“A blade truly sharpened for real use is not just called sharp, it is called ‘live’…The difference between a live blade and a sharp blade is that with a live blade, you do not feel the cut.”

~ Maija Soderholm

In the same way, a man or woman who trains for reality is not called skilled, but dangerous. Like a live blade, you won’t feel the 'cut’ until it’s too late. One can be skilled in many things, as can many things be given a sharp edge. But both a live blade and a dangerous man is created by intent and purpose.
