someone notice this or i'll cry

Off the back of my first post regarding Space Dad Kolivan have some headcannons/ideas/random stuff!!

Lance narrating: “Funnily enough, the deadliest of us is also the dadliest”

Hunk slips while pulling food out of the oven, Kolivan catches the food in one hand and Hunk in the other.

He likes to throw Pidge. Straight up at dubious heights, across the room, behind the enemy’s lines during a battle as some kind of flanking maneuver. He’ll just pick her up and toss her bc he can

He’ll actively and noticeably censor himself in the paladins’ presence.

Always manages to land a perfectly centered slap on the back of Lance’s head as situationally required

He’s legit the “I’m everywhere” dad

He has a Dad Chair on the castle, even when he’s not there it’s left for him

T H E   T H E R M O S T A T

He’s like a reverse gremlin, little inconsequential fixes that took the back-burner are suddenly being done and no one knows how or who by until Coran catches Kolivan adjusting something and he’s just like “it helps me think”

Kolivan insists on cooking a traditional Galra meal bc Kieth needs to taste his heritage

He’s a fab cook and Galra cooking is bae

Kolivan is very proud of himself and gladly teaches Hunk the recipes

He can drive and park any vehicle perfectly on the first try regardess of whether or not he has prior experience with said vehicle

He even once managed to drift into a flawless parallel park during a high speed escape

Can turn any situation or funny story into a Valuable Life Lesson

“Alright paladins, we’re going to do this clearly dangerous and highly risky thing in a needlessly complex yet still over-simplified way”

Creative in the most unusually creative way.

*explosion* the team comes running in to see Kolivan crouching with his back to the blast, looking badass. Kolivan stands up revealing a previously completely hidden Pidge, not a hair out of place

*is holding a baby, baby screams in delight* A MIGHTY WARRIORS CRY

Highkey protective af

Totally chill with Pidge climbing all over him, he doesn’t even notice the extra weight

One time Hunk found them in the bridge doing some modifications together and took a picture bc it was too cute

Kolivan was standing, leaning on the control panel doing things while Pidge was perched on his shoulders with her laptop on the top of his head, typing

They were both so hyper-focused that neither noticed Hunk quietly squeeing

He can and will fall asleep anywhere

but will wake up and be totally alert in 0.3 sec if he needs to catch someone/something

One time Kieth was standing on the kitchen counter looking for food on the top shelves bc he’s the second shortest person and he stepped back too far but Kolivan just reached out and pushed him back into a standing position without even looking up from his reading

Davey Jacobs (Musical) is Probably on the Autism Spectrum and These are Just a Handful of Reasons Why
  • The handshake issue: Davey refuses to spit shake at first then later does it but is uncomfortable (most other characters seem fine with it). This can be related to a sensory issue regarding feeling and texture and/or related to black and white thinking about germs
  • Davey vs. Les: Davey is shy and quiet while his little brother is clearly extroverted, louder, and very good at navigating social situations. Though of course siblings are usually not exactly, the same such a big difference, and in these specific areas, can be a sign of neurodivergence
  • Davey and Les: though at first Davey seems to not want anything to do with the newsies he seems very attached to his brother beyond the "well I have to look out for this kid" reasoning we usually see with siblings in media. People on the spectrum often have very very strong loyalties to those they are attached to. We also see in other lines that Davey seems to be attached to the rest of his family as well.
  • Distrust of strangers: when Davey meets jack and the other newsies he wants to know why jack would want to team up with him (I feel the average person who was more sociable or just shy would jump at the chance to have someone who knew the ropes show them around) he also seems distrustful of Katherine and other characters upon first meeting. This can be evidence of issues with social skills and a history of being bullied or often tricked which are common occurrences for those on the spectrum because people notice them as easy targets
  • Race and Davey: this is less so in the filmed version, more so in the obc production but, when race has his "look they got a mudda" line Les seems to automatically realize that this jabbing is just how the newsies talk and calls back to race. Meanwhile Davey seems much more offended, not realizing this is just a newsie thing. This seems like a problem in his ability to read social situations
  • Logic: Davey seems to be by far the most logical of the newsies with his questioning of the strike plan and trying to stop the newsies from beating up scabs and really a lot of instances in the show. Thank goodness they have him.
  • "My father taught us not to lie": Davey does not see the upside of lying about the paper's contents, he sees "lying is wrong= don't lie". This relates to the black and white thinking often found in those with ASD
  • Over explanation: when Davey and Les show up late Davey explains that they were helping their mom with something even though no one really cared. This shows he doesn't understand what would be expected of him in that social climate if he was late
  • -
  • Of course Davey develops over the course of the show but I think it's mostly that he is finally in a group that sees his value and because of that he becomes more comfortable with the newsies and himself
The signs should know...
  • Aries: it's okay to not be okay. Let yourself break down. Cry. Let someone hug you while you do it. Remember I'll still look at you like you're standing in the top of a mountain even with red stained cheeks.
  • Taurus: you don't have to be there for everyone all the time. You are and it's noticed, trust me, but the second you let someone be there for you it'll be a gift you gave yourself. You have a golden soul and it'd be a shame if you didn't get a little of it for yourself.
  • Gemini: you made the right choice(s). I trust your decisions. You are smart. And you're in too deep to go back so live your goddamn life.this is what you have TAKE IT.
  • Cancer: you're the strongest person alive. You have mountains on your back and roses in your hair and I don't know how you do it. You're amazing. Don't let the mountains get too heavy.
  • Leo: it's okay to be frustrated. Remember why you are and don't get off track when expressing those feelings. Nobody is mad at you it's okay. I love you.
  • Virgo: you've been strong for a while now (your whole life) so go ahead and rest your beautiful brain. Be weak but only for enough time to realize that being strong is something you are, it's in you, it won't change.
  • Libra: feeling uncertain is okay!!!! If you feel it in your heart, go for it. If you feel it in your gut, turn the other way.
  • Scorpio: you're not mean, and you're not difficult. You're who you were made to be and that's nothing less than the the stars in the sky.
  • Sagittarius: every word that comes out of your mouth is heard and it is so nice to hear let me tell you. You're not annoying, and you make so many people so happy.
  • Capricorn: you don't have to be the same person that everyone always thought you were so you kinda just stuck with it. Change the way you need to for yourself and everyone else will just have to adapt. But remember that whichever "you" you choose is still 100% you.
  • Aquarius: you're understood. I get you. Keep talking. Say whatever it is you'd like. It'll be absorbed and remembered and stored in hearts and minds and souls into old age. Your words will be remembered in rocking chairs on old creaky porches at 7am when I'm old.
  • Pisces: oh you are so loved. And at every moment of every day you are on someone's mind. The smell of your hair and the sparkle in your eye and the words from your mouth scar the passerby's in shapes of stars on their mind in colors we've never seen before.

“I’m serious, Lenora!” her father almost screamed in her face. Venom laid with each word, like a lash of beating. Both of her parents glared daggers at her, and even though Lena tried hard to compose herself, flaws were evident in her steel armor as tears started to form in her dark orbs in the middle of the parking lot at such a late hour. “Tu eres un nadie, es así como quieres llevar tu vida? Por qué no puedes ser más como tu hermano? Más inteligente!?” her mother continued, and even to those who couldn’t understand spanish was clear they were insults. But it was too late, Lena found a mute button and tuned both of her parents out. But it didn’t take her father long to notice she handn’t been listening, and his face reddened in anger. “Dios mío, you are worthless!,” he spat, before a second later her mother dragged him back to their limo before they woke up the whole campus. “Es mejor que no muestres tu cara este fin de semana, o te estrangularé personalmente con mis propias manos!” he even continued to shout until they finally drove off. Her knees were weak, unable to move a single inch as she remained frozen on spot. “S-Stop crying,” she whispered, demanding herself to be strong as she wipped her tears away - only to notice someone lurking in the shadows behind a few parked cars. “Show’s over!” she spat at whoever, trying to quickly search for her car keys. All she wanted to do was drive away from there as fast as possible.

untitled #22

As the bride and groom pose for photos,  one of the other bridesmaids takes me aside, she’s noticed that I’m one of the only people not crying after the ceremony.
“Here, take this,” she says, holding out a clear mask that looks like a ripple in water. “It’s called a pathos face. Nearly everyone wears them, we just don’t talk about it. You’ll never give the wrong response with it on, you’ll always laugh at the right jokes and scowl at the wrong ones, you’ll smile in every photo, and you’ll never roll your eyes when someone might catch you.”

The signs and daily thoughts of mine
  • Aries: um??¿ that's rude
  • Taurus: I shouldn't have stayed up all night
  • Gemini: This reminds me of an episode in Hannah Montana. . .
  • Cancer: At this point my outfits are brighter than my future

  • Libra: I'm trash lol
  • Scorpio: Did they just say my name? How am I suppose to respond? I mean, it could be someone else's name and I misheard it. I'll look like I'm deaf If I answer the wrong name. Wait, but what if It is my name and they feel like I hate them. Oh my god no, baby don't cry. I love you
  • Sagittarius: horoscopes are bullshit, lemme check mine just to make sure tho
  • Capricorn: Memes? Memes.

Hey, if "SEND ME A FANDOM AND I'll DRAW MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER FROM IT" is still on, I would be glad if you draw someone from Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu! Please please please)))

Okay, THIS one was the most difficult I guess) Mostly because it’s still ongoing and everything can change, but anyway…

Kikuhiko is definitely my fav at the moment, BUT during episode 1 I had a huge crush on Konatsu *V* Jeez… I only noticed how much she’s similar to Sukeroku when used references. Omg I want to cry TT

If you stare directly at the sun for too long, it would make your eyes hurt. Until you didn’t notice that you’re already crying.

One of my friends asked me how would I feel, if ever I see you being happy with someone else. And I said, that’s how it feels. Your smile would be so bright, I can no longer take it.

4851) At Pride this weekend, I saw a bunch of trans guys proudly showing off their surgery scars. I noticed a guy behind me, stopped him, and asked him for a hug. I had never met someone who had gotten top surgery before, and I started crying as I told him this. He gave me hope that, one day, I'll begin the physical part of my transition.
