My parents sat me down when I was like fifteen and they’re like, “I think it’s time to talk about the birds and the bees.” And I was like “I’m on Game of Thrones!” I know everything there is to know and more. I don’t think I need any education there.

MACBETH

2008/2010 | Revival/ Recorded Play | Illuminations
Featuring Sophie Hunter

Debuting in 2008, from Chichester Festival Theatre, Gielgud in the West End, Lyceum Theatre in Broadway and the Brooklyn Academy of Music to the television screens via BBC and PBS, Sophie Hunter has been a part of Rupert Goold’s “Macbeth” starring Patrick Stewart. Playing one of the witches with Polly Frame and Niamh McGrady, the Peabody Award-winning recorded play drew aesthetic inspirations from the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin’s rule. Chillingly, the witches were dressed throughout as 20th century hospital nurses engaging in grotesque and murderous endeavours, further reinforcing their “Angels of Death” personas.
