How To // Sophia Smith Makeup Everyday Look

So as some of you may know if you are a fan of 1D, Liam Payne is dating the lovely Sophia Smith.
She is amazing inspiration for a very nautral makeup look. She normally wears a very nautral dewy look, and for events she may add a colour lip etc. So here is a post on how to get her standart makeup look and in the next post some of her event looks!

Everyday Look

So her everyday look is a very nautral dewy/semi matte (sometimes matte) skin, with a very light dust of neutral pink/brown blush, a filled and shaped brow, a few coats of mascara and sometimes a brown pink-ish, neutral pink or a neutral brown lipstick.

Since she goes for a dewy/matte foundation these are amazing! She is also going for a more light foundation look but still with a little bit of coverage.
If you want a very light foundation the MAC face & body foundation, Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude foundation, and the Maybelline BB cream are amazing for that. If you want more coverage you can build the MAC face & body foundation but if you want another foundation the YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation, Giorgia Armani Foundation, NARS Sheer Glow, Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation is a great choice!
It doesn’t look like she is wearing concealer because her skin is so even toned, but you can always apply and work your foundation in a little bit more where you need it! + I would recommend that you use a primer before you apply your makeup to make it last all day! Rimmel London, No.7 and YSL have great primers!

If you wanna go for a matte look Rimmel London has a great powder for that!

In some pictures it looks like she is wearing a very tiny bit of blush, just for a light colour. Sometimes it looks like a pink-ish tone if you wanna go for that look Bobbi Brown, Clinique & NARS has some really lovely blushes. If you wanna go for her more brown tone H&M, Too Faced & NARS have great colours!
But remember she is only going for a light dust of colour, so when you apply colour to your cheeks go for a very light and quick dust!

In all the pictures I have seen of her everyday look she has very full long lashes. To create that look you can decide only to use one coat of mascara, if you wanna go for that YSL, Lancome, and Charlotte Tilbury has some great mascara’s for that. If you wanna apply a few more coats Maybelline and Clinique has great build able mascara’s.

Her eyebrows are quite filled and shaped but not the instagram kind of eyebrow. Her eyebrows are big from the inner corner till the arch of her brow and then it goes thin. If you are a beginner a powder or pencil is your best friend! Rimmel London makes amazing pencils and H&M makes great powders, you can also buy a single eyeshadow in your shade, I know MUA makes amazing single eyeshadows!
If you are more on the know how to side Anastasia, ELF and Topshop make super amazing gel’s!

Sometimes it looks like Sophia is wearing eyeshadow. It’s always neutral brown & pink shades. Wet’N’Wild, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Chanel, MAC and H&M makes some amazing single and palettes with the shades you see on Sophia!

So to finish the look, Sophia some times wear a light brown pink-ish and sometimes just a very neutral pink or brown shade lipstick. Burberry, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC & Topshop makes great pink and brown pink-ish shades! Clinique, Topshop and MAC makes great pink shades too!

So this is how you can recreate Sophia Smith’s makeup look! The next post will feature a few of her event looks!

I hope you enjoyed this post! x

Sophia Smith day to night makeup tutorial x

For a first date you don’t want to wear too much makeup, but you still want to look like you put alot of afford in it and look very fresh, and these are the products you could use for this kind of look :)

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream  (8$)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (8$)

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (6$)

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil (14$)

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (7$)

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner (6$)

Tartelette Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush (26$)

Topshop Glow Cream Highlighter (13$)

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm with Pink Grapefruit (3$)

This was my second makeup tutorial :) I decided to do my tutorials this way! Do you like it this way or should I write a whole detailed Makeup Tutorial? Really hope you like this and it has helped you :)

Sophia Smith Vacation Bun

Step 1: Brush through your hair to make it easier to work with.

Step 2: Taking a ponytail holder, start to create a ponytail as high as you like (to get Sophia’s look, start it at the top of the crown of your head).

Step 3: After you pull it through twice, only pull it ¾ of the way through the 3rd time (if a few pieces of hair fall out its okay).

Step 4: That bun will be quite floppy, so you’ll want to push the hair forward a bit to get the voluminous look and then pin the hair in place so that it stays.

Step 5: Work around with it a little to get the shape you like! Pin it, hairspray it, do whatever you need to do. Pull out a few bits to frame her face like her own!

(Sidenote: She does have long hair and a lot of it, so it may look differently on you than it does on her!)

Finished! x

Sophia Smith // Day to Night makeup

Hiya, I just posted my 2nd Sophia Smith makeup video! If you want to, you are welcome to share it with your followers x

for all of you who want to recreate Sophia’s VSFS make-up or her make-up in generell take a look at Emilie’s amazing video!

Lots of love

juliesepulvado asked me to do a Sophia Smith school makeup tutorial, so here it is :) x

  • Start priming your face with the Bourjois Paris Happy Light Matte Serum Primer  or the primer that works best for you. This primer have two versions, the luminous illuminates and hydrates your skin, is recommended for normal to dry skin. The matte one mattifies and refines pores and it’s recommended for normal to combination skin people. In the pictures, Sophia have a matte makeup look, so I chose the matte finish one :)
  •  With your foundation brush/beauty blender bounce or dapple the L'Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup on your face. It’s a lightweight, medium coverage foundation with 33 shades that are divided between warm, neutral and cool skin tones!

  • To set everything in place use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. A translucid powder gives a more natural looking finish.
  • Lightly apply the Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Nude/Medium Pink to the apples of your cheeks. This is a oil-free blush and blends very easilly :)

  • Start filling your eyesbrows with the felt-tip tint of the Soap&Glory™ Archery™ Brow Tint and Pencil. Use light, fine strokes to fill in any gaps and add fullness and then flip it to use the pencil end to sketch the perfect shape. Sophia’s eyebrows are always arched defined and perfect.

  • Line your upper lash line and bottom and top waterline with the Maybelline Line Express Eyeliner in Brownish Black or any brown eyeliner that you have. Sophia always line her waterline.

  • One thing that you need to know, Sophia always highlight the inner corner of her eyes. She only wear it to bright her eye up but sometimes Sophia drags it towards the middle of her eye. With the tip of your finger, apply the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Champagne in the inner corner of your eye.

And the tutorial is done! I hope you like it! - Soh :) xx

Sophia Inspired Formal Makeup

I think we can all agree that Sophia looked gorgeous at the Trekstock Great Gatsby Themed Charity Ball! Here is a tutorial on how to achieve a similar makeup look that she wore. As always, you don’t have to use the exact products I use in these steps to create the same look, these are simply recommendations. If you need help finding alternative products, let me know!

  1. Use your fingers to apply a heavier concealer, such as Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer to cover any spots, blemishes, or scars.
  2. Use your fingers to apply a lighter concealer to cover any under eye circles (though I recommend YSL Touche Eclat as a highlighter, it can also be used under your eyes).
  3. To get a flawless finish, use a beauty blender to evenly apply a luminous foundation to your face. Because Sophia’s skin is so radiant and glowy, I think she is using a light reflecting foundation such as the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation.
  4. Use a powder brush to lightly dust your T-zone with a mattifying setting powder like the Rimmel Stay Matte powder (be careful not to use too much or it will take away the glowing look from your skin!)
  5. Use a contour brush and apply a bronzing powder to the hollows of your cheeks. Sophia uses the Nars Laguna Bronzer.
  6. Use a highlighter, like the YSL Touche Eclat, to create a natural looking glow on your cheeks like Sophia’s. In the top left picture you can almost see the line of highlighter from the outer corner of her eye to the upper part of her cheeks. Create a similar line with the highlighter and blend it in.
  7. Use a pot to fill in your eyebrows, such as the Anastasia Dipbrow. Take an angled brush to lightly apply the product in the direction of your hair until your eyebrows are filled in and arched.
  8. Take a light pink eyeshadow with an ‘icy shimmer’ like Jest by Mac, and sweep it over your eyelid. Also apply the eyeshadow to the corner of your eyes.
  9. Take an eyeliner brush and dip it into a black, water-resistant liquid eyeliner such as the Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Eyeliner. Make a thin line in the corner of your eye and extend it along your upper lash line to the outer edge of your eye.
  10. Use a black kohl pencil, like the Topshop Kohl Pencil in Coal to create a line on your bottom lash line. Start from the middle of the eye and drag the liner outward, smudging it a bit with your finger.
  11. Sophia also wore fake eyelashes to this event. Mac 21 Lash and Mac Duo adhesive are good options for a full, natural look. The first step when applying fake lashes is to measure them against your eyes and cut them to fit your eye shape if necessary. Next, use a toothpick to run a small amount of glue along the lash band. Let it dry for a few seconds before placing them against your lash line. Once they are in place, press them down and leave them until they are dry.
  12. Next, use a volumizing, lengthening mascara on your upper and lower lashes such as the Lancôme Hypnôse mascara.
  13. Lastly, apply a soft, pink lipstick like Chanel’s 154 Badine lipstick to complete the look.

Tumblr for some reason don’t want me to post this, It’s the third time that I’m writing it, but ok… Hello lovely people! How are you? I hope that’s everything ok. How you guys know, at the moment I’m a little bit obsessed with Sophia Smith and I thought: “You know what? I’m going to do another Sophia makeup tutorial”, and here it is! I think that’s a good tutorial for those of you who have a homecoming coming soon or just any party. Sophia - It’s strange talking like that because my name is Sophia too - doesn’t wear that much of makeup, but when she does it’s like a goldish-brown smokey eye. Ok, I’ll stop, let’s start it!

  • Start priming your face with the The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur Makeup Primer. I already used it in one of my other tutorials, it’s a really good product, you can apply it after your skincare routine and before makeup to create the perfect long-lasting base. This product control shine, unify your skin tone, hide blemishes and the most important of all, extend makeup. We want it to last the whole night, don’t we? Apply dabs on your cheeks, chin, forehead and nose. Gently blend it all over your face with small circular motions.
  • With your foundation brush or your fingers, apply the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation or any other foundation with a glowy/dewy finish, how you can see in the pictures, Sophia has a really glowy, but not oily face. And this foundation smalls amazing!

  • Make sure to set everything in place with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent, this powder is perfection, that’s all I have to say.

  • Now it’s time for the eyes! Apply the colour Trick of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette all over your eyelid and then with a fuffly brush, apply the colour Factory in the outer corner of your eye and blending through the crest, Sophia usually brings the eye shadow out, winging it. Highlight the inner corner of your eye with the same colour that you used in your eyelid - Trick - and bring it towards the middle of your eyes, her eyes are alawys highlighted.

  • With your  brush, contour your face with the Nyx Blush in Angel/Amber. Ok, It’s strange, bu Sophia do not use countour, she uses blush to do it - ? - but it gives her a amazing finish. If you want to, you can contour your face a little bit.

And it’s done! I hope you guys like this tutorial! A massive hug from me to you and kisses all over your face - yes, I’m sentimental today - Good bye! - Soph :) xx

Also a quick note to say that I don't get why Lilo would be a romance instead of just a Bromance, I meant - do people forget about the existence of the beautiful Sophia Smith and how Liam Payne is actually quite obviously besotted with her? She's not new to the scene, they're in a committed relationship. Lilo is a good BROMANCE, I'm glad they're good pals. But let's not disrespect Sophia here. She's actually someone we shouldn't ignore in this case.

I do it to not attract angry Ziams. ;) Buttttt. I’m just gonna come out with it.

I’m Sophia AF. There ya go. *waits for inbox messages and loss of followers* #LongHairDontCare
