elentori-art This is going to be rather lengthy and I apologize for that, but there’s a lot I, and others, want to say. I think I speak on behalf of the whole margarita cult when I say this: Thank you. You’ve done so many amazing things for us that I can’t even list them all, but I shall try my best.
When I first came into this fandom, I was very small and not very talkative. I was afraid to talk to people, dreaded the possibility of being judged by the community. I have social anxiety so it’s incredibly difficult for me to talk to anybody. However, that changed. I remember one morning waking up and seeing a picture of humanized Bill sitting at a table, doing domestic things humans would do. The picture was really well done and made me feel a bit fuzzy inside. Later down the line, one of my favorite fic writers did a drabble on Bill dying his hair red to impress Dipper. The writer linked back to a picture that inspired the fic. The style looked familiar, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I then remembered the picture of the humanized Bill I was fond of. After some digging, I found the artist of these pictures: You. I saw all the rest of the art you had on your blog and I was immediately hooked. Things only got better when I found out about your first stream and went to it. Going to that stream quite literally changed my life for the better.
Thanks to your streams, I met some incredible people, made friends who support me. I started going out of my way to talk to people and came out of my shell that I’d been stuck in for so long. I even felt more confident in my writing and people have been supporting it, even given me ideas and future requests to fulfill. All of this positivity because I decided to click that follow button. Above all else though, the best things your streams have given me is a sense of community. Never have I felt so unconditionally loved among a large group of people before. The margarita cult has become my family and you my internet mom. You’ve helped me in ways I can’t even begin to thank you for, but this is a start.
You bring people together, form long lasting friendships whether you’re aware of it or not. It’s really special that a single person can bring together people from all corners of the world with different backgrounds, race, timezones, and have them all in one, accepting place. You’ve helped so many people and it’s simply incredible. I remember going through your blog after missing a few streams and saw how you were actively helping people that were feeling depressed, self harming, or contemplating suicide. I’ve never seen an artist do that, not even the kindest ones I know. You are an absolute sweetheart and give all of yourself to make other people happy. It’s one of the many reasons you’re one of my inspirations.
We love you, Ele. You’re a kind person, incredible artist, and overall someone really special. We got your back no matter what.
Also, I asked other members of the margarita cult for messages containing things they wanted to tell you in hopes of spreading the love. They, like me, had a lot to say.
