The púca or pooka is a shapeshifter of Irish folklore who can take the form of a dark-coated horse, goat, rabbit, donkey, or hound. It is a spirit thought to bring luck (good or bad) depending on how the locals treat it, but is generally considered a benevolent trickster. It is associated with the harvest.
My pookamon (sorry, not sorry) concept was a ghost-type that, like, soodowoodo, ‘looks like’ a grass type. Couldn’t think of any names for them, though.
I also came up with several colour variants before actually settling on this one, and I was thinking the variants could be used as regional/ seasonal/ something “forms” - not necessarily to change its actual element, just its appearance? up to the voters!
The art style is supposed to be evocative of Celtic art.
