some people need a life

When your country’s at war, but you gotta find your sweetheart.

First things first. (*´▽`*)

Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships. Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention.

Hey to all those people telling people “ it’s not so bad, just power through the cramps” when they're on their period because it’s not an excuse to miss school/work etc.!

I had bad cramps today, but I tried to “power through it” and went to class anyways, even though my grandmother had to drive me because I couldn’t walk to the bus.

I tried to “power through it” when I started to feel like I was going to throw up in the middle of my lecture, leaving to take a walk outside in the cold to try and clear my head, even though walking made my right side feel as though it was being ripped in two.

I tried to “power through it” when I started getting cold sweat all over my body, taking off my sweater and then putting it back on two seconds later because my body couldn’t decide if it was hot or cold.

I tried to “power through it” when spots started to appear in my vision, and just kept walking towards the exit.

I tried to “power through it” when I started to dry heave, and started walking faster.

I tried to “power through it” when my ears started ringing and the spots took over my vision and I was so so hot but shivering and my side felt on fire and twisted into knots and stabbed all at once.

I tried to power through it to the point where I collapsed in the middle of my college hallway. A stranger brought me to Outreach Services, where I lay on the floor, vomiting, for an hour until somebody could pick me up and take me home.

The school paramedics told me that I had passed out because I put too much stress on my already taxed body. My body was taxed because of hormonal fluctuations and blood loss aka my period.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. In the past when I’ve had cramps like this, I’ve stayed in bed and eaten strawberries and watched MASH all day.

So don’t you DARE tell me that you should “power through the cramps and do it anyways”. Powering through made me pass out. Powering through made me have to be wheeled out of the school in a wheelchair because I couldn’t keep my balance to walk. Powering through made my grandmother with osteoporosis and a tendency to panic have to come pick me up from school and help me up the stairs and almost break her hip when I started to collapse backwards on the front steps. Powering through made my 13 year old brother have to supervise me while I took a bath because I was afraid I would pass out and drown (he was super sweet about it actually; we closed the curtain and he read me Voyage of the Dawn Treader). Powering through made my mother who works to support our family pretty much on her own have to take time off work to come home and make sure I was okay.

In conclusion; If someone feels crappy because of their period cramps, leave them alone. Don’t make them do things anyways, because you might make it worse. And definitely don’t make them feel bad for not wanting to do things because of cramps; that’s the reason I even got out of bed this morning. Be nice to people on their period. Possibly buy them chocolate or painkillers. Nut don’t make them do things when they have cramps, and definitely don’t tell them “it’s nothing, power through” because cramps? Cramps can be one of the worst things you could possibly imagine.

Seriously. Fuck you all.

This is why Donald Trump’s rhetoric was acceptable enough to justify voting for him to some 65 million people. These are people that need hope for a better life and more opportunities, because white privilege doesn’t feel very real (it is) when 9 out of 10 people you interact with on a daily basis are white and none of you can afford to pay your bills, none of you can get adequate healthcare for your children, and none of you can send your children to college.

Sometimes I read Snowbaz fics and they are just so American
I don’t think people realise how different the UK is to the USA
I mean they live in South East England, a more accurate fanfiction would be:

-going for a cheeky Nandos

-trip to Margate (shitty beach, closest to London)(EVERYONE has been to Margate)

-or South End (Nearest beach on the northern side/near Essex)

-Baz having to deal with Transport for London’s tubes and buses and Oyster cards

-Borris Bikes!

-Disneyland Paris (euro star gets you there easy! 2 trains from London)

-Crying about University (not college!)(Baz goes to one of the best Universities in the UK)( are people going to ignore that?)

- Hipster tea house AU (which sell scones obviously)

- The West End! More theatre AUs

-Chessington World of Adventures (there best ride is called Vampire just saying)

-NORMAL AUs! They would go to Secondary school from the age of 11-16 (year 7 to 11)(exams from year 10-11 are called GCSEs)
And16-18 would be Sixthform where they would study four subjects to get them into uni (exams are called A-Levels)(This is what I do)(Message me if you need help there)

(Does anyone else in the fandom live in London? I feel lonely…)Add more to the list of just British AUs!

cant forget my best son

anonymous asked:

why do you even like danneel, she doesnt do anything

Oh idk, she’s just one of the most amazing woman on the planet! All she is most known for is for being Jensen ackles wife and that pisses me off, she is much more than that.

Danneel gets far too much hate and for what?? For loving a man, for showing off her perfect body that people would die for?? For giving birth to three amazing children?? Some people need to get a life.

Danneel cares, she cares for the people she loves, she cares for charities, she raises money for people who need it, she supports equal rights and LGBT rights.

Danneel is so talented, yes she hasn’t been in a lot of things and some of her movies and tv shows have been awful but her acting is fantastic. A lot of actors go through that.

Danneel stepped back from her career to start a family with the man she loves, she’s a mother of three and doesn’t have an awful lot of time to work on other things unlike her husband.

Danneel is a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and JUST a good human being which is hard to find. She also doesn’t give a fuck about what people think and I fucking love that.

Good day!

In a world where we are left to renegotiate our traumas again and again, we have to find empathetic, patient witnesses. My grandmother used to say : Some people in your life need to be mirrors and show you who you are from time to time. Some people in your life need to be blankets and embrace everything you are from time to time. Keep your mirrors clean and bright. Keep your blankets soft and close.

Headcanon Lin is ultra left-handed. Myself and most left-handed people I know, for instance, can use right-handed scissors and do some things well right-handed (like I typically use my right hand to work with knives), but Lin—horribly useless and requires left-handed everything (or frustratingly using her bending on metal right-handed scissors)
