I miss Bible challenges that go around Tumblr. Do any of you remember coming across posts of Bible-reading or Scripture-sharing challenges?
Let’s motivate each other to fill the rooms of improvements in our lifestyle by reading The Book of Proverbs. The goal is to be saturated in God’s wisdom that we may grow in His sound judgment and discernment.
PROVERBS 31 CHALLENGE:
The Book of Proverbs only has 31 chapters. The goal is to fully accomplish this challenge in only 31 days or 1 month. Here are the rules…
1 Make time to pray and read 1 chapter from the Proverbs each day for every day of the month - whenever day this week you choose to start.
2 Reflect on what the chapter of the day is revealing to your lifestyle.
3 Write the verses from the chapter of the day that spoke to your heart.
4 Share on your blog a verse (or more) from the chapter of the day with the format of this example: Day 1 - To learn wisdom and moral instruction, and to discern wise counsel. (Proverbs 1:2 NET)
You may also include the insight or prayer request that you have after sharing the verse/s that enlightened you.
5 Apply the message of God’s Word in your life esp from the chapter you read. It will even be best to memorize parts or all of it - up to you.
6 Keep it going from steps 1 to 5. If you miss a day, continue with the next and still do steps 1 to 5. Feel free to hashtag #ScriptureinPictures
Are you up for this kind of challenge? If yes, SHARE this post and do it ♥
Keep your life private and you’ll enjoy it. Never put your business in public and then expect the public to stay out of your business. If you have a problem with someone don’t tell social media, tell the person involved.
Our time in history has noise going around from people’s rights to every bit of opinion. Many are influenced by the growing culture of those who speak up their rights and every thought. This could be truly helpful as it could raise awareness and encouragement.
Unfortunately our time’s delight in getting our rights and airing our opinion is not equal to our desire to what is true about the circumstance and people. It’s often not for edifying awareness. We tend to go for what would work our way or what would work for the majority of the crowd. When facts are out, when people’s integrity are challenged, we look against those who stand for what is true.
Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy. (Proverbs 27:6)
Not everyone who tells the truth has good motives. But we have to honor that when the truth comes from someone who fears the LORD in hopeful love, God has revealed the matter in His light. God has made known where He’s at work.
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. (Proverbs 27:9)
Let’s rebuke our own state of pride that makes us look down on people who are concerned. May we stand against our own pride that chooses to hide and cover sins just so we can look good as citizens. May we be found open to those God sends and listening to those who genuinely care. May we be in love no matter what wound God allows, being true friends according to the heart of the One who loved us first.
Those who look to the LORD Jesus for guidance express the truth they receive as prompted. Yes, they are sinners too, but they are saved by grace, redeemed in love, and living out the same love that may bring others to Life ♥
Individually none of us is perfect but together, when we walk the talk of support, we can do better. *hugs*
They all have personas they want to fill (usually tough or generally impressive people) but on the inside they're huge softees who just want a hug & to be able to fix people's problems.
Their nature is to stick to familiar, comfortable things but on the inside they long for things, whether they be new friends or new memories.
If they ever look tired or withdrawn, it just means they have a lot of shit going on elsewhere. Otherwise, they're on their toes about everything because usually everything is interesting to them. They usually don't have bad intentions, jus let them live.
On the outside they may seem like pushovers but truthfully they know exactly what they want and exactly how to get it. They've always got something new up their sleeves.
They seem like they're constantly living their life as if they're the star of a movie. This may be because in movies, there are always good endings. They might just be hiding behind the movie curtain, but not everything is perfect.
For some reason they always seem well put together and like everything is perfect but that's hardly the case. They overwork themselves. Constantly. Give them credit, they're amazing.
On the outside they seem flighty and carefree but on the inside, they crave deep and personal connections. It gets tiring to keep losing loves.
Have fun trying to figure out their motives. If they care about you, they will always keep in touch with you. Otherwise, there's no telling.
They are wise, it's true. But their wisdom doesn't come from quotes floating around social media. Their wisdom comes from mistakes, they make them just as much as every other sign.
They may seem distant and cold, but they don't want to hurt those they love. Sometimes they distance themselves to not hurt the people they care for.
If they seem superior or like they have a God-Complex, they're hiding their deep, dark emotions and insecurities. Don't go digging for them. Just treat them as beautiful as they are.
Even those who love this much still feel pain. If they act distant and moody, reassure them- don't bring them down. Words hurt them, and they leave an ever-lasting sting. Be careful of the words you say to them.
