerging in his pants. As he gives me hickeys, I begin grind on him, both of us moaning as I do so.

I unbutton his shirt and throw it to the ground while he pulls mine over my head and unhooks my bra. He pulls off my skinny jeans and throws it to the ground as well. I slip off my panties while Draco stands up, only in his tight dress pants.

“Jump,” he says. I oblige and wrap my legs around his hips, kissing him roughly and passionately.

Draco walks into a dormitory and locks the door behind him. He throws me onto the bed and lowers himself until his head is level with my soaking core. Draco licks a long stripe down my pussy and attaches his mouth to my clit, sucking. I moan loudly and grasp my hands on his platinum blonde, unkempt hair. Without warning, he thrusts two digits into me, making me moan. He pumps his fingers, hitting just the right spot. Draco continues to suck and suck and pump and pump. Right when I’m about to climax, he pulls out and levels himself with my entrance.

“Is this okay?” He asks nervously.

“Yeah, better than okay,” I smile at him.

Suddenly, he thrusts into me, causing me to nearly scream out of pleasure. He moans loudly and thrusts at a swift pace. Swift, but not swift enough.

“Faster, Draco,” I pant.

Draco then quickens his pace to a much more pleasurable speed. He wraps my legs around his waist, allowing for a deeper angle. His cock hits my G-spot with every thrust.

“Yeah, that’s the spot,” I moan.

He continues to pound mercilessly into me, making me scream with every thrust.

“I’m about to come,” I say.

“Me, too,” he pants.

Draco’s thrusts become sloppier until he empties his warm seed into me. The feeling stimulates me, and I empty myself all over his cock. He pulls out and lies beside me. Both of us are panting. Both of us are still recovering from what had just happened.

“Hey,” I turn over to face Draco. “If you haven’t guessed, I’m in love with you, too.”

He smiles, kisses me, and preps himself for round two.

❛ Now that I’ve untangled you, how about you do something for me? ❜
❛ All right! I just don’t see why you like it so much! ❜
❛ Babe, if you know it through a wall, you know it too well. ❜
❛ I’m fine! Hey, I’m great! I’m just, I’m just proud of us. ❜
❛ I realize that you didn’t expect to walk in and see that, but… Let me explain, okay? ❜
❛ We weren’t doing anything!  ❜
❛ Well, maybe the next batch, we could all get some. ❜
❛ I’m sorry, it must be the pressure of entertaining. ❜
❛ How could you mess this up? It’s so easy. ❜
❛ If I wanted this cake to be a disaster, I would have baked it myself! ❜
❛ I know what you’re thinking! The resemblance is uncanny! ❜
❛ It’s the longest I’ve ever spent on a computer without looking at porn. ❜
❛ You just got to accept the fact that this is going to cost you a lot of money. ❜
❛ Dude, I don’t think you should be wearing that. ❜
❛ Oh, I see. Somebody’s afraid of a little competition with the ladies? ❜
❛ If you had to, what would you give up? Food or sex? ❜
❛ It’s perfect! It’s everything we’ve been looking for! ❜
❛ What? When have I ever touched myself in front of you guys? ❜
❛ Why don’t you sit down… get yourself comfortable… because I have a little surprise for you. ❜
❛ Please just…just pull yourself together okay? ❜
❛ We’re not a couple- we’re definitely not a couple. ❜
❛ What, I’m not good enough for you? ❜
❛ Wow, you, uh, you seem pretty insulted by that.. ❜
❛ We’re not gonna have this conversation again. ❜
❛ Oh, you are, you really do like big butts, don’t you? ❜
❛ Why can’t you be supportive? ❜
❛ You have always been jealous of me! ❜
❛ You want to know why you don’t want me to have the baby? ❜
❛ You have to have everything and I couldn’t have anything. ❜
❛ Wait a minute; you don’t think it was intentional? ❜
❛ So, does anybody have any ideas how to organize this?  ❜
❛ Uh, don’t you think that would be a little weird? ❜
❛ We were on a break! ❜
❛ For the last time, I don’t care what the computer says. ❜
❛ I’m kind of going through a dry spell, sex wise.. ❜
❛ I’m across the street, having sex right now. ❜
❛ Whoa—hey—wh-wh-what do you got there? What is that? ❜
❛ What? Are you afraid you’re gonna run out? ❜
❛ Any minute now, the police will be here. ❜
❛ Well, if you’re gonna get to know him then you’d better do it now. ❜
❛ Well, excuse me for trying to put a positive spin on a traffic jam! ❜
❛ If only there was something in your head to control the things you say! ❜
❛ You know what, ____? Why don’t you just put that on your answering machine! ❜
❛ Oh, I’m sorry, were you speaking to me or sleeping with someone else? ❜
❛ There is no right or wrong, here. ❜
❛ You just asked me whether I wanted to go to bed with you tonight! ❜
❛ You know how some people walk in a room and everybody takes notice? ❜
❛ It’s never taken me a week to get over a relationship. ❜
❛ It’s never taken you more than a shower to get over a relationship. ❜
❛ Why would you start again after chewing all that quitting gum? ❜
❛ I started using humor as a defense mechanism. ❜
❛ Uh, do you guys have plans for the weekend? ❜
❛ Now it’s not gonna make any sense! ❜
❛ It’s not the sweater. It’s what’s underneath the sweater that counts. ❜
❛ You’re so stupid, how are you not yet extinct? ❜
❛ I broke up with you because I was mad at you, not because I stopped loving you. ❜
❛ Why would you need to say “hi” to them? ❜
❛ I’m just going to wander around in the rain. ❜
❛ I just got us dates with two unbelievably cute nurses. ❜
❛ That’s kind of a masculine name, don’t you think? ❜
❛ “Don’t count on it.” Seems like it works to me. ❜
❛ I went to the park and let a bee sting me. ❜
❛ I’m really getting tired of always sneaking around all the time. ❜
❛ I don’t even feel like I know you any more.  ❜
❛ Whatever you say, I’ll believe you. ❜
❛ All right, I’m just going to ask you this one time. ❜
❛ I’m surprised you didn’t go home wearing your lunch! ❜
❛ Someday I’ll tell you about the time I stabbed a cop! ❜
❛ Look, we’re not just messing around!  ❜
❛ I’m so sorry that you had to find out this way. ❜
❛ You guys probably wanna get some hugs in too, huh? ❜
❛ You were worried about me? You didn’t know how I was going to react? ❜
❛ Do you really think the best reason to get married is because you’re sorry? ❜
❛ I was gonna ask you to marry me because I forgot to say hello to you last week. ❜
❛ I can’t talk you out of this. It’s a great life. ❜
❛ I just realized I can sleep with my eyes open. ❜
❛ I mean, didn’t you even run so fast you thought your legs were gonna fall off? ❜
❛ What did you do that bad that make dad cut you off? ❜
❛ I guess it makes sense, you know, having such a terrible childhood. ❜
❛ I had a terrible childhood and I don’t do porn. ❜
❛ I always thought having a heart attack was nature’s way of telling you to die! ❜
❛ I mean… you — you are going to die, but you’re not gonna die today. ❜
❛ I mean, if you’re not careful, you may not get married at all this year. ❜
❛ Can we come in yet? We’re dying out here! ❜
❛ I didn’t know it was a big secret. ❜
❛ Why is this woman leaving a message for you on my machine? ❜
❛ It’s a known fact that women love babies, all right? ❜
❛ I was doing great before I found out about you! ❜
❛ And it’s not like I didn’t try, but things got in the way! ❜
❛ I’ve been doing this for ten years and I haven’t gotten anywhere. ❜
❛ You know what we should do? We should do, like, a soap opera theme. ❜
❛ Do you know me or are you just really good at this game?  ❜
❛ What’s the worst that could happen? ❜
❛ How do you expect me to grow if you won’t let me blow? ❜
❛ Why must everybody watch me sleep? ❜
❛ Haven’t you ever gotten beat up before? ❜
❛ It’s such a shame you can’t see what finger I’m holding up. ❜
❛ I didn’t know what I was taking responsibility for! ❜
❛ When I walk outside naked, people throw garbage at me. ❜
❛ I would’ve thought it was the other way around. ❜
❛ I remember I cried the night you made that up. ❜

anonymous asked:

I dated a guy for 8 years before we decided to get married. He dumbed in the alter where I waited for two hours without him or one of the bridesmaid whom he apparently eloped with. We had sex the night before so it shocked me to the core and I only knew what he did because of a snap he took in Las Vegas about it. What would RFA + V + saeran react to that when the have crush one me. Sorry it's too personal but I'm hurt and I don't know how to cope. I know it's full of typos please ignore them.

*cracks neck* A few of these characters may beat up the fictional equivalent of that douchebag for you. I’m so sorry this happened to you. I don’t know if I can properly convey to you the sadness and anger I feel at your story. So I’m just going make sure that our MysMe friends take care of him.

Also, I make an exception about pronouns for you. It’s all you/yours for this HC.

I’m actually surprised this one flowed out so naturally… enjoy!

Yoosung

  • When he hears what happened, he’s like a deer in the headlights
  • How is supposed to respond to that?!
  • You’re crying, and it breaks his heart to see you cry, but he’s also angry that that douchebag hurt you so badly
  • And underneath it all, even though he tries to squash the evil little voice, a part of him is singing “Ode to Joy” because you’re now single
  • But not ready to mingle, so he keeps his distance in that way
  • He’s there for you, holds you, does his best to cheer you up

Jaehee

  • if she ever sees him again, she’s going to Judo kick him so hard in the head, his skull will fracture
  • When she finds out, she gets you out of the church as fast as possible, helps you change, and takes you somewhere safe from prying eyes, private, and takes your phone away
  • She calls the RFA (still at the wedding) tells them what happened, and asks everyone to clear out the guests
  • Zen’s so angry on your behalf that you even hear him yelling through the phone, swearing up and down that if he ever gets his hands on DB, he will kill him
  • She will bring you anything you need, tea, coffee, pastries, ice cream
  • Jaehee has warm blankets (fresh from the dryer), dvds, and time, so she stays with you until you need time and space, then leaves, and comes back when you call
  • You need to work your way through this? She understands if you need to take a quick cry break in the back
  • seriously, though, if she ever sees him again, she will probably Judo kick him into the sun

Zen

  • He.
  • Is.
  • Ready.
  • To.
  • Kill.
  • Zen’s never exactly been shy about flirting or expressing his feelings for you, even if it was one-sided, not taken seriously, and he never intended to seduce you away from your beau
  • But Zen is a hopeless romantic, so someone spitting on the name of love like that, regardless of you, pisses him off
  • He doesn’t play around with women’s emotions (not on purpose, anyways)
  • When he hears the two of you even had sex the night before, he’s so angry he wants to hit everything
  • But he’s here for you, and so he drags you out of the church, takes you either to a bar or his apartment (that way you don’t have to look at the place you shared with him and be reminded)
  • Zen ignores the looks two get while riding his motorcycle
  • Once your safely hidden away in his apartment, he isn’t afraid to hold you, give you anything he has-
  • -in his fridge! That’s totally… what… um… h-he meant…
  • He has a ton of beer, and is more than willing to knock a few back with you and play games or watch TV
  • In the end, you play drinking games and watch bad TV
  • Years and years later, your in a happy relationship, married to Zen, you’re walking down street and see the guy the left you at the altar, and Zen bull rushes him and throws a few punches
  • Dude holds a grudge

Jumin

  • We all know Jumin Han and how quick he is to jump into relationships
  • He wanted a relationship with before he found out you were engaged, and was only okay with letting you go because you seemed happy
  • So, with everyone waiting in the pews at the church for over an hour, he knows something is wrong and goes looking for you
  • When he finds you crying, he asks what’s wrong, and you show him the snap of DB in Vegas, eloping, he’s furious
  • Jumin immediately tells you deserve so much better, and if you’d like, he’d be more than willing to step in as the groom for this wedding
  • If you say no, he will accept your answer, but will be there, supporting you and hoping someday you’ll say yes to a spontaneous marriage proposal
  • However, if you say yes, he walks you out there, head held high, heart soaring, a small smile on his face
  • No matter what you say, he’ll probably send a security team after him to beat him up

Saeyoung

  • Will do anything and everything to make you smile after hearing that terrible news
  • Saeyoung will try to distract you, protect you from prying wedding guests, and hack your now ex’s life simultaneously
  • He’ll even drag Saeran into the fun! or just hand off the hacking so that he can focus on distracting you more
  • Saeyoung will try his best to protect you from the pain
  • He hacks DB’s social medias and edits  any picture of him so he has devil horns, a tail, and a hitler ‘stache
  • So when you inevitably check, possibly out of habit, you see a small part of what he did
  • Also, btw, Saeyoung hacked int DB’s credit scores, managed to drop the whole thing to zero and lock it there, and he also got the IRS to look into him, just to fuck with him 😈

V

  • When he hears what happened, he just asks what you want to do now
  • Is there anything he can do for you? To help you?
  • If you say, “Take me home” he will escort you home
  • If you say, “hold me” he will hold you and hopes never to let go
  • He take care of you anyway you ask him to
  • The only time V says no, is when you ask for something that’s bad for you (like your phone, because you keep staring at that picture of DB in Vegas for some reason, like you can’t believe your eyes)
  • V is just very compassionate and giving, and eventually helps you through things, even if it’s only piece by piece
  • might ask Jumin to get a security team to track down DB and do something about him

Saeran

  • Oh, this guy is so dead
  • He took a snap chat? Well, guess what, Saeran is a hacker and can not only trace his location, but fuck with everything around him
  • This DB is going to pay for making you cry
  • Saeran takes all the guys money, uses it on things for you to make you feel better afterwards
  • Seriously, on DB’s dime, Saeran arranges an entire day at a nice, fancy spa with a massage, a facial, mani-pedi, haircut, the works, all for you
  • Of course he doesn’t tell you any of this because you wouldn’t approve
  • He also pays a few guys off (again, on DB’s time) to go “rough up” DB
  • He watches the whole thing from a distance, recording it all with his phone

Part 1 (It’s not really that necessary to read it to understand what’s going on)

Kim Jongdae (Chen) x Reader

Summary: Your parents gave you up so you had no choice but to become his wife.

Genre: Mafia AU, angst, fluff

Word count: 988

“Don’t cry. I will take care of you better than your parents ever did.” he took the papers out of your hand after wiping your tears away and sat down on the opposite side of the table. He kept looking at you but you avoided making eye contact.

“Talk to me.” but you didn’t say a word. He sighed and stood up. You followed his every move. He came up to you and gently lifted your chin, so your eyes would meet. You stared at each other for a few seconds when he kissed you out of the blue.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” you shoved him away.

“What? Can’t a man kiss his wife?” he asked. “There is even that saying, what was it? You may now kiss the bride?”

You didn’t want to admit it but he was right, you were his wife now. You probably had a gloomy expression on your face so he sighed again and picked you up bridal style.

“Could you stop carrying me everywhere? I said I can walk on my own.”

“Why? I could get used to this, it gives me a very nice view when I look down.”

“Oh my God! How can he flirt in this situation, he can’t read the atmosphere at all.” you thought as he went out of the room.

“Where are you taking me?” you asked as he passed a door after door, his men’s eyes following you. He ignored your question and started humming, when you listened to it more closely it was the wedding march.

“Jongdae, don’t.”

“You’re no fun.” he laughed but didn’t stop. You tried to remember the way you came from but quickly lost track after so many turns. Just how big is this place? He took you up a few sets of stairs and you finally reached a big wooden door, he pushed it open with his feet and laid you down on the bed.

“This is where you will be staying for a while.” he said standing up.

“I’m sorry but I’m going to have to lock you in here. Maybe that way you will behave and won’t try to escape again.” he went to the door. “I will come check on you every once in a while.” he told you closing and locking them.

“Yeah right.” you thought, there is no way you can sit still and do nothing. You checked the balcony door and to your surprise it wasn’t locked. You opened the window and looked around, you were on the third floor, so no way getting out through here. Maybe you should try the ventilation shaft in bathroom again, you found a note in the sink that said “You won’t fit in. I measured it.” Great. Just great. Well at least the bathroom is spacious, this whole room compared to what you saw before was really fancy. There was everything here that you could need, even a TV and a laptop. A laptop! You quickly turned it on, maybe you can contact someone but the internet access was restricted. Does he have a hacker with him or something, he really thought about everything. Your eyes stopped on the closet, you checked it out and it was full of clothes.

“I guess I should get changed, I have nothing better to do anyways and I have been wearing the same dress for at least two days.” you thought. “But first a shower.”

You took your time washing every inch of your body, the water was warm and soothing. After about two hours you finally came out. Jongdae was sitting on the bed and whistled to you.

“Well that’s a sight I would love to see every day.” you got all shy and quickly put the bathrobe on because the only thing you were wearing was your lingerie.

“What do you want?”

“To talk.”

“I have got nothing to say.”

“Well maybe now you don’t but I want you to get used to my company.”

He kept coming to see you a few times every single day. At first he only made small talk but eventually you started to enjoy his presence, it was nice to talk with someone even if you avoided saying too much. He was generally a very nice guy with a bright smile and a good sense of humour, he was about your age and you had no idea how would someone like him get into the mafia business. You were sure if he went to college or something, he would have girls falling for him left and right. Maybe if you two met under different circumstances you could have been friends but the situation you were in right now prevented you to look past that and open up to him. Before you knew it about a month has passed. One day, just out of curiosity you decided to try opening the room door and to your surprise it actually worked. Not waiting any longer you poked your head out but there was nobody in sight. You slowly stepped out and headed to the stairs. You found this strange but considered yourself lucky. You reached the second floor and froze when you saw Jongdae leaning on the railing.

“I didn’t forget to lock it, if that’s what you’re thinking.” he said, turning to you. “I actually stopped locking it after a few days.” he laughed.

You couldn’t believe it, you were stupid not to try opening them sooner.

“But you were a good girl and actually behaved, not that you would have been able to escape if you found this out sooner but I guess that’s a good start to our relationship.” he said standing up straight.

He brushed a strand of hair from your face behind your ear, making you blush to which he just chuckled.

“Come with me.” he said taking your hand. “We’re going to a party.”

~ Part 3 ~

A/N: Somehow I like this story myself, maybe I will make a part 3 or something someday…  ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯

Dead (Jeff Atkins, 13 reasons)

There had been whispers about it. Jeff wasn’t a drinker to begin with. He was always the designated driver and even when he wasn’t he never had more than two or three beers. That particular night you’d been absolutely bombarded with math and science homework. He’d begged you to come to the party with him. You’d thought about it, but declined in the end. He kissed your cheek and told you he wanted to go to breakfast in the morning and that he’d be there to pick you up at 9:30. You wouldn’t be going to breakfast. In fact the next time you saw your boyfriend it was under very different circumstances. It was six hours later in the middle of the night. He was in a body bag. He was dead. Over what they called a drunk driving accident. Jeff was deemed drunk by most everyone at the scene. Everyone except you and his mother. Of course your opinion on how it happened didn’t matter as much as the fact that he was dead, whether he’d been drunk or not. You’d gone spiraling out of control. So much so that your mother forced you to take the rest of the semester off of school, joining independent studies. It didn’t do any good. You just felt more lonely. Jeff’s presence lacked even more and there was rarely a distraction. You didn’t feel any better about him being gone by the time you had finished your time in independent studies. You felt the same as when you’d first entered independent studies, so you had no problem when it came time for you to come back to school. Still a zombie, of course, and it didn’t help that your friend Hannah Baker had committed suicide during your absence from school. You knew you looked bad. You knew you had dark circles under your eyes. You knew you’d broken out from not eating right or regularly. You knew your hair was in the bun because you hadn’t bothered to shower, turning to perfume and deodorant instead. You opened your locker, shoving your books into it, you were back at it. Everyone was in their usual spots, nothing had really changed since you’d left. Except that Jessica and Justin were no longer together. Zach had gotten dumped by your best friend after the tapes were released. He’d known too much, she said, to keep it all a secret from the people who deserved to know. He’d borderline stalked her for a while. She’d threatened to move across the country with her aunt and uncle if he didn’t leave her alone. So he did. Nothing changed with Bryce. At least not yet. The fact that he was a rapist had gotten out. You’d heard things about Bryce and girls and parties, but not about Jessica and Hannah. You hid your face in your locker as you looked at your phone. You got a text every morning from Jeff’s mother. They varied in what they said. Today’s said “hello beautiful, your mom said I could pick you up after school and we could go to the mall. We also want you to stay for dinner.” You had your license but you hadn’t wanted to drive and your parents hadn’t trusted you to drive since Jeff’s accident. You were scared of cars now. You were also scared of alcohol.
“You’re back.” You hear from behind you. You turn to see Justin Foley. There’s concern in his eyes, like he knows that there’s a great chance you don’t want to be talking to him. And that you won’t forgive him. Forgive him for staying quiet when anything but that would have been a better option. He’d stayed quiet knowing his friend had raped not only Hannah baker, who would of course go on to kill herself, but his own girlfriend.
“Yeah.” You responded, not looking up from your phone as you texted Mrs. Atkins back.
“You look good.” He smiled at you. You locked your phone and slammed your locker closed, startling Justin.
“I’ve learned to accept pity but I’ll never accept being lied to, Foley.” You looked him dead in the eyes before moving to walk away.
“Seriously, Y/N! Given the circumstances you look really good. I don’t know how many people could survive what you’ve gone through.” By the end of his message he’s just white noise and you continued to walk.
“I’m not so sure I did.” You mumbled, leaving the jock in the dust. You knew he’d been having his own struggles. Hell, he’d been having his own problems since the day he’d been born to his waste of space mother. But that boy had let himself become a bystander for rape on account of somehow owing it to his rapist friend. There was no use telling him what you thought, he knew he was in the wrong and he’d heard it a lot. Marcus smiled at you as you continued down the hall. You found yourself walking towards him.
“Hey Y/N how are y-” you cut his formalities off.
“Is Y/FN at school yet?” Marcus was quite obviously caught off guard. His words fumbled together a bit.
“Uh, well, yeah. She tends to not go through the halls a lot anymore. She avoids us a lot.” Marcus explained. He didn’t give much eye contact.
“I knew that much, thanks.” Again, you were stopped before you could walk away.
“Will you guys ever talk to me again?” Zach’s familiar voice took over.
“This is your first attempt to talk to me as far as I’m concerned.” You crossed your arms. He looked as though he was in an extreme amount of pain.
“I’ve called and texted you for months.” Zach looked at the ground.
“One text of the many was you asking about me. The rest was you trying to get to Y/FN because she blocked you on everything. Your motives were not the most selfless, Zach Dempsey. Reassess yourself and your self righteous nature.” You spun on your heels and walked out of the room. You see your best friend talking to a girl named Skye, one of the only people either of you could stand the be around in the school anymore.
“Saw you talking the some henchmen.” Skye said, staring at her fingernails, which were painted black.
“Strictly to see where you were.” Skye smiled a little. Y/FN turned and hugged you.
“I’m glad you’re back, normal is what you need right now.” She said. Once you pulled away from your best friend, you saw someone coming. Clay Jenson. Lanky, kinda dorky Clay Jenson. The Clay Jenson that brought you free candy and free movie ticket vouchers after Jeff died. But this was also, and most certainly not least, the Clay Jenson featured on the tapes. The Clay Jenson that knew girls got raped, that knew a lot about the night Jeff died. Including that it wasn’t Jeff’s fault at all. In fact, he knew he wasn’t drunk and that it was Sheri that was drunk and had caused Jeff’s death. There was a handful of people that knew it wasn’t Jeff’s fault. The people that were featured on the tapes. Clay was featured on the tapes and so was Justin and so was Marcus and so was Zach. They saw you yanked out of school for being mentally unstable and not being able to understand how Jeff did this and why he was drunk at all. There were answers, and no one gave them to you until the tapes were handed to the police. You knew when the public knew. Nothing hurt more than that. And that’s why you hated those boys. And Courtney and Jessica and Alex and Tyler and every other god forsaken person who earned themselves a tape by being an insensitive asshole.
“Hey Y/N.” You looked over at Clay, his hands were stuffed in his pockets as he stared at you nervously. You looked at him, blinked twice, and looked away.
“You look good.” Silence.
“I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.” You can feel Clay looking at you, but you won’t look at him. There’s a short pause.
“Y/N I know I should have said something to you as soon as I knew but it was a lot more complicated than it se-” you found yourself waving your hands in the air begging him to stop speaking.
“You’re going to listen for a moment.” Clay nodded, finally able to make eye contact with you.
“Jeff and I were going to apply to all the same colleges, did he ever tell you that?” Clay nodded his head. You and Jeff had already planned on marriage. Everyone knew it.
“Did you know we were going to share an apartment right away instead of dorms?” Clay gulped, looking at the other two girls nervously.
“He talked about you constantly, Y/N.” You rolled your eyes at his words.
“People have been talking about me constantly. It’s my turn to speak.” Clay shut his mouth quickly.
“Wanna know something I’m sure you weren’t aware of?” Clay’s eyes filled with more fear by the second.
“Did you know that the day after I saw Jeff dragged away in a body bag is the day I miscarried our baby?” Clay knew he wouldn’t speak but his mouth fell open from the shock and not knowing what else to do.
“So yeah, maybe you can forgive yourself for not always being there for Hannah. And maybe Jessica will forgive Justin someday and maybe, just maybe Y/FN will give Zach another chance. But guess who doesn’t have the tools or the people to move on? Me. My boyfriend is dead and my baby is dead. And my future relies on me being a zombie through life, hopefully getting decent enough grades to shuffle through the rest of my life because there will never be someone who makes me feel and love the way Jeff did. And I’ll never be able to have a baby made up of more love. Everything will be me settling because the best of what life has to offer is quite literally dead.” The bell rings but no one moves, and everyone just looks at you as hot tears stream down your face.
“Y/FN, go tell Zach how much you still love him and how much you’re willing to fight for each other. And Skye, tell Clay how you’ve been in love with him since the sixth grade and how you’d be really pumped to go out with him. Because life’s short and sometimes even shorter than expected. No time is put on this earth to be wasted. Love each other.” You let out a shaky breath before turning and heading to English class. Jeff would be proud. In that moment you knew maybe you would be fine.

wc : 3.4k

author’s note : i didn’t think this through oh my god nine fucKING LETTERS I DID NOT THINK THIS THROUGH i still did it tho enjoy loves

Peter had a kind heart, the softest you’d ever encountered before, and it was the pure goodness inside him that made you begin to fall for him in the first place. He sat beside you, a respectable distance settling between your bodies simply because he was a commendable gentleman and despite everything, despite all his feelings and wants and thoughts about you, he didn’t want you make assumptions about the type of boy he was. He wanted you to continue liking him for quite sometime, which is precisely the reason he was sliding his letters over to you now.

They were his prized possessions from over these past few months, all ten of them, though you’d already had the tenth read to you, and while he had never really expected this moment to come to fruition, he was happy that it was. “So, um, should I read them out loud?” He sifted through the pile to find the first one, and held it out in front of him once it was located. You arranged yourself comfortably on the bed, legs crossed and a ridiculously large smile on your face that Peter couldn’t possibly say no to.

He cleared his throat, ducking his head toward the paper.

   Dear Y/N,

Hi. It’s Peter. If you’re reading this, which I highly doubt that you are because why would you be, you know it’s me, Peter, so I probably didn’t need to repeat that like eight times. Whatever. This is pen. I can’t erase it now so I’ll just keep it because the messiness of crossing out all these screwed up sentences would give me anxiety. I figured I’d write this to you because, well, I don’t have the balls to say any of this face to face. I can safely say that such a thing isn’t what I’m ready for. Maybe one day. God, I hope so. I know that if I got a letter like this, I’d be really happy, since it just means that someone was thinking of you and wanted to show it. I hope that one day, if you’re reading this, it makes you happy to know that I think about you. Or maybe you’ll be creeped out. I hope not. That’d be really depressing. Anyways, I just wanted you to know that I think you’re really pretty and I like when you smile at me in school and yeah. You make me happy. Thanks for that. So yeah. Next letter will be way more thoughtful and intricate. I’m new to this writing this. You don’t care. You’re not even reading this. Okay bye.

Peter was flushed with embarrassment by the time he uttered the last two words, looking at his knees and laughing a bit before looking back up at you. He was glad to see that you weren’t giving him a mocking smirk. “That was adorable,” you laughed, rubbing his back encouragingly. “Go on. Please.” You leaned down to kiss his cheek gently, and his face lit up where your lips met his skin. He found the next letter immediately and faced you as he read it.

   Dear Y/N,

As promised, I’ve taken it upon myself to gather my thoughts before writing this to you and I hope I am much more coherent than I was in the initial one. I’m trying here. I learned some new words, too. I more of a whiz when it comes to science and mathematics. I’m decent at English, but you probably know that because you sit behind me. You’re amazing in English class. You probably know that just because you’re you and you know how you perform in your own classes. All right, so maybe I’m not as coherent as I thought I was gonna be. Moving on. In English today the teacher passed out different essays to everyone and we had to peer edit each other’s work. I didn’t get your essay but Ned did and I forced him to give it to me. I think he was just putting up a fight because he likes to torture me, which is fine. What are best friends for, right? Well, I read your essay and you’re probably the most wonderful writer I’ve ever read from. Seriously. You have this way with words and it makes me wish I was more of a writer so that I could express the way you make me feel in better sentence structures than the mediocre ones I’m forming at this very second. You’re an excellent writer. If you ever write a book and you have a book signing in some Barnes and Noble in the city or in The Strand, I’m gonna be the first in line, without a doubt. I’ll buy like fifty signed copies. I swear. Write a book. You’d wow everyone, and I think everyone deserves to read a bit of the Y/N Y/L/N’s work. You’d be doing the world a disservice if you didn’t share your talents, but it’s up to you, of course. Just think about it though.

“Aw, Peter,” you cooed, throwing your arms around him and pressing your lips against his quickly, your face burning but your smile infinite. “You’ll be the first to read my book when it’s finished. You’ll be the one it’s dedicated to.” In response, the shy boy nuzzled his nose affectionately against your cheek, at a loss for words because this girl in front of him was everything he could have dreamed of and more.

    Dear Y/N,

We were partners in Chemistry today. I’m sorry if I came off like a rude, inconsiderate jerk. I’m gonna be honest right now. I’m shy. You make me shy. I was quiet because if I had talked to you the way that I wanted to, I would’ve be a stupid and stuttering mess and that’s not how I want to talk to you. I know we’ve had conversations before and they’ve been fine but a lot of stuff is different now and whenever we talk I get these butterflies in my stomach that make it hard to think or breathe or talk or look at you or hold things or do basic human tasks. So, that’s why I wouldn’t talk to you. I just didn’t want to look like an idiot in front of the coolest and loveliest girl I know, also known as you. Please don’t hate me. I don’t want you to hate me.

He coughed, embarrassed again, but he didn’t let that deter him from reading you the rest of the letters. He’d never let anything deter him from talking to you again.

   Dear Y/N,

I think I’m in over my head. With everything, not just with you. I can’t really mention specifics, not even to you despite the fact that we’re not acquaintances anymore. We’re more like kind of friends, which is great! It means progress. Progress is good. It’s the one good thing lately. I’ll keep it vague. I get beat up every night and then every day I get picked on by Flash. He doesn’t hit or anything- I don’t think he’d be very good at it- but being called Penis Parker all the freaking time takes a toll on a guy, you know? It pretty much sucks. And I can’t tell May what’s going on because I know for a fact that she’ll freak out and everyone knows that if May starts freaking out, I’m gonna freak out even harder, and that’s a scary sight to see. Plus I had to quit Robotics and I really wanted to take the team to the competition this year. I also quit band but I’m not as upset about that. The uniform sucks. It’s too tight. I guess I’m getting muscles. It’s kind of weird since I’ve always been scrawny but I don’t know, it’s interesting enough. I’m not complaining. Maybe you like that in a guy. I don’t know. I try not to think about what you like in a guy because I’m pretty sure your dream dude won’t be anything like me. It’s fine. I’m happy admiring from afar. I like you a lot. I’m good with just being friends if that’s your wish. I don’t know why I’m telling you all these things that I am, but I feel like if you were really here and watching me write this, if you could read this, you’d listen and you’d understand. You always listen, even when I’m rambling, even though we don’t talk much.

When he stopped talking and reached for the next letter, taking the faded blue piece of paper from his stack, he knew the feeling pooling inside his stomach was nothing short of elation. He was right, as he often was. You listened. You did.

   Dear Y/N,

Today, you punched Flash in the nose. No one saw it coming. But I think I fell in love with you right then and there. Or at least, I fell deeper in like with you. He called me Penis Parker again and you grabbed his shoulder and yanked him back, you told him to leave me be and he said that if you were sticking up for a nobody like me, you were nothing better. He was wrong. You’re a thousand times better. You stuck up for me and I’ll never be able to repay you for that. You just looked at me and I’ve never seen you look so fiery or so livid but you did and you raised your fist and you punched him and he was bleeding and you didn’t stop to help him, you grabbed my arm and you marched me away from them. No one has ever done something like that for me before. Ned says that it’s because you might like me, too, and I think I’m gonna hold on to the hope for a while longer. I want someone as kind as you to like me. And let’s face, you were a badass. It was epic. And I seriously hope you like me back, you amazingly awesome human being.

“You should really listen to Ned more often,” you said, leaning your head on his shoulder and pretending that you hadn’t kind of been tearing up this whole time. Peter pretend not to notice like the chivalrous boy that he was and nodded, chuckling. “Yeah, I should, right?”

  Dear Y/N,

This one’s gonna be short, because May is bothering me about who I’m always writing to and I promised I’d explain. I hope you don’t mind that I’m gonna tell her about you. These letters just help me blow off some steam and I guess it makes me feel pretty good to think maybe you’d potentially wanna read them someday. I don’t know. I think it’d be cool to give them to you, but I doubt that day will come. I think I already wrote that in a letter. Damn. I’ll move on. You got detention for punching Flash, sorry about that. Still, you told me that I shouldn’t feel bad about it because the guy had it coming. He totally did. You’re really cool. I’m gonna stop now because this letter is lame bye I like you.

You poking the dimple emerging on Peter’s cheek and he wrinkled his nose, cringing back. You kissed the little indent. He didn’t want you to ever stop kissing him. The little I like you placed at the end of most of the letters really sealed the deal.

   Dear Y/N,

Aunt May is now dying to meet you. I’m so sorry. I hope you never actually meet her because she’ll probably ask you to marry me and hit on you on my behalf just because she’s afraid I won’t be able to do it myself. She thinks you’re awesome. It’s probably because you punched someone. May is very big on girl power. I think you’d like her. Maybe you could meet her one day? I don’t know why I’m asking you’re not actually reading this and it’s a rhetorical question so yeah. Did I mention I like you? You gave me your book to read today after I mentioned that the series was something I was interested in. Seriously, you just whipped out the whole series and told me to read it whenever. You have the nicest smile when you smile at me. Please stop having such a nice smile. It’s unfair for the rest of us and I keep liking you more and more. It’s getting out of hand. Ned thinks so, too.

“See, that was a situation where you shouldn’t have listened to Ned.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Should I keep reading?”

“I wouldn’t forgive you if you stopped.”

  Dear Y/N,

I can’t stop thinking about you. It’s going to drive me mad. I like you so much it’s gonna suffocate me. Talking to you is the highlight of my day. My affection for you keeps growing and growing and growing as time passes us by and I don’t know what to do about because if I tell you I could either lose you or have the opportunity to be with the greatest person I’ve ever known besides my aunt and my uncle and Tony Stark,  but if I don’t tell you I could lose you. Either way, I could potentially never be with you. And I can’t take the risk. Maybe I should just get over you. Maybe I’d be better off.

Without wait, Peter flipped to the final letter.

    Dear Y/N,

It’s been awhile. Sorry about that. I thought I’d try to move on. I tried to like Liz, I figured I could at least try, but she doesn’t compare even though she’s very nice to me, too. She’s not you. You’re the only you. You’re Y/N and I like Y/N not Liz and you’re Y/N and I no longer know what I’m saying. Michelle told me you’re avoiding me because of Liz and that you think I like her and it’s making you upset. Don’t be upset with me. That’s the last thing I wan. I just wanna scream HEY Y/N YOU LOVELY HUMAN BEING YOU I LIKE YOU DON’T HATE ME BECAUSE I LIKE YOU AND YEAH I LIKE YOU DATE ME LOVE ME. I said love. I’m gonna go now. Bye.

Peter placed it atop the stack, and you added the tenth one there as well. He wasn’t going to be embarrassed about his feelings. They were right there, right in front of you, his heart already read aloud and listened to you and appreciated by you. The thought seized him and made him lace his fingers through yours, shy smile shy eyes that met yours before closing and kissing you, and everything about him was soft. Soft lips that slanted against yours and kissed you in the way that anyone in love would want to be kissed, with love and with passion and as if he’d never want to do anything else for the rest of his life. Soft hands that tentatively found their way to your hips but didn’t go beyond there, soft hands that caressed your face in that adoring way he did and wound in your hair. Soft eyes that locked on yours and didn’t look away when you both broke for a second, your breathing labored. His forehead pressed against yours. He didn’t want to pull away, ever.

May casually strolled into the room, and Peter pulled back quickly but with annoyance, raising his eyebrows at his aunt. She’d let the boy have his kiss, happy- so happy- that her Peter was getting what he deserved, but she was still the parental figure and parental figures had to be responsible. That’s what she had been told, anyway. “Sorry, honey, I just wanted to be introduced to that girl you were telling me about just, like, two days ago.” She said cheerfully, smiling adoringly at her nephew and then at you. You grinned back, standing up to introduce yourself.

“I’m Y/N, it’s really nice to meet you, Mrs. Parker,” you stuck your hand out, but May pulled you in for a hug instead.

“You can just call me May.” She gave you a squeeze, very motherly, and you missed Peter’s outstanding beam as he watched his two favorite girls embrace. May lightly shoved Peter’s shoulder, then said, “Peter, are you gonna invite her to stay for dinner or what?”

“Maaayyyy, let me get my own dates,” he pouted, ushering her out of the room. When she left, her laugh still ringing throughout the apartment, Peter leaned causally against his doorframe in a painful attempt to look cool. “So, Y/N, would you stay for dinner?” Before you could reply with an obvious, May’s voice called, “Or forever? You could stay forever. I’d be on board with that!”

Peter blushed, rushing out of the room to tell her to keep quiet, but you didn’t mind one bit. Staying with Peter Benjamin Parker forever didn’t sound like a bad life, not one bit.

You hadn’t left Peter’s apartment until nearly ten o’clock, and even then, he had rode the train home with you to prolong the night. He kissed you at your doorstep twice, once on the lips, swift and sweet, and then once on the forehead, tender and caring. Then, he left, continuously looking back at your grinning face so much that he walked straight into your mailbox and nearly squashed a stray cat that had been wandering by. You smiled all the way up to your bedroom, thinking about the adorable idiot that had ensnared your heart in his hands. That night, he wrote you another letter, this time with the intent of giving it to you.

He delivered it at your locker a week later (he had spent that week editing it over and over again, making sure his feelings were true), appearing just as you were shutting the metal doors with an envelope in his outstretched hand. He was fidgeting, yes, but he was excited, and you took the letter in your hands after leaping into his arms and sending him flying across the hallway. He didn’t fall, though, which was a plus.

   Dear Y/N,

I’ve heard from a few people that I don’t know what love is because I’m fifteen and technically my brain hasn’t fully developed. Here’s the thing, though: I don’t care. There’s not one part of me that cares about what science says right now. They can say what they want. Maybe, just maybe, I don’t know what love is. Maybe I haven’t the slightest clue. But maybe is a word that means you can never really know and that everything just a possibility. So, there’s only a very slight possibility that I don’t know what love is, but there’s a greater possibility that I do. However, for now, I’ll tell you what I do know. I know that when you smile at me even for just a second I can feel my entire heart quicken in its beats. I feel my pulse racing. I know that when you look at me in that soft and sweet way you do I feel for just a second that nothing could ever possibly hurt me as long as you keep looking at me like that, forever. I know your laugh makes me blush and that when you kiss me I’m completely invincible. I know that every song on my playlist can connect back to you someway somehow and I know that the sound of your voice can make my whole day.

If that’s not love, then I have no clue what love is. I’m pretty sure it’s love, though. Correct me if I’m wrong, my love. I’m pretty sure that these feelings that flutter around my stomach day and night and make miss you even when you’ve only been gone for five minutes are love, because what else could they possibly be? I love you, and you’ve made the world, my world, a better place just by making yourself at home in my heart. So thank you for letting me love you and loving me in return. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repay you, just like I can’t repay you for punching Flash, but I plan on spending as long as you’ll allow me trying to do so.

Your very in love boyfriend who knows this is too sappy but doesn’t care,

       Peter Benjamin Parker :)

He added the smiley face in, a quick little doodle, and sometimes you liked to joke that the smiley face was what made you know you were in love with him. It wasn’t. It was everything else about that wonderful boy. But it the smiley face was certainly adorable.

Well... Here’s the thing...

Request: Hi dear! I was hoping I could request a Peter Parker imagine where the Reader is super shy and is Tony’s niece and they are up late studying together at Peter and May’s apartment (the Reader and Peter are together) and she misses her curfew and May insists that she stays over since it’s late and Tony gets mad and protective when he finds out the next morning? It would just be really cute and Peter would worry about the Reader and make sure she is okay and feels safe with him? Made by @thecoffeestudyblr

A/N: Here you go! Sorry, Danielle and I haven’t posted in a while. We weren’t writing anything good, so we made the mutual decision to post when we can write something good, so we won’t post as often as we started. Please please PLEASE let us know if you have any criticism. We would love feedback, positive or negative.

“Peter, I’m telling you, the answer is 2x,” you said, resisting the urge to throw your calculus book at the boy sprawled on the floor across from you. Peter sighed and shook his head, his eyes closed.

“(Y/N), I’m telling you, the answer is 3,” Peter answered, his tone calm and even. There was a hint of sympathy in his eyes as he finally opened them, glancing at you. He seemed saddened by the fact that the two of you were disagreeing. You turned your gaze from Peter and his big doe brown eyes and stared at the pile of papers in front of your crossed legs.

“I did the thing minus the thingy over ‘h’,” You answered, staring at your paper, your insecurity over your math-solving skills creeping up. You buried your hands in your hair, refusing to look at Peter, knowing you were going to get that look; the look that made you weak at the knees and you completely melt inside. You felt Peter shift across the floor, careful not to touch your papers and crinkle them as he scooted over to sit next to you. You caught a whiff of his cologne; faint, but enough for you to notice. You savored the smell as Peter leaned over, planting his hand on the floor, behind your back, and tilted his head to look at your paper. You stiffened slightly at how close he was, but you knew he didn’t mean anything by it, so you tried to hide your thumping heart and trembly fingers as best you could.

And If It Ever Happened (No One Has To Know) ~ Thomas Jefferson x Reader

Because despite being stuck on a bus for a three hour long car ride to a youth conference with a bunch of other awesome hyperactive candy addicted teens, I’m bored and still lacking a life. Also, for SJ’s Submission Sunday. Because by the heck not?

Or: Thomas learns about colors, his jacket is explained, and (Y/N) makes plans.

Warnings: Brain aneurism, child coping mechanisms, arguing, car accidents, bad French and Irish (Google Translate, people, bc I know nothing) character death, mentions of suicide, depression, hospitalization, a couple people get punched, mentions of homosexual relationships (in case that makes you uncomfortable - sorry never gonna change it those two are too precious in my mind) also it’s my first imagine so it probably sucks (be warned!) but it will sort of get better (ish) towards the middle of the story (beginning is on the bad side of OK and I’m not sure about the ending.), probably insanely OOCish and Mary Sue/Gary Lue ish characters that tend to go with shit writing like mine, plus this is the first time I’ve written an imagine, and my writing was already sucky enough as it was, so take that how you will.

So have fun with that

At four years old, Thomas Jefferson knew enough to know how to understand others, and what he understood was that all the boys on the block thought that pink or purple or any color reminiscent of them were for girls. (Except for red, because red is cool, like fire and blood and a knight’s horsehair plumes; and blue, because blue is cool, too, like ice and deep sea diving and the big, big sky that all those jets flew through that they were going to fly someday.)

He knew all the colors in the rainbow: red and orange and yellow and green and blue and purple, and black because that’s always what was between the other colors, and white because that was what was on either end of it in the shape of big, fluffy clouds.

Not pink.

Pink didn’t count, he thought.

At age six, his mother takes him to the local hardware store to look at paint samples, and he looks up at the giant wall with a gaping jaw as he takes in the impossible number of colors-within-colors. (Even pink.)

He sees some sort of grey splotch near the top of a yellow card, though, and doesn’t like it. He decides it doesn’t belong there.

“Mama, why is there another color on this one?”

She looks at him, brow risen in slight confusion, before she realized what his little finger is pointing to and chuckles.

She bends down real, real low, so they’re at the same eye level.

She’s tall, he thinks, not for the first time. I bet she could fight giants.

“Thomas,” she tells him, a small smile on her face and an amused twinkle in her eye. “This isn’t supposed to be another color. This is the name of the color. Like green is called green, and orange is called orange, but these ones are…,” she paused for a moment, mulling over the words as she tried to find a way to explain it to his young mind. “Different,” she finally settled. “They’re longer, and weirder.”

“Oh.”

“Like this one,” she took down a shade of light, light orange and yellow, that reminds him of when those very colors clash on the - the nex - neckt - nectarine. “They call it Brooklyn Skyrise.”

He frowned. That didn’t sound like a color.

If he looked at it, it was actually really nice.

“What’s Brooklyn?”

“It’s a city in New York, Thommy.”

He stared at it a little while longer before nodding his head firmly. “I’m going to live in New York,” he decided confidently.

His mother’s eyebrows rose.

“I’m sure you will, Thomas.”

(And if he didn’t have any idea where New York was, then he didn’t say anything.)

She then pulled down another one, a murky auburn, leaning more toward red, and he is reminded of leaves right before fall.

“Here’s another one. This one’s called Dragon’s Blood.”

His grin lit up his face. “Cool!”

He is seven when he finally meets her.

She is bold and she is brilliant and despite the fact that she is a girl, she seems to possibly be one of the only people in that class that he might actually like.

Besides James, of course.

He decides to save himself the humiliation and stick with becoming friends with James.

It’s okay, though.

He’s not the only one who’s noticed you.

It’s when you hit another boy that he finally gets the courage to talk to you, opposed to all the other boys who look upon you with both awe and fear, and scattered every time you came near.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey,” was the only answer he got back.

“What’s your name?”

“(Y/N). What about you?”

“I’m Thomas.”

“Cool.”

It was quiet for a little while.

“I saw that you punched that boy,” he informed her.

“Everyone saw it, dummy,” she shot back. “It was during recess.”

His face grew hot and he practically recoiled, not knowing at first what to say to that.

Star Above the Waters.

TW: major depictions of suicide and suicidal thoughts, major character death.

The icy cold drops of rain pierce deep into Lance’s tear strewn cheeks, pale with cold as he shivered. It was like little needles flecking his skin and leaving him numb and frigid.

Above him, storm clouds cracked and thundered and rolled, making a symphony of Mother Nature’s deadly desire.

Somewhere in front of him, the sky lit up with light like a match in a dark room, only now it was a lighting strike as it buried itself and made its mark somewhere in the world.

Good for it. It left a lasting impression when it was gone. Something Lance would never be able to accomplish.

He had tried countless times.

Either to be noticed, to be popular, to exist in the eyes of people who weren’t apart of his routine life.

He went to whatever lengths he could, tried to stay out of any negative situation.

Lance was always a people pleaser. He always did his very best to make sure everyone he encountered was left with something good to say about him when he was gone.

But any good start with anyone, would only crumble to bad in some way and have him in ruins. Failure.

It seemed like other people could do it just fine. They could be just like Lance and yet they would be the one to rise up in the world, while he was only sinking lower.

Literally and mentally.

Over the past few weeks Lance had got to thinking pretty hard about life. Not about how to go forward with it, what he could make of it, or even what he had planned in life as it went on.

Lance thought more so on the side of ending it. Which, in that way, could be counted as the same as making it better.

Or at least that’s how Lance saw it.

He’d been looking at the possibilities for weeks, like a kid in the candy store. Any way to get out of the world that he couldn’t stand up in, only put deeper and deeper into a hole that the people around him were digging for him.

In all honesty, maybe he had a shovel himself, but that had only been for a little while. It was a small shovel.

Hanging was out of the question. He read too many history books and seen too many movies to know that if it’s done with the slightest flaw, it won’t be easy.

You have to take in people’s height and weight, and the way the noose is tied in relativity to it all.

He would leave the math to Pidge.

Second option had been using those skills with a firearm that he had. But in all honesty that was too messy and he didn’t like the idea of risking it not going right, distorting his face for the rest of his life.

Although he knew the proper way was to put the shotgun directly behind his ear, he didn’t want to wimp out at something only he could control. Pull the trigger or not, there’s too much room for mind changing.

Lance had already tried pills. But he had already been on so many medications to numb the race of his heart, the workings of his mind, all the boy had gotten in return was a nice euphoria for a few hours.

The stomach pumping afterward wasn’t as pleasant, so again there is too much room for flaw. It needed to be just right.

So here he was.
Standing atop this mere ledge as the thing he loved most fell down around him.

You may be thinking that there is too much chance of let go or not let go, fall or not fall, in this scenario.

But that’s why he chose today of all days.
This ledge of all ledges. It was perfect.

Below the 3 ½ inch strip of concrete his feet balanced on, roared the sea. Lance had always loved the water.

A lighthouse. Dark. 5 pm.

Lance had learn most suicides happened between the times of noon and six in the evening, so why not just blend in with the crowd, since he could never stand out in it?

It was about 230 feet tall from the water, and here Lance stood at 198 feet above.

The boy closed his eyes, which were warm with tears but the rain made his skin cold. He felt a swaying motion, and he could hear his heartbeat in his ears.

Everything has an expiration date, whether human or animal or thing.

Nothing doesn’t not come to an end.

It can be chosen by you or for you.
Expected or unexpected.

A thought came to his head, standing hundreds of feet above the water that would soon become one with him and finalize his expiration date.

Lance had always tried to stand out, take risks, try and be noticed and try to be civil.

How come he lived in a world where ‘Take A Life’ was something all you had to do was turn on the television to hear. A social norm almost, something sad, but no you don’t really try and think about it that much.

But ‘Take A Chance’? How is it fair that it seems almost impossible, scary even. Frowned upon, because why would you do that?

What sort of world was that?

Lance lifted on hand from the hold behind him, wiping his cheeks. If he lifted the other, he would fall.

He leaned forward, his free hand swaying at his side as he stared at the back of his eyelids. That questioned repeated itself.

What kind of world is that?

Lance shook his head with a low chuckle, a sad sound that made it past his lips but was then snatched away by the wind.

A tired voice muttered, “Not the kind I want to live in.” With those words, Lance let go.

That wasn’t Lance.
None of them would believe that it was Lance, because how could it be?

It was held in a splayed out position, head back and mouth open, eyes closed.

It’s body was on the verge of turning blue, and had already bloated. It must have been there for hours.

It was dead. A dead, blue thing.

And even though it wore the same clothes, they all refused to believe it was the happy Cuban boy they had come to love and care for, even if he annoyed them sometimes.

They’d gone looking for him after he hadn’t shown up for dinner, and wasn’t back by ten at night.

Keith suggested they go out with flashlights.

Pidge who said wait a little longer.

Shiro who said he’d wait and see if he came back while they were out.

Hunk who found the note on Lances desk.
Shiro who read it out loud, and ran.
Pidge is the one who found it.

The body.

And it was Lance who was dead.

‘I knew someday I’d probably have to write a will or something, you know that thing old people write and families break over.

But I guess I didn’t know I’d be writing my own suicide note. Things had been pretty okay for me as a child.

I wanted to go to space, or become a marine biologist. Stars and water, either one was perfect for me because I loved them both.

Maybe I should say I’m sorry, because that’s what everyone else writes, but I’m not going to.

It would be like saying sorry for the milk expiring, or the toy that broke. I’m just another thing that had an end coming.

We all do.
But I’m not sorry.

I got to see the water, be apart of it, and I know I probably won’t look very pretty when you find me but I didn’t bother to put any makeup on when I woke up for the last time this morning.

Don’t worry, if you look up at night, I’ll look so much better as a star. Among those that I had always wanted to see.

Pidge, you’re such a strong woman and you’re smarter than I could have ever been. When you invent a code that makes memories a reality, please don’t forget about me by then and visit the good ones we had, okay?

Keith, at least from up here I can look down on your mullet, and pretend it looks a lot better than it actually is. Also, do me a favor and make sure Hunk is okay after this. You two seem close to an extent, he is going to need someone to go to. ((If he makes you something to eat, EAT IT.))

Hunk, thank you so much for being my best friend and my brother for all of these years. You’re a good bro, and I’ll make sure to put a good word in up here for you so you can be the Big Guy’s head chef. (Only if I get some snacks though.) I’m trusting you to keep Pidge in check, and make sure you feed those little mice in the shed. I love you.

Shiro, please please watch them all for me. And take care of yourself. I know you’ve been through a lot and I’m not helping any, but use them as your support and you as theirs. It’s okay to need someone, everyone needs another. Just make sure they have you, and each other, because I don’t want any of you to end up like me. Stay rad, space Dad.

I don’t care what you do with me, but whatever you do I want to be by the ocean. My final final resting place. Spread my ashes, bury my grave. Just make sure they play Beyoncé at the funeral.

You guys are out of this world.
See you later.

Stereotypical (7) gifts and a sleepover

Bucky Barnes x reader AU (short series)

Notes: swearing, flirting, implied smut, fluff, Bucky is a hopeless romantic.

A/N: With courting comes gifts! And restraint. A lot of it.

If you would’ve seen how Bucky beat himself up over making you doubt his motives, all doubt would’ve left your mind. When he returned home after dropping you off with a chaste, lingering kiss to your cheek and a soft bid goodnight, he rested his back against his closed front door and let his head thump back against it.

With a groan he closed his eyes, wondering how he could’ve been so damn stupid.

“Buck? What’re you doing?”

You felt scared at first when you met Sweet Pea. You had gone to the South Side just to find something for a project that could only be founded in the South Side of Rivedale. When you went into the Serpent hang out due to a bad storm, that’s when you met him.

“Hey, what the hell are you doing here?” You heard. You jumped in fear as you saw a Southside Serpent and some of his friends walk over to you. You backed up against the wall as you stared up at him.

“It’s raining outside and I didn’t want to ruin the supplies,” You tell him with every speck of confidence in you.

“It’s raining outside?” He asks you. You nodded before slipping away. Your heart was beating fast as you took a small table near the corner. You sat down and took out your book in your bag. You never left the house without a book.

You started to read it, helping you calm your nervousness. You heard someone take a chair and move it next to you. You looked over to see the boy from before sitting next to you. You looked back at your book quickly, hoping he wouldn’t start talking to you.

“What’s a Northsider like you, doing in the South Side?” He asks.

“I just needed some supplies for a school project. Your side of the town had what I needed for a cheaper price,” You tell him quietly.

“Isn’t money like no problem for you Northsiders?” He asks.

“Just because I live in the North Side, doesn’t mean I like to come down here once in a while for things that I won’t really need for the rest of my life. I only need these for a project,” You tell him. Your confidence boosted up a little since you hated the fact that people from the South Side just assume that you’re rich.

“I like this confident side of you,” He smirked. You blushed before looking back at your book.

“I’m Sweet Pea,” He introduced himself. You looked up to see him offering a handshake.

“Y/N,” You say softly, shaking his hand.

“I’m pretty sure the rain will stop within the next few minutes. It doesn’t seem to be raining hard for now,” He tells you.

“Good. I can try to hurry home then,” You tell him.

“I’ll give you a ride,” Sweet Pea tells you.

“You don’t have to do that,” You said quietly.

“Consider it a peace offering,” He winked over, making you hide into your book again.

Once the rain stopped, you and Sweet Pea walked outside where you shivered from the cold. From all the heat inside the Serpent hangout made the cool air colder.

“Here,” Sweet Pea said handing you his leather jacket.

“Aren’t you cold?” You asked him.

“Not really. Come on,” He said. You both went to his bike where he put your things under the seat. He handed you his helmet which you put on. You sat behind him and he turned on his motorcycle.

“If you don’t want to fall off, I suggest wrapping your arms around me,” Sweet Pea chuckled.

“Oh sorry,” You say before wrapping your small arms around his waist.

“Better hold tight, princess,” He said before driving off.

Once he had dropped you home, you handed his stuff back while he gave your’s back to you.

“That was actually fun,” You tell him.

“Maybe someday I can take you on another ride,” Sweet Pea smiles at you.

“I’m not sure my parents would like that,” You say quietly. You looked down at the ground to avoid eye contact. You felt his fingers under your chin before lifting your head up to look up at him.

“They don’t have to know,” Sweet Pea tells you.

Ever since then, you both have been together. After almost two weeks, Sweet Pea asked you out. Something between you both made you fall for each other even more. When Sweet Pea asked you to join him at the quarry, you were more than happy to join.

You were sitting in between Sweet Pea’s legs as his arms were wrapped around you. He held your hands with his as you both watched everyone have fun.

“Hey, Sweet Pea! Why don’t you and your girl join us?” One of his fellow Serpents asked.

“I’m good,” You quietly say. You were insecure about your body but you just wanted to spend time with Sweet Pea.

“What was that? I can’t hear you,” The guy laughed.

“She said she’s good you deaf idiot,” Sweet Pea yelled.

“Sorry, Sweet Pea. You’re girl is like a mouse. She’s so quiet all the time,” He defended. Sweet Pea let go of your hands before getting up. He walked over to the guy before throwing a punch.

“What the shit, Sweet Pea!” He yelled.

“Come on, Y/N,” Sweet Pea said, helping you up. You both went on his bike before he drove off.

When you were at the Serpent Hang out spot, you sat on Sweet Pea’s lap which made you even more shy. People in his gang knew that he was dating you, a Northsider, which caused them to stare at you both or talk about you both from time to time. You tried to wear his flannel and some black jeans and combat boots to look a little like them.

“So why is your girl looking like a Southsider instead of her preppy Northside style? What? Good girl gone bad for you now, Sweet Pea?” Someone laughed. Sweet Pea glared and slowly got up. You got down as soon as you felt him start to get up.

“Sweet Pea, it’s not worth it,” You tell him, holding his hand.

“I know but no one should disrespect you or our relationship,” Sweet Pea said before walking over to the guy.

“What’s wrong, Sweet Pea? We’re just messing around,” He said.

“You better apologize to Y/N or you’ll be sorry,” Sweet Pea tells him.

“Or what?”

“Toni, please help me do something,” You beg her.

“Guys, come on,” Toni said trying to do something.

“Not until he apologizes to Y/N,” Sweet Pea said.

“Why are you even defending her? She’s a Northsider. You hate Northsiders,” the guy pointed out. You looked away, knowing it was kinda true.

“Shut up,” Sweet Pea said, grabbing a fistful of the other Serpent’s shirt.

That’s when a fight between the both of them broke out. Tall Boy had to be the one to break it up.

“Both of you need to calm down. Just say your sorry and go get some air or something,” He yelled at the two.

“I’m sorry, Y/N,” The other Serpent said.

“It’s fine,” You tell him.

“Come on, Y/N,” Sweet Pea said, putting his arm around you and leaving.

When you went to his house to help clean some of the cuts he had, you both didn’t say anything.

“You shouldn’t have fought him,” You tell him.

“He disrespected my girl,” He tells you.

“I don’t care to be honest. I’ve heard worst,” You tell him.

“What?” Sweet Pea asked you. You finished cleaning up his bruises before walking to his room. You sat on his bed causing him to sit beside you as well.

“Y/N-”

“I know you want to defend me but please don’t,” You tell him.

“Why not?” Sweet Pea asked, pulling you to his lap. You wrapped your arms around him as he pulled you in a little close.

“I don’t care if people talk about me because I know that they’re just words. And they don’t have someone who loves them as much as you love me,” You tell him. Sweet Pea leaned in to give you a long kiss.

“I just never want you hurt. Emotionally or physically,” Sweet Pea tells you after had pulled away from the kiss.

“I love you,” You smile at him.

“I love you too.”

“Now, please stop getting into fights,” You tell him.

“You mean to tell me that this isn’t a good look on me?” Sweet Pea joked. You smile and giggled.

“This was a long day. Let’s just cuddle for the time being,” You tell him as you took off your shoes and lying on his bed. Sweet Pea smiled and took off his shoes before wrapping his arms around you. You closed your eyes but felt him kiss the back of your head before you took a small nap.

You pressed the button to call the elevator with a ridiculous grin on your face. If someone would have ever told you in the past that Sam Wilson would ask you out someday, you probably would have choked on your laugh. But that was exactly what had just happened. Maybe you weren’t that bad and unlikeable after all. That encounter with Sam had worked like a huge brick on your self-esteem reconstruction.

A Government Investigation

(Aight, so this is the first part of what’s probably gonna be my last big foray into @squigglydigglydoo ‘s Toon Henry AU.  I’ve had this idea since Beady Little Eyes, but I didn’t have much to go into it until now (being quite honest, I’m still not sure I have much).  It’s a much different story than any of the others, but I hope you guys enjoy it regardless.  Now without further ado. The basic premise: You don’t show a real life cartoon getting interviewed on live TV without someone in Washington wondering what’s up with that.)

Nine years.  Nine years Lawrence Lockart had worked in the CIA. And in that time, the list of useless, tedious, inane tasks he’d been given was long and disheartening.  But this, this one took the cake.

“Investigate the existence of cartoon characters existing in our world,” he muttered to himself. “What kind of absolute fucking moron…"

The short version was that a few weeks prior, Ross-n-Bendy Studios, a relatively new animation house, touting staff from the now defunct Joey Drew Studios had made national headlines with one hell of a publicity stunt.

“A live interview with Bendy himself!”

The news outlets had a field day with this.  The technology was impressive.  Larry had thought it was charming when he watched it.  Joey Drew’s Bendy was a favorite of his growing up.  He assumed they had it pre-recorded and that the cartoon character was put over the footage.  Except according to his boss, no technology outside of the normal equipment was involved.  Then he gave Larry the assignment and sent him off.

The file they had on Drew was meaty, to say the least.  He’d gotten on their radar a few years back when he’d started making some odd purchases with company funds.  Rumors started popping up too.  Something about that studio wasn’t quite right, especially near the end of it’s life.  There had been some reports of children acting “strange” after watching a Bendy cartoon, getting aggressive, or even falling ill for a few days.  Eventually parents started complaining, but since nothing could link the cartoons to it other than coincidence, nothing was done. Larry did catch one of the newer shows a while back.  Something about it was definitely off.  He’d assumed it was choppier animation; the studio didn’t quite have the budget they used to.  This was all outside of the walls of course, no one quite knew what went in inside.  Then one day Joey Drew and a number of his staff just disappeared, with the only one to come out being Henry Ross.

Now, after a 7-hour plane trip, Larry was driving to Mr. Ross’s residence to confirm that cartoons weren’t real and the higher ups were idiots.

The sign for Ross’s community came up, Verdanville Hills.  He pulled into the neighborhood and up to a curb, shifting into park and checking around the car for the slip with the address on it.  Not in the passenger seat, not under it.  Not in the back.

“Come on, where is the damn thing?”  He muttered to himself angrily.  After a good five minutes of searching and coming up empty, Larry sighed and accepted that it was lost.  He pinched the bridge of his nose.  Perfect. Time to start asking for directions.

Getting out of his car, he looked around for any of the locals.  Lucky for him, a resident was right by, an old woman.  “Excuse me, maam?” he called, “I’m looking for the residence of Henry Ross, would you be able to point me in the right direction?”

The little old lady lit up at the name and nodded vigorously.  “Of course, deary, he’s a darling man, that Henry; bit rough around the edges, but that’s normal for an old war dog like him.”

Larry nodded past the unasked-for information smilng to be polite, “I’m sure it is.  Now, about that address.”
