somehow they continue on

Anyone remember when I said I was gonna draw that “First Kiss” comic? No? Well, no wonder because was really long ago. I ended up scrapping a few older versions because they weren’t silly enough and I couldn’t fit them in my 10-page limit. But here it finally is in all its cheesiness.

Charmed (1998 - 2006)

The Power of Three will set us free.

for @portentous-offerings who is my sick buddy today. Feel better my friend ^_^

“She’s never going to love me.”

It was so quiet she almost missed it.

“What did you say Kitty?” she asked, her face still pressed into his back from where they were cuddling in her bed.

“Forget it. I shouldn’t have said anything,” he said, rolling over and giving her a cheeky smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

“Are… are you talking about Ladybug?” she asked softly, feeling the knot of guilt that had steadily been building over the last few months of this strange friendship they had fallen into.

He didn’t bring up her alter ego very often. The subject of romance in general always seeming to carry some sort of bizarre taboo whenever he stopped by for his increasingly frequent visits. Not that Marinette had minded. She had Alya to cry to about her lack-luster love life after all, and given how unwaveringly supportive he was about all of her other problems, it seemed silly to hold it against him that he was uncomfortable talking to a girl about crushes and the like.

His eyes flashed guiltily and he rolled back over, staring out into the darkness of the room.

“Really it’s nothing,” he said again, but he couldn’t quite mask the defeated tone that colored his words.

It was a sound she was all too used to. The same defeated cadence that had echoed from her own lips after her disastrous attempt at confessing to Adrien 5 months and 27 days earlier that no amount of Rom-coms or Alya suggested poster-burning had been able to cure.

“Chat, it isn’t nothing,” she said, sitting up and gently trying to pull him back around. He didn’t budge, still keeping his gaze obstinately fixed at something that she couldn’t see. “If it matters to you… it isn’t nothing. Not to me.”

“It’s not appropriate,” he said softly, “and it’s not fair to you.”

“Shouldn’t I get to be the judge of that?”

“It would be selfish-“

“So be selfish!” she said with a slightly forced laugh. “Trust me, you have a long way to go before you catch up to my level of selfish so I am hardly one to judge.” She teased her fingers through his hair, letting her nails scratch delicately against his scalp and felt him relax in spite of himself.

“Yeah right,” he scoffed lightly, “your strange phone kleptomania aside, you’re a pretty stand-up person.”

“Hey, I will have you know I have been working very hard to reform my phone-napping ways,” she teased, hoping to draw out a real smile from him.

“You stole Alya’s phone just last week!”

“That was a special circumstance. I told you so,” she pouted. “Besides, Adrien doesn’t deserve to be taunted like that no matter what Alya might say about it,” she added softly.

She felt Chat stiffen slightly, his cat ear twitching at her words, and she was once again suspicious that he knew all about her romantic trouble regardless of their lack of conversation on the subject. She flushed at the thought.

“You are one of the most selfless people I know,” he said, reaching up to grasp her hand in his own and give it a brief reassuring squeeze.

The guilt Marinette was feeling was almost overpowering as the thought of the secrets she was keeping from him weighed on her like a stone. He had never questioned how they had fallen into such an easy friendship, and she had become too attached to having him as a part of her life- her normal everyday life- to be willing to admit the one-sidedness of it all. Here she was getting mopey over someone she had sworn she was done chasing after in front of a guy whose heart she routinely seemed to trample into the dust. Talk about selfish.

“Please just tell me,” she whispered, her fingers resuming their seductive strokes that she knew full well would reduce him to a compliant puddle in her lap.

He was silent for a few more moments before finally letting out a small defeated sigh.

“I was just thinking about everything and I guess I just…” he hesitated. “She’ll never love me. I know that. I think on some level I always suspected as much.”

His voice wasn’t bitter or angry, and that calm resignation shattered her own heart into a million pieces more than the actual words he was saying.

“I think,” he continued, “I think I will be ok with it. She loves someone else. She doesn’t really say much about it, maybe to preserve our identities or maybe because she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings, but every once in a while she lets something slip and it’s not that hard to put the pieces together. I always thought it was so cheesy in the movies when people would say things like I just want her to be happy, but I think I get it now. She’s incredible and I am always going to love her, but she doesn’t need me to make her happy.”

Marinette could feel the tears pooling behind her eyes as the words poured out of him in his soft, even tone. Her fingers were frozen, buried in his lush golden hair, her breaths turning shallow and frantic as the words reverberated through her like an electric current.

She stared down at the boy beside her. Her precious, irreplaceable kitten, who loved her so fiercely and believed in her so much. Who was willing to call her out for her faults and yet somehow still believed her capable of rising above them.

“She’s smart,” Chat continued, his voice seeming to echo in the near silence of the night, “and I know that whoever she does choose is going to be someone who can make her happy. Somebody good and funny and able to keep up with her when she is at her best and keep her grounded when she’s at her worst. So I think I can be ok with that.”

She tried to imagine what her future would be with some potential lover. Her heart lurched slightly at the thought of Adrien, her own love that was apparently not to be. She brushed that thought aside and instead tried to picture a world where she was curled up beside some new face, running her fingers through hair that wasn’t blonde.

She had to choke back a sob.

The slight twinge of pain she had felt at the momentary reminder that she and Adrien would never be more than friends was nothing to the soul rendering terror she felt at the sudden realization that finding a new love would inevitably mean losing Chat.

They would still be friends. Of course, it wouldn’t be the same. It wouldn’t be like this. He would never impose like that. Not her Chat. Her partner who was good, and funny, and who had seen her at her best and her worst, who knew her better than anyone, and who still had never made her feel anything less than precious. Her dearest friend who just the momentary thought of a life without him made her feel like she was dying.

Chat let out a small self-deprecating laugh and Marinette wondered how she had ever been so blind.

“So yeah,” he said finally twisting back around to look up at her, “I think I’ll be ok. Even if she doesn’t love me.”

She gazed down at him, his brilliant green eyes glowing in the near darkness of the night, a tired smile on his face that she longed to see transformed into his usual infectious grin, as the truth hit her like a bolt of lightning.

“I do,” she said breathlessly, before leaning down to capture his lips in a long overdue kiss.

Jared Kleinman

As promised, some head cannons

Despite the popularity of The Connor Project, Jared is still seen as the weird one in all of his friend groups. The kid everyone roles their eyes at when they think he isn’t looking.

Jared is fully aware of where he stands with his peers, but continues forward full speed ahead, because somehow he is going to make it through High School, and he is going to have friends, even if they secretly hate him.

He jokes to hide his loneliness. He truly cares for Evan as a friend, after all, they grew up together. (Jared loves nature and is totally the reason Evan likes trees, but Jared has moved on to better things, like girls and capture the flag) But Evan hurt him, and he finds that hard to forgive.

So shortly after the events of Words Fail and So Big/So Small, Evan and Jared are still distant. One day Evan shows up at Jared’s house.

  • “I’m only letting you in so my mom won’t take away my phone”

Jared realizes that Evan is crying and retorts:

  • “What, did you fall out of a tree again”

At this point Evan starts sobbing and eventually confesses to Jared about what really happened that day at the park. He let go.

Jared doesn’t know what to do so he just sits there a while as Evan cries until he puts his arm around him and reassures him that everything will be alright.

Jared’s mom interrupts them, which causes Evan to panic slightly and insist on leaving.

After Evan is gone, Jared cries.

  • How could he have not seem the pain Evan was going through?
  • What is Evan had succeeded?
  • What if Evan had died, and Connor had lived, and Jared was left with no one?
  • Why had he pushed away the only person that actually genuinely liked him?

Jared now better understands Evan’s motivation behind the Connor Project, I.e. Evan was trying to give Connor what he would have wanted.

Jared never calls Evan a “Family Friend” again. Instead he calls him buddy(I just murdered my heart)

Jared is never condescending towards Evan, never makes him feel like less of a person, or weak because of the attempt.

That doesn’t mean Jared still isn’t Jared. He picks on Evan till, just never about that. And also in a friendly way, kinda like you see in the show. He’s still Jared.

Jared worked at the pottery barn, and that’s how Evan got the job

  • “It’ll be good for you! The people are super nice, and most the customers are old and will forget about the whole experience before even making it out the door!”

Jared went out of state for college, but called Evan every weekend to check on his buddy, because he worries about him. Jared cries sometimes after hanging up partly because he misses Evan and partly because he’s afraid that Evan is lonely. He also calls the pottery barn to check up on him too.

When ever Jared is in town the boys hand out and have a blast. They  go to the park and talk about trees. Jared is salty when Evan knows tree facts that he doesn’t. Jared takes Evan to play paintball. That was an experience. Evan kicked ass due to his ability to blend in and disappear. Jared got shot multiple times and was very grumpy about it.

Evan is the only person that Jared talks to from High School besides Alana, who he sees occasionally around campus (they both received scholarships for their work on The Connor Project).

Jared can rant to Evan about anything and Evan listens and gives top notch advice.

Jared becomes the friend Evan needed, but Evan is also the friend Jared needed.

I'm Sorry Part 4

~~~~
Idle climbed the last set of stairs as he finally reached the rooftop. Going up was tiring especially when you have a backpack.
Idle sighed and opened the heavy rooftop door. He remembers this place.
“At least she got her happy ending…?”
He could still remember Colonna’s smile when she said that. It’s what inspired him to write more stories.
“Hey, Idle!” Colonna waved, sitting on a bench nearby.
“Hey, Colly!” Idle smiled.
“Remember this place, Idle?” She looked down, reminiscing the past.
“Yup. Thank you.” Idle said.
“For what?” Colonna wondered.
“I was inspired to write more stories when you suggested it. Remember?” Idle looked at her.
“For only one suggestion? Oh, please. Does a small suggestion affect so much?” Colonna raised her eyebrows.
“Yes. And I thank you for it.” Idle said.
Colonna looked down as a few tears strayed down her cheeks. “Thank you, Idle.” She hugged Idle tightly.
“Colonna? Did I say something wrong?” Idle said in worry.
“No. No, you didn’t. Just….” Colonna released her hug. “Thanks for being my friend. Despite everything.” Colonna was starting to have doubts in her plan. Why did she choose the rooftop again? It will make her regret this decision.
“Here. These are homemade cookies.” Colonna pointed her thumb at her. “My specialty.”
“Thanks.” Idle said as he opened. “Can’t wait to try it.”
5
“Almost there, guys!” Siren shouted.
“Right behind you!” Cray shouted back.
“We need to hurry or it’ll be too late!” Fresh panicked.
“Kindly explain?” Cray frowned.
“We have no time!” PaperJam said.
He and Siren pushed the heavy door of the rooftop and got out.
Once it was fully open, they saw Idle on the west part, hugging Colonna.
“We need to hurry!” Cil ran and opened the doors for them. Fastest way from east to west is the south hall. Since the shape of their school is like an upside down trapezoid, then it’s faster on the south hall.
“Oh no! Colonna gave him something!” Swifty panicked.
“Let’s go!”
4
“You sure you don’t want some?” Idle asked.
“Nah. I’m good. I just want you to try it.” Colonna said.
“It doesn’t have a weird ingredient, does it?” Idle closed his eyes, acting like he’s inspecting it with a giggle.
“What? Of course, not. What do you take me for?” Colonna acted offended.
“A friend who likes to feed friends with food that has weird ingredients.”
“Hey! I’m not that cruel!” Colonna pouted.
“Yes, you are. Remember the choco with frog meat?” Idle complained.
“Of course, I do. And Xahji avenged for you through mashmallow with pig feet.”
The two of them laughed.
3
“Why are they laughing?” Fresh wondered.
“I dunno.” Siren frowned.
“Maybe… False alarm?” PaperJam said.
“No! Fika would never lie about this!” Cray protested.
“Then let’s keep going.” Dance said as they headed for the last door. Which is locked.
“Great! Just GREAT!” Cil said irritated.
“So. Very. Great.” Siren kept banging himself against the wooden door, hoping to destroy it.
“Guys, let’s help Siren.” Dance also pushed against the door.
While PaperJam kept punching it in a tantrum.
“Guys, I see a poison bottle in Colonna’s pocket!” Swifty shouted.
“Oh no…..” Siren said and pushed at the door as hard as he can. “Idle!”
2
“I hope this tastes good.” Idle said as he picked up a cookie.
“Of course, it is. You will feel like you’re in heaven.” Colonna said. ‘Literally.’ She thought.
“Ok. I trust you on this.” Idle said as he opened his mouth to eat.
1
Just then, Siren and the others finally brought down the door.
“Idle, don’t!” Siren shouted as he grabbed Idle’s wrist to prvent him from eating it.
PaperJam, Cil, Cray and Dance tackled Colonna down to the ground.
“Siren? What’s the meaning of this?” Idle wondered.
“Good thing we got here in time. Colonna was about to poison you!” Fresh informed him.
“What?! But that’s not-” Idle started but Swifty cut him.
“Here is the poison.” Swifty took the bottle in Colonna’s pocket and threw it to Idle.
“Oh, Idle. I thought I’d lost you.” Siren hugged Idle who was stunned.
“Colonna? Is it true?” Idle looked ar her with sad eyes. His friend betrayed him?
“And so what if I did?!” Colonna shouted. “You took everything from me!” She was crying. And angry. With the hint for great envy. She only wanted to be with Siren.
“What do you mean, Colonna?” Idle asked conserned.
“Siren…..” Colonna looked at Siren with sad eyes. “He was supposed to be mine….” She let her head relax as she cried more. Her tears were staining the ground, the cookies long forgotten.
“She was behind all this.” Xahji said from behind them.
“Xahji! Snazzy!” Swifty said.
“Is your leg ok now?” Fresh asked.
“More or less.” She showed her leg to them which now has a bandage.
“We found out that Colonna was behind all that happened to Idle.” Snazzy said.
“The time where Siren found Idle all beaten up.” Xahji started. “We looked for the culprit in Snazzy’s class and asked for the caller’s number. He was still pretty spooked but he gladly gave it to us.” She explained and continued.
“I thought that the number was familiar but I didn’t stop yet. That time when someone destroyed Idle’s things.” Xahji stopped and lwt Snazzy continue the rest.
“I somehow managed to force it out the three of them. They gave me a crucial clue during the ‘interview’. They said that sounded like she was a classmate of theirs.” Snazzy crossed his arms.
“Xahji scrolled down her phone and finally saw a matching number. The number actually belonged to Colonna.” Snazzy said and glared down at her.
“And all those times where Idle was involved….” Xahji’s fist tightened.
“It was all her?” Swifty looked at Colonna with a mix of fear, hate and remorse. Where is the sweet, cheerful Colonna they once knew?
But the grips on Colonna loosened up a bit which gives her the opportunity to escape. Dance, Cil, Cray and PaperJam got knocked back by her incredible strength.
“So strong!” PaperJam groaned.
Colonna stood up, lifting her skirt up to reveal her trusty knife. She pulled it out of it’s sheathe.
“Siren-senpai noticed me…. At the worst time….” Colonna mumbled, her face covered in shadow. “I should have killed Fika from the start.” She looked at them, her left eye glowing a bright orange.
“Guys, be careful! She’s holding a weapon.” Xahji warned.
“Understood!” Everyone shouted in response.
Are you serious? You can never escape me!“ Colonna screamed.
“Colly, stop this!” Cray called for her.
“And why should I?” Colonna glared at him. Cray got scared and hid behind Cil.
“Y-you shouldn’t. Hurting others is bad!” Cil stuttered.
“Do you think I care? I already killed before!” Colonna bragged. She slashed her blade diagonally.
“This is dangerous! Stop this, please!” Dance called to her.
Colonna giggled creepily. “I think I’ll start with you.”
In a flash, Colonna was suddenly infront of Dance and slashed him across his stomach.
“Dance!” Xahji ran to him. “D, you ok?”
“J…. I’ll be fine….” Dance caressed her cheek. “I promise that I’m fine.”
“Xahji….” Dance looked behind her and saw Colonna ready to strike.
“Look out!” Dance shouted but it was to late. Colonna slashed down. They anticipated pain and blood but…. Xahji looked up and saw….
Oh no….
“Zee!” Xahji cought Snazzy as his arm bleeds rapidly. “Zee, please no…” Xahji hugged Snazzy and cried in his jacket. She looked at Colonna and widened her eye.
“Cry baby….” Snazzy teased as he felt Xahji push him down.
“Aah!”
Colonna giggled as she licks the blood off of her knife.
“Poor Xahji….” Colonna sarcastically said. “Got her one good eye slashed by my knife.”
“Xahji… Xahji, oh my gosh….” Snazzy gasped.
“Zee…. I can’t see….” The blood was staining Snazzy’s jacket but he didn’t care. All he cares about is comforting his girlfriend.
“I’m right here, Xahji. I’m right here.” Snazzy hugged her tightly as she buries her head at the crook of his neck. “I gotcha.”
“We… Both do….” Dance was gripping his wound.
“We’re still not finished yet~” Colonna raised her arm to slash them again but PaperJam punched her in the face.
“Stay away from them.” PaperJam looked at her with hatred and anger.
“Or what?” Colonna teased.
“Or I’ll kill you!” PaperJam dashed to Colonna and was ready ro punch her but she dodged to the side.
“Kill me? How?” She said mockingly. “You can’t even land a punch on me.”
“Somehow….” PaperJam answered. In truth he is only buying time for Cil, Swifty and Cray to go to Dance, Xahji and Snazzy.
“Xahji, Snazzy, Dance!” Cil, Cray and Swifty ran to them while Colonna is busy fighting PaperJam.
“Oh my gosh… Xahji, your eye!” Cray touched Xahji’s eye. She hissed in pain. “Oops. Sorry…”
“Help me, please! I don’t wanna be blind…” Xahji begged.
“You will still see. I promise.” Cray assured her.
“Dance, oh my stars…. You’re bleeding!” Cil has a worried expression.
“I’ll be…. Fine….” Dance said, voice hoarse.
“No! You’re not fine!” Cil said.
“Prioritize Xahji… Please…” Dance begged.
“No… You should go first.” Xahji answered. “You suffered more than I did.”
“But J….”
“I’m perfectly fine… See? It’s just my eye….”
Dance didn’t answered but just nodded.
“What about Snazzy?” Xahji turned to him.
“I’m right here.” He pat Xahji’s head.
“I still can’t see you….” Xahji complained….
“He’s fine. It was just a scratch on his arm. Nothing unusual.” Swifty said calmly.
“How could you be so calm about this?” Cil asked.
“I am freaking out inside but I prefer to not show it.” Swifty responded.
“Oh…  I see…” Cray facepalmed.
“PJ, be careful!” They hear Fresh shout.
They look at the fight and it was very one-sided.
PaperJam already has many cuts and bruises but Colonna has none. That gal is skilled in fighting.
“Give up, PJ!” Colonna adviced him.
“Never!” PaperJam ran to Colonna and tried to punch her. But to no avail.
Colonna sent him flying to 5 feet away from her.
“PJ!!” Fresh ran as fast as he could to PJ. Colonna grinned and dashed.
Colonna raised her knife and slashed down.
Fresh screamed as he was cut diagonally across his back.
“Aaah!” Fresh stumbled and fell but PaperJam catched him.
“Fresh!” Idle and Cray ran for them to save them. But not before Colonna hits PaperJam.
She stabbed his left leg deeply while smiling crazily. She giggled as she hastily removed the knife that made PJ scream with pain.
“PJ….” Fresh mumbled before fainting.
Cil can’t stand to watch his brother and friends get murder by this…. Yandere! He was done. He won’t let his friends die because of her!
“Swifty….” Cil murmured before looking at his friend with glassy eyes. He doesn’t even bother to cover his blind eye anymore.
“Take care of them for me….” He asked and dashed to Colonna.
“Cil, no!” PaperJam tried to reach out to Cil but his injured leg hurt. He cain’t move even if he wanted to.
“Idiot.” Colonna smirked before she stabbed Cil on his right shoulder. Oh, how his screams were music to her ears.
“How stupid of you to try and attack me.” She pushed him down and stepped on his injured shoulder which made him scream louder. “Why even try?”
“Oh no…. Our friends are down…. What do we do?” Idle asked Siren as they slowly made their way to Swifty and the others.
“I…. Don’t know….” Siren looked down. “If only I had a weapon.”
Idle looked shocked at that. “W-what do you mean a weapon?”
Siren looked at Colonna and down at Cil. He can’t stand seeing her torture him anymore.
“Colly….” Idle looked at Colonna and ran to her.
“Idle, don’t!” Swifty shouted. Colonna look at his direction and smiled widely.
“Idle! It’s been a pleasure.” She faced him, completely abandoned Cil who’s slowly recovering from all the pain he’s feeling.
“Colly, let’s talk about this…” Idle stepped closer.
“Y'know, you should have let me kill you.” Colonna took a step forward. Cil took this chance to slowly stand up and sneak out of the rooftop.
“Colly?” Idle called for her. She didn’t answer and just raised her knife. “Don’t do this.”
“Too late.” She struck down but instead of Idle, she slashed….
“S….senpai?” Colonna regrets what she has done. She quickly dropped her knife as she lost her balance. She can’t believe that she slashed her very own senpai.
“Siren!” Siren fell down as there were many blood dripping down his chin.
“Idle….” He held Idle’s cheek. Idle’s tears were dropping to his face as he passed out.
Idle sighed and set Siren down with Swifty.
“My brothers….” Swifty murmured.
“Take care of them, Swifty. I’ll handle her.” Idle said to his best friend and walked to Colonna.
“I’m sorry…. I’m sorry…. I’m so so sorry….” Colonna kept apologizing to no one in particular. She looks straight at Swifty holding Siren. Her own tears are staining her now bloody dress.
“Colly?” Idle came close to Colonna and hugged her.
“Wha-” Colonna wondered. Why is he hugging her.
“I…. Forgive you…” Idle hugged Colonna tighter.
Her tears bursted again, flowing endlessly. But she can not live with the guilt of having to have hurt her senpai… And almost killing her closest friends…. She gives up.
She sees the shine of her very bloody knife. As she thought of something.
She slowly took it and pulled it between the two of them.
She repeatedly apologized over and over and over again. Idle noticed, of course. He noticed Colonna’s change in movement.
“I’m…. Sorry…. Idle….” Her last words before stabbing the knife.
Idle gasped, eyes widening.
“Colonna… You….” Idle slowly let go of the hug to confirm it. He felt it. He definitely felt it.
He felt Colonna stab the knife to herself. She gave one last smile before falling front.
Oh no…..
Please, no…..
Colonna…..
“What happened here?!” The voice of Error was suddenly heard. Idle and Swifty looked at him, seeing that he has companions. Palette, Goth, Qiull, Mr. Ink and Mr. Nightmare were with him.
“Mr. Error… I….” Idle’s tears have gone dry. His pupils have no emotions at all. His different colors are completely drained to gray.
“Call Ambulance. Now.” Ink commanded to his son.
He last saw was Nightmare going to him.
Hey… Can you hear me?
“Sirius I am going to kill you, you know.” Lily threw her bag onto the chair beside the door and kicked of her shoes making them fly half ways across the room and narrowly avoiding Sirius’ head.
“Oi, Evans!” He gestured widely, first towards her and then the shoe, now on the floor. “What’s now?”
“That bloody interview you idiot.”¨
“Interview…you’ll have to refresh my memory here Evans.”
“Well let’s see.” She reached into her bag and pulled out a very ruffled magazine. “Boy band ‘The Marauders’ appeared from nowhere with their hit single ‘I solemnly swear’  which reached the top of the charts all over the world. Now, a year later, I sit here with guitarist Sirius Black for a exclusive interview.” Lily traced the page with her finger. “Wait, here it is. When questioned about the rumoured relationship with actress Marlene McKinnon he laughs and leans towards me. ‘If you’re looking for the juicy love story. I’m not your guy.’”
“So?” Sirius shrugged.
“So. This morning, just after this very interview.” She shook the magazine frantically, “went out. The dear interviewer went out on twitter.”’
time lapses/jumps v continuity errors
it’s come to my attention that some of y’all tend to confuse one for the other,,, which saddens me bc skam is literally all about time lapses/jumps; it’s one of the things that makes it!!! so special!!
the time jumps in skam are meant to show you exactly that – a time jump from one cut to another. it’s a very, very small cut that could mask as a continuity error, but taken in the context it’s actually presented to us (a time jump) it has a huge impact on the scene if you keep an eye out for one
thank you @stardefiant for being a bae and helping catch some of these
anyway ahem
an example of an actual continuity error:
even’s arm in this shot is obviously around emma
but when the shot pans out, even’s arm is back at his side:
we know this is a continuity error because this scene is dialogue-heavy and meant to transition smoothly. no time has actually lapsed between even’s greeting and emma’s excited greeting in return, so there is no reason why his arm shouldn’t have stayed around emma. silly skam editors.
now, here’s a (very obvious) example of a time jump:
Sneak Preview!
So my short one-shot for @elsewhereuniversity has become a 7,000 words and counting story. Since I’m still working on it I figured I’d give ya guys a sneak peak at it!
~
Your new roommate greets you with a smile, clothes like a bunch of sharpies threw up on them, and an extended hand.
“Hi, I’m Reagan!”
You take the hand, note the faint scars crisscrossing like a maze across the skin.
“Um, hi.”
They are so short they have to tip toe to look over your shoulder. “Do you need any help with your stuff?” You shake your head and Reagan nods, still smiling, before leaving the door open and going back to their side. “Kay, just let me know if you do.”
They are wearing the shoes that light up when you walk and you had no idea those came in adult sizes. Or maybe their feet are small? You pick up your first bag and enter the dorm, prepared for your first year at university.
You are not prepared, however, for the cat that sits on your roommate’s bed.
“Uh… we’re allowed pets here?”
Reagan looks up from their laptop, looking confused. “Pets?”
You put your bag down on your side of the room and point to the black long haired cat curled up on their tie dye sheets. Reagan follows your finger and blinks at the cat.
“That’s not a pet. That’s Skooma.”
Pause. “Like in Skyrim?”
Reagan gives you another grin. “Naw, I played Morrowind.” Nervous laughter. “I’m old.”
“I’m still pretty sure we’re not allowed cats.”
Their face goes blank and they stare.  If it weren’t for the blinking you would think they’d died or something.
“It’s… Skooma.”
Clearly, you aren’t getting anywhere about this. You’d just wait for an RA to find out or a teacher or something. It would be sad but you didn’t want to get into trouble. You put your first bag down and go to grab your other two. The meeting is at noon so you have some time to unpack and get things situated. You glance over at your roommate’s side, wondering how they’ve set their stuff up. Reagan is sitting against the wall, laptop on their lap and typing with a speed that sort of intimidates you. They haven’t even removed their shoes. Actually… now that you’re looking at their side it’s kinda… bare. Their sheets are bright tie dye that hurts to look at, there’s a rolling Hello Kitty suitcase beside the bed, and their desk is empty except for a brown, round bed, supposedly for the cat still curled up on the sheets. Other than those things the entire side of their room has no trinkets, posters, not even a litter box.
You wonder if it would be rude to put up your own posters. You eye your small framed photo’s and the Furby you’d brought. No, no, you couldn’t let something like this intimidate you. It was stupid. Who cared what your roommate did. You pull out your posters and sticky tack and try to artfully arrange them on the walls. The photos and Furby are put on your desk along with your brand new Graduation laptop.
“You might want to take the batteries out.”
You jump, in the middle of pulling out clothes and hanging them in the shared closet. “Uh… what?”
Reagan has a pair of thick, expensive looking headphones around their neck, squooshing their face. “That Furby. You should take out the batteries. Might end up hearing things you don’t want to.”
You can only stare at such a weird request.
Reagan smiles. “Just a suggestion.” They put the headphones back on and continue working on their laptop. Somehow, the cat has migrated to their lap and the computer is almost falling off their knees but they don’t seem bothered.
You wait but when they don’t do anything else you put away the last of your clothes. Reagan’s side of the closet isn’t as bare as their side of the room, at least. Just… very bright. You think some of the sneakers are heely’s for goodness sake. Who even wears those anymore? You check the time. It’s almost noon and you just know you’ll get lost on your way to the freshman meeting. You put on a new t-shirt and grab a small jacket just in case. You’re out the door before pausing. Wait… You poke your head back in.
“Uh…” Can they even hear you with those headphones on? Yet Reagan pulls them off and looks up expectantly. “Um, are you coming?”
The smiling is starting to creep you out. “To what? The freshman meeting? God no, I’m definitely not a freshman!”
What.
“What.”
“Pffft, the look… no, no, my old roommate, uh, left and I guess they had to stick someone in here.” They reach down and scratch the cat’s ears. “If you don’t like bein’ my roommate just give it a bit and I’m sure some rooms will open up.”
“Um… kay. Well, I guess I’ll see you later?”
Reagan waves with their unoccupied hand then yelps as their laptop takes a tip. You leave to muttered cursing and something that sounds like hissing air.
You only get lost once on your way to the meeting and so you’re quite early. A cheerful older student comes up and gives you a nametag. She tells you to write your name on it, but not your true name. Whatever that means. You’re staring at the nametag in confusion (do you put your full name? What the heck is a true name?) When another student comes up to you. He’s got a bit of a beard and his curly hair barely fits under his University cap.
“Havin’ some issues?”
“Uh, yeah. I was told to put my name on it but… not my true name?”
He wrinkles his nose and sighs. “Best to go with a nickname. Make ‘em happy, eh?”
It’s still weird but you put a nickname anyways and peel off the back to stick it to your t-shirt.
“Well, anyways, my name’s Harris.” You shake his hand, calloused and rough.
‘Uh, well, you already know mine.” You point to your tag.
“Now I do. What’s your room number? I’m pretty sure I can find your RA for you, I know ‘em all.”
You have to pull the crumpled piece of paper from your pocket and peer at your writing. “Um… I’m in room fourty-four floor four.”
When you look back up from putting the paper away you freeze. Because he’s… he’s staring at you with something like fear or pity.
“So, uh, fourty-four floor four, huh. Um… you met your roommate yet?”
“Yes…..?”
He nods shakily. “Good. That’s… good.”
“Is… is something wrong? They’re not some sort of murderer or something are they?”
“What? No, no.” He wipes his hands on his jeans. “Just… be careful, kay?”
O….kay?
“Is this about the ca-”
His hands clap around your mouth and holy shit you thought people only did that in movies.
“Nope. Nothing to do with them. Or it. Or anything.” You duck away from his gross, sweaty hands and give him a dubious stare. “Well, uh, the RA for floor four is that girl in the blue jacket.” He takes off, giving you looks over his shoulder.
Your RA gives you an absent nod and a smile before returning to her phone and you sit in a provided chair. You thumb on your own phone, blessed anti-social device. Noon passes and when the stragglers thin, the RA claps to get attention and smiles at everyone. You half listen to the speech. Some of it seems odd (carrying iron? Salt? The bowls by the doors had to be filled with milk?) but most was the usual stuff you had already read in the papers they hand out. Yes, you read them.
But, then…
“Oh, and who is staying in room fourty-four?”
You blink. What. Cautiously, you raise your hand and shrink when everyone looks at you.
The RA, you already forgot her name, smiles at you. “Excellent, I have to speak to you after the tour, okay?”
You nod, what else could you do? As the RA continues on, a girl beside you, glasses taking up half her face and hair pulled into a ponytail pokes you in the shoulder.
“What’s so special about room fourty-four?” She whispers through a lisp.
You shrug.
The boy on the other side of her leans over, almost falling into the girls’ lap and she pushes at his shoulder. “Do you have a single room?”
You shake your head. “No, I have a roommate.”
Both of them stare at you. The girl pulls at her skirt. “Who is it?”
“Um, they’re not a freshman. So… they’re not here.”
The boy smacks his hand on the back of the girls chair. “What? No way!”
The RA clears her throat, staring at them pointedly. The two shrink back, still giving you looks. You hope you can avoid them when the tour starts. As usual, it is not to be, and the two corner you as the group is herded together.
“So,” The girl starts. Her nametag says Bea in looping, over exaggerated cursive. “You have a roommate in a freshman dorm building who’s not a freshman?”
“Uh, yeah, that’s what I said.”
They stare at you. You stare back.
The boy, his nametag says Gary in blocky, thick pen, throws up his hands. “Well?! You can’t just say that and then not explain anything!”
You open your mouth, to say <i>i can’t tell if they’re female or male and everytime i think of asking i can’t they have a cat that doesn’t look like a cat and they smile too much</i> but the words catch in your throat and you don’t say anything.
Bea scowls at you, crossing her arms over her chest. “Whatever. C’mon, Gary, we’ll probably see this mystery roommate eventually.” she stalks off in her high heels, skirt swishing about her knees. Gary gives you a glare before following.
You wonder if you’ve lost some potential friends.
“Well, they were rude.”
You yelp and whirl around, your own hair smacking into your face.
Reagan smiles at you, wearing an eye searing orange hoodie and bright pink sweatpants. They are pulling their Hello Kitty suitcase behind them and you have no idea how you didn’t hear them approach.
“I was just heading out and saw you about to start your tour so I decided to say hi.” They tsk and shake their head. “But instead I hear some truly rude people. Those two won’t make any friends like that. Are you okay, though?”
You work your jaw and give them a watery smile. “Uh, yeah, I’m fine.” For some reason the question makes the two’s snubbing hurt even worse.
Reagan looks into the distance, seeming lost in thought. It goes on long enough you shuffle uncertainly. Just as you’re about to speak they meet your eyes and give you a grin. “Don’t worry about people like them. Oh! Here, you should wear this.” They reach into their hoodie pocket and pull out a bead bracelet. It’s made of those cheap plastic beads you get in kid jewellry making kits. All you can tell is that the colours are bright and many, pinning down the pattern or naming any makes your head hurt.
You accept it.
For some reason you slip it onto your wrist. It’s made of that stretchy string you get in the kits and easily fits. Against your wrist you can see some of the beads are the white letter ones and you flip them over.
Your name.
“Well, I’ll let you get back to your tour. See ya!” Reagan turns, the suitcase making no noise as it runs over the gravel. Their hood is bulging outwards and you can see a black, fluffy tail draped over the edge. Two bright yellow eyes stare at you.
You are not sure when you return to the group. The tour guide’s don’t mention it, in fact they avoid looking at you altogether. You listen to the speeches about the cafeteria and how to use meal points. You follow as they show everyone the library, the on site gym, hand out maps for campus. You rub the bracelet, feeling the square beads in between the round ones.
You… are pretty sure you never told anyone your full name.
Nothing you own has your full name on it.
Only your student number was on your assigned room sheet.
After the tour everyone is herded into the cafeteria for lunch (provided by the school specifically for the freshman). You find your floors RA and tap her on the shoulder. She turns, giving you a customer service generic smile.
“Uh, you wanted to see me after the tour?”
The other older students she was talking to peer at you curiously. Harris is the only one actively avoiding looking at you.
“Oh! Excellent, just give me a sec, you guys.” You follow when she walks into an unoccupied corner. “Okay, your roommate was there when you went to your room, right?”
“Uh… yeah.”
“Thought so. So the… uh, previous roommate left some stuff and I figured you could use it.”
“What? Like… clothes? Shouldn’t that stuff be given to, um, someone else?”
She laughs and reaches into her pocket. “Not that kind of stuff.” She pulls out a bag of dried salmon cat treats, a small toy mouse, and a pair of glasses with one of the lenses cracked.You take it because she won’t stop holding the stuff out to you expectantly.
You stare at it. “Um, doesn’t this cat stuff belong to my roommate?”
She shakes her head. “You’ll need it. But don’t wear those,” she points to the glasses. “All the time. They’re brushed with iron. Don’t want to see stuff you shouldn’t!” She laughs, too bright, too loud. “Well, good luck!” And she leaves you standing there with an armful of weird cat things and a pair of useless glasses. You don’t even wear glasses. Actually… you touch the lenses. They’re plastic.
Weird.
Bughead writing prompt where Betty has a crush on Jughead and she gets jealous and he's entirely oblivious
Hope you like it!!! Thank you for requesting!! <3
“Excuse me, do you know where I can find Jughead Jones?” four faces frowned at the odd question that echoed over their heads and stopped their previous cheerful chat on their usual lunch table, Kevin even mentally counting them in his mind to be sure that all of them were present and not anyone of their small group of friends was actually the one to be looking around for Jughead. Nope, Archie was to his side, Betty and Veronica across him; then who the hell was asking for Jughead?
Warnings: Swearing, cuddling(?)
A/N: Hey cuties! I had a lot of fun writing this one! It is a little longer than usual so I hope you don’t mind. But seriously guys, I looooooooved writing this request!! I hope you lovelies have an amazing day or night! I love you with all my heart!!:)
Request: Can you do a Poly Hamilsquad x Reader where the squad is trying to find a girlfriend that suits all of them (Alex wants her to be smart, John wants her to be funny, ect.), the reader is a long time friend of the squad who is just hanging around and it ends with the squad realizing she has all of what they’re looking for? - @onelastfic
“They need to be smart. I can’t be dating an idiot. I want them to be able to stay up late with me wondering about the universe and what it holds. They need to be able to hold their end on an intelligent conversation.” Alex decided, Herc scribbling down smart on his notepad.
“They have to be funny. I can’t date someone without a sense of humor. They can’t be rude jokes though, they need to understand the line between funny and offensive. I just want to be able to never stop laughing with them.” John explained, Herc writing down funny underneath smart.
“I want them to be passionate. I don’t care what they are passionate about, but it needs to be something they would stand for and that they love. I want them to just go on for hours about this thing and watch their face light up with happiness.” Lafayette smiled at the thought, Herc once again writing down what he had said on the notepad.
“I want them to be affectionate. I love being able to just cuddle someone for hours on end and I want them to be okay with that. They need to also not focus on one of us with their love, but equal with their cuddles and affections.” Hercules said, finishing off the list on his notepad.
“So, what are we looking for?” John asked, trying to peek around Hercules to see the list he had wrote.
“We want to date someone who is smart, funny, passionate and loving.” Herc read off, the boys around him smiling and nodding their heads.
“Whatcha guys up to?” You asked, walking into the small kitchen where they were gathered.
“OH MY GOD!” Alex screamed, not knowing you had walked into the kitchen.
“Sorry.” You apologized, watching Alex catch his breath from the scare.
“He’s so jumpy.” John laughed, watching Alex still look around with panic on his face.
“What’re you doing here, (Y/N)?” Hercules asked, only to receive a dirty look from you.
“Did you forget what tonight is?” You asked, glaring at the four boys that sat around the table.
“Shit! It’s movie night!” Laf yelled in realization as the other boy’s eyes widened.
“We’ll set up right now! Alex will keep you company!” John shouted, running out of the room with Herc and Laf right behind him.
“Damn. Sorry we forgot, (Y/N).” Alex apologized, moving a stool out for you to sit next to him.
“Don’t worry about it, you guys get busy. It’s not really that big of a deal.” You shrugged.
“Even if we do get busy, we shouldn’t have forgotten movie night.” Alex mumbled, slouching slightly in his seat.
“If I say I forgive you guys, can we go on like it never happened?” You asked lightly, placing your hand gently on his slumped shoulder.
“I guess that could work…” Alex said looking up to see you smiling brightly at him.
For just a second he forgot you were his best friend and saw you as something more, much more. Before he knew it, you had taken him into a conversation about Professor Washington’s newest assignment for class. He had never realized just how smart you were. Wait, smart? He reprimanded himself for thinking you were just smart. You were a genius and it simply amazed him.
As you passionately explained in great detail what you would do for the assignment, Alex got lost in his thoughts. He didn’t know why he hadn’t seen it sooner? You were perfect for not only him, but his boyfriends too. The new partner that they had been looking for had been right in front of them the whole time.
“Alex, are you even listening to me?” You asked, slightly annoyed with Alex as he sat there with jaw hanging wide open.
“Sorry, I just caught up in my thoughts. I heard the beginning, but could you say the rest of it again?” Alex asked, a small blush dancing across his cheeks.
“Maybe later, the boys just said they were done setting up. We gotta go help them decide the movie.” You stood up quickly, offering your hand to Alex to help him stand up.
“Thanks.” Alex said barely above a whisper, his cheeks having heated up more at the touch of your hand on his.
“Of course!” You grinned, deciding to ignore the obvious blush on the cheeks. You walked to the living room with Alex right behind you.
“What took you two so long?” Hercules asked as the two walked through the door.
“I had to wake Alex from his daydreaming.” You said, nodding your head back to the man that had entered after you.
“What were you daydreaming of, mon amour?” Laf asked, the curiosity easy to see on his face.
“I…uh…well…” Alex stuttered, the blush that had finally faded from his cheeks making a bold return.
“He was probably fantasizing being far away from us and writing to his heart’s content.” You giggled, saving Alex from having to come up with some ridiculous excuse.
“I doubt it. He was probably daydreaming about being on a private island with us three.” John smirked suggestively as he wiggled his eyebrows.
“Or maybe he was dreaming about that private island with Professor Washington.” You smirked back, the three boys laughing loudly at the joke while Alex’s blush somehow grew bigger.
John continued to laugh while you said a couple more playful jabs to Alex about his love for Professor Washington. His laugh faded as he instead became entranced by how playful you were with his boyfriends. You fit in so well with them and made them all laugh so hard. How had he been so blind?
It was obvious now what Alex had been daydreaming about, it was you. Alex and John made eye contact, travelling a silent message. They both agreed that you fit their dream partner almost perfectly. They just had to wait for the other two to realize it on their own.
“Can we just vote on the movie now?” Alex asked, having enough with being embarrassed by his friend and boyfriends for the night.
“Sounds like a good idea to me!” Herc’s voice boomed through the room. “Everyone pull out the movie you want us to watch tonight and then we will decide from there.”
“You know this always causes a lot of arguments, maybe we should try something different.” You suggested, watching the other three boys shove each other over as they reached for their favorite movies.
“Nah, it’s funny to see everyone argue, besides we always stop it before we get hurtful or too intense.” Herc shrugged, laughing at the struggle the others were having as the fought to grab their movie of choice. “Now grab your pick so we can debate!” Herc pushed you forward gently.
You quickly dodged the boys rough housing and grabbed one of your favorite movies of all time, ‘Peter Pan’. You knew the boys were going to complain because they all thought it was some overrated kids movie, but had any of them ever taken the time to sit down and watch it? No, so they didn’t have any room to judge it.
“Okay, so I have-” Alex started only to be cut of by John.
“Boo! It sounds boring!!” John yelled, before looking around the room with his puppy dog eyes. “Can we, please, start watching the movie of my choice?” The boys hummed small agreements to his question, so that they wouldn’t have to deal with an overheated debate with Alex and John.
“No way! I want to argue my movie and you guys are going to listen!” You protested, jumping up from the couch and standing in front of the four. “Peter Pan”
“That movie is so overrated!” Laf cried, quickly being silenced by your sharp glare.
“As I was saying, Peter Pan. It is simply amazing in every single way, it is a classic. The art in the movie is beautiful, just wait till you see Neverland! This has been my favorite since I was a child and it will never change, why should it? It is a story that makes you want to run away and discover places you’ve never been. Discover your own Neverland. Besides, who are you to judge a movie you have never seen?” You ranted on passionately, almost out of breath.
From on the couch, Lafayette watched you with pure adoration. He had seen when Alex had gone into his full on rants and trust me he thought those were adorable, but you? Right now you were baring your heart to him and it was simply irresistable. The way that your eyes lit up at their protests against the movie. He had never realized how much fire and passion you had.
In fact, now that he thought about it, why had he never noticed you in the first place? You were almost always with them. Each moment that had with you was so amazing. You were always sharing new ideas and the passion you had for them. As he thought about this it made him finally understand what they had been missing. It was like a new beautiful light had started to shine down on his life. From the look in his eyes, Alex and John knew that he had fallen for you just as hard as they had.
“Let’s watch it!” Laf smiled, interrupting the second half of your rant that you had started.
“Are you serious?” You asked in shock.
“Of course I am! Go put the disk in.” Laf encouraged, watching you skip with joy to the tv.
Lafayette, John and Alex exchanged looks, knowing what they had to do. They all scooted as far away as possible from a very confused Hercules. He looked at them sadly, not knowing why they would leave him to watch the movies without their usual cuddling.
“Cuddles?” Herc asked, looking at the boys in confusion with his bulky arms wide open.
“No.” Alex said simply as the Laf and John shook their heads no.
“What am I supposed to do during the movie without someone to hold?” Hercules asked, not knowing what to do now with his hands.
“Why don’t you snuggle, (Y/N)?” Laf suggested, trying to act nonchalantly about it.
“Fine, I will.” Herc huffed, but he didn’t really know what he was complaining about. You were one of the best people he knew to snuggle with.
“Get ready for the best movie you will ever see.” You announced plopping down on the empty space on the couch.
“Snuggle me?” Hercules asked you, looking at you with some of the saddest eyes you had ever seen.
“Aw, of course Herc!” You exclaimed, quickly moving in a position where you would both be comfortable.
Hercules wrapped his arms around you, pulling your back tightly to his chest so the two of you were spooning. For some reason he found his drifting to your face as the movie began. He could feel you snuggling closer to him within the first 10 minutes of the movie. He didn’t realized he had missed the whole beginning until he heard a snicker from the other end of the couch.
He looked up to see his 3 boyfriends smirking at him and giggling like little kids. Of course they had set this up, but he was glad they had. He had been the last to realize it, but you were the perfect addition they had been looking for. You had fit each of their requirements and he was very impressed with how good you were at cuddling. If he thought about it, you were never one to say no to cuddling with any of them.
“Alex.” You whisper to the boy on your other side. “Come snuggle with us, please.” You begged, opening your arms for him to join you and Herc.
“If you insist.” Alex couldn’t help the smile on his face as he quickly jumped on top of the two of you.
“I can’t miss out on this opportunity of cuddling!” John yelled, moving on the couch so you were now spooning him. He loved being the baby spoon.
“You can’t exclude me!” Lafayette protested, smashing himself on top of all four of you. His long arms wrapped around all of you easily as he snuggled his face in between Herc’s and your shoulders.
As you continued to watch the movie, you could feel four pair of eyes on you. They watching your face carefully, making it very hard to focus on the movie. They were hiding something from you, it was painfully obvious.
“Why are you all looking at me?” You asked, not taking your eyes off of the bright screen.
“H-how did you know we were looking at you?” Laf stuttered, making John facepalm slightly at his slip up.
“It’s obvious.” You grabbed the remote and paused the movie before looking at each of the boys. “What are you hiding from me?”
“We’ve been looking for a new partner lately. Alex wants them to be intelligent, John wants them to be smart, Laf wants them to be passionate and I wanted them to be affectionate. We’ve been blind for so long to not see the perfect person for us was here all along.” Herc said, looking nervously for your reaction.
“I’m so happy for you guys! Who is it?” You asked, forcing out a grin.
It had been painfully obvious how much you had been crushing on these boys for the past year, but you would support them in whatever made them happy. Even if that happiness did not include you.
“It’s you. We want you to be our new partner, (Y/N).” John said, your eyes widening in shock at his words.
“M-me?” You choked out, not believing the words that had just left John’s mouth.
“You are amazing, mon ange. We have been so dumb not to realize that you are so much more than a friend to us.” Laf smiled gently, the boys watching you carefully.
“I would love that so much!” You exclaimed, pulling them all into a group hug. “I can’t believe you never noticed the crush I’ve had on you boys for years!”
“We can be very oblivious sometimes.” Alex laughed, pressing kisses to everyone’s head.
“More like all the time.” You scoffed, hearing them all protest at your statement.
“Now that this is out of the way, let’s enjoy this movie.” Herc smiled, waiting for everyone to readjust in their cuddling before he started the movie again.
You didn’t know how you could be so lucky to suddenly have four amazing boyfriends. You couldn’t keep the wide grin off of your face. To say you were happy was an understatement. You knew that maybe it was too early to say that you were falling in love with them, but it was the truth. You had been falling in love with them the moment you had met them a year ago in the library that was on campus. Lucky for you, you weren’t the only one feeling this way. They were falling for you just as hard.
i loved you, then i lost you {3}
pairing: taehyung x reader
genre: fluff + angst
summary:  you watched and watched as taehyung suffered from his one-sided love, comforting him when he cried, comforting him as he threw up those fucking flower petals. it hurt you whenever he would stare lovingly into that girl’s eyes, giggling and playing with her hair. it pained you when he kept throwing up flowers, pushing the thought that his lover didn’t love him away; he was so dejected, yet he never saw how much happiness he brought to you.
Jimin accompanied you on your way home, trying to lighten up the mood. “Hey, (y/n)! Wanna get ice cream?!” He pointed at a small convenience store, his face lighting up. You looked up to where his finger pointed at, shivering.
“It’s cold, Jimin,” you protested only to be shushed by the smaller male.
“That’s alright! I can pay, too! I got lots of money!” Jimin grinned, grabbing your hand and skipping happily into the store. He waved at the cashier, rushing over to the ice cream on display in the mini freezer. “Which one do you want?” He turned to you, the bright smile lighting up the gloomy store.
You felt yourself smiling back, sticking your cold hands in your pockets. “The Oreo one.”
“Oo, nice choice!” He opened the freezer door, reaching his hand inside and grabbing the Oreo ice cream, handing it to you. “I’ll just get a pint of vanilla~” He sang, grabbing his own ice cream and dragging you to the cashier. He whistled happily as he payed, grabbing two spoons from the little box provided on the counter. “Thank you!” Jimin yelled as the two of you exited the store swiftly.
“Ice cream is the best for these kinds of nights, ya know?” He whispered, opening the ice cream and sticking his spoon in. You opened the wrapper, biting down on the ice cream.
“Shit!” You yelped, feeling a shiver run down your spine. “Fuck, I shouldn’t have bitten down with my front teeth,”
Jimin laughed as the two of you walked, eating his own ice cream. “So..” he mumbled after a while of eating. “What’s with you and the Taehyung dude?”
You paused, staring straight forward. “W-What do you mean?”
“I mean, you seemed super uncomfortable when he came by.” Jimin explained, looking up at the house in front of him. “Is this your house?”
You nodded, clutching on the ice cream stick tightly. “Yep.”
“Did he live here, too?”
You rushed up the stairs to your front door, walking inside and shutting the door closed. “Wait, was that too personal? I’m sorry!” Jimin whined, walking up the stairs carefully.
“I-It’s fine, Jimin,” you yelled through the door, coughing loudly onto the ground.
“(y/n)?! Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, just go!” You continued to yell, struggling to speak with the flowers interrupting you. The ice cream fell onto the ground as you trembled, slamming your hand on the floor. Tears fell down onto the flowers, splattering into tiny drops. You covered your mouth to muffle the hiccups, the tears streaming down your hand and chin, dropping onto the floor. “Mmf..” You murmured, curling up into a ball.
Both you and Jimin never finished your ice cream that day.
You groaned as your phone vibrated on the wooden table next to your bed, covering your ears. “Who the fuck is calling me at this time!”
You grabbed your phone, letting out a hiss of pain at the brightness of the screen, and stared at the caller ID. ‘Unknown,’ it read. You gulped, answering the call hesitantly, putting it on speaker and clearing your throat. “Hello?”
“H-Hello? Is this (y/n)?”
“Jungkook? How- why-” You cleared your throat once again, sitting up-right in your bed. “How did you get my number and why are you calling me at six AM?”
Jungkook chuckled nervously, letting out a shaky breath. “Yoongi gave it to me.”
“Look, I only know you as a bartender,” you mumbled, rubbing your temple. “This is weird, you know that? Someone at a bar, that I was forced to go with against my will, has gotten my number and called me at six AM,”
“Wait, it’s not like a creepy thing or anything!” Jungkook argued. “I rarely have, um..normal friends, so I got excited.”
You sat there silently for a few seconds before continuing. “What do you mean, normal friends?”
Jungkook sighed. “They’re all drug addicts and alcoholics.”
You brought the phone up to your ear, taking him off speaker. “Drug addicts, not to mention also alcoholics?” A chuckled escaped your lips. “You don’t seem like the kind of man to be friends with those people, international playboy.”
Jungkook laughed. “Hey, that’s just a nickname I have. Call me Jungkook, it feels less awkward!” You laughed with him, covering your mouth to somehow silence it. After a while, Jungkook laughed quietly, sniffling. You looked up at your ceiling, laying yourself back into the comfort of your bed.
“Ahh..April, huh?” You murmured. “You got allergies?”
“Yup.” Jungkook groaned, blowing his nose. You laughed.
“Gross.”
“Hey, it’s part of human nature, man!” He joked, putting an obnoxious accent to pair with his words.
“Still gross.”
He laughed again. “I have to go. Have a nice day, (y/n).”
You let out a sigh of satisfaction. “Yep. Hope you have a nice day too, playboy Jungkook.”
“Hey, it’s Jungkook!” He grumbled, hanging up the call. You threw your phone onto your bed, standing up and stretching your arms. You did the usual routine you did everyday, combing your hair slowly.
Cursing at the knots in your hair, you checked your side of your head to hide the small mishap in your hair. “God, I need to cut my hair soon,” is what you always said, but was too scared to do so. You sprinted downstairs, glancing at the clock. You were skipping college classes. That wouldn’t be such a problem, right? You shrugged, grabbing a granola bar and walking out your front door.
You walked around the street in your neighborhood, munching quietly on your breakfast. Not many people were up and about this early in the morning, they themselves also not good with mornings from your observations. “Hey, (y/n)!” A strong voice echoed from behind, making your turn behind with the granola bar in your mouth.
“Hmf?” You took the bar out, staring at Yoongi panting with his hands on his knees.
“Fuck, you walk too fast..” He groaned, walking over to you with quick breaths. “I can’t keep up.”
You giggled, breaking the granola bar in half and handing a piece to Yoongi. “What are you doing here this early, grandpa?”
“I am not a grandpa,” he scoffed. “And I could say the same about you.”
“I asked you first.”
He stuck the granola bar in his mouth, shrugging and pointing at his stuffed cheeks. “Canft talg.”
You rolled your eyes, crossing the street and patting down your hair. “No, seriously, why are you here? I didn’t tell you where I was going and I don’t remember us making any plans.”
Yoongi gulped down the rest of the bar, wiping his mouth. “Jungkook kept bothering me to give him your number. I couldn’t go back to sleep.” You chuckled. “Did he actually call you?”
“Yeah.”
He cursed loudly, jumping himself up onto the edge of the sidewalk. “That kid, I swear to god if he wakes me up one more time-”
You paused. “..Wait, was he in your house?”
Yoongi froze, scratching the back of his neck. “Yeah. He would’ve gone with his friends if I didn’t bring him.” he shrugged. “It’s the normal.”
“Must be hard for him, huh?” You murmured as the two of you reached a small cafe. You read the large letters on the front. “Rose D’or,” you read, grabbing Yoongi’s arm. “Wanna sit?” He nodded, sitting down across from you.
“The kid has a really messed up past, you know.” Yoongi spoke, leaning back in his chair. You cocked an eyebrow, staring at him with interest.
“Really? All I know is that he has weird friends.” Yoongi shrugged. You continued, “Can you tell me more?”
He tilted his head. “I can. But if something happens because you did something or said something about his past, I’m not part of this.”
“Deal.”
Yoongi sat up, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Jungkook’s parents weren’t really that bad. They just fought a lot and..the fights were intense.” He gripped his hand around the arm rest of the chair. “He told me that they’d throw stuff everywhere, then have sex later,” he chuckled softly. “His family was poor, too. Mother was a prostitute to earn money, no one knows what the dad did. Dad left not a long time after Jungkook got into middle school.” You tightened the grip on your knees, biting down on the inside of your cheek. Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows. “His mother got fucked up after that. She wasn’t great with people leaving her. She went all..psycho and did fucked up shit.” His eyes followed a man walking into the cafe, wetting his lips with his tongue.
“She started getting abusive until Jungkook found out about me in high school.”
You blinked. “Wait, high school? Weren’t we friends at that time?”
“I didn’t wanna tell you. He was super shy at that time, too.” He continued, “Anyways, he somehow became friends with those..people. I don’t know how he got to know them, but he almost got cuffed up by being with them during their weird acts.” He rolled his eyes. “Those people are obnoxious as fuck, not to mention sneaky.”
You waited for him to finish, surprised when he didn’t. “That’s it?”
Yoongi shrugged. “Jungkook’s really closed up about his past. That’s all I got, (y/n).” He took his phone out, checking the time. “It’s 8 AM. Don’t you have classes?”
“Don’t you have them too?” You retorted, smiling evilly at him. He rolled his eyes, shoving his phone back in his pocket.
“Hey, I’m only skipping because I have a good reason. You’re the goody two-shoes whatever kind of kid.”
“I am not a kid!” You grumbled, crossing your arms and turning your head away.
“You only prove my point more by doing that,” he laughed, raising his hand to let a waiter bring the two of you menus.
“Oh? Was my granola bar not enough?” You asked as the waiter brought two menus, opening it up and scanning the items. Yoongi groaned, ignoring your question.
“Shit, never knew a cafe had so many food selections..” he murmured quietly, his eyes darting from item to item. You smiled at his reaction, glad he was starting up his normal eating routine. Yoongi was a fairly skinny boy, but his legs were stick thin when you first met him in high school. Of course he ate healthy, but you were still genuinely worried he only ate when near you so he wouldn’t have to deal with anything. You shrugged, realizing you were over-thinking.
After a few minutes, the two of you ordered your food; you ordered a croissant and he ordered pancakes. The waiter grabbed your menus and handed the two of you cups of waters, nodding and walking away into the cafe. Yoongi sat there silently, playing with his thumbs. “You know,” He said abruptly, catching your attention. “We were really worried for you back there in the club.”
Your facial expression darkened. “Not now, Yoongi.”
He shook his head. “I’m serious. Why did you suddenly stand up like that? The two of you could have just talked it out, you know.”
“Yoongi, this isn’t the time.” You whispered, glaring at him. “I don’t want to even remember him.”
Yoongi opened his mouth to talk back, but only closed it when the waiter brought over the food. He sighed, “Fine.” He grabbed the knife and began to cut into the pancakes while you took a bite out of the croissant.
“Anyways!” He ate a piece of the pancake, looking up at you. “Did you get to meet Jimin well enough? He said he ate ice cream with you.” He chuckled at the thought. “He’s like a little kid.”
You took another bite, raising your shoulders up and down. “I guess.” You shot a curious glance at him. “You really do get..acquainted with weird people.”
He paused, staring up at you. “What do you mean?”
“Jimin seems like..rich, Jungkook is just out there..” you chuckled. “It’s weird.”
Yoongi snorted, taking a sip of water. “Are you saying I’m not supposed to have friends?”
You shook your head. “Nah, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that you seem unique with the two.”
The two of you ate while chattering about random things - college, friends, all that. You laughed at Yoongi complaining about how annoying everything was, feeling the life come back to your world.
June 20th, Saturday, 1 PM in the afternoon. Yoongi showed up at your door, knocking on it loudly. “Let me in, (y/n)!”
You opened the door with a slam, staring at him with a glare.  “What?”
Taken aback, Yoongi sighed. “Taehyung’s wedding is today.” You froze. “Come on, you can get over this.”
Your eyes wandered over to your phone, checking the date again. “Why should I? He doesn’t want to see me, I wouldn’t want to see me either.”
“Cut the bullshit, (y/n).” He grabbed your shoulders, shaking your roughly. “You were just happy yesterday. Get dressed and lets go.”
“No.” You mumbled, still dazed from being woken up early and allowing your hair to fall in front of your face.
“You’re really making me do this,” he groaned, grabbing your arm and dragging you upstairs to your room. He went inside your closet after setting you on your bed, looking for an outfit for you to wear. It almost made you laugh at how frustrated he was. “Do you not have anything good to wear?!”
“I don’t get dresses, they’re uncomfortable.” You finally said, somehow relaxing at his frustration. Yoongi glared at you, annoyed that you were satisfied at how much he tried to find a dress.
“You’re a pain in the ass.” He pulled out a light, flowery blouse and jeans. “Wear it, lets go.” He threw the clothes at you and slammed the door closed, waiting for you outside your door.
You stared down at the clothes. It had been exactly three months since the incident with Taehyung happened. Your sickness had gotten worse, and you felt weaker, less energetic. “I’m not going,” you whispered to yourself.
“Hurry the fuck up!” Yoongi complained outside the door, knocking on it once.
The numbers on your phone signaled the time as it changed. 1:03. You let out a small sigh before slipping into the clothes. As you changed into the jeans, memories flashed in your mind. It had been three months since the fight with Taehyung, and neither of you had talked to each other since then. Jungkook and you became friends, along with Jimin. You zipped yourself up, not bothering with makeup and combing your hands in your tangled hair.
Swinging the door open, Yoongi yelled in surprise. “For fuck’s sake,” he grabbed your arm. “It’s starting in thirty minutes. Lets go.”
The car ride to the wedding was silent, the two of you focused on the road ahead of you. “Why am I going again? I’m sure Taehyung hates me.”
“Don’t say that.” Yoongi tightened his grip on the steering wheel. “He got over it. Probably.” He turned the steering wheel to the left, parking the car in a small space between two large ones. Unbuckling his seat belt, he nodded at you. “Lets go.”
You kicked the floor of the car, unbuckling yourself as well and got out the car. The building was large and tall, balloons surrounding the opening. “Congratulations, Love Birds!” The banners hung above the doors. You stared at it before being dragged inside by Yoongi, shoving past other guests. “Hey! (y/n)!” A familiar voice ringed in your voice, putting a hand on your shoulder. Yoongi halted, letting out a ‘tch’ sound.
You turned around to meet Jungkook, his hair slicked back and eyes wide. “Hey! I didn’t know you’d be here!”
“I didn’t want to be here.”
He glanced at Yoongi, faltering and nodding in apology. “Oops..sorry, Yoongi! I just finally found another person I knew!”
“It’s fine, kid. I have to take (y/n) to someone, though.”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, turning his gaze towards you. “Oh..okay. Be careful.” He smiled, waving at the two of you as you walked away.
Yoongi barged into a room around a corner, clutching your arm tightly. “Ow.” You muttered, struggling to move your arm away.
“Yoongi!” A woman’s voice shouted loudly, making your cringe. You looked up, staring at the groom and bride smiling at Yoongi. Not at you, Yoongi.
“Hi.” He grumbled, letting go of your arm. Your eyes meet with the groom’s, identifying them as Taehyung’s. The rest of the guests in the room continued chattering, keeping their voices low. “Talk to him at least, kid.”
“I’m not talking to him. I’m going back to find Jungkook.” You hissed, glaring at Yoongi. “He’s the only one who seems to allow me to have freedom.”
“(y/n)!” Taehyung’s cheery voice rang in your head, causing you to freeze up. You stared at him. “Hey! Come over here, at least!” He motioned for you to come over, his smile glowing upon his skin. Yoongi pushed your forward, murmuring in your ear.
“Just do it, (y/n). It’ll be fine. I’m gonna wait outside.” He left the room, leaving you there, stuck in your spot with widened eyes. Suha smirked, walking over to you and looping her arm with yours.
“Hey, Taehyung wants you to come over, lets talk!” She giggled, dragging you towards Taehyung. You struggled, trying to get her grip off of your arm without causing a commotion. You stumbled over a shoe, leaning forward and gritting your teeth together. Suha let out a quiet laugh, pulling you back up and bringing you to Taehyung.
“I’ll let you two talk. I need to go talk to daddy.”
Suha left the room, leaving you and Taehyung together. You felt relieved other people were in the room as well, but their chatter dialed down and only a few whispers came out and drifted about. You felt your heart flutter when Taehyung took your hand, fingering his hands through your hair. “You look different. Did you loose weight?”
You stayed silent, staring down at the floor. ‘I didn’t want you to get married. I didn’t want you to leave me, why did you do it? I can’t function anymore. You’re gonna go away. You’re leaving. Why?’ you thought to yourself, not gathering the courage to say those words. He sighed, letting his hand fall from your hair, the one gripping your hand still holding on tight. “You have to eat. It’s bad for you if you don’t, and I’ll spank you if you refuse.” He pulled on your cheek, surprised when he struggled. “Did you not put makeup on?”
“Yoongi dragged me here.” You whispered, taking your hand out his grip and shoving it in your pocket. The rest of the guests shuffled out the room, shutting it softly. “I didn’t want to come.”
Taehyung let out a small laugh, adjusting his sleeves. “I should’ve expected that, I guess.”
You raised your hand to your mouth, biting down on your thumb. You gnawed on it before Taehyung forced you to stop, eyes wide. “What are you doing? You’re bleeding!” Your eyes trailed down to your hand, noticing the blood trailing down your wrist.
“Oh, shit.” You jerked your hand away, wiping the blood away from your thumb. “It’s a habit.”
Taehyung stared at you while shaking his head, turning around to face his back towards you. “You know, I really regret having that fight at the club.”
“You didn’t seem so sorry when you didn’t bother to call me.”
“I thought you’d call back, even if I didn’t have you number, you always used to do that.” You scoffed, shoving your injured hand in your pocket as well and turning away. “I don’t even know why I’m here. I’m going to go to Jungkook.”
Taehyung grabbed your arm, pulling you back. “Stay here for a while, it won’t hurt!” He pressed, smiling brightly.
“Why should I?” You grumbled, pulling your arm away. “Why would I watch you get married to a slut?”
His fists trembled as they clenched into a tight fist, a small smirk forming upon your lips. “Hurts, doesn’t it? Reality does really fucking suck.” You turned around to face the door, grabbing the door knob and leaving Taehyung in the room alone.
You stumbled into Yoongi on your way out, letting out a small “oh.” Yoongi stared down at you and dragged you up. “How did it go?” He asked quickly, glancing at the room. “You guys took a lot less time than I thought you would.”
“Yoongi, can’t we just go already?” You whined, crossing your arms. “I have nothing to do with these two.”
“Yes, yes you do.” He snapped, leaning against the wall. “You’ve been friends with him for years now, (y/n). Don’t do this to them over a small fight.”
“Small fight?!” You raised your voice, unaware of the stares you were causing the two of you to get from the others. “Yoongi, he’s about to get married to a prissy princess who just likes sex! Does no one fucking believe me?!” You wrapped your hand around his collar, staring him dead in the eye. “I’ll say it again. I have nothing to do with them.”
“So, you’ll just act like Taehyung was nothing to you?”
“Correct.”
Yoongi smirked. “Then I don’t know you either.”
You faltered, your grip loosening on his collar. “Excuse me?”
He moved your arm away. “Taehyung was the one who introduced me to you, anyways. So if you just want to discard all the shit you’ve been through with him, I’ll make sure I can’t contact you at all. In fact, I’ll just move.” You felt your stomach churn as sweat dripped down your face.
“You wouldn’t do that, Yoongi,” you said shakily, “I know you wouldn’t. Why are you doing this to me?”
Yoongi growled at you angrily, “You’re acting like a bitch at his wedding. Do you know how much he’s been yearning to find the love of his life? He’s having this great party right now, but here you are, acting up like a child!”
“I am not acting like a child!” You gasped. “You’re the one who brought me here, anyways! If I had a choice, I wouldn’t be here, you little sh-”
“You came here yourself. I never forced you.” He glared at you.
Plus, you still love Taehyung.
You fell silent and lowered your head. “I do not.”
“You do.”
“I don’t fucking love him!” You screamed, tears dripping down your face. Yoongi blinked twice, standing up correctly with wide eyes. “For fuck’s sake, Yoongi!” You cried, wiping at your eyes furiously. “I thought you would help me with this, you know. But now, here I am, acting like a child, as you said!”
“Shit, I didn’t-”
“Oh, yes you did.” You interrupted, gritting your teeth together. “Don’t put all that on me this time. You meant every word you said that came out your mouth.”
“(y/n), calm down, people are staring..”
You slammed your fist on the wall. “Is that all you care about, people staring?! Not helping your friend crying, who’s suffering, everything?!”
Yoongi raised his hand, the sound of his hand and your cheek colliding echoing throughout the hallway. Everyone froze in surprise, some covering their mouths and some murmuring to their friends. Your head stayed in the position where Yoongi slapped you, lip trembling. The stinging sensation spread throughout your body, sending shivers down your back. You put your hand to your cheek, not bothering to wipe your eyes. “I think I’m gonna go now.” You muttered, turning away.
“Wait, I’m sorry, I don’t know what got into me-” You raised your hand to stop him, shaking your head.
“No, really, I should have gotten hit. You can run me over with your car too, you know. Would take me out of my misery faster.”
“(y/n), you’re thinking about that way too fast!” Yoongi rushed to your side, hesitant to touch your shoulder. You stumbled, letting out a loud cough into your hand. Both you and Yoongi stared at the flowers falling out your mouth, letting them flutter onto the ground. The guests stared in horror, as well as awe, at the flowers coming out your mouth.
“Shit!” Yoongi glared at the others, taking off his jacket and wrapping it around you. “We’ll deal with this later. Get in the restroom.” He ushered you to the bathroom, closing the door after you entered. You threw his jacket off, quick to go to the toilet and throw up.
“S-Shi-” God, your condition was really getting worse. You felt as if you were suffocating, that damned disease. If only it didn’t exist, if only you hadn’t loved Taehyung - you’d be free. Free, free like all the other people. You gripped the handle of the drawer in the sink next to you, coughing loudly and painfully while trying to keep your hand on the handle. Your palms became sweaty, sweat ran down your face, and your body lost it’s energy.
The flowers continued to flow down and down, the horrendous sound paired along with your choked sobs. You smiled at yourself shakily, wondering how embarrassing it was to be with you. Ruining a wedding, friendship, what else was there for you to ruin?
You calmed down after a steady hour, flushing the flowers down and washing both your hands and face. Your knees knocked together while you bent down to pick up Yoongi’s jacket, opening the door. He grabbed your shoulders as you fell down, all energy that was once in your body now gone. “I guess I really shouldn’t have brought you here..Jungkook, stop, she’s not feeling well..no, I swear to god, don’t touch..it’s nothing bad…” The voices floated around your head, drifting in and out of consciousness, only to be jerked up again when a blast of pain shot through your head once in a while.
“(y/n)? Can you hear me?” Jungkook’s voice whispered near your ear. You felt his hand comb through your hair, reassuring you that you were fine. “The ceremony already started. No one’s here. It’s okay if you leave, we’ll come with you. Sleep for now, okay?” Hands gripped around your arms, helping you out the door. “Yoongi, hurry up, I think people are starting to notice..”
“Shush, I’m trying.” Yoongi hissed, opening up the car to the back seat and carefully placing you on the seats. “Get in, Jungkook.”
“What? But then who’ll tell them that-”
“No one needs to know, Jungkook. That’ll make things worse.” He murmured, getting in the driver’s seat and revving up the engine. Jungkook quickly jumped into the passenger’s seat, closing the door shut. You struggled to keep your eyes open, your surroundings slowly becoming pitch black.
“(y/n)!!”
“Shut up, that’ll wake her up!”
“But that’s what we want her to do, don’t we?”
“You little-”
“HER FINGER MOVED.”
“Shhh!”
You open your eyes slowly, blinking twice to refocus your vision. You stared at the people around you, squinting your eyes to try to make out who they were. “..Jin?”
Jin looked up at you from his clipboard, letting out a sigh of relief. “Oh, thank god you woke up.” He pointed at Jungkook and Jimin, rolling his eyes. “The two thought you were going to die.”
“No! It’s called worrying for a friend, Jin!” Jimin whined, shooting you an awkward smile.
You moved your hand around on the unfamiliar material underneath your body, sitting up slowly. Looking around, you sucked in your breath. “Am I in a hospital?”
“Since you see me, duh.” Jin scribbled onto the paper on his clipboard, glancing at the boys. “Never knew you had such weird friends.”
“Excus-”
“Shush.”
You smiled. “Can someone explain why I’m here, though?”
Yoongi leaned against the wall, raising his eyebrow. “You fainted when we were driving you to your house.” He rubbed his temple, furrowing his eyebrows. “I still think I’m deaf from Jungkook crying.”
“I really thought you died, (y/n)!” Jungkook whimpered, placing his hand on your shoulder.
“Anyways-”
You cleared your throat loudly, glaring at everyone around you. “So, you brought me here because I fainted? That’s it?”
Jin blinked, adjusting his glasses. “Uh..yeah.”
You groaned, stretching your arms. “I didn’t need to be escorted to the hospital, I’m fine.”
“No, you’re not.” Yoongi pushed you back down onto the bed and stared at Jimin and Jungkook. “Can you guys wait outside for a sec? We need to talk.”
Jimin glanced at you with a worried expression, grabbing Jungkook’s arm and nodding at Yoongi. “Don’t die!” Jin started to turn around to leave as well before Yoongi grabbed his arm.
“You stay here.”
Jin removed his arm from Yoongi’s grip, setting his clipboard down. “Okay, what do we need now?”
“Get (y/n) the surgery.”
Your eyes widened as you sat up, staring at Yoongi. “Are you crazy?! Why are you deciding this for me?!”
Yoongi stared down at you, running his hand through his messy hair. “It’s for the best. You’ll die soon if you don’t.”
“That isn’t for you to decide, Yoongi!” You argued, grabbing his arm desperately.
Jin sighed, pushing up the rim of his glasses. “He’s right, (y/n). The disease is serious.” He pushed his hair back, staring at you. “The surgery is pretty much the only option you have left.”
You bit down on your lip, tossing the bed sheets aside and stood up. Your knees failed on you, trembling and slamming down onto the ground. Yoongi bent down to help you up, but you shook your head at him.  “No,” you whispered. “I’m not gonna get that damned surgery. If I wanna die, I will. I’ll do it without hesitation.” You shot your head up at the two boys, struggling to get up.
“Are you seriously going to do this?” Yoongi said harshly, his hands clenching into tight fists. “I’m doing the best I can to help you yet all you do is say ‘no, I won’t.’ This is all about Taehyung.” He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Why can’t you realize how stubborn you’re being with us? Taehyung got over it, you should too.”
“He’s not over it. He never will get over it.” You snapped, forcing yourself to get up. “He’s not cured yet.”
Yoongi shot his hands up in the air, eyes going wild. “Are you listening to yourself right now?! You’re saying Taehyung won’t be cured, you’re worried about him, worry about yourself god damn it!” He raised his fist as it slammed into the wall, startling both you and Jin.
“Yoongi..” You murmured quietly.
“Leave me alone.” He whispered as tiny droplets of blood dripped down his fist.
“You have to-”
“Get the fuck out!” Yoongi yelled, turning to face you with his fiery eyes. You stared at him with horror, backing up and quickly walking out the room, shutting the door closed behind you. You flinched at Jin’s desperate attempts to calm Yoongi down, looking up at Jimin creeping behind the corner.
“Is Yoongi okay?” He asked softly, his slender fingers wrapped around the edge. “He’s yelling pretty loudly..”
“He’s fine.” You sighed, shaking your head again. “Stay here. I’m going home.”
The two boys stared at you with confused expressions before Jungkook gabbed your arm. “Wait, aren’t you supposed to stay inside?”
“I’m fine. All I did was faint.”
He looked at you with sincere worry. “Yeah, but..you looked really pale when you got into the car. You couldn’t even talk, or even walk!”
Jimin stared at you with surprise written all over his face, obviously confused. You shook Jungkook’s hand off your arm, shooting a glare at him. “I said I’m fine and I’m going home.” His hand grabbed your arm again, and you opened your mouth to tell him off again - but there he was, tears falling down his cheeks. His lips trembled, his shoulders bounced up and down.
“A-Are you really okay?” He whimpered again, hiccuping between his words.
“Hey, hey..why are you crying? You haven’t done anything,” you talked quickly, unsure what to do in this situation. Jimin rushed over to Jungkook’s side, eyes wide and hand wiping his tears away.
His hand fell from your arm as his weight fell into Jimin’s arms, sobbing quietly into his shoulder. You watched in surprise, backing up once again. Jimin stared at you with confusion, his hand combing through Jungkook’s hair. You pushed yourself out the doors, walking away quickly.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” You cursed at yourself, keeping your head low. Why was everyone having such a big reaction? This was your problem. This was your life. Why were people being hurt instead of you? Yoongi was becoming frustrated, people are crying because of you. You found your way back home quickly, opening the door to your house and slamming it closed.
You laid there in front of the door for hours, just thinking. Thinking how you’d escape. How’d you escape from this hell you were forced to live in - you could move. You could just avoid everyone. You could simply just kill yourself.
You took a moment to think again. What the fuck were you thinking? Killing yourself? Both sides of your mind fought against each other - die, move, die, move, die, move. But then one small idea popped in your mind.
Forgive.
You could just forgive Taehyung. It would be that simply, right? This would all be over. All this would end. Relief washed over you until one small problem broke in.
That damned disease.
It would and will not go away. It will stay there for the rest of your life unless you finally get the surgery. You will not get that surgery. You will not, you will not, you will not; you will not.
It was until then the tears came. Your hand stayed on your chest, your left arm extended out on the left of you. The tears rolled down your cheeks, down your chin, and onto the ground. It made you chuckle - could the amount of tears you cried make an ocean where you could just sail away?
9 PM. You had gotten up and slept on the couch to try to escape your burdens. Loud knocks banged on the door, awakening you. You slowly got up from the couch, opening the door without a care.
Taehyung stood there, still in his tuxedo. His hair was slicked back and his smile was big.
“(y/n),” he said, surprised you opened the door. You took a step back, quick to force the door closed. Taehyung blocked the door from fully closing, pushing his body weight onto the door.
“Get out,” you cried, struggling to close the door shut. “Stop coming here!”
Taehyung’s strength was far more superior than yours, easily forcing the door open. You stumbled back, your body still not fully energized to it’s maximum. You wiped your tears away angrily, stepping back once again. “(y/n),” Taehyung repeated, his voice now softer. “I heard what happened.”
You froze, your hand stopping mid-way. “Yoongi told me you fainted.” He stared down at the ground. “Why didn’t you tell me you were sick?”
“I’m not sick.” You whispered.
“Why did you faint then?”
“It’s nothing, alright?! Get out!” You screamed at him, pushing him away. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, slapping your hands away.
“What’s wrong with you these past days?” He asked, keeping his posture.
“You married a girl. You’re leaving me. You’re making me suffer even more.” You trembled, staring up at him with teary eyes. “You don’t realize how much I’m hurting because of the decisions you’re making.” You turned on your heel and raced upstairs. “That’s why I’ll be taking my leave.”
Taehyung ran up behind you, watching you in terror as you rummaged through your closet. pulling out a small suitcase. “You’re kidding,” he gasped, trying to stop you. “Are you serious?! What are you doing? Why are you packing up?!”
You grabbed as many items as you could, zipping up your suit case. “I can’t stay here, Taehyung.” You extended your arm to the window, tightening your grip on the suitcase handle. “Do you know how much trouble I’ve caused?! And to top it all off, don’t even get me started with you.” Taehyung bit down on his lip as you shoved past him, grabbing your phone to call a taxi.
Taehyung pleaded with you, trying to bring you back into the house. You ignored him as tears dripped down onto the ground, opening the door and stepping outside. The taxi arrived shortly, beeping loudly.
You opened the backseat door, struggling to get inside from aehyung pulling you back. “Don’t go!” He cried, clinging onto your arm. “Why are you leaving us all?! Stay!”
You took one look at his ring on his ring finger, grabbing his hand and taking it off. “I fucking love you.” You breathed. “I have the Hanahaki Disease and I’ll die.” You threw the ring to the ground, lowering yourself down into the backseat and slamming the door shut. You locked the door and told the driver to take you to the airport. Taehyung banged on the window, his screams muffled from the barrier. You hugged your knees as the taxi drove off, Taehyung’s yells become weaker and weaker until they no longer were able to be heard.
a/n: honestly i was going to make more plot in between this situation but i think i have a steady idea of how the story will go for now on
PLL PREDICTIONS FOR THE UPCOMING EPISODES:
  1. Uber A and Amoji from season 6B are possibly two different people (read our theory here)
  2. Wren Kingston has probably been floating around Rosewood for some time now. We believe he is connected to Charlotte DiLaurentis/Cece Drake, or had something to do with her murder.
  3. A.D is most likely the twin of a main character. Recently, Tyler Blackburn stated in an interview “You’ve never met them… You kind of have. When you see it, you’ll understand what I’m saying.” This fits perfectly with the theory of someone’s twin being A.D.
  4. Lucas is strongly involved in the final “A” game. He has the technology skills, the money, Hanna is staying in his apartment, and he has the skills to create that creepy board game.
  5. We WILL get answers. Not all the answers, but probably answers to things such as Sara Harvey and her motivation, who killed Jessica, etc. Things like who the Beach Hottie in Cape May was will not explicitly be talked about.
  6. A.D may have been lurking around in the shadows for years. They could have been around since season 1, but we don’t think they started playing the game until Charlotte’s death.
  7. The girls involvement in Rollins death will be revealed somehow through the board game, possibly by refusing to continue/refusing instruction.
  8. Charlotte’s father is probably irrelevant. As much as we’d like to hope that there is some sort of relevance, for all we know it could have been Dr. Cochran who knocked up Mary Drake.
  9. We know there will be two characters kicking the bucket this season, as confirmed by M.K in an article by the US Magazine. It’s possible Yvonne’s injuries from the accident may cause her death, but we’re hoping these deaths involve two main characters! Our predictions on the deaths are Mary Drake/Mona Vanderwaal and Jenna Marshall!
  10. Wren Kingston and Archer Dunhill are somehow connected. There are no coincidences in Rosewood!
  11. Ezria and Haleb will both get married! Ali and Emily will end up together, taking care of the baby. Toby and Spencer will not end up together, but will end up playing a crucial part in each others lives.
  12. The “he’s coming for you” scene takes place in 7x19. We believe the “he” is most likely not A.D/Uber A, but the girls mistakenly believe that “he” is the one after them. This person will probably be Wren Kingston.
  13. Melissa, Peter and Veronica all knew that Spencer was a Drake. Melissa did say that she was protecting Spencer before it all started.
  14. Charlotte’s killer had accidentally mistaken her for Alison. This makes it full circle and takes it back to the night of Alison’s disappearance (Charlotte thought Ali was Bethany, Melissa and Mona both thought Bethany was Alison)
  15. We probably won’t find out why Ali, Jason, Kenneth or even Jessica never question Charlotte’s choice of Cece “Drake”, considering Jessica’s maiden name was Drake. It’s a fairly uncommon surname, it’s not like Smith or something.
That’s all we have for now. We’re excited to check back once PLL ends to see what we got wrong and what we totally got right!
Y’know, Mon-El could’ve been just a guy from a planet related to Krypton who’s goofy and a bit lazy but ultimately good-hearted and is happy to work as Supergirl’s sidekick, but no. He’s a slaver, a misogynist, a selfish, possessive and toxic asshole whose only reason for becoming and being a hero is (AS ADMITTED BY HIMSELF) to be able to get into Kara’s pants. He’s finally given the chance to right wrongs in his world and he’d rather stay tucked away safely on Earth than go back to Daxam and use his position and influence for creating a better world (as M’gann is doing). He’s not even reaching the bare minimum of human decency and the writers are still trying to frame this like he’s a hero and the relationship he’s built on lies and continues to strain with his disgusting behaviour is somehow romantic.
The Music
(I hope this fits in with the lore… I mainly just wanted an excuse to make an EU playlist ;_;)
Kleio knew it was easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
Even when it came to the strange inhabitants of her school.
She had suffered the pipes and fiddles playing outside her dorm at odd hours. She had averted her gaze from the circle of students standing on the lawn, closing their eyes and weaving harmonies that Kleio could actually see spinning in iridescent banners above their heads.
She didn’t mind the music, really. It was soothing, reminding her of forests and campfires and earthy dwellings built far underground. Whenever she closed her eyes during a study session and allowed herself to float away on the same breeze carrying those distant notes toward her, she could almost feel her soul dancing in the sky, climbing higher and higher towards the round, yellow moon.
But it was during one of these moments where she had lost track of her surroundings completely that she found herself on the floor of her bedroom, legs entangled with her computer charging cord and her forehead feeling as if it had collided with something: the floor.
Snapping back to reality as the sound of laughter wafted in through the open window, she knew that something had to be done. The music wasn’t for her entertainment, no. They had just made that abundantly clear.
So Kleio hatched a plan, and hoped that she would not be punished too severely for it.
That little supply closet under the stairs leading to the second floor of the cafeteria had not been used in a long time. Kleio had been keeping an eye on it, and sure enough, she’d never seen anyone setting foot in or outside of it. Surely it would not be missed.
The station was simple to set up: being an AV major had its perks. Soon enough, Kleio’s broadcasting dome encompassed the entire cafeteria and three buildings in the nearby vicinity.
She played the grungiest, dirtiest techno she could find. Loud bass and hypnotic beats that would drown out any sweet harps.
This was her way of getting back. Or at least, it seemed like a safe way to vent her frustrations. It wasn’t as if anybody would really care about a tiny bubble of sound with only a 100 foot radius. She hadn’t intended for the station to become popular.
But of course, something entirely different happened.
As she sat in her room doing homework, she heard it.
Loud beats coming down the hall.
This wasn’t unusual, but the fact that the song had been the same as one she’d played earlier that evening on her illicit station raised her nervousness, just a bit.
She wasn’t at the station now. There was no way it was playing her station. They were too far away to pick up anything, anyway.
But then songs began to play in a certain order that made her hair stand on end.
It was playing her songs in the exact order she’d played them. As if she was there, at the cafeteria, repeating the songs from earlier that day.
And, a solid half mile away.
Kleio dashed back to the cafeteria. She had a portable radio in her backpack, and as she ran, she listened to the station that was supposed to be dead quiet pump out electronic notes through the cheap speakers.
The lock that she had installed on the door was still in place. It was iron, too, she had made sure of that.
They hadn’t done anything. How was she supposed to explain this?
There was one fact that Kleio hadn’t yet caught on to during her time at EU: If magic can mess with you, magic will mess with you.
A twisted kind of Murphy’s law had taken her little station by force and now, Kleio would hear her music being played over PA systems of empty classrooms as she passed by. She could hear it echoing dimly across the lawn, where the once placid rings of supernatural singers had taken to low, angry buzzing which only became louder as Kleio drew near.
The breezy pipes that used to flit outside her window were now maelstroms of dissonance and fury.
Slamming the textbook she’d been trying and failing to read shut, Kleio rubbed her eyes and sighed. She made the long trek to the cafeteria and pressed the master switch.
The sounds coming from her radio did not stop.
She pulled every plug out of every socket. She pounded her fists on the equipment. Nothing happened.
Kleio sighed, and pulled out her phone, quickly making some changes. She made a playlist, carefully picking out the tracks, and began broadcasting with the new songs.
The angry buzzing and discordant pipes eventually stopped. Kleio’s new mix seemed to appease all of her listeners, human and Gentry alike. She couldn’t even hear the hypnotic instruments outside her dorm anymore: the players had lost interest in their plaything, so it seemed.
Kleio may have lost control of her creation, but at least now she wouldn’t have to worry about vanishing mysteriously or falling prey to enchanted pipes. And now she was something of a minor celebrity in the school paper, which had documented the mysterious shift in tone of the anonymous DJ and posited several theories as to whom the master genius behind the station might be.
But Kleio wanted nothing more to do with the station, and left the lock in its place.
That didn’t stop music from coming out of the sealed room, however. Kleio found that the music would change, from melodic violins and spaced-out beats to heavy drums and droning horns without warning. In fact, Kleio found the station mirroring her own moods, more often than not.
The PA system would crackle whenever she felt nervous during a test, and low chanting would rumble through the classroom.
Whenever she found herself at a dance (human-organized, she’d been careful to make sure,) the music would follow her movements, not the other way around.
It was terrifying, and somehow thrilling, to have somehow gained this power.
But life still continued as usual, and faintly during particularly brightly moonlit nights, the pipes would return, as alluring and sweet as ever.
A/N: Really liked this request. Kinda made it into my own though. (Not sure to write more for this, I might? Depends on the feedback I guess.)
Jason felt uneasy when he took one of the seats in the circle. They had put fluffy red pillows on the seats, some softness to make up for their fucked up experiences. Wonderful how naïve people could be… as if that’d help. He took a look at the other people, they seemed about as happy to be there as him. Probably persuaded or blackmailed into seeking help as well. He hadn’t even needed such desperate measures: anything to stop Dick’s constant nagging.
“ You have to give yourself the chance to heal.” (He felt like he healed up well enough, ya know, for a dead guy his skin looked fantastic.), “ You will be able to meet people who share your experience .” (Zombie friends. Exactly what he needed.)  And last but not least: Damian’s addition that he didn’t even need hubris to bring him down just a crowbar. Eventually he grew tired of it and decided to go. He was barely there in time, but he was there. After him, a woman barged in, a lot less nonchalant than he had. Backpack in hand, and  saying ‘sorry’ to the person who seemed to be the guiding speaker/psychologist. The woman had a certain kind of guilt in her eyes as she was saying it, too. The psychologist immediately said it was no problem with a warm smile, as the other latecomer took the free seat across his.
You were still out of breath. Traffic was terrible as is but it got so much worse as you were trying to keep a busy schedule to forget about all the other shit that went wrong. You weren’t sure if it was a good idea, whether it would even remotely help you to actually throw it all out on the table. But… you could use talking to someone about this who wouldn’t look at you with pity while they were uncomfortably shifting in their chair. Everyone here had their fair share of emotional scars to get them to this place. You scanned the room while a woman started to talk.
“ Each of you is here because you are battling the aftermath of dark period in your lives. Someone has abused you, and you are here with people who have experienced abuse as well. Speaking is part of the healing process. Knowing you are not to blame for what happened to you is the aim. I will give each of you the chance to talk about what happened. You choose how much you feel comfortable sharing. Please be respectful towards one another and allow the others to talk, and tell their story, they…” the rest of the explanation was lost on you entirely. You felt eyes on you, and noticed the man across the room. Jet black hair with a white streak, icy blue eyes and quite frankly possibly the most handsome man you had seen in a very long time. But from all places to develop a crush on a total stranger, this was probably not the best one.
You focused on your surroundings again when people were starting to share their names. Only one name stuck. His. “ Hi, I’m Jason. I’ve been told I may be suffering from PTSD after being kidnapped and tortured.” After him another person spoke and also shared their name and in one sentence why they chose to be here. The man smiled at you and you weren’t sure how to respond with that so you looked anywhere but at him.
“ My name is y/n. I was ..” You swallowed, not entirely having such an easy time to say what happened with all those eyes on you. You naturally started to look at him again. He gave you an encouraging small nod and  somehow you managed to continue. “ I was physically and emotionally abused by my ex.” Something seemed to flare up in his eyes at those words. Not the usual pity. Not the usual shifting eyes trying to find the nearest exit. Anger. Not directed at you but at someone who wasn’t there. You wondered if it was the man who kidnapped him or your ex. As he only got that look in his eyes after your story you could only guess the second… but why would he get that angry over that? He didn’t even know you… you shook the thought and listened to the other stories. Some people had come here before, but they seemed there to show the beginners that recovery was possible. After everyone had been spoken to, she asked who wanted to share their story with the group. Everyone seemed less than interested to go first.
“ ‘C mon, nobody will judge you here, we’re all here to listen and to talk.” Her glance landed on you. “Could you perhaps…?” Your felt your heartbeat in your throat and tried to swallow. This was too soon. All those eyes on you… when you opened your mouth the handsome stranger, Jason, spoke up instead.
“ Sure, I’ll go first.” Everyone in the room knew damn well she had been talking to you. But you were grateful he took her cue instead so you didn’t have to. He was still speaking to you rather than to the group.
“I was kidnapped as a teenager. A typical Gotham psycho got to me and tortured me. They… got to me in time, obviously, I’m still alive.” He seemed to disbelieve those words and said them mockingly. “.. but I’ve been beaten with a crowbar and he played psychological tricks on me, I don’t want to get into detail. He tortured me in most ways I could imagine and then some, except for sexually that is. It pisses me off that he’s still alive. As long as he lives he’s a danger to people. They didn’t put enough effort into stopping him. In the meanwhile…  I have to deal with the fallout. The flashbacks, the nightmares. So essentially I got fucked over by the people I trusted, because they did not protect me as they promised me they would, and then there’s the fact I was beaten to a pulp. So yeah, that’s my sob story. Well, half of it. There’s also my deadbeat dad and my the fact that my mother didn’t make it beyond my teenage years but that’s a story for another day kids.“ His voice was laced with a mocking, devil may care attitude, but you could tell it was the truth. You were the one staring now, your gaze locked on his. He really had been through hell and back. The woman nodded and thanked him for his open-heartedness and willingness to speak first. After him, the others were more willing to also speak up. He mouthed ‘You’re welcome’ to you as you gave him a grateful small smile.
You felt lucky that they ran out of time before it was your turn. Each person who did not get the chance to speak would get their chance the next session. With that promise, you considered not attending that next time anymore. You put your own jacket back on, as well as your backpack and headed towards the door. As soon as you stepped outside you felt something was off. Something or someone was watching you. Jason, you did remember his name, walked out of the door and approached you and acted casual while zipping up his jacket. “ Don’t panic but I’ve got the feeling someone is watching you.”
“  So I’m not going mad?”
“  No guarantees there. We might be going mad together. I know you don’t know me but will you let me walk you home? ” You looked him in the eyes. You really wanted to say yes.
“ No, sorry. It’s not you it’s just…”
“ I get it. Don’t worry about it. Just…” He handed you what looked like a combat knife. “ be careful.”
” May I ask why you’re carrying out spare combat knives to hand out?”
” Do you want to know?” You swallowed.
” Next session maybe.”
” Let’s make sure you get there safely first. Watch your back. Something’s out there, I can feel it.”
You walked on and heard something again. Something creeping up on you as sudden but as clinging as a shadow.  You clutched the combat knife as you walked to your car. Someone grabbed you from the back and knocked the knife out of your hands.  “You think you could get away from him that easily sweetheart?” There was a hand on your mouth, muffling noise while you struggled to get away from the man’s grip. You were considering your options, trying to remember how to twist your arm when someone interfered.
“ I think she fucking can.” The man who grabbed you was looking into the barrel of a gun. A red hooded man stood there.
“ Get out of here. She’s under my protection now. Come after her again and I will find you. “  A flash of recognition went over the guy’s face as he ran for it. You thought you heard someone curse and a shiver went over your spine. He lowered his gun, picked up the combat knife and walked over to you. He handed the knife back to you with the hilt pointed at you while you rubbed your wrist and leaned against the car door, shaken up. You instinctively clung to him, as a means to stabilize you from the shock and get you up straight more than anything else.
“ Jason?” Anyone else didn’t make sense. You weren’t sure if he’d even speak up.
“ Good guess.”
“ I changed my mind. ” He nodded and walked behind you towards your car.
 “ It’s him. “ You hissed in a quiet tone.
“ Figured as much. Want me to get into the car or can you handle it from here? Does he know where you live?”
“ Yeah, haven’t found a new place yet.” He nodded.
” Want me to join you there? Keep you safe? If you trust me that is. “
” Yeah. I do. “ He got into the car, looked around and took off the helmet once he was inside of the vehicle.
“ What about the motorcycle?”
“ I’ll pick it up after we got you home safely.”
The car ride was considerably silent. You weren’t sure what to ask him or tell him. He leaned with his elbow on the armrest of the car door.
“ He seemed to recognize you.”
“ He probably did. I’m not your average guy. But I don’t hurt people unless it’s to save others.”
You opted to just take his word for it. There was something strangely soothing about having him around. You had this feeling that you could trust him, which you in all honestly hadn’t ever had before. But you weren’t sure whether to trust your instincts anymore.
“How did you stop the nightmares?”
“ I didn’t.”
You swallowed. “ I get it you know. “ He looked up, slightly frowning, unsure what you meant. “I get that you want to kill him. That’s what you meant isn’t it? But it wouldn’t fix the broken pieces. “ You stared at the road ahead, lights flashing by. You continued. “You know what they told me? That hating him wouldn’t heal me, loving another might and it would break him. Because it would show him he didn’t own me anymore.”
“ What do you think about that?” You shook your head at his question.
“ I think I couldn’t if I tried. Not that easy to trust anymore.”
“ You can. It’s fear that’s holding you back. It’s what he wants.”
“ You think he’s gone? That he will stay away now?” He shook his head.
“ You could stay with me instead. Until you find a new place. No expectations, I won’t try anything with you. Could teach you how not to get disarmed so easily.” He sighed. “ I can protect you there, if you think you need protection.”
“ So what are you? A cop?”
“ Not quite. But I don’t want you to get hurt and after what happened tonight…”
“ I might take you up on that offer.”
“ Okay, then turn right here. “
You could use a protector, or at least someone who understood who didn’t look at you as a work in progress when you were putting the pieces back together.
“ But there are some things you gotta know about me before you get into my apartment…”
Opposites Attract
One of the best things about your relationship with Seokmin was your seemingly endless amount of differences. Seokmin was loud and funny, you were quiet and not exactly a laugh riot. Seokmin was outgoing and could converse with a brick wall if he needed to, you were introverted and could barely hold a conversation with someone you knew. Seokmin was very expressive about his feelings, you were more reserved.
The saying ‘opposites attract’ couldn’t have created a better example than the two of you.
Somehow, despite your differences, the two of you worked well together. You made one another happy and you kept one another grounded. You provided that much needed balance for each other and you both continually thanked the universe that you were somehow brought together.
