I know you probably hear this alot, but thank you for doing what you do here. You're all so creative and this blog is absolutely awesome! Like.. You make these fictional characters, these egos, you bring them to life and can put fear into the viewers themselves just as much as mark, jack, and etc can! it's so cool and I honestly just have to thank you so much for it... You bring them to life, and you.. Ah, I'm being repetitive, I'm sorry. Just thank you so much, lots of love!!! <3 <3 <3

About Hook and Merlin

I know people has already discussed the scene with Merlin at Granny’s, but I only now had the chance to look at it carefully and I found a few details that are very interesting (sorry if I’m being repetitive to things that were already said…)

First of all, look at the way the director/writers were placing the actors:

They are all in sort of a circle, all facing Merlin. All but Hook! He is out of frame behind them.

People already said how Merlin is all smiley and giggling before Hook approaches. I think it is very possible that he didn’t even know he was there. This is done very smoothly by the director/writers, if it wasn’t for that mega spoiler, we might as well not even notice it.

Now Hook is approaching:

Coming from behind out of nowhere. (Kinda looks like he’s saying: “Yes hi there, killian Jones - the next king of Camelot, I have a question…”).

And then Merlin’s response:

Kinda looks like, “Oh, it’s you… the other part of the prophesy, I didn’t see you there”. and then as Hook asks him if he can free Emma:

he really looks full of despair and full of hope at the same time. Afraid of what might the answer would be, but also relieved that he could actually ask this question at last. The face of real true love.

And then as Merlin looks at him:

It really looks to me like he is seeing himself there, seeing how he once was with the first DO. And then he turns to Emma and it looks like he’s thinking “yes, the prophesy will be fulfill, this is the face of true love”
