Sonics Rally

Not Seahawks related but…

Shout out to all of those who attended/supported the #SonicsRally. We went there and saw a ton of Seahawks fans supporting Seattle and everyone else who are trying to bring back the Sonics. It was amazing to see Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Nate Robinson, Slick Watts, & Detlef Schrempf all on stage!

Hope you Seahawks fans are showing your love and support for Seattle’s efforts to get an NBA team back (and add an NHL team too)!!

Foo Fighters announce a 20th anniversary July 4th show in D.C., featuring Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr, Heart, Joan Jett, LL Cool J, Trouble Funk, and Trombone Shorty.

What's your favourite song from a video game? I personally don't have a particular favourite, but my favourite songs are all from classic Nintendo games like Bomberman 64 and The Legend of Zelda series. All the music from Nintendo are just so beautiful! ♪♪

Bomberman 64 and all of the music from the Zelda series are so great - I’m a huge fan of both! I also really love the music from Super Mario Galaxy, SaGa Frontier 2, Threads of Fate, Mischief Makers, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Excitebike World Rally, ACNL, Sonic Colors, Legend of Legaia, and so many more, I can’t name them all…

My favorite song would be either “Corridors of Time” from Chrono Trigger or “Zelda’s Lullaby” from Ocarina of Time. I think they both capture complicated feelings in different ways: Zelda’s Lullaby is extremely intimate and concise, and it’s beautifully composed in a way that completely avoids the tonic (the home chord in most songs - I think that’s why it has a strange and floaty feeling). And Corridors of Time juxtaposes a lot of musical elements with each other, like a tragic melody over a light-hearted bounce, and comfortable and familiar chords played in less familiar instruments for that style, like gamelan, sitar, and tabla - there’s nothing that sounds quite like it. I don’t want to bore anybody, but I love them and they are huge inspirations!
