A real Olympic veteran. This would be his 4th OIympics. 2006 Olympic gold medalist, 2002 Olympic silver medalist, and 2010 Olympic silver medalist, a 3-time World champion, a 7-time European champion, a 4-time Grand Prix Final champion, and a 10-time Russian national champion.

Yuna Kim (Team S.Korea)
Even though she said that she’s not focusing on defending her title, the reigning Olympic gold medalist is competing in her 2nd Olympics. She is a 2-time World champion, the 2009 Four Continents champion, a 3-time Grand Prix Final champion, and a 6-time South Korean national champion. She is also the current record holder for the scores in the short program, long program and combined total. She has not finished off the podium in her entire career.

One of the strong and favorite medal contenders (and my personal fave as well), Sochi is his first Olympics. He is the 2012 World bronze medalist, 2-time Four Continents silver medalist, 2-time Grand Prix Final medalist (gold for 2013, silver for 2012), 2013 Trophee Eric Bompard silver medalist, 2012 NHK gold medalist, 2011 Rostelecom gold medalist, 2012 Skate America silver medalist, 2013 Skate Canada silver medalist, 2-time Finlandia gold medalist and 2-time (current) Japanese champion.

Known for her triple axels, Mao is a 2-time World champion, the 2007 World silver medalist, 2013 World bronze medalist, a 3-time Four Continents champion, a 4-time Grand Prix Final champion and a 6-time Japanese National champion.

Sochi would be her 3rd Olympics. She is the 2012 World champion, a 5-time European champion, and the 2011 Grand Prix Final champion. She is also a medalist at 4 other World Championships, 4 other European Championships, and 3 other Grand Prix Finals, the 2003 World Junior bronze medalist, and a 7-time Italian national champion.

Julia, known for her flexibility and jumps, is competing at her first Olympics at the young age of 15. She is the 2014 European champion, the 2013 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, and a two-time Russian national silver medalist. She holds the record for the youngest woman to win the European title.

They are currently on top and are expected to win the Olympic gold for ice dancing. They are the 2-time World champions, the 2010 Olympic silver medalists, 2-time World silver medalists, 5-time Grand Prix Final champions, 3-time Four Continents champions and 6-time U.S. national champion.

He has charmed many with his Riverdance LP and this is going to be his 1st Olympics. He is the 2013 Trophée Eric Bompard bronze medalist, 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and 2014 U.S. national silver medalist.

She would probably be most remembered for her wonderful skating during the 2013 Worlds (she placed 4th in the free skate). She is the 2010 JGP Final bronze medalist, the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics bronze medalist and a 3-time Chinese national champion.
