in sweden we don’t wish you a happy birthday in the song, we wish that you live until you’re hundred and then we’ll shoot you and put you in a wheelbarrow to later be hung backwards on a horse only to then be drowned in a bottle of champagne, and i think that’s beautiful
sherlock coming up to john and mary when they dance at their wedding and politely asks mary if he can have the dance and mary smiles sadly at him and gently pushes john to face sherlock and says ‘he’s all yours’
think about all the little things we have missed in the life at 221b we can only guess ourselves to, but are probably things that could actually happen.
like john falling asleep on the sofa and waking up with a blanket on top of him, like john buying sherlock’s favourite snacks that he never actually sees sherlock eat but they are always gone the day after, like sherlock casually standing outside the bathroom and listening to john singing in the shower because he likes his voice, like john looking after sherlock when he sleeps just to confirm that he’s still breathing.
and the little smiles of gratitude when john brings sherlock tea in the morning when sherlock has been up all night, and the times sherlock walks in to john’s room after a bad and loud nightmare and places a hand on his arm to silently tell him he’s there if he needs him even if it’s the most he can do, and when john replies with placing his hand on sherlock’s, silently telling him that this is everything and enough.
think about all the little things, not the most important things, but the things that makes their relationship as simple as it can be for them.
the fact that most sherlock parodies are at least a little gay or a lot of gay means that the actual show is glowing with the absent of that extra little gay to make the thing actual gay do you feel me do you feel the gay
when sherlock gets drunk his mind isn’t as sharp as usual and things he thought he’d deleted slips out of his mouth when he least expect it and on the stag party he gets a little bit too much to drink and finds himself telling john that he loves him before he can stop himself
“John, you are addicted to a certain lifestyle. You’re abnormally attracted to dangerous situations and people, so is it truly such a surprise that the woman you’ve fallen in love with conforms to that pattern?”
