In defense of Filbrick Pines

Oh yeah. That’s right. You heard me correctly.

I have seen a rise lately in the WORST fandom theory ever: that Filbrick physically abused Stanley.

I want everyone to stop and think about this for a second: Why the hell would Fil give his son boxing lessons so he could learn how to fight bullies if he a) didn’t give a shit about his son and b) was physically abusive himself? Where is the logic in this??

I know everyone hates him because he threw Stan out, but everyone’s missing some key elements that don’t make him out to be the vile, loathsome villian everyone thinks he is.

The way Stan talks about his father is a big clue. We definitely get the impression that he was pretty harsh and stern, and we know Stan says he’s not easily impressed, but Stan doesn’t come across as bitter about it. We see the book about dad issues in NWHS, and it seems very apparent that Stan has worked through a lot of the problems he had with his dad, or he at least tried to. He doesn’t talk about Filbrick with anger or resentment, and he even says Filbrick did him a favor by making him taking boxing lessons. He’s grateful for it.

I’m not saying Filbrick was a great dad; I’m not even saying he was a GOOD dad, I’m just tired of the fandom taking their dislike of him so far as to completely vilify him and turn him into an abusive monster. We know next to nothing about his character, and what we DO know has absolutely zero evidence of this. Plus, it just don’t make any logical sense.

“Sammy”, Dean whined as Sam slowly inserted a finger inside Dean’s ass. “We can’t… Dad is… Dad might come in…”

Sam chuckled, a dark and threatening sound that just made Dean feel even more aroused.

“Just like the old days”, he whispered to his big brother, their lips almost touching with every word. “Afraid that daddy might know what we do.”

Dean let out a small moan, reaching up to kiss his little brother. The adrenaline of John maybe walking in on them rushed through his body, made his dick even get harder.

“Mhm”, Sam said. “That’s what I thought. You just love the thought of dad knowing about us. Get so fuckin’ horny whenever you think about it.”

Dean moaned again as Sam entered another finger into his tight hole.

“Imagine his reaction”, Sam whispered, “seeing his oldest with two fingers up his ass, moaning like a back-alley whore.”

“Oh God”, Dean whispered and hung on to Sam as if for dear life.

“’Cause that’s what you are, Dean”, the younger Winchester growled. “A whore for your little brothers fingers and cock.”

“Oh God, yes”, Dean whimpered as he came, just from two fingers. Right before Sam could comment on that, a knock from outside the motel door is heard.

“You boys ready?” the familiar voice of John said. Dean panted, lips parted and eyes wide open, staring at Sammy.

“We’ll be out in a sec”, Sam replied to his father, smirking at his older brother.

Just as he pushed his way past the still stunned Dean, he whispered “I think you owe me one, brother.”

Dean could only look after his little brother.

Just like old times, he thought, before he followed Sam outside to their father.

“Bad Wolf” - Digital Oil Painting

This was inspired by the wonderful @ktrosesworld, who read my WIP (that I WILL someday finish) “Bad Wolf” and left a comment on EVERY chapter! As I responded to her comments, I got to rereading the story myself, and it inspired this painting. I wanted it to look like it could be the cover of the story.
