if you don’t find yourself important, if you don’t think you will amount to anything, or have a significant role in anything, if you feel like you have no right to participate in important matters, if it’s hard for you to believe that you could be vital and central to anything, if you feel like nothing you do is important, or could possibly mean anything, if you feel like you’re expendable and it doesn’t matter if you live long or not, if you’re scared that you’ll be killed off, and that it would be justified by one reason or another, if you feel like only good that could ever come from you is to please someone or make someone happy or help someone, if you automatically assume in every group that you’re the one who is obliged to make everyone happy and satisfied, and be there for their needs and wants, and otherwise you’re a burden and worthless, and shouldn’t bother everyone with your presence,
all of these are features of “slave mind”. All of this means you’ve been socialized as a slave. Only those who’ve been slowly and long-term brainwashed to find no value in their own lives, in their own freedom, are forced to think like this. It means you’ve been treated as if you’re not human at all, as if you don’t have equal rights, even worse, someone convinced you that you aren’t valuable, that your life shouldn’t be valued, not even by you. You’ve been forced to believe that you’re less than everyone else, and that everyone else comes first, and if you’ve tried to counter that idea, you’ve been abused into terror, or drowned in a sea of guilt, accused of being selfish, cruel, harmful, toxic, a burden on everyone around you. You’ve been hurt really greatly every time you tried to stand up for your human rights, so someone could keep using you for their own benefit, while convincing you that they’re the only thing that gives you any kind of value, and keeps you alive.
They lied to you. You are human. Your life and your work and your words and your thoughts and your well being are just as important and valuable as everyone else’s. Your life is yours, it belongs to you, it’s not there to serve others or to make others happy, it’s only there for you. Nobody has the right to make you feel guilty for fighting for yourself. You don’t owe anything to the world, not to your parents, not to other people. You’re not obliged to make the world a better place for everyone else but for you. World hasn’t given you even the mere basic human rights. You’re allowed to hate it for that. Your experience is human experience, and anyone who would force a human being to go thru this is a monster by default.
The last thing the men behind the curtain want is a conscious informed public capable of critical thinking. Which is why a continually fraudulent zeitgeist is output via religion, the mass media, and the educational system. They seek to keep you in a distracted, naive bubble. And they are doing a damn good job of it.
don’t shame people for their interests. our society has brainwashed us all to view certain things as “basic" and therefore lame. but sometimes individuals genuinely enjoy things that are considered “basic.” that doesn’t necessarily make them unoriginal, they probably just personally enjoy the fucking thing! find a hobby or something, don’t waste your life making others feel bad for enjoying theirs.
We all have our insecurities. Belly, thighs, arms, hair, skin, smell. This year has been a body revolution for me. I can run, jump, work, make love, laugh, cry and so much more. My body is beautiful with its stretch marks, cellulites, fat and bones. It’s hard to find love for your body when society brainwashes people with fat shaming.
People keep saying Tary’s bi, but he doesn’t seem to actually like girls?
idk, maybe it’s just me, but everything he’s said about girls is like “I should like them, this is what I read in a book, they should like this, the readers will like it and others will like me more if I like girls.”
EDIT: This was posted before we all KNEW he was not into girls at all (because of reasons explicitly detailed in the episode), and people understand more now. *thumbs up*
It’s time to wake up. The people in power go out of their way to make sure you are perpetually mislead and manipulated. The majority’s perception of reality, especially in the political arena, is not their own. It is shrewdly imposed upon them, without them even knowing it.
I guess how depends on why you’re going. Either way though go at your own speed. If you stress yourself out you’re most likely gonna fail. Can cut things out slowly or drop everything at once. Remember why you want to go vegan.
Some cosmetics and misc links (not everything from some of these companies/sites are vegan do some research/write-emails)-(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)
You’ll realize how ignorant people are, like not always in a whats that mean way in a holy shit wow people suck way. But..a lot of the time it rubs off on other people and sometimes the people around you may question their lifestyle choices and go vegan or vegetarian too, or just eat a lot less meat. When I went vegetarian then vegan my girlfriend went with me and a friend eventually. No one buys dairy milk in my house now and my dad and niece use my vegan butter/milk and faux meats sometimes (mostly because cheaper than meat). It spreads. Inform people. Ignore rudeness but educate. Remember that most of society is still brainwashed. We do not need animal products.
Veganism is not just about animals. These industries are hurting the planet, human health and keeping the hungry hungrier. Remember what’s important and it’s easy and rewarding.
