sorry i still don't know how to answer

Look, folks.  I do my absolute best to be friendly to people online, especially those who are friendly to me.  But I would like to make something clear.

Please do not mistake friendliness and openness for generosity.  I am a professional artist and quite frankly cannot afford to be generous with my art.  It is, after all, my trade.

The fact of the matter is that I cannot and will not take requests.  I have said so countless times.  I know some of you ask very nicely, but while I do appreciate the politeness, the answer is unfortunately still “no.”  Repeated requests will only have the effect of making me more staunch (and probably annoyed) in that response.

I sincerely, sincerely appreciate that folks enjoy my art.  Nothing brings me more happiness than that.  But I ask that you please respect my boundaries here.  “No” means “no.”

You're such a big ray of sunshine. To have an artist like you is such a blessing. (To be honest I followed you way back when and it was sad to see you gone) I saw you again by chance and I was wondering if you were the same artist as from before or not and you were!!!! I was so happy to find you again! And seeing how you are more active and just. You are great! Keep being you! Your comment about angst too is true, we need that cute fluff!!!! May happiness rain down on you!!!

I???? Wow I actually don’t know what to say, umm…….

Well first off, I really appreciate you being a long term follower of mine; it means a lot!! I apologize for leaving so suddenly back at that time, but I’m really glad to see that you found me again! I hope you enjoy your stay! Secondly, just know that seeing this made me really happy! You’re honestly too kind. I don’t think I can handle this?? I’m still pretty speechless actually…, but thank you so much for this! I hope happiness rains down on you too!!

Kel!!! I love you and I need your help URGENTLY!!!! Well, it's not that urgent BUT I have a question! How is it that you use bright colors from completely different families right next to or on top of e/o and still make them work??? I've been trying to do that, but it just looks garrish and wrong and doesn't blend well. :'( All my drawings look boring and monotonous. I really wanna liven them up with some brightness but don't know how!!

HELLO ANON!! ILU TOO!! I’m sorry for the late reply I WASN’T SURE HOW TO ANSWER THIS bc I don’t really have a specific method of using colors?? I kinda just pick what I think looks good and run with it, so it’s a little hard for me to explain the process. THIS IS GENERALLY what I do though, esp the transition color bit:

It’s also good to keep values in mind if you want to avoid overly muddy color schemes

and OFC this is just how I PERSONALLY DO MY COLORS it’s definitely not the ‘RIGHT’ WAY BC THINGS aren’t 30293 colors in real life SO YEAH!! These aren’t hard rules either, sometimes I use desaturated shadows and sometimes my drawings have a v limited value range.. I honestly just make things up as I go a lot so JUST TAKE WHAT YOU THINK MIGHT HELP AND TWEAK IT AS U WISH!!

Hey! Do you think you can make a post about your kindle/e-reader? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you❤️

Yes, of course!!

I’ve had my Kindle Paperwhite since 2015, and I am absolutely in love with it! For anyone who doesn’t know, Kindles are e-readers created by Amazon.  There are four versions currently for sale:

- Kindle: The basic Kindle device (which currently costs $79.99 on Amazon) is the cheapest e-reader Amazon offers and, consequently, the one with the least features.  It’s just a simple touchscreen, so you can either tap or swipe to change the page (to go either forward or backward).  As far as I can tell, there are really two things that set this Kindle apart from the Paperwhite: it has a lower screen resolution–only 167 ppi compared to the Paperwhite’s 300 ppi (for perspective, the iPhones 6 and 7 both have 326 ppi, at least according to a quick Google search I just did haha),which really isn’t a huge deal as the text is still perfectly visible for reading; and the screen doesn’t light up.  This second flaw is really the only reason I chose the Paperwhite instead.  While you would still be able to read just fine in daylight, you would have to turn on a lamp or something to read in the dark.  I imagine you could buy a book light and clip it onto the device, but I just personally felt that would be more hassle than I wanted.

- Kindle Paperwhite: The Paperwhite (which is what my Kindle is), currently costs $119.99 on Amazon.  You can pay more to get your Kindle with built-in WiFi and/or 3G, but I have never quite understood how that works and not having it has not been a problem for me, so I wouldn’t recommend that.  Again, the Paperwhite is just a touchscreen like the cheapest model.  It actually has the biggest screen of all the Kindle devices, which is interesting.  I pretty much already covered the differences, so basically it is just the basic Kindle with a built-in light and higher screen resolution.  In my experience, the built-in light is one of the best things about Kindles because it allows me to read in the dark without needing a lamp (which is especially convenient when I’m outside or in a car in the dark–I still remember the struggle of squinting in attempt to read in the car at night because my parents would never let me turn on the lights in the car).  The light is adjustable, so you can have it set to anywhere from 0 (basically no light) to 24 (AKA blinding light).  To give you an idea of how bright it is, I typically keep it at around 10 when I’m reading in the dark before bed and increase it to 15 or so during the day–it all depends on the lighting.  As you might expect, it definitely drains the battery more if you keep the brightness high, but it’s clearly not necessary to have it that bright.

- Kindle Voyage: The Kindle Voyage, which was the fanciest model at the time when I was trying to figure out which one to get, costs $199.99 on Amazon at the moment.  Its screen is smaller than that of the Paperwhite (but slightly bigger than the basic Kindle), but its main feature is that it has “page press,” which is basically just these sensor-button things on either side of the screen.  You can still use the touchscreen as you would on the other Kindles, but you can also change the page simply by pressing the buttons.  Initially, this was the Kindle I wanted, but I tried it out in a Best Buy store and decided against it.  The “buttons” aren’t raised or anything, so instead you have to press pretty hard on the side of the device to get the page to turn, which just seemed like more effort than it was worth, in my opinion (granted, that was two years ago, so it’s possible they have since improved the technology–if you think you might be interested, I’d recommend going to a physical store that sells the devices to try it out for yourself).  In my opinion, it’s just not worth an extra $80 just for some buttons and a smaller screen.

- Kindle Oasis: Finally the most recent addition to the Kindle family is the Oasis, which costs $289.99.  In my opinion, this is way too much money for not much improvement.  What makes it costs so much is that it comes with a cover that charges the device.  Frankly, unless you’re going to be somewhere where you won’t have access to electrical outlets for weeks (or, according to Amazon, months), there’s no reason to pay this much money (as far as I can tell).  As I will explain more later, all of the Kindles have incredibly long battery life even without this fancy cover.  I just don’t get the point of the device.

Kindle eBooks

As someone who doesn’t make a habit of purchasing new books, I love buying books on my Kindle.  I am fortunate enough that I usually receive several Amazon gift cards each year from family and friends, so I just put them on my account and constantly keep my eye out for deals.  I never buy Kindle books for full price (frankly I think $10 for just a digital copy is ludicrous), but Amazon constantly puts eBooks on sale for $2.99 or less.  Most books I buy are $1.99, and they’re not just random books no one has heard of.  To give you an idea, here are a few books I have purchased for $2.99 or less in the past year or so:

  • I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai
  • First & Then by Emma Mills
  • The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry
  • My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, and Brodi Ashton
  • Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
  • Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

And the list goes on…

Also, as you may know, most classic novels can be “purchased” for free in eBook format as older novels are usually in the public domain.  This comes in handy when I want to have a more portable copy of whatever book I’m reading for class, as most are in the public domain.

While I love both of those features, the way I get most of my eBooks is through my local library’s digital book collection.  Many public libraries offer eBooks through Overdrive, and those eBooks can easily be sent to your Kindle for you to read while you have them checked out.  I absolutely love this because I could get a new book in the middle of the night without the obstacle of library hours.

As I alluded, the Kindles (or at least the Paperwhite) last forever without charging.  Depending on how much I’ve been using my Kindle, I can usually go at least one week, if not two or three without charging (and even then, I’ve never actually let it run out of power).  I never have to worry about bringing my charger on vacations because I know I’ll be fine, which is so great.

Kindle Features

Here are a few of my favorite features of Kindles:

  • Goodreads: You can easily access Goodreads on Kindle, which is nice for finding new books and updating your reading progress.
  • Kindle Store: You can also get to the Kindle Store and purchase books right on your device, which lends itself well to impulse buying (thus how I have so many books on my Kindle, haha).
  • Highlights: It’s super easy to highlight quotes you like, all of which are stored in a “book” called “My Clippings” for easy access (it even stores highlights from library eBooks that have since been returned).  As you can probably guess, this is super useful for me in storing quotes to share with you guys, especially if I am at school when I come across them, though I’m weird and nostalgic so I like to go back and look at the dates and times when I highlighted certain quotes (I like to figure out what class I was in at the time lol).  Also, the highlights do save even if you are not on WiFi.
  • Dictionary: Even when you’re not connected to WiFi, you can always click on a word (or sometimes even a phrase) to look it up in the dictionary.  On WiFi, you can also look up a word on Wikipedia or have the device attempt to translate it into another language.

eBooks vs. Physical Books

I know lots of people are against eBooks (in fact, I used to be one of them), but I love them so much.  The Kindle screen really feels like you’re just looking at paper, so I don’t find it to be hard on my eyes at all, unlike how my phone and computer are.  It makes me able to read more books in more places and carry multiple books at once.  It has been so incredibly helpful with reading at school.  Now, I am able to sometimes walk to class while reading (I haven’t run into anyone yet lol), and it’s not quite so cumbersome to get a book out and start reading as it is with a physical book.  I do still love physical books and read them regularly.  I think they both certainly have their merits!

So, long story short, I absolutely adore my Kindle!  I use it almost every single day.  If anyone has any more questions about Kindles, please feel free to ask!!

#8 (this is the best prompt list I've ever seen btw)

“why are you so jealous?”
“you ready to go shawn?” you called from the front door as you waiting for shawn to meet you.

you were going to a club tonight with some old friends you hadn’t seen in a while, you were excited.

you decided to wear your favourite black dress that came a little bit past your butt, along with black heels to match. you always found yourself wearing black and black, it was natural to you.

“i’m coming, i’m coming,” shawn chuckled, meeting you at the front door.

“we match,” you commented as you waited for shawn to put his shoes on. he was wearing black skinny jeans and a black dress shirt that was almost too tight. if you looked close enough, you could make out the defined muscles on his chest and arms.

“if you wear that, we’re gonna be late to the party.” shawn said, wrapping his arms around your waist.

you pulled away, laughing slightly. “come on, we’ve got people waiting for us.”

shawn pouted as you patted his chest, “maybe later babe.”

the ride to the club was spent in comfortable silence, shawn’s hand rested on your thigh the entire time and he was occasionally humming along to whatever was playing on the radio.

getting into the club was easy, but finding your friends was the hardest part. there were many, many, people in the club tonight and trying to make your way through the crowd was tough.

shawn rested his hand on the small of your back, guiding you through the crowd. you knew he was also showing everyone around that you were his.

“y/n! shawn!“your best friend called from the bar, she got up from her seat and practically ran to you.

"long time no see!” you yelled, due to the music being loud. “i missed you.”

she pulled you in for a quick hug, before leading you to the bar. shawn followed, taking a seat between you and your best friends’ boyfriend, jack.

shawn and jack excused themselves after a bit, leaving you two at the bar by yourself.

after about 15 minutes, someone took the seat next to you. you assumed it was shawn so you said nothing.

“can we have some tequila shots?” you best friend called, throwing some money on the bar.

the waiter returned with the shots, and as we went to take the money the man you assumed to be shawn spoke up.

“i’ve got it.”

he handed him money before you or your friend could protest.

“you really didn’t have to do that.” you said, handing him the drink. “here, you can have it.”

“a pretty thing like you shouldn’t have to pay for her own drink.”

you blushed at the compliment, “thank you,”

he kept talking to you, and it was starting to make you and your best friend rather uncomfortable.

“so anyways-”

he was cut off by shawn coming behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist.

“sorry babe, i’m back. is he bothering you?”

the unknown man’s confidence faded in an instant. “u-uh, no sorry. i was just going.”

as we walked away, shawn continued his death stare on him until he was out of sight.

“let’s go.”

shawn harshly grabbed your hand, pulling you outside the club before you could even say bye to your friend.

“what’s your problem shawn?” you asked as soon as you walked outside, pulling your hand away.

“you should already know y/n.”

he slammed the door to his jeep after he got in, you following before he could drive away.

“what do you mean? i should know?”

“you were flirting with him back there, and you were letting him flirt with you y/n! what the hell?”

“why are you so jealous?” you asked, “i don’t get it?”

he slammed his hands on the wheel, causing you to jump slightly.

neither of you talked the entire ride home, but you knew that as soon as you walked through the front doors to his apartment you were going to start yelling.

as soon as shawn parked the car you got out as fast as you could, reaching the door to the apartment and slamming it shut.

“would you like to answer my question?” you asked, crossing your arms over your chest.

“you want to know why i’m so jealous y/n? because when you do shit like that it makes me feel like i’m not good enough for you! why should you feel the need to flirt with other guys in front of me? or at all? am i not good enough, do you not want me anymore?”

he ran his hands through his hair and you felt a piece of your heart break with his words.

“oh shawn, that’s not how i feel at all. i love you and only you! you know-” you began, walking closer to him.

“i know, i know. you’re a natural flirty person, but still i can’t help it.”

“i’m sorry, i didn’t know.”

he shook his head, “it’s okay, i’m sorry too.”

you had an idea on how to make this situation a little better. you stood on your tip-toes and brought your lips to his ear.

“come with me and i’ll show you how much i love you.”

he smirked as you led him into his bedroom.

((Please excuse me for a moment I just. I would like to say how incredible you all are and I’m just sitting here like “how do so many amazing people follow this blog” like I can’t even believe half of you, who are so talented and wonderful and have these KICKASS ask blogs, follow me, a lowly college student who’s way too invested in her own AUs, and I am so full of love and admiration for you and for the fandom and how I’ve been accepted so kindly, and all of the compliments I’ve gotten and just wow. I don’t know what else to do except sit here and scream like an idiot and continue to answer asks, because that’s all I feel I can do, and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude and my amazement. THANK YOU!!))

Mistress I need help! Do you know any good scarecrow quotes that are short enough to put on a banner but still give a good sense as to his character?

How short are we talking, one sentence, a few words? Jonathan loves to monologue, so I don’t know how easily it will be to find a shorter quote that describes his character well enough. I’m gonna try and meet you in the middle with several of his more iconic lines, with some of them cut into shorter segments. Anyway, here’s a handful of his best quotes! I hope this helps, and if you’re looking for something from a specific cannon, let me know!

Do you have any advice on how to stay safe(r)? Charlottesville drove home the point that my rabbi, even when I asked about advice on dealing with antisemitism, basically said that it's not a major problem and we have it great in America. So I got no advice on how to deal with practical safety measures. As a convert, I feel like I'm stumbling in the dark because I don't know what to do.

Hi anon,

I’m sorry it took me so long to answer this.

I have to be perfectly honest with you – this is in part because I wasn’t sure how. Indeed, I’m still not a hundred percent sure what to tell you.

It’s not safe. This is not a safe choice. It never has been and it most likely never will be until moshiach arrives.

I don’t say this to be pessimistic or to frighten you, but because it’s the truth and I don’t think it does anyone any favors to pretend otherwise.

That said, some advice on how to stay safe:

  • Stick together. There’s strength in numbers. If you walk to shul, see if you can walk with someone else. If you’re going to be visibly Jewish in some way, try to do so with other Jewish people.
  • Be conscious of your surroundings, and be smart about where and when you decide to be visibly Jewish or make it known that you are converting.
  • Be strong, but don’t take stupid risks. If you’re in an area where you’re likely to face physical violence, don’t feel like you have to put yourself in danger.
  • Similarly, if you live in an area where your neighbors think it’s fine to put up confederate flags and are quite possibly armed? It’s okay to put your mezuzah on the inside of your home and to not display your menorah to the street. (There are specific halachic rules about how to protect yourself in this sort of way, but the upshot as far as I’ve ever been told is that it’s okay to be more private when this type of observance could put you in serious danger.)
  • Also, know your own personal limits. Maybe you feel up to battling it out wearing a kippah today, but maybe the next day you don’t. That’s okay. You need to take care of your psychological and emotional health, too.
  • If any of your property gets vandalized, take pictures and let an authority figure know; if it’s your home, call the police.
  • If it will help you to feel more confident, take some self-defense classes.

Sending love and strength. Keep your chin up and don’t let the b*stards get you down.

Hi! Don't mind if you don't answer this but I'm a newbie writer and I was wondering how do you do the start of writing like do you Outline or make a timeline or you just sit and write? Also how do you 'plot' , I keep reading this word everywhere in writers blog and still don't know what it means 'to plot. Sorry to bother. Love your writing

I do the grab bag method of plotting because above all else I love the act of writing and building things out of obscure shit. When I was making Eggs Over Easy aka the Denny’s/cheerleader/laser tag klance fic that’ll never get finished in a timely fashion because my backers don’t ship klance, I was like:

“Okay, how do we build a good au? Someone’s at a Denny’s, there’s a cheerleader, and uh, Lance wants to get into pro laser tag.”

I took tropes and things I like that are just fucking ridiculous, and then decided I was going to climb the hill that’s giving it emotional depth. So how do all of these things interconnect?

Keith is an ex-cheerleader who dropped out of college and now works at a Denny’s after his hero (the cheer captain) went missing. Lance is aways at this Denny’s at 3 AM because he closes the laser tag/skating rink. His dream is to find the final people for his pro laser tag team, and when some dudes who knew Keith in college come into the Denny’s and try to start shit, Lance falls for Keith’s dexterity and ability to vault a table.

He asks Keith if he wants to join his team.

They exchange numbers.

Okay, so now we have something to work with. Why did Keith drop the cheerleading team and resort to working at a Denny’s? Who will the other team members be? I mean, we know since it’s VLD fic, but it’s still fun to build that up. What challenges will the team face while improving their skills at the Voltron laser tag park and why is Lance so caught up in this pseudo-sport? Then we can ask who becomes team captain and what that means?

Basic ideas, right?

Right, so here’s some more depth.

When is this happening? How are the characters dressing and presenting themselves? Is it based in a modern au or is it modern and kitschy? Does it even have to be on Earth? Can there be a Denny’s on the moon? Who fucking knows? Start thinking about the atmosphere.

Keith plays Galaga in the Denny’s arcade, but there are cell phones, and for some reason, people still like disco night at the rink. I’m painting it so that you can wear a pastel windbreaker, wear tight glitter boy shorts, but also, you can call an Uber. I love the mix-up. I do whatever I fucking want.

For outlines? I tend to do it by chapter. If I go too far ahead, then I just end up ignoring my own notes anyway because shit will write itself. I get my point A and point B and then harass my friends for brainstorming sessions and dialogue. I literally write down my friends’ jokes. I have pages of candid shit.

It usually goes:

What has to happen this chapter? Who’s doing what? Make this into a to-do list.

Also make this a to-do list. But like, bullet out why the main points matter. What is this adding and does it make any fucking sense? I tend to forget to pay close attention to this, but I’m learning. Consistency is hard in multi-chapters. It requires tons of rereading and I write so much I don’t have time.

What are you trying to say? Don’t like, bullet out symbolism because symbolism tends to come at the end, and the symbolism never belongs to you, but what is driving you to write this story and what do you want your readers to kind of get from it? Some don’t do this in fic, but yeah. I do. I care way too much and funnel tons of energy and consideration into my shit.

FREEWRITING (because my eyes are fucked all to shit and if I stare at the screen too long it just hurts now)

Just write. Mark it out. Rewrite it. Get the tone down.

I get about a page of freewriting done and some thematic prose under my belt and then start the Word engine.

Anyway! I hope this helps you! Thank you for the sweet words, and I’m so sorry if I’ve missed your previous messages. I get a lot of them and tend to have to pick and chose when I’m slammed. Fingers crossed this makes up for it.

14 + Moriel? (if you still ship them? I feel like no one does anymore and it makes me sad sometimes even though I get it)

Oh I still ship them, my babe. I ship them desperately. I just don’t talk about it publicly anymore unless someone asks me to out of respect for, you know, the general shitstorm of a situation S put us in when it comes to those two. I don’t want to upset anyone and I understand why this isn’t a thing anymore.

You *did* ask. And Moriel dancing is like the most important thing to my soul, so I mean, it can’t hurt right…..

Everyone look away, we’re going there:

Moriel + Dancing

A lot of this is based on a headcanon I have that sort of explains the new information we get in ACOWAR and reconciles it with how I see Moriel happening in ACOMAF. I’m not going to explain that full backstory for a variety of reasons, but know that that’s where this is coming from. Anyway…

So dancing is HUGELY important to Mor and Az because it’s basically the first way they become actual friends after many, many years of being…. close acquaintances in Rhys’s friend circle. Essentially when Mor and Az first arrive in Velaris under Rhys’s new tenure as HL, they’re both pretty broken. The war was awful, Mor is still dealing with trauma from a variety of sources, and Az is having difficulty adjusting to spymaster duties under a HL who isn’t crazy like his predecessor. And then there’s the fact that there’s this awkward tension between them, but there’s also a recognition of mutual suffering? And the desire to help? Thus they become not quite true and trusting friends, but close enough to see the cracks and aid each other as needed. (Hence Mor waiting for Az after missions.)

The trouble is, Az won’t go out to Rita’s. No matter how hard Mor tries to get them past that line in the sand, they just can’t get there. Until one night when Az finds Mor breaking down over particular traumas in her past and this time, he’s helping her cope and for whatever reason, that does it. Now he understands. Now she trusts him fully. Now they are friends. And it’s only then the next day that Mor doesn’t have to ask Az to go with her and the gang to Rita’s. He’s already offering to take her.

This is where the dancing comes in. Because that night and all the nights after, Mor knows that Az is only dancing with her because of that trust they established. Because it’s not just that he loves her. She knows he always has. But this is different. He’s stepping out of the neat little tidy box he’s always kept himself in for her. It’s action. It’s open. And it’s trusting. So she takes care of him during those dances. Never too fast to overwhelm him, but never so slow that he feels his control snapping beyond what even he can handle. Only enough to show him some of the life he’s been missing and that he’s allowed to have happiness too. But no matter what dance they’re doing, she can’t help but notice… his scent at his neck when he’s close, how kind his mottled hands are holding her waist gently, or how much care he takes in turning her so he doesn’t step on her toes like Cassian does. Safe, she thinks. With Azriel, she feels safe. And she can’t quite remember the last time she felt that way 100% as she does dancing with him in that crowded hall.

And for Azriel, dancing with Mor - it’s a whole new kind of freedom. One he’s never felt before. She’s smiling, but not just at him, for him. And she’s happy. And she’s carefree and wild and wonderful in all the ways he never was. It feels like when he first met her up in those mountains and they flew over the cliffs together each morning (shamelessly inserting other headcanons in here, excuse me) and she was allowed to just breathe for the first damn time in her life. But so too was he. He doesn’t let himself go out or be anything other than a spy, a torturer, an assassin. But this?? THIS IS HEAVEN, he thinks. He hasn’t seen Mor this way since all those years ago. And he hasn’t felt this way about it maybe ever. And now his only regret is that he’s missed out on centuries worth of dancing with Mor, twirling her in and out of his arms in a flow he was made for, one he never wants to stop.

Az doesn’t always dance at Rita’s. But he will if Mor asks. And Mor doesn’t normally so as not to make a fuss. But it’s enough. Knowing she’s out there having the time of her life. Knowing he’s in the booth enjoying a quiet drink, taking time for himself away from his stringent work routine. And when they do dance together, it’s everything.

And then there’s Starfall.

Starfall is the one guarantee they’ll dance. No one has to ask. They simply go. And it’s all the things the dances at Rita’s are not. It’s fast, fast, fast to celebrate. Dancing so quickly and spinning so rapidly, they’re a dizzy blur going faster than the strings of music can keep up with. And as the night goes on and the stars slow, they do too. So slow, they wonder how far this goes, if and where it stops. What’s left when it does. His fingers will caress an inch up her back in the softest touch that feels like miles across her skin. Her fingers will grip at the base of his neck in a hold that begs not to let go. And for that one brief moment, it’s only them and those small touches. Even the music disappears. She’ll nuzzle her brow against his neck. He’ll thrum low in his throat. And Az will take that step back into the sway of the dance because they’re both safe there and he never wants to take her back into danger ever again. But for Starfall, they have that moment to be together and wonder what it would be like without the inhibitions and lines and rules. For that moment, they know what us feels like and they look forward to feeling it again every year.

Now, when Mor and Az finally finally get together, it’s all happening at a time that generally is too hectic for dancing. The war is bananas and even after that, there’s a lot of crazy going on. So when things settle and they go back to dancing, it’s totally impromptu. They’re just walking along the Sidra one night at twilight enjoying the first peaceful night they’ve truly had since it all ended when they hear the music playing. It catches them so by surprise that Mor gets a little misty when Az immediately turns her and pulls her into the movements. How many times had she wondered during those weeks at war if they’d ever have this time again? The dancing itself is short-lived, their bodies too closely entwined to keep from loving each other more properly. So they winnow home and spend the remainder of the night loving as they should.

From there on out, nothing is off the table with dancing ever again. I think they’re one of those couples who takes an apartment together near where the orchestras play so they can listen through the open windows and dance along to the music. I think they make love to that music. I think they undress while dancing to that music, slowly over the course of the evening. I think when they’re upset or they’re happy or they’re anything really, that music and that dance is always nearby to keep them steady and remind them of what’s really important: each other.

Thank you for asking me for these. It was really lovely to get these thoughts I’ve sat on for months now out on paper. <3

Hey, I saw where you answered and ask, but I still wanted to ask. Is not knowing what to say an autistic trait? More specifically, in conversations a person will say something and I don't know what to say to I end up repeating my words. In texts my side of the convo looks like this: Yeah Well then Yep Yeah Well then And then my famous: I'm sorry I don't know what to say. But maybe this is just me, regardless I wanted to ask you. Thank you!

yeah that can definitely be an autism thing!

You have pARTNERS I'm so curious how many how does it work omg (sorry you don't have to answer I just never met anyone that had more than one partner and I just have to know how it feels like sorry omg)

Oh no worries. I’m pretty open about it. Ok, so I’m aromantic asexual, so our relationship is queerplatonic. That means that we’re not romantically attracted to each other (since we’re all ace, we’re not sexually attracted either, but that’s not true for all qp’s), but we still have a incredibly deep bond that goes past the boundaries of society’s ideas of normal friendship.

Basically, we’re not in love, but we love each other nonetheless, and we wan tot spend the rest of our lives together.

And as for having multiple partners works, it just means there’s more love. More than one person to laugh with, to cry on, to watch shows with, to cuddle. It’s pretty great

what do you want to see happen to sansa's storyline after petyr's gone? self-destruction? keeping the mockingbird pin and go dark? queen in the north cersei style? sacrifice for one of the siblings?

Uh if you’re talking about the show..I don’t know honestly, to me show!Sansa isn’t the Sansa I loved when I started watching the show. It feels like a totally different characters since s5 with the whole Jeyne2.0 plot mess, and it’s been inconsistent as a character since then. Now she’s Jeyne, now she’s Icy Kween 2.0, now she’s another person. All of this because of bad writing. Anyway it would be nice to see her keeping the mockingbird at least, like you know..her not letting go that side of herself. The side that learned to play the game..even tho in the show she didnt learn a damn thing, but it would be nice for the gifs and the edits lol.

If we talk about the books then, if Petyr must go there too, I’d like to see her fall with him to be honest. I’d like her to learn the game (she’s fascinated by Petyr’s abilty to play it’s pretty clear) and team up with him. Not fully trust him, but let’s say she’ll trust his mind, his ability to play. A mistake will be made (by one of them? both? who knows?) and when she tries to untie herself from all the scheming it will be too late, and she’ll go down with him. So yeah i’d like to see her go dark, also because it seems to me that’s the path Martin is taking for her. I still think Sansa is not a “typic” Stark, she’s not a “wolf”. Lady’s death is quite a symbol of that. It’s not a casuality that the “little bird” is now under the wing of the “mockingbird”. So, short answer: I want Sansa to go dark basically, because to me that’s already happening. If Petyr goes she should go down too.

I've been interested in Buddhism lately, but I still don't have a full grasp on what it teaches. I also don't know whether or not this is the right path for me, and how it would effect my relationship with Islam. Sorry if this was confusing.

Unfortunately I do not know a lot about Islam and its teaching so I am unable to help you in relation to that. However I can guide you towards answer on what Buddhism teaches.
Buddhist teachings and practices are for the purpose to become free from suffering and find happiness and peace. It is a very peaceful religion and promotes no harm towards animals and people and is non-judgmental.

In regards to Buddhist teachings, it is more of a practising lifestyle with some guidance rather than laws and things you must conform with. The fundamental teachings of Buddhism are the Four Noble Truths:
The existence of suffering,
The causes of suffering,
The cessation of the causes of suffering,
The path that leads to the cessation of the causes of suffering.

According to the Buddha, suffering permeates our existence, affecting both our minds and bodies, even things that make us happy are subject to change. By understanding the four noble truths we are able to lead a path of freedom from suffering. It is about not denying that suffering permeates out lives but enjoying the simple, natural pleasures instead. Buddhism is less of a belief system but a way of life that can guide you towards happiness
I would recommend doing some research and reading further into the basis of Buddhism and its beliefs. If they resonate with you and you feel a connection to them then maybe it is suitable for you. Do whatever you feel is who you are. Good luck and I hope that helped!

Hello! So I'm fairly new in the columbine community and one thing I don't understand is how it all started. I understand that both wanted it but there's a difference between wishing for smth to happen and planning smth. How do you think they brought up the topic the firs time. Smth along the lines with "Y'know I'd LOVE to bomb away this fucking school" - "Same bro, guess what, I've got some explosives in my room, we could ACTUALLY do this!" or how do you think one begins to plan smth like that?

Hi! (Sorry, this is a late-as-hell answer – I hope you’re still around!)

I don’t think anyone really knows how it started. I sometimes feel like Eric and Dylan wouldn’t be able to tell us when it all started, either. I don’t think there was any one point in time that was IT in terms of “hey this is a great idea”, nor do I think there was a specific moment they’d be able to pinpoint as the first time the topic was brought up between them.

I think it started out as a joke. When you read the statements their friends made to law enforcement and in interviews later on, you get the sense that the school blowing up or getting shot up or whatever was something that was talked about and joked about semi-regularly within their crowd. I think they had this running commentary going of “yeah one of these days it’s gonna go boom” or “I wish this place would just catch fire already” or something along those lines in order to help them cope with the everyday reality of being in that space with these people.

I think that they sat in the middle of one of those jokes and that one of them turned to the other and said “we could pull that off”. I think that one of them may have made a very asinine murderous comment, to which the other may have replied “yeah same here/me too”. I think it may not be very likely that they bonded over a lament of “I wish I was fucking dead”, as that’s way too personal for Dylan and way too outright suicidal for Eric, so I’m banking on the murder-section of the plan being the thing they initially pounced on together. I think that Dylan was the big dreamer/visionary in some respects, while Eric was the practical one who could pull shit together in record time to make that vision happen. I think that they just sat and fantasised out loud and then gradually came to the thought of actually doing it.

I also still think that they had both been toying with these ideas individually, if I know Eric well enough by now to assume as much and if we take Dylan’s first mention of murder into account, before they ever said anything about it to each other. I think this was a private fantasy before it became a shared idea/plan. I’ve put together a more-or-less accurate timeline of when it might have become a shared plan here, because we’re able to piece some of that together with the information they left behind. As for how that conversation actually began, though.. we’ll never know.

sorry if this is silly, your answer on dvalucio just made me think a bit. i know you said you don't see the age gap as necessarily bad, but as someone who's 23 and wouldn't date a 19yo, i'm just saying that if a 26yo person isn't a creep, he'll know a 19yo is a kid compared to them and would never initiate anything romantic. like, when you are in your 20s, you realize how much of a kid you still were at 18-19 so dating a person that young would be. at least weird

ths ask isnt silly lol asking for clarification and looking to expand on a discussion w a subject matter thats RLY sensitive isnt dumb
