I played through Metal Gear Solid 3 from start to finish. Time to write some thoughts on it. I played the PS3 HD remaster on Normal difficulty. Here’s some thoughts – not formally written or edited, just the more
prominent feelings/thoughts that came to mind when I reflected on my
time with the game. IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED IT and plan to do so, and don’t want allusions to big plot stuff, you might want to avoid reading this.
It is a very strange game. Rather inconsistent in its attempt to be both an action anime and a straight-faced spy/military conspiracy plot. It ultimately doesn’t succeed at fully embracing either, but struggling to be both. Not even at the same time, really, but in segments. It made the story hard to swallow because the question I kept asking myself was, “OK, am I supposed to take this seriously? Because it’s being too silly. Am I supposed to laugh? Because it’s taking itself too seriously.”
A large creature with really long arms long legs and long fingers walked up to little Pincushion. They stared at him with glowing pure silver eyes. On the surface they looked like a shadow vut underneath they were solid. (them/they :3)
Pincushion blinked up at the creature, still hazy from sleep. “Mmmhh…w-wassat?” He blinked at the creatures arms, mistaking them for branches. “W-who’re you?”
