Justin Quinnell tied a basic pinhole camera, made out of an old drinks can to a telephone pole in Bristol and left it there for 6 months with a single sheet of photographic paper. Captures the orbit of the Earth.. just lurvely.

SOLO: "Never cease to believe, mr. Jones." //

Mary stared at her hand that was safely captured in William’s. She didn’t feel the breeze against her bare arms, nor did she particularly cared for it. Her heart was beating as her name rolled over his lips. For the first time, she wasn’t ‘Lion’ or 'Gryffindor.’ He acknowledged her, as an equal, as Mary Macdonald. It was naturally, shocking, enthralling. And as the song continued fading out, it made room for another one. The tones reached her ears and she knew the song that was playing by heart, but it didn’t seem to catch her attention, she was entirely captivated by the young man in front of her. His robes fitted him perfectly, his hair was neatly pulled back and the nervous look in his eyes made him even more attractive. But this wasn’t attraction. This was purely platonic, a friendship thriving between two supposed-to-be enemies. Two opposites. A Gryffindor and a Slytherin. Water and fire. A lion and a snake. Whether this was wrong or right was no longer a question, whether they should be doing this didn’t matter, they were here, this was happening, and it was inexplainable.

We got a thing goin’ on
We both know that it’s wrong
But it’s much too strong
To let it go now

She made a step forward, and so did he. His hand slipped to the small of her back, while hers rested on his shoulder. Her other hand was strangely tensed, but not in a troublesome matter. She smiled at the irony, the silliness of the choice in songs, whoever had picked them had been on a roll.

“I didn’t think Hogwarts was the kind of type to play soul songs,” Mary chuckled softly, allowing their dance to evolve.

A smirk appeared on his face, as they used the space on the floor of the Astronomy Tower. There was no room for chilliness, nor awkwardness. The Great Hall was far away, the music wasn’t loud, but it was loud enough to enjoy the moment. This was their dance, their moment. “Dumbledore works in mysterious ways,” William answered.

We meet every day at the same cafe
Six-thirty and no one knows she’ll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favorite songs

Me and Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin’ on
We both know that it’s wrong
But it’s much too strong
To let it go now

She chuckled, taking in his deeply amused look. If there was one thing she liked about him, it was figuring out the pieces of his puzzle. He didn’t show emotions, nor his true feelings. Making out what he felt by simply listening to what he was saying, didn’t work. His words never matched the deep, brooding eyes. They were always suggesting something differently. And Mary was starting to master the ability to read him like a book. He was a mystery, but she was headstrong on figuring him out.

You work in mysterious ways,” Mary said, daring to walk the dangerous waters. “You left the Great Hall to dance with a Muggleborn. I have a bad influence on you. I’m starting to believe we should stop our midnight rendezvous and the secret notes during class."

We gotta be extra careful
That do we don’t build our hopes up too high
Because she’s got her own obligations
And so, and so, do I

Me and Mrs.Jones
We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it’s wrong
But it’s much too strong
To let it go now

The fact that everything had to come to an end sooner or later, didn’t occur to her. Right now nothing mattered, not to her. The only thing she felt was the sensational feeling of being captured in his arms and feeling as if he was holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world. Blood, purity, houses, none of that played a part in the little world they were right now. Everything seemed far away. It was just the both of them. Dancing, swaying, using this moment as if it was the most natural thing that had ever happened to them.

"Do you know what the song is about?” she asked, resting her head against his shoulder. He shook his head, mumbling something about being a wizard and not having time for stupid muggle songs, which only caused her to smile. “It’s about a man and mrs. Jones and their extramarital affair, they meet every day at six-thirty at the same cafe. And they’re planning the rest of their lives, hoping that one day they will find a way to spend it together.

Well, it’s time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much, it hurts so much inside
Now she’ll go her way and I’ll go mine
Tomorrow we’ll meet
The same place, the same time

Me and Mrs. Jones
We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it’s wrong
But it’s much too strong
To let it go now

"But I think they both know that their dreams are just wishful thinking. It’s impossible, for they both have their spouse back at home waiting for them to arrive. They’ve got obligations, an entire life expecting them to be lived. And at the end of the song… Right about now,” she spoke softly while Billy Paul sang the words of leaving, “he says they have to leave and they both go back home, with aching hearts of course. They promise to meet each other again tomorrow, because they both know that what they are doing is wrong, but it’s too strong to let it go.”

And just like the song, the dance ended. And so was the connection she had shared with one mister William Nott. One last twirl and it would be over and just like Mrs. Jones and the man she loved, they would part their ways and continue living their lives. As she took her hands back, she stepped away. Silently forcing her feet to walk away towards the entrance of the Astronomy Tower. For a minute she wondered if she should leave in silence, but then she turned around, a careful smile on her face as she looked at him standing in the dark. "Sweet dreams, William Nott.“
