New Camren Shippers Guide

A social media guide for new shippers …

  • Instagram: If you are mature enough, this social network will allow you to see some pics of Camren and spend hours/days/months/years trying to decipher their captions. If you are immature, you will probably go to their Instagram just to be annoying and comment “Camren is real” to every fucking picture posted by them (or their friends, or their family, or their neighbors).

  • Twitter: If you are mature enough, you will use this social network as an upgrade tool. Many accounts tweet all day the songs they both listen to on Spotify, pics they posted on Instagram, reblogs of Tumblr and everything they post on Snapchat (or anyone posting about/with them). If you are not mature enough, you will be attending this social network and will be very annoying to everyone, terrorizing the Camilizers, Laurenizers, Harmonizers, Camren Shippers, Fuckingnizers and etc … and if you do not have enough education, you will say horrible words to people you do not even know and buy endless fights.

  • Snapchat: Lauren does not use it much, Camila sometimes appears there. I would not say it’s a social network too much used by Camren.

  • Tumblr: Camren’s paradise! Here you are allowed to be delusional and meet other people just like you. On Tumblr, you’ll find the biggest (and craziest) Camren puzzle of the world. Events (and news) are debated civilly and the good thing is that mediators (blog owners) can choose to answer stupid questions or not. A place without big fights and with free space for you to be delusional as much as you want. Tumblr is Camren’s heart and soul.

  • Facebook: Camren does not know what Facebook is. (LOL)

What’s the best ship on TV right now?

Chemistry : Sparks flying!

Expect a slowburn? Bam! Canon!

Create a list of all the fluff we want on tumblr? Bam! Show gives you an overload of fanfiction level fluff!

Kevin Smith, a very influential creator on the show : Openly admits he’s Karamel trash!

Haters demand Mon-El’s death. Show: Here’s an overload of Karamel promotional pics and we’ll give you a super fluffy interview soon! Also here’s a conformation of him being in the next season..

Chris Wood after weeks of being bullied by haters on social media : Literally needs a guide on how to be a subtle shipper as he declares that this is the sweetest ship name ever!

Melissa, a professional actress: Can’t stop blushing during her not so convincing attempts to stay diplomatic!

Rotten tomatoes : Best season ever, Mon-EL? Best comic book character adaptation.

Spoiler TV: Pushes Supergirl to first spot among all TV shows after Karamel becomes canon..

After all the suffering I’ve endured in the past due to fictional ships, I’m finally getting all the love back :D

WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG POST.So, recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of tumblr love going around and I wanted to join the action, for all my followers because I know what it’s like when you’re going through a tough time and then you stumble upon something and it makes your day, maybe your week or your month, idk, I’m rambling, but I love you and I worked really hard on this so I hope you love it, I hope it helps you in some way

anonymous asked:

because otaku ice skaters is sounding like a great idea right now :)) headcanons for what anime they'd be watching right now, and reason/s why. (main 3 plus phichit haha thanks!)

I always wonder what anime my favorite characters would be watching! I like to think Yuuri actually watches anime, since he is from Japan. Thank you for the request! :) I really like the idea!

[Viktor Nikiforov]

  • Definitely a romantic comedy lover
  • So, obviously, he’s going to be watching Ouran High School Host Club
  • Viktor is literally Tamaki Suoh do not deny it
  • He loves the cherry blossoms and overall aesthetics of the animation
  • He loves all of the characters, also but Tamaki his is fave tho obviously
  • Ships Tamaki and Haruhi hard
  • he has a secret host club outfit cosplay that he sometimes wears when he’s home alone but you didn’t hear it from me
  • Black Butler has been watched and enjoyed
  • Watched the entirety of Sword Art Online, also
  • He wanted to see it for the action but he stayed for the romance
  • Willing to bet he’s seen some yaoi naughty anime wink wonk

[Yuuri Katsuki]

  • For surely a sports anime lover
  • He admires the athleticism the characters’ exhibit and their bodies
  • He’s seen every sports anime known to man, no doubt
  • bcuz he’s gay but we don’t talk about that
  • But his favorites are Free! and Haikyuu!
  • He really enjoys seeing gay beautiful friendships flourish through the action of sports
  • and he totally has a weird crush on Makoto Tachibana and don’t you dare tell me otherwise
  • tbh these shows inspire him a whole lot
  • they make him want to be a better athlete and to believe in himself more

[Yuri Plisetsky]

  • He probably would be into mystery, action, thrillers, etc.
  • You’ll probably find him watching something like Death Note or Tokyo Ghoul
  • and because he’s probably a super basic bitch He really likes Attack on Titan, also
  • If death plays an important role in the show, he’s all over it
  • Black Butler is his all time favorite, though, because he really sees himself in the brat Ciel
  • I mean cmon in episode four he LITERALLY offered up his soul to Lilia
  • His second fave is Danganronpa
  • If you’ve seen it you know why he loves it
  • death
  • I’m willing to bet this boi owns plenty of merch

[Phichit Chulanont]

  • He’s going to be a sports anime fan from hanging out with Yuuri for so many years
  • But he’s also explored on his own
  • He watches the really popular anime because he’s super basic like Yurio
  • Social media posts usually guide him in the direction of new shows
  • He’s seen Attack on Titan, Ouran High School Host Club, Cowboy Bebop, etc.
  • He really loved Sailor Moon for some reason????
  • It’s his all time favorite????
  • probably has a weird crush on Tuxedo Mask just sayin
  • His favorite part of Sailor Moon is their varying personalities, outfits, powers, etc.
  • he’s a sucker for cliche garbage like that and you know it

Are we really in a post-truth era? Somebody on the Internet said so. Many people, actually.

The presidential campaign was filled with falsehoods. Our president-elect no longer poses as a truth-teller: Aides and supporters say we should not take him literally. That’s good for him, since he endorsed a conspiracy theory that cast doubt on his own election. (Remember? He claimed without evidence that there were “millions” of illegal voters, who, if they did exist, might have swung the election to him?) Fake news stories about a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant prompted a real person to “investigate” with a rifle last week.

But let’s properly define the problem. History and experience tell me it’s not a post-truth era: Facts have always been hard to separate from falsehoods, and political partisans have always made it harder. It’s better to call this a post-trust era.

Tumblr & Hashtags

Ello to you, Social Media Hammies! I hope you’re all well!

I wanted to share what I know about using hashtags on Tumblr with you! If you’re looking for more, I also have a post about Instagram & Hashtags.

What I know:

There does not seem to be a hashtag limit like there is with Instagram’s 30 tag limit. That said, you probably shouldn’t go overboard because I don’t know if A. there really is a limit, and B. Maybe they will impose a limit in the future and cause issues if you have a meticulously organized art or other type of tumblr blog.

A popular tumblr hashtag I recommend including if you are an artist: #artists on tumblr

Notice how it’s “artists on tumblr” and not “artistsontumblr”? I’m not yet sure how the system reads or adjusts for spaces in tags, but unlike Instagram, you can indeed include the spaces in the hashtag.

Special Note: If you link social media accounts to tumblr, just double check the layout after you make a post.

Example: If you are posting directly to tumblr via the instagram app,  Tumblr will double-tag your post. The hashtags still show up in the text description and also appear in the hashtag system for tumblr. It will not add the usual spaces in the hashtags so if you want to manually go in after and edit it to add those hashtags then you can do so. I also go in and remove the hashtags from the description since they already show up in the tumblr tags below the post. Just personal preference.

Hashtags are very useful on tumblr and you can use them and re-directs to sort your art with links!

Example: You can add a link to your page and have it redirect to all the posts tagged “FanArt” or “Sketchbook” or whatever floats your boat. This is helpful if you want to let people sort through your original characters vs fan art, or anything else! Tumblr teaches you how to do this here.

I hope this helps! Have a super rad day!

Best wishes from your friendly neighborhood social media hammy! :3 *Squeak!*

Be sure to follow @social-media-hammy for any updates :D

As usual, no one asked me what I read this year, but I’m here to tell you anyway, the internet. Fifty three books so far, and only three of them by men. It’s not Ben Lerner’s fault that I read 10:04 in a haze of sunshine and bourbon and heartrending grief after my friend’s baby died, but let me tell you, being in the grip of intense, near-unbearable emotion really makes over-intellectualized novels-about-novels feel indulgent and, frankly, kind of cutesy. I mean really what I read this year was Ferrante, and the rest is fucking commentary. A. just texted me “I feel personally victimized by Nino Sarratore” and I wrote back GOD I KNOW RIGHT????

But the commentary was good commentary, mostly. I don’t mean to diminish it by saying it’s not Ferrante. What else could be? And as much as I admire her seclusion, her will to privacy and her confidence in the strength of her work, the idea that it doesn’t need her presence to communicate or succeed, I appreciate the women whose writing I’ve read this year who’ve also put themselves out there, on Twitter and Tumblr and whatever other social media, and guided me towards more women to read. That would be Sarah McCarry, who led me to May Lan-Tan and Sofia Samatar, and Emily Gould and Ruth Curry, who get credit for Chelsea Hodson, Maggie Nelson, Heidi Julavits, and Jillian Tamaki. Can you make a list about women and books and the internet and not say Rachel Fershleiser’s name? Rachel introduced me to Angela Flournoy and Rufi Thorpe. I forget who got me started on Rachel B. Glaser but Paulina and Fran was so great. Some of it just in the air, or whatever the internet version of that is: Claire Vaye Watkins, Kate Atkinson, Mira Jacob, Wendy Ortiz. I read Rebecca for the first time this year! Guys, it’s really good and weird!

The best, though, is the steadily growing stack of books by people I actually know, or have gotten to know since I read them. I went to college with Kate Hattemer and Becky Dinerstein and high school with Steph Cha. I’ve been slooooooowly interviewing Kevin Fanning about fanworks and creative work and “real work;” I wrote about Karolina Waclawiack’s first novel for Emily Books last year and have felt incredibly smug watching the rest of the world catch up to how good she is. I had dinner with Katie Coyle in San Francisco! And I’m so glad to have fellow pop cultural conspiracy theorist Catie Disabato on my bookshelf and in my phone.

It’s just cool,  you know? I mean, I sold my book this year, and it’s the best and scariest thing that’s ever happened to me, the idea that very soon I’m going to have to stop fussing with it and let it out into the world where people will absolutely inevitably say cruel things about it. Someone is going to dash off some two-minute one star Goodreads review and I will read it, don’t tell me not to, I am definitely going to read it, and it is definitely going to break my heart. So it’s been especially nice to feel, this year, that I’m a part of a community of people who do this, who love this, who will understand that I’m trying, who have already survived the part where they opened up their tender selves and said, “here. I made this. This is for you.”

Warning for those who run online stores and the likes

As part of my daily life and career I’m forever telling scammers to “take their interest elsewhere” and other calmly worded versions of “get fucked.”

Today my beloved shared with me a email that had raised some concern for her…. and to an extent myself. See I’m not one for allowing scammers to exist… after all they tarnish my reputation as a Social & Digital Media Specialist.

There of course was a basic shell for HTML and other embellishing factors to make it look legit, minus…. one small thing, remember the first photo? The one with “via” at the top?

That’s a mass marketing tool. The guy pools emails into a system and then sends them out en masse. $10 a pop for each coupon per 2 weeks. If you were to post a years worth the guy would be set for doing nothing but clicking a button!

So I’m sure you’re probably wondering why this is a scam and not a legit business tactic? Well given that Amazon, Apple and Android marketplaces are all populated with rating bots etc. would you really expect a low life site like this to be any different?

You wont see any business improvement and anything that you may get you’re already losing $10 on if it’s the only one in 2 weeks + whatever insane discount you’ve put up.

Don’t be put off by assholes like this, if someone wants to link your stuff and show that you’re amazing at what you do. They will. But don’t use assholes like this guy.

Put in the hard work to promote your stuff, encourage your followers to do the same.

Just another PSA about business social media, by Bue.

Handy dandy social media scrubbing guide for Louis post-breakup.

Handy links to Louis + Eleanor on social media in case he feels like scrubbing his “ex” out in the grand tradition of breakups everywhere.

If any of these links don’t work anymore, it’s because they’ve been deleted. (feel free to delete these slowly Louis, we’re fine with it being kinda subtle)
